Definitely NOT a 4 star hotel or service. The actual hotel grounds are beautiful everywhere has olive trees but it’s very dated like the hotel has been closed for years and just reopened. The AC is rubbish even after getting “it fixed” it works when it wants and not very cold. The reception and dining room is a sweat box, making all meal time’s uncomfortable. The restaurant all inclusive food is bearable at best you can tell food is reused in multiple ways. The drinks machine is ALWAYS broke and good luck finding a glass. Asking the waiters for cutlery and drinks starts to feel like your begging. The desert are warm everyday. The slide pool is so dirty you can’t see the bottom, many guest complained but nothing was done. The beach is a 3 minute walk (a mini van is available when working) once you get to the beach you are pushed to the right hand side sun beds because it’s partnered with a beach bar where they DO NOT want you to sit. Only drinks available no food for the hotel guest as part of the all inclusive. I fell down the hotel entrance steps (the hotel medical staff gave me a ice pack) the accident was not reported by that staff member, because the cleaner had washed them at 2pm with no visible sign and not once since it happened has a manger or member of staff asked if I’m ok my ankle is completely swollen and bruised. Three accidents happened while I was there. My son has additional needs and was been a bit much in the kids club and instead of approaching me or his dad the male kids entertainment team member flicked him with a towel and then denied it. I am very disappointed and in total shocked it’s advertised as 4 star. Such a shame. This is NOT nit picking (it’s FACTS) if your looking for a cheap and not fussed holiday then great! But anyone with middle to high hygiene needs this is not for you.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS I BOOKED FOR 12 DAYS AND LEFT ON DAY 4! Definitely not a 4 star hotel and only caters for locals or French specking tourists, anyone else is treated like a problem. Upon arrival the reception person Sonia was not welcoming at all, no smile, no welcome, nothing. I literally had to inform her I was checking in to which she replied in a very sarcastic way "yes" this set the tone for my entire experience, and how she has so many good reviews is beyond me. She offered me no information about anything, no meal or drink times, no information about the hotel, beach shuttle or map of the hotel/area nothing at all. I literally had to find everything for myself as my requests seemed to irritate her. The all inclusive food is absolutely appalling, it's always bland, poorly cooked but above all no variety. Everyday was the same food reused over and over and everything made me sick. The drinks provided are ok but forget it if you want to go to the snack bar, it's just disgusting. The rooms are spacious although old and tired and housekeeping is very good. I noticed that my air-conditioning was not working and neither was the fridge and after telling reception I was told they have to activate the aircon from the reception desk but of course I didn't know this because I was given no information. I was told the fridge would be changed immediately but it never happened. WiFi is only available in the lobby and you can forget about getting a connection in your room it never ever connects. The entertainment is like the food, bland and the same every single night plus it's all in french so to any non french speakers you cannot enjoy or partake. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away and it's full of camel poo, nothing is sign posted and the reserved area for this hotel is under the name of another hotel. I guess if you take the shuttle you will be informed of this but of course I was given no information on such things and was left to ask the many unhelpful beach staff. The gift shop, forget it, they will ask you for obscene amounts of money for something you can get at the Medina for a fraction of their price. All in all this was an awful experience and not only do I feel cheated I feel utterly disrespected, so much so that I got alternative accommodation on day 4 at a cost to myself (which was amazing and saved my holiday). I always endeavour to try and see a positive. So to Mohammed the young guy with longish hair at the inside bar. Thank you so much for your kindness, professionalism, big smile, friendly chats and for making me feel welcome. You were the only member of staff that showed me any kind of humanity. I sincerely wish you all the best in life! Kindest regards, Matt from New Zealand. ***If any reply is made by this hotel with what ever lies you want to say to try and justify anything that I have written STICK IT WHERE THE SUN DONT SHINE!***

I visited this hotel as a group of 3 families - I will share only my family experience to avoid wrongfully expressing others feelings. My family consists on 2 adults (Aged 39 and 30) and 3 children (Aged 9, 7 and 3), my youngest child is disabled and requires a wheel chair. We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. GOOD/DECENT Food - The food was decent and hot most of the times, and there was variety in the evenings, however breakfast and lunch was the same food every day. The head chef was a gentleman - he arranged for a birthday cake for us and would ask if we ever needed anything. It was because of him we were able to resolve some of the issues below. This was it. BAD This will take a while... Room - we booked quad rooms, and we received room 458 the single pane glass in the room allowed for the evening entertainment to sound like the speakers were inside our room till 12am. This drove us crazy. Additional to this, the lift for the hotel is next door and sounded like an extremely loud generator whenever the lift moved. Combine the sounds together and the fact the Air conditioning was undersized for the rooms so we were sat sweating and sleepless made for a perfect torture room. My wife was in tears and my children couldn't sleep. I informed the reception on 4 occasions, and only till I expressed frustration in person did they send a 'maintenance' worker - this individual tapped the vent a few times and told me the AC was fixed, it wasn't. The Wifi also did not work in the entire hotel except in the lobby area (and our new room). I had no choice but to move my kids and wife into one of the other families room we had arrived with. The next day we demanded to move rooms and on the 3rd room I viewed, we were content with it , although the phone did not work. Every room we viewed either the AC didn't work, or there was a leak, or there was not enough space for the full family. Reception - Constantly broke promises, and we could tell we were not the only ones being told one thing and nothing was being delivered - on most occasions of walking past the reception there was somebody complaining about something. I was shouted at by the reception staff when I was asking for the bare necessities. Drinks - If you are lucky to find a glass in the restaurant, there is a man stood pouring either cola, fanta or lemonade (one man for the entire food service for lunch and dinner). Water is only available in a machine - when we drank this on the first day, all my family became ill. We requested bottled water and this is only available to your room for free. Bottled water is charged at 3 dinar every where else in the resort. Beach - The local beach (7 minutes walk) is vile. The walk up to the beach is disgusting, and smells like a sewage. Cigarette butts everywhere in the sand, and a lot of other mess. For my family's safety we did not go into the sea or tread too far into the beach and returned to the hotel. Disabled Access - For wheelchair users, this is not a wheelchair friendly hotel. Access from the lobby to anywhere else in the resort requires going up or down some stairs. For my 3 year old daughter we were fortunate we could take her out the wheel chair and carry her up/down the stairs, however for an adult completely dependent on a wheelchair, then there is no facility from the lobby to else where for you. Waiters - Literally ignored everyone. The only purpose for them is to ad hoc clear tables and on occasion leave some cutlery. On most occasions everyone is scampering around looking for a knife/fork/glass. Safety - On a few floors there are windows approx 6 foot tall and about 2 feet off the floor with windows that open. I can not understand how this has passed a safety check. This is an accident waiting to happen - a child could easily fall out these windows. I would urge the hotel to address this as a matter of urgency.

Not that great, not a massive selection of food and if it was a majority was cold. Rooms outdated and loose electrical plugs on the walls. Area was worn down and buildings look like they'd been grenaded. Not a thing to do and the pool was very cold. The indoor one was the only option and my husband found a 6 inch shard of glass in the bottom of the pool that he discarded himself. When I told the staff I couldn't afford a massage, as lovely as it would have been, I didn't have enough and he sulked and stormed off. What made the holiday was meeting some lovely people who kept things entertaining...but even one of them got ripped off when he gave a local money and the guy never came back. Was told we'd be fed on the pirate ship trip which was a lie and we had hungry kids by dinnertime, not fun. They spent a week miserable and moaning. The whole trip was a nightmare :(

The hotel is very run down. The food is the same every day and not labeled so you never know what you're eating! There are not enough sun beds and the transport to the beach is a health hazard

I stayed here with my husband and 4 daughters, and our best friends, for 1 week from the 10th-17th April. The pool is lovely, as is the main seating area however, sadly, we were so disappointed with the food, and it actually affected the whole holiday. I would say the food was more like a 2 star standard. Very basic, only fruit available were oranges across breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pretty much the same food was available at lunch and dinner. The only meat available that looked like steak was actually liver steak. There was fresh orange juice available at breakfast which was always enjoyed. Breakfast became our favourite meal, a tired fry up was available however you could always choose omelette or pancake. We found hair in our food on 3 occasions, food was generally warm not hot. We had paid for all-inclusive however the choice of snacks between meals were painfully substandard. The choice was: ham sandwich (hard bread) in clingfilm, oranges, a couple of times mini cakes appeared. With regards to drinks, the only mixer available with the alcoholic drinks was squash. There was one 'cocktail' available (with squash) which was difficult to finish. Beer was in the all-inclusive.

This place is so run down and dated. Food is repetitive, not a great selection at all. Snack bar is empty with the odd sandwich that has probably been displayed all week. Whilst at the snack bar a fly went into the crepe batter, the chef just took it out and carried on making crepes... disgusting No Air conditioning, one iron for the whole hotel, hard stuff beds and pillows. Tiles broken in room and bathroom. Bathtub leaking so there was a flood in the room. I cleaned this myself....the list goes on. Spa is filthy, indoor swimming pool is disgusting with grime and filth. No towels at poolside or indoor pool. Spa head person Shoukri offering men additional services as well as a spa.....this made my stomach churn. Staff are helpful in kitchen, restaurants and housekeeping, staff on the front desk are out to make an additional penny for themselves by scamming you with taxi fares, charging you double triple the price when in fact you can walk on the Rd and get a taxi for the fraction of the price. I found staff on front desk especially the woman got upset if you didn't order a taxi through her!!!! Bizarre Please AVOID AT ALL COSTS UF YOU VALUE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. I have only just got back home from the worst experience ever!

I don't normally write reviews but I do feel this hotel is being totally trashed by people nitpicking at the slightest thing!! We are currently here, no issues EVER finding sun lounger, food is different from lunch til evening, bottles of water left by cleaners daily in room, the people complaining about cutlery I don't understand because the tables are set up before entrance and spoons are in centre of food hall, never had an issue with cups ,the waiters clear the tables as soon as finished and are so polite, when outside the waiters bring you coffee or cocktails or any drink of your choice, I feel tight as I've not tipped yet but will give lil money to each when we leave, but still they go above and beyond for guests, the rooms are dated but your in Africa not western countries, different styles etc , and the man who runs the little shop in the entrance of the hotel is adorable ordering in certain gifts my autistic son wants I cannot fault this place and certainly don't understand the negativity it gets!!!

Rooms are dated and in need of a refurb. Same goes for pool and slides. Location is more central than newer hotels and really easy to get to New Yasmine Marina and Old Madina. Staff are absolutely fantastic. Really helpful and very welcoming. Food is was hit and miss but there was always something everyone could eat. Beach was close by and gorgeous but staff there were not friendly at all. Worth a visit if one can put up with dated decor and rooms

The worst experience ever . Such poor service , very bad Hotel smelly staff , 0 Hospitality ,dirty swimming pool , disaster food I got stomach pain since my first day with their food . I was waiting more than 1 hour to check-in because the reception is so busy and there is no manager to handle the guest complaint , so I asked him the call manager and the staff told me that they left at 3 Pm !! so when I insiste to meet the manager they send me to her office , and when I asked her why there is only 1 receptionist while there is queue of minimum 10 personne she told me that I doesn't mean that we don't have staff, they are in the back office busy they don't need to be all of them in front of you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahah. Really I can accepte this from staff but not manager !!!! . This Hotel deserve only 1 star no more .

OK for a cheap break, you get what you pay for. The food OK but not if you're a picky eater, queues were terrible in the restaurant and was like a free for all most of the time. The hotel is in serious need of a makeover too, it's looking very tired. 1st room we were given was awful but 2nd was OK, this was after a full day lost of the holiday trying to sort it. All staff were helpful except the awful woman on reception, she's definitely in the wrong job. Seriously lacking in people skills and such an attitude problem.

Scam, racism and dirtiness Watch out, all good advice have been bought or given by relatives. Pilows and matress smell sweat. Sheets with Blood and towels with brown traces (try to imagine what it can be). Don’t be fooled by other advice. Stay at home safe and sound, hygiene is not a principle of this hôtel. Room 359 (for 1 night)

Because everything is run down and the food is discussing . Something I would expect from a 2* hotel

Let's get the bad out of the way, the rooms are dated, only really 1 plug socket, the showers run hot and cold and sometimes have barely enough power to get you wet, the rest of the bathroom is just as bad. The hotel is nice but again could do with a bit of tlc. The food is good. 90% of the staff are great, special mention to Sonya in reception, Micky and Jamel the photographers, Kamel in the restaurant and Rico from the animation team. This all in all is like my rating a 3 🌟 hotel. Outside the hotel there is really only 1 ok restaurant and a nightclub called Latino which I would rate 5 🌟 if it had air-conditioning. The Friday markets are poor I would advise the new town for shopping or the old town if you don't mine done strong haggling.

Very busy and understaffed hotel. It is on the lower end of a Tunisian 4star hotel in my opinion. Queues for drinks and food were just horrendous even if it was the peak of summer holidays they should have taken that into consideration. Rooms are basic and dated needs upgrading...broken taps and shower was full of lime scale. That said my sisters room appeared more recently refurbished. Rooms were made up and cleaned daily. Beach is only 6 mins walk or a daily shuttle. Food was local cuisine plus chips and plentiful of salads. Would not go back with kids as meal times were chaotic due to the queues. If it was just adults I probably would be more tolerant and patient. All that said it was not the most pricey inclusive holiday that I have been on. 2 pounds gets you a taxi to the two main town centres. Overall I would go back only if it was me and the wife where we would not be so bothered by the chaotic service.

Me and my friend booked a week here last minute and it was only cheap so we weren't expecting much because you get what you pay for...but I must say the holiday was amazing. The staff are absolutely lovely. The animation team work really hard to make your stay fun and entertaining. Yes the room is pretty basic but it was clean. The only two things me and my friend could fault are the fact that the WiFi is only in the lobby (but at times it was nice not to be glued to our phones) and there wasn't much variation on food. So if your a piccy eater like me it could be an issue. So if your looking for a cheap and cheerful holiday this is a great holiday!

We stayed for a week in this hotel and had a wonderful time. The hotel staff is so friendly and courteous. The restaurant had a good variety of food and it tasted delicious. The hotel isn't new and also not everywhere well maintained, but it's very clean and looks well. The pool area is enjoyable and our children had a lot of fun there. The sea and beach is in walking distance and an old but working shuttle is available. The sea is for a large distance shallow and the water extremely clear. We also used the spa and it's gorgeous. We can recommend this hotel to everyone who looks for a good and not so expensive resort. We had a lot of fun there and like to say thanks to the whole staff.
