Hotel is beautiful inside. Room is very nice, clean and roomy; beds are very comfortable. There’s a $75 holding fee for incidentals. One drink vending machine only took cash, went to another vending machine and looked like it took cards; however, when trying it all it said was authorizing but never did anything so we canceled the transaction. We went back to the room and tried to order some waters through room service but was told it might be a little bit because they will have to ask house keeping to bring it to us. House keeping staff was very pleasant. Restaurant was good, only one server available but she was great. Parking options are either valet or self parking at another hotel parking garage for almost the same amount as the valet.

The hotel is beautiful, but we were not treated well and some things are slipping through the cracks. Valet was nice, but they are understaffed and couldn't keep up with demand. We saw them wreck a luxury vehicle in the rush of trying to keep up with customers. We booked the hospitality suite because we were in town for our wedding reception (my husband and I eloped last year in Kenya) and needed extra space to get dressed. The suite looked nice but needed maintenance. The Murphy bed leaned to one side and the first pack n play they brought for our newborn would not stay engaged (unsafe!). Upon checking out, my credit card was charged for a marble table that I'm sure was chipped before our stay. Even after communicating that I noticed it was chipped while getting my makeup done, the director of sales charged us without doing further investigation. This hotel looks great on the surface but its operations are struggling. Also, the photographer for our bridal party called ahead to get permission for us to take photos inside the hotel; however that was not communicated with the staff on duty. We were questioned by several staff members and watched like a hawk by the head of security even after he was given the info he needed. It was such an uncomfortable experience and disappointing.

Great hotel. The property is a well maintained historic building. However, the staff were the issue here. We had the staff at the pool bar be rude to us. I went up to the bar and the young lady rudely said “I’m closed”. Second; we wanted to go up the the 8th floor observatory. I’m a Marriott Gold Elite member, so I figured I would have access to that, and just wanted to check out the view. The lady at the desk was very short with me when I asked her if you had to be on a certain floor to go up there. And then the Tavern 🙄. We went into the tavern and we were not even acknowledged. We sat at a table and the bar. The bartender saw us sit down but we waited a while and just left. I will say, the bartender at Joe Cains Cafe was very nice to us and served us well. We had a few drinks and she was very friendly to us. Manager, you need to work with your staff. There is absolutely no excuse to have staff like this at such a quality hotel. I still give you a three for the great building, the excellent valet service, and the Joe Cains Bartender.

Loved the marriage of historic spaces and new towers. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Staff was professional and good at their jobs. Valet parking is the way to go. They were quick with the car and helped get the luggage to and from the room. Dining options in around the hotel were plentiful. I recommend happy hour next door at Dauphin’s.

I normally would have tremendously great things to say about this hotel and the service that's offered. But unfortunately that's not why I'm here this time. The valet supervisor, Stan to be specific, has extremely poor social and customer service skills. He has a disgusting attitude. Positive tone and body language is not his expertise by far. His method of handling a stressful situation was very rude, unconcerned, and down right unacceptable. Now as for the rest of the valet staff they were amazing, caring, and all around kind. I wish and pray he can learn something from them about tone, enthusiasm, and delivery when speaking to others outside of his "preferred" interactions. STAN needs to learn what it is to treat others like decent human beings and not beneath him. To the other valet members thank you soo much for your genuine care and always being nice when crossing paths.

Beautiful hotel and our room was excellent. We were there for a wedding that was beautiful as well. We heard the hotel was haunted and decided to check it out and it did not disappoint. We went to the 5th floor around 4:00am and videoed. At the end of the Hall, the temperature suddenly dropped significantly. After reviewing the video the next day, we realized we were not alone as a creepy voice said something to us we could not understand. The voice and breathing were quite frightening. It was exciting and frightening at the same time. Video is on YouTube. Search for "Battle House Renaissance Hotel: haunting?"

By far my favorite place to stay when visiting Mobile. The front desk staff are very friendly and recommended great local restaurants both times I’ve visited. The ladies at Joe Cain and the Trellis Room are phenomenal. Rooms are always spotless and the beds are comfy. 10/10.

Another wonderful stay at The Battle House! …the first return since before COVID and so we were not sure what to expect. But it was like coming home. The service was perfect from promptly being met by Brad upon driving up, to the friendly and efficient personnel at check-in, to Davis handling our luggage and promptly bringing it to our room…filling the ice bucket, assuring we had no questions and offering directions to our restaurant. The room was spacious and tastefully reminiscent of a bedroom of a large estate. The Club Level offered daily breakfast buffet and evening wine and Hors D’oeuvres. Checkout was a breeze …Jake promptly retrieved our car and came and got our luggage and stowed it in our car. Glad to see at The Battle House has retained its elegance, superior service, and spotless and luxurious rooms.

Enjoyable stay. The rooms are very spacious and our room had a bathtub which is a plus for our family. Location is convenient and staff is friendly and attentive. There is only valet unless you want to to park on street so prepare for that. Overall good experience and we would stay again!

If ever in Mobile or the surrounding area, this is the place to stay. The property is beautiful and well maintained, the guest rooms comfortable and well appointed. The management here is to be complimented for the quality of this exceptional staff. Each encounter with someone was met with a hello or a cordial greeting. A shout out to London who took care of us each morning in the executive lounge. He was attentive, pleasant and represented the hotel well. I can see London rising in his career!

We absolutely love spending the night here when we are in Mobile. It is a perfect location for a night out on the town. The staff and rooms are excellent in every way. The food in the hotel's restaurant is a real hidden gym too. We love everything about this hotel. I highly recommend!

We loved it here! History buffs were living the dream. Andrew Jackson’s site of headquarters in the 1812 war (in a prior building) This is where Stephen Douglas was staying on the election night he lost to Lincoln, and where Wilson gave his famous speech that the US would never add additional land via force or violence. The stained glass ceiling in the Trellis Room is Tiffany glass. The people working there are very sweet and knowledgeable.

I'm a local guy, wanted to stay at the historic battle house with family as I heard nothing but good things about it. I've to say, we had an amazing experience! Battleship hotel is one of the nicest I've stayed at, mainly because of the service & location. The architecture and history makes this hotel special. We were greeted with cocktail, nice way to feel welcome. Receptionists were very friendly and we received great service! Valet service was very kind & courteous! It is pretty localized to downtown and within walking distance of some great food and entertainment spots. They have a SPA & amazing fitness center as well. I was happy to see our bathroom had separate tub and shower. Check them out! I'm looking forward to stay there again.

We stayed in a junior suite, and the morning views from the balcony are just simply amazing! I had my morning coffee from Starbucks, which is waking distance from the hotel sitting on the balcony, enjoying the views. The rooms are very spacious, with large windows allowing natural to fill the room. The details in the architectural designs in the lobby are exquisite! Your eyes instinctively follow the designs from bottom to top.

Stayed overnight to break up a long road trip. The service provided by the staff was exceptional, and the hotel itself is beautiful, as well as the rooms. The only drawback was the room has a slight odor to it, but went away after starting the air conditioning. I would definitely stay here again and just bring a bottle of fabreeze or something.

My husband got us a room for the weekend at the Battle House. We stayed on the historic side which was outsatnding!! The rooms were so clean and spacious. All of the staff were super friendly. It was a great way to stay in town for a nice little get away.

I had to come to Mobile for a function. I chose to stay here because of all the hype. Well to me it’s outdated. It was a great experience, check in was super easy. It is very loud, doors slamming, the cars from the street you hear everything. I am a Marriot member and I usually stay at the one on Airport Blvd. It was a nice experience, but it’s a one and done for me.

Awesome Hotel! Highly recommend staying here multiple times/multiple rooms over time to get the full experience. Each piece has something different to offer.

The hype is real. The hotel is immaculate, right down to the very last detail. My room was great, the bed was comfortable and the pillows were great! I enjoyed the GYM, and the pool, which were both very high quality. I also liked that you did not have to leave the premise for a good breakfast.

There is NO BETTER place to stay in Mobile. The immediate step back into the past and wonderful smell when you walk in is something you will remember forever! The concierge lounge is impeccable and the service is legendary. The pool is magnificent and you get a wonderful view of it when you work out.

Friendly service with very nice and thoughtful free accommodations such as morning coffee, outdoor pool and fitness center. Ambiance is very elegant with lots of areas for socializing in an open, high-ceiling setting. Bar with live music in the front, and Chick-Fil-A and Starbucks next door for quick morning meals before work conferences.

After an amazing much needed massage from Brad, my friends and I will be back! Abbie was such a sweet attendant that made us feel more than welcome! All the way around, we enjoyed our spa experience! I can’t recommend this spa enough! 10/10 recommend. 🥰

Beautiful room, with all the amenities to work comfortably. Well appointed bathroom with separate tub and shower. The hotel itself is gorgeous, historical site. The front desk staff and valets were helpful and attentive. Location is great for both work and local shops/ restaurants.

I was somehow charged extra for a car I did not have. I called and asked why my valet charge was 42. How does that even make sense? The valet fee is 23.94 for one car. I talked to the lady at the front desk about it and she said she would get it sent off to the right department to get it fixed and she apologized for the issue and I wish I would have gotten both of their names because as of 7/21 it is still not fixed and I talked to her on 7/7. I have never had such a bad experience with Marriot before. It is especially disappointing because this overshadows the good time we were suppose to have because we went for my Husbands birthday. Not to mention when we first got there the sheets had to be changed because of a stain on the sheets.

This was an amazing experience! The Battleship hotel it's the nicest I've ever stayed at. The receptionists were very friendly and we received great service! We also brought my 20 lb dog along for vacation. The pet fee was very reasonable! They were very courteous and kind even with my dog! The swimming area was very nice and clean they had a great shallow pool for little kids as well as their hot tub was very clean and just the perfect way to end a long day.

This is my favorite hotel in downtown Mobile, Alabama. The rooms are very nice with a high standard of cleanliness, good decor and a comfortable layout. They have 2 different bars to pick from. The restaurants nearby are all superb and walking distance. Right across the street is one of the best restaurants in town. I have not had a problem with street parking but they also have other options. I highly recommend.

Five star review, but that's what I would expect to experience for a hotel in this price range. Really impressive architecture inside, rooms were very comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Ate dinner at the 1st floor bar. Food, atmosphere, and service were terrific. Really enjoyed my stay, first class. Only surprise was the $24 mandatory valet parking (or go find public garage), though I did take advantage of it and appreciate it.
