Came here on a Sunday morning English tour at 9:30am. The guide Matteo was informative on everything balsamic vinegar in the Modena region and specifically the Acetaio Guisti. Amazing to hear now with the 17th generation of the Guisti family still making its vinegar the same from so many years ago. This property has a museum, the ageing room, and the gift shop where we tasted the many vintage of the famous liquid. I recommend you book the 9:30am Guisti balsamic vinegar English tour, and then hustle over to the 4Madonne cheese factory for its English tour at 11am for a nice DIY tasting outing in one morning in Modena. Taxi cost about EU 16 to the factory from the town center, and EU 22 back to town. In mid 2022 just for context. A most memorable visit.

Must see! Amazing experience with a free English tour followed by a tasting of about 8 sorts of vinegar. You are not forced to buy anything but you will just because of the great experience you had and the hype they share for balsamico. Thank you!

10 mins outside of Modena, a brilliant little tour at the oldest Balsamic producer. Our host was amazing and yes, you taste all of the balsamic in my photo. Well worth the visit and you will buy from their gift shop. Stunning. Thank you

Great place. The guide spoke excellent English, and answered all our questions. The solace is small but with lots of historical details. The testing of the different balsamic vinegars in the end of the tour is the highlight. Also the tour was free, yet everyone usually buys some balsamico at the end of the tour. Call in advance for English tours since they are limited.

Matteo was a wonderful tour guide. He explained everything in detail and his knowledge was exceptional. I enjoyed every part of this and was not sure at first but I think it was a highlight

We went for a FREE tour, just 4 of us and a guide. It was an amazing experience and the time we spent there definitely worth the effort. History of this family and balsamic is full of interesting details, that you won't forget. At the end we bought a few sets and bottles of delicious balsamic vinegar. If you are visiting that region this is a must place to visit!

Booked a tour of the estate with a tasting the evening before. Ther were very quick to respond. The tour was very interesting and the explanations were just right. Not too short not too long. The tasting of the balsamic vinegar was also very interesting. Everything was free of charge. At the end you can buy some of their products in the store.

Wonderful tasting room and tour. Tastings and tour can be in English and are free, and you aren’t pressed to buy - but you will want to! Large variety of balsamic vinegars, and even flavored ones and white wine flavored ones. Staff is FRIENDLY and gracious, even willing to move tastings from end to beginning of the tour. Will be coming back again! We did not come with a tour pre booked because we are here locally and not on a schedule, but I do recommend prebooking a tour if you can.

Free visit, definitely worth it. Recommended to book one or 2 days in advance to check hour availability (they just do few tours per day) Tasting of all products at the end of the tour.

Even if we felt like in an assembly line tourist attraction, the guide was nice and his explanations very interesting. We learnt how balsamic vinegar is made and we got to taste the best products before letting us buy out favourite bottles. The only downside, as I said, we felt the time pressure on our beloved guy's shoulders.

The museum mostly tells the story of the family and their balsamic vinegar. The guided tour was good and explained everything very well. The tastings was the best part - of course! They offer a wide range of balsamic vinegars including DOP.

Our second visit, few years after we did the first, this time we brought with us group of our friends. One of the must-visit places in Emillia Romagna. Lot of history, very well narrated story of Giusti family, and aceito production in Modena, the process of making with all the details and requirements from DOP(POD) standards. When you enter room with barrels, smells like heaven. Great tasting session at the end, with divine products. The whole experience is also fantastic from professional perspective, especially for people doing any kind of sales. This is how the sales of any product should be done.

It was a great experience to know all the history behind the oldest acetaia in the world. The tour guide was very experienced and replied to all the questions our group had. The taste in the end was the grand finale. The smell where the barrels are is incredible and will be cherished in our memories forever. It was quick and easy to book and is free. The best experience you can have in Modena!

It was a very well organized tour, with tasting in the end.. the whole establishment is very neat and modern; and the online booking makes it very easy to participate.. it took more than 1 hrs for the whole tour and it was free; so we would like to thank all the contributors for their effort..

We didn’t make an appointment and just happened to be there when tour was about to start and we were invited to stay. A great choice! The tour was free, short, informative and we got to try about 15-20 different vinegars (all different and delicious!) and learned about the history, story behind this famous and oldest vinegar company. Our tour guide, Eliza is phenomenal.

Wonderful English tour which I 100% enjoyed it! The process of making Basamico, the history, and the nutrition and fun facts were well explained. Of course, there were tasting session at the end, and the staffs there were not force selling. The whole experience was free (not sure if that’s a usual case), so I couldn’t be more satisfied.

This place deserves ten stars. The space is thoughtfully laid out, the family history is interesting - for Americans, just thinking about aging casks so much older than our country is amazing. The tour is free and there is little pressure to purchase but you will want to - reserve your space! I'm so glad we made the trip out from Bologna.

The tour was an amazing experience, the tour guide was very nice, she knew like 5 languages. A lot of history behind this company and the family name. 100% recommended!!

If you’re a lover of food and in the area, this is well worth a visit. With a history dating back to the 17th Century, this tour provides an immersion into a part of Tuscan history. You will learn about the provenance of Giuseppe Giusti, spanning 5 centuries. Our guide took the time to explain the process, certification and rich history, as well as answering our questions in an intimate atmosphere. There is a tasting at the end, and we were very pleasantly surprised about how delicious and complex the Aceto Balsamico produced by this family is. There is a beautifully curated range of product on sale at the end, which is just too tempting to pass by.
