Our first time at hillgrove tap was great. We were able to walk in on a Saturday night around 8pm and be seated right away. Our server Cassie was so knowledgeable and attentive. She helped me decide between two cocktails to start and even shared some insight on her favorites from the menu. I ordered the peach sangria, my boyfriend ordered a zombie dust, then I tried the summer mule and he tried the noon whistle beer. We started out with ordering the fried mozzarella sticks which were perfect. For our entree we decided to split the fish and chips which were also very good. We liked that they were smaller pieces of fish opposed to the huge pieces you see more often. The fries were crispy as well. I forgot to take a picture as we dived in as soon as it arrived at the table. The only input I have would be to add more vegetarian, pescatarian and vegan menu options. It is very meat heavy and being a pescatarian the only options were the usual fish and chips, fish tacos, shrimp pasta and salmon. Overall the food was good, service was great & the drinks were refreshing. We will definitely be back!

I’m always studying late into the evening at the library in the area so there are limited choices on where to eat. This place, which I originally thought was just a standard bar/restaurant, ended up pleasantly surprising me! The staff are warm and friendly, the ambiance is sleek, and the food was absolutely delicious! This is not standard bar food, this food looks and tastes gourmet, as if they are a featured restaurant on Food Network! Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area!

I've gone twice since they opened and the staff and venue is 5++ but food needs a little upgrading. I mainly stuck with appetizers and ordered the mozzarella sticks both times and they weirdly were different since my first visit, different texture and not as tasty either. I also had the nachos which had little meat and have pinto beans, which is interesting just not my style. My son had pulled pork and he loved it though, said the cole slaw topping was a nice touch! Sliders were okay and beer was good too. I saw someone get the poutine which looked good. Again, not terrible by any means but food just needs a little more flavor overall. The venue is top notch and their remodel includes two very nice rooms for private group dinner or small party. Again the service was amazing both times and they place your order right in front of you to keep things moving. The patio is a nice return as well. They are still very new so I look forward to returning and glad they opened up!

This place is a must-go. The ambient atmosphere and modern-deco feel is a new experience for a bar. My dad and I went a bit early to beat the dinner rush, but the place gets real crowded, so reserve ahead! Lots of TVs and the waiters and waitresses are really laid back and nice. Great service and plenty of staff to help out. Now on to the food. Poutine was salty, tangy, and the pork was very tender, complimenting the thick-cut waffle fries well and balancing out the textures. The cheese was gooey and thick enough to choke on, which is a good thing in this case. The full order was enough to sub for a meal, quite filling, and reasonably priced at $14.50. The sausage platter was intriguing. I had never tried two of the three sausages on the plate. One was a typical Polish-style sausage. The others were more interesting: one tasting like a cheese-filled brat and the other being bitter, tangy, and foreign to my taste buds. The sauerkraut was very good and the mustard was a ground variation that I’ve never seen served at a restaurant. Lots of variety, would be a good meal to share amongst friends. The steak sandwich was superb. It was essentially grilled fajitas on a hoagie. The steak was perfectly cooked to a medium and the green peppers and grilled onions were flavorful. The side onion rings were pretty basic, however the chipotle ranch dip was very mild and tasty. The jalapeños had a kick (which I’m not accustomed to), however I suffered through it and came out with a cleansed palate in time for dessert. The dessert was scrumptious. It featured a chocolate milkshake (that tasted identical to mousse) with a tart whipped cream to balance out the sweetness, garnished with cocoa shaving. Right next to it was 5 giant, delicious, melt-in-your-mouth apple cider cinnamons donuts. They were extremely sweet, but were fantastic nonetheless. The caramel dip was a perfect compliment. Best dessert I’ve ever had from a restaurant. I would definitely tap into this spot because it was quite grove-y. And you are definitely going to want to come back for a second trip! We are already planning it.

We been here several times. They are consistent with great service, delicious food, great drinks and friendly atmosphere. Nice place for the whole family. The patio is nice especially when there's live music! Highly recommend!

Celebrated my Boss's 60th birthday and my first time there at Hillgrove Tap in Tinley Park. It's been years since I've had a Cosmo and it was still delicious. I ordered the happy hour wings with Korean sauce and it was probably my least favorite thing out of the night that's why I have taken away 1 star. Wings was very hard and dry. Maybe I'm just not a wings kinda gal. However the Mac and cheese with bacon was absolutely fantastic! The chocolate mousse cake was creamy and Devine. They even brought a sparkler for my boss for her birthday cake. Plenty of seating and a very nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back for sure. Food was pretty good all around. But my favorite has got to be the Mac and cheese and the cake!

I am not certain why this place wasn't packed. Our service was great. She was patient and continued to check on us the entire night. We always had a cold 🍺 and didn't have to look for our waitress. The food was good and fresh. I have had a better burger in other places, so I would definitely order something different the next time. Sit on the patio, they keep it clean and nice!

Nice spot for lunch or a drink. Our server was friendly and the service was quick. The Brat was really good and was served on a fresh pretzel bun with homemade ground brown mustard. They have alot of different options on their menu and tons of beers.

Our waiter was friendly, informative and honest. The food was fast and perfect. The prices were very reasonable and the place was clean. My picture included is the unusual repurposing of old beer tap pulls. If you, you must stop into the restrooms and check out the wallpaper...it's fun too!

The Hillgrove Tap is an EXCELLENT place to host an event where you're having a crowd of possibly 20 - 40 people. Originally I was a bit skeptical about the location and all honesty due to the photos of the size of the room. When I got there, the staff was amazing. You go to a lot of locations to have an event and at times, the staff tend to just "wanna do their job" but at Hillgrove Tap the staff honestly care and that speaks volumes for the ownership and management of the location. The small banquet room has 3 large tvs in it, with an HDMI hub on the wall to connect to a camera or laptop to play videos or a slideshow. Please keep in mind that's "HDMI ONLY" no USB. The food was excellent for an upscale downtown Chicago taste bud. The chicken was perfect. The salmon was delicious and the pasta was also on point. They have several other cuisines to choose from but I simply, keep it simple when it comes to the different foods. If you are planning on hosting a anniversary, birthday, retirement party, etc., please keep in mind you won't be able to bring a huge backdrop. The space simply won't allow for it. I have posted some photos of the event I was at to give you a feel for the banquet room. 5 stars from myself.

We had our engagement party here and could not be more happy with how it turned out! The Hillgrove Tap team was so accommodating, flexible and welcoming. They were always available to answer our questions leading up to the event and let us see the space on multiple occasions so we could plan for set up. They provided tables and tablecloths for a gift and dessert table. The day of the event they were there to help us set up. While we were setting up they even asked what they could get us to drink! During the event they consistently checked in with us. Our server and the manager had such an eye for detail and noticed if our guests or us needed anything. The patio was the most beautiful and enjoyable atmosphere, we got so many compliments! We had more than enough space for our 45 guests on the south side of the patio. We had enough room to set up bags, giant jenga and a backdrop with a balloon arch. The food and service was great. Our guests couldn’t stop eating the sliders! Thanks Hillgrove for making our night such a great experience for us and our guests!

Came here for the first time on a Sunday evening. It was not busy, but according to our waitress, they were slammed over the weekend. I definitely want to come back to try some of their beers since they were out of the ones I wanted to try. I would also personally only ever go back for happy hour. The food was nothing special at all and for two people we paid over $60. It's worth happy hour pricing, but it's definitely not what we paid.
