The food was amazing, the portions were large, and the chef was very entertaining, not to mention an excellent cook. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to experience habachi.

I absolutely loved this place. Went with a big party for my boyfriend graduation celebration. My daughter enjoyed the fire show Soo much! They have the best food ever. I can not wait to visit again and the chef was amazing. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would 🔥✨

It was amazing the Staff was amazing and our Chef Ethan was funny and fun. He made everyone order according to the tee. I'm a vegetarian and he made sure nothing that was meat base touched my food. I had an amazing time. And so did my friends. I added photos of our adventure and I will definitely return. The prices was reasonable for the the quality and portion of food. 😄😁😄😁😄❤❤❤❤

Birthday dinner celebration 🥳everything was great except the Lobster. The Lobster was cut and over cooked.. The Noodles are the best😋. Definitely going back just not having the Lobster!

Used to be really good, went yesterday for my moms birthday and my parents anniversary. Very disappointed. Extra 30.50 charge just to eat there. Also the food didn’t taste as good as it normally does. Highly disappointed. And when they’re serving you the first two served get a lot while everyone else gets small portions. I only got one piece of broccoli and some onions. I paid just like everyone else I should be getting why I paid for not one piece of broccoli. Also I got the smallest amount of noodles. I was told they were going to sing for my moms birthday yet they didn’t. They went to every other table besides ours. It was the worst experience we’ve had and it’s sad to make a review like this when I loved that place and we’d celebrate almost everything there. I hope they go back to providing excellent food and service but this dining experience was a complete disaster. No one enjoyed their time and it’s sad because it was my parents anniversary and my mother’s birthday which they were all aware of. Not to mention we waited 2 hours to be seated and another 35 minutes for us to get a chef!

Overall experience was ok. The restaurant is a little outdated and dark. Not dark in a nice ambiance way, but dark in a kind of gloomy way. The waiter and Hibachi chef were both friendly. We got seated right away. The food was pretty good. We had chicken and steak hibachi (Samurai's choice) $32.95. They give you noodles, 2pc shrimp, mixed vegetables, plain rice soup and scoop of ice cream. There is an upcharge of $2.95 for plain fried and/or chicken fried rice. The chicken and steak were tender. They give free refills on the fountain drinks. The noodles were really good and flavorful. I didn't care for the mixed vegetables. The onions were extremely big. They add a 18% gratuity on the checks for dine-in ( Party of 2). Not a bad place to dine but not a place I would go back and patronize. I should have taken the trip to Kansai Japanese hibachi in Bourbonnais, Il

Delicious food. Chef was fun and had new techniques I have never seen before. Bahama mama was good. They were very busy, of course it was a Saturday and dinner time but they managed. Good variety and some vegan options.

The food is delicious, the proportions are great and it's always fresh. This a great place to take a date or if you just want a great meal. I recommend everyone try it at least once.

Our cook was on point and food was delicious. Be prepared to pay 18% gratuity automatically added to bill because of "covid"

My second round at Hamada. I am not usually into hibachi cuisine, but place is very well run and the chef assigned to us was very attentive and entertaining. We had more than enough food for each course and I really enjoyed engaging with people in and outside of or dinner party. So I didn’t take my usual plate and prep pics. Next I’ll be sure to include them!

Favorite hibachi restaurant in Chicagoland. Ample portions and leftovers, the salmon and shrimp hibachi are great. Good drinks as well

Although the food was good.., what turned my stomach was the bathroom. In the middle of a pandemic, they should have been more cleaner. When we walked in it was disgusting! Makes us wonder about the preparation of the food.

Honestly it’s good. You do get a good amount of food. Only complaint is that the food can seem a little one note.. everything has soy sauce and it gets pretty boring as far as depth of flavor. When I requested the teriyaki on the seafood it was a good decision but had I not asked about it, they wouldn’t have told me. You desperately need a hoisin sauce, sweet soy, oyster sauce etc . Not bad but not the best either

We had a great time on Saturday when we chose this restaurant to eat. We had to wait a while (almost an hour), but it was worth it. Our chef did an amazing job at cooking our food and gave us some good interaction the grill. servers were nice and attentive to us. The restaurant was beautiful and clean. The koifish looked like they were well taken care of in their pond towards the front entrance.

The only that is always an issue is how many people they squeeze at a table. I know they try to be cost effective but sometimes customer comfort should take priority. Other then that, the food is great as always.

As usual a very crowded and busy place! But once you have their food, you see why... But I personally like the sushi rolls! Nice size and fresh!

I went with a group of 5 family members. Everyone in my family loved this restaurant. My sister, who is vegan, was able to find plenty to satisfy her. Food was cooked to perfection. Serving size was more than generous and reasonably priced. The only reason why I gave only 4 stars for the atmosphere was with all those friars. The floor was a little slick with grease. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Our dinner bill was $200 for 5 people. Keep in mind they do add the tip to the bill.

Used to love this restaurant. Upon developing a shellfish allergy, I tried ordering food and asked to have my food prepared away from shellfish and to avoid cross-contamination (as they have done before, and I was fine). I was then informed that they “do not clean the grills or utensils and cross-contamination of shellfish with my food would occur”. I will not be ordering from this restaurant ever. I do not understand how they previously have prepared my food separately to accommodate an allergy and then changed their policy and now cook everything together with no proper safety protocols no matter the circumstance. Very disappointing customer service.

It went down hill! Absolutely horrible. We ordered the Sea of Japan. All the sea food was over cooked and everything was drowned in soy sauce. The lobster pieces were burnt to a crisp. The chicken fried rice had chicken the size of the rice... and it, too was drowned in soy sauce. This used to be our favorite place for hibachi. We will never go back.

My first time visiting this restaurant and I loved it..I had the chicken fried rice with broccoli and shrimp on the side. They give you noodles to start you off. The food was good & you get plenty of it. Yes, I can see myself going back.

It was overcrowded, extreme wait time, my cousin complained that her shrimps were cooked to hard. The manager offered to replace them by cooking more. Because she had eaten some he had her seperate the shrimps that were left on a plate & count how many were left and then counted behind her and only replaced the amount that he counted.

Always a great place to go. Food is great. Some staff members need to be better with time of addressing table. Last employee took a long time to bring starters and I had to go to the front desk for a fork to eat because she took too long to come back about 20 minutes between every appearance except the bill at the end. I tipped but she definitely didn’t do anything to deserve it

The Food was Great, Our Server was Great...Our drinks well it was 4 of us and 3 if the Drinks was awful, and when ask to take them off the Ticket they wouldn't and only wanted to take off 1/2...Well we were Visiting and Yes I thought was Bad for beening our first to this Restaurant, If the Management feel that that was ok, They will never have to worry about me coming Back....

Absolutely my favorite Hibachi around! Their flavors are not comparable to the surrounding hibachis. Also the chefs here are always switching things up, super social and include the whole table

Went there on my own to try the steak. I was seated by myself at a habachi grill table. I asked if I could just order off of the menu without the show and was told that I couldn't since that is where the steak is cooked 😑. I then asked for a sashimi, sushi combination platter with potstickers. The waitress said that I was seated in the wrong section of the restaurant and politely led me to a smaller room where the sushi is made. The sushi and potstickers were made fresh and we're all delicious. The hot sake was good as well. Everyone was very polite and courteous except for the young kids working reception. They barely acknowledge you and are not well mannered. As I was being led to the sushi area, one the kids was walking toward the aisle so I stopped to let her pass, and all she did was stop, waved me to pass and said "go". Other than that, I believe this is a very good restaurant. The management should consider training the reception staff as they are doing the restaurant a disservice.

The experience was great-staff wonderful our hibachi chef really created a fun atmosphere. The restaurant was clean. If you have a group they will not seat your party until everyone is present. The food was good. Price range 30 to 50 bucks per person. Drinks are a tad pricey. Stronger at the bar too.

It's always a great experience when I go here. My little one loves the show that is put on every time. I've always had great service as well. I do wonder where the gratuity goes. A waiter once told me that if the gratuity comes off my card (even when adding more gratuity than the automatic 18%) then it goes to everyone versus my waiter and chef. She told me if I wanted to tip them it's best to do it with cash. There is an automatic charge of 18% gratuity so tipping them separately can run up your bill.

Probably the best hibachi restaurant I've ever had a pleasure of dining with. The food is impeccably seasoned. The noodles are second to none along with the chicken fried rice and the cuts of meats are very well chosen. The only downside is the fact that you will come out of this restaurant smelling like the food you have just eaten and have cooked right before you. If you want a hibachi restaurant you truly cannot go wrong with this place.

This was my first time at this place, and I really enjoyed myself. I'm already planning to go back. It was so much food, we were there around two and I still felt full late in the evening really late.

A was surprised. The parking lot was crowded. Inside I found the pickup area and many people entered the crowded lobby as I was leaving with my order. Never having been to this restaurant before, I was disappointed with the summer order. It was done long before I arrived at the restaurant -- so it was cold. And I could go on.... Lessons learned. Sushi, seaweed and scallop dish.

I actually enjoyed Hamada this visit. The social distancing was appropriate. The chef was entertaining and did a very good job with the meal. No complaints for him. I'm still not crazy about the mandatory 18% gratuity on the meal, regardless if the experience was up to par. That visit was worth it. I just think if it was not good, I would have the option to give what I think is warranted. Regardless I enjoyed my visit and will return again.

The Cook and the food were great! I was unaware that the tip is added if you have a group of six people. The portions are generous, and they are happy to provide to-go containers. The Mai Tai and Blue Hawaiian were okay.

Waited 2 hours and 30 minutes for nothing. The waiter forgot about my table. Didnt bring us forks or napkins. Asked us what dressing and what to drink but didnt bring to the table until someone asked for it from one of the people in the check in area. The guy who cooked in front of us served us our food but no utensils to eat it with. The server who originally took our orders got lost and only came to practically give us the check. It was a horrible experience. First and last time. Wus house is the best hibachi place ever. Maybe Hamada should go and dine over there to taste the quality of the food and the customer experience. The service and food was not good at all at Hamada. Sadly time and money was wasted at this location. Wus house on 95th and Sacramento is where to go when you want to eat amazing food and get the best experience ever!
