BE
AWARE
OF
THE
4pm
CHECK
IN
TIME!!!
Like
most
of
you,
I
have
travelled
using
hotels
worldwide.
I
have
been
fortunate
enough
to
have
NEVER
been
to
a
hotel
as
self
oriented,
rather
than
being
customer
oriented.
Arrived
at
3:30
PM
to
check
in.
Of
course,
my
mistake
as
their
check
in
time
is
4PM
PROMPT!
They
advised
that
no
rooms
were
cleaned
for
guests
yet.
Spoke
with
another
guest
and
they
had
been
waiting
in
the
front
lobby
since
2PM
but
no
rooms
are
available
due
to
cleaning
until
4PM.
So
then
you
ask
why
this
is
a
problem.
Well
unfortunately
I
cannot
post
the
photos
here
of
the
large
line
up
at
4PM
and
4:15PM
and
at
4:30PM,
but
I
was
able
to
get
in
line
and
get
my
room
keys
at
4:48PM,
forty
five
minutes
of
my
life
wasted
as
this
hotel
bottlenecks
its
guests
for
check
in.
While
waiting
to
check
in,
there
were
regular
rounds
of
security
patrols
through
the
lobbies,
something
I
guess
is
required
in
Moncton???
(Tongue
in
cheek
-
or
keep
guests
in
line,
literally!)
While
speaking
with
the
desk
clerks,
I
had
to
speak
around
1/2”
thick
plate
glass,
with
no
sound/speaking
holes,
so
both
myself
and
the
guest
beside
me
had
to
take
turns
bending
down
to
the
document
port
to
converse
with
the
desk
clerks.
Something
I
am
unused
to
is
that
each
room
has
an
automatic
“surcharge”
of
$4.20
that
goes
to
the
housekeepers.
I
have
no
problem
voluntarily
tipping
housemaids,
but
to
subsidize
their
wages
due
to
their
employer’s
shortcomings
is
kind
of
discouraging
to
me
as
a
guest.
The
final
“gift”
from
this
hotel
is
the
2%
surcharge
added
to
your
bill
if
you
don’t
pay
by
cash
or
debit.
Guess
I
missed
the
note
that
they
reduced
their
prices
by
this
2%
when
this
came
into
effect,
rather
than
gobble
up
more
profit.
I
give
the
room
layout,
cleanliness
and
amenities
a
thumbs
up.
Thank
you
housecleaning
people.
Good
job.
In
my
opinion,
this
hotel
is
perfect
for
gamblers
as
the
extra
fees
and
rules
are
of
little
consequence.
Casino
New
Brunswick
Hotel
is
part
of
a
chain,
run
out
of
Toronto,
and
seems
I’ll
suited
for
Atlantic
Canada.
Be
safe
everyone.
Keep
smiling!!!
