Amazing place. Lot of eateries. Some amazing shops like El Palacio Del Cafe, Fini. A good place to relax after shopping at Arenal Grande.

Loved this market...what a treat! There's fresh produce and other food products as well as gifts and loads of eateries. We had some of the best freshly made empanadas we've ever eaten. Most highly recommend!

Must see place in Montevideo! This place doubles as a "mall" like place for tourists, a restaurant row and a fantastic market for organic produce. The architecture is great, respecting the original building and creating an open, but cozy atmosphere. All shops follow a no-big brands policy, and sell local products at very affordable prices. I bought there the best tomatoes I have ever tasted in a very long time.

One of the best local markets I've ever been too, super easy to navigate, everything under one roof and the best BBQ ever, 5 stars for sure, I love Montevideo in Uruguay.

Great and fresh vegetables. They have better prices than some streets vegetables spots ! You also can eat, get cellphone plans or do your mercado. This a place where you can find everything in a safe way.

Typical welcoming market. A touristic place, certainly, but, nonetheless, a cozy place. There one can shop for gifts, wines, sweets (like the Alfajor and Bocadito) and the Uruguay must-have Dulche de Leche. Great place to have a meal as well.

Absolutely love this place. Funny I did not get MAM's name the first time I went. So here it is. Good midday experience with groceries available!

To me, it's an ok market but nothing mind-blowing. I expected it to be bigger and with more variety of products/stands. Warning: I was traveling solo and decided to walk from my hotel (30 min according to Google Maps). However, the suggested route turned out to be pretty sketchy. As a tourist, I would not recommend going by foot.

Very cool local market hall in Montevideo. Visited in the mid morning as things were just starting to open up. It's a mix of nice cafes, hip restaurants, fruit and vegetable sellers, and touristy shops with handmade goods. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the city as a visitor. I think coming a bit later in the afternoon would be a more lively experience but if you don't like crowds the morning is good too. Had an excellent cappuccino and lots of fun exploring the different shops.

A really nice market and place to go try new food, buy your groceries for the day, fruits, vegetables, meat, poultry and so much more. There are mini-markets, a pharmacy, two nice coffee shops, various fast food places, pizza places and a whole bunch of other choices for your lunch or dinner. Is also a nice place to visit for a while, it’s big and spacious. It has a place for kids, however it’s not the best place to bring kids specifically, it’s more of a family plan. The only downside is that it is a noisy place when it’s crowded, acoustics don’t help the space when there too many people talking together.

In Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay, you will find a lovely shopping center that offers a wide variety of products and services. This shopping center includes stores selling groceries and other items. Additionally, it features restaurants where you can enjoy various cuisines while shopping. The atmosphere is friendly and vibrant, making this place ideal for a day of shopping and gastronomic delight.

Very nice market. If you are actually going grocery shopping it has vegetables stalls, butchers, fishmongers, and dry goods. If you are a tourist it also has souvenir kiosks and shops with handmade crafts, as well as a food court. It is a lovely building, but newer than the Mercado del Puerto, but is more shopping that restaurants. There is a small parking lot out front, but you may have to wait a bit for a spot to free up.

Get a taste of local life! I arrived to see Nacional and Peñarol square off and see Nacional score twice to take the lead - alas, they fell yet again to the enemy after we left. Still it's fun to cruise around and enjoy everyone watching the match

This place has a little bit of everything, amazing vegetables and meat, some nicer restaurants, some medium restaurants and some fast food restaurants. I think there's even a supermarket one of the corners and you can buy souvenirs as well. Beautiful architecture.

A really cool market with a lot of restaurants and small stores surrounding it. More modern and cleaner than most markets I've seen in Latin America.

Small shopping mall including one restaurant and a few other shops selling food and other stuff, also. It is worth to appreciate its architecture. Recommended.

Great local to buy at vegetables when rain in Montevideo or you don't buy in a feria. You can eat in various restaurants and the weekend Abitab is open

I have visited the MAM twice ounce 7 years ago and I am very excited about the growth of the business and would recommend it to anyone who is in Montevideo and don't forget to get a Chivito from Chivito Los de Pepe

This converted and modernized antique English Iron Structure fruit & vegetable market, is a marvel to visit. Aside from dozens of gourmet food stores, there are many fine dining establishments to choose from. On weekends, there is live music to entertain patrons, and kiosks, which sell antiques and rare minerals. A great place for the whole family.

Big surprise! I went here expecting it to be a rural-type farmers market, but no, without being huge in size, you'll find a decent food offer, including excellent local meat, fine food stores, and more. Free parking and clean toilets.
