Good so good. I am Chinese, I promise this is 100% authentic. The cumin lamb tasted perfected which is my best experience I ever tried. Not too sweet and the spicy is just hit the point. If you looking for some real good Chinese food, go this play you will ENJOY it!

Mr. Chen’s is a GEM! Service was fantastic, quick and knowledgeable staff. I have been wanting to try Roast Duck for years and was pleasantly surprised when I could find it locally. My oh my, this did not disappoint. I am dreaming of this duck dish!!! Also wonderful to be able to get Boba locally! Everything was outstanding. I love this place!!! Don’t sleep on it!

Mr Chen’s Fantastic! Me and my husband ate here last night on the way home. The local stuff work in the hotel recommended this place to us. Which here so close to Highway I-85. We ordered the Boiled fish filet, Hot oil beef, Braised pork belly and Pork ribs in Black Bean Sauce. All foods are delicious, the young guy work here is friendly and helpful. Good amount of food, worth of spending money here. After eating, we shop in the huge, beautiful, clean, organized grocery store just outside of the restaurant. I can buy lots of interesting items, something I only see it in Asian movie. All the stuff working were helpful too. Great place, worth to spend time come to visit here. Absolutely recommend.

Excellent authentic dishes I've not seen in most Asian restaurants. Mongolian Lamb and the Duck on rice with Chinese cabbage were exceptional. Hot and Sour Soup was delicious! Staff was friendly attentive. And a Chinese grocery!

The market is full of variety, is clean and the staff is friendly and informative. The restaurant is clean, quick to serve with a friendly attitude. The food were large portions and full of flavor. Smiles

Amazing food! Great service! Was pleasantly surprised there was an Asian market as well! This is a hidden gem of a restaurant in Montgomery. My new favorite place to go. They have the famous bubble tea! Try the passion fruit.

Looking for authentic chinese food. Try this location. They also sell chinese BBQ, crispy pork and duck. The restaurant is to the left upon entrance to the store. The thai basil eggplant was served hot and sizzling. The basil leaves were fried and added to the entree. The flavors of each bite filled with garlic, hoisin, and basil. You won't be disappointed.

I ordered cumin lamb..it was delicious..the server was polite and helpful. It was lunchtime but the food was served in a timely manner.. I will be returning soon.

I greatly enjoy both the grocery store and the restaurant. They have items here you can't get any where else in Montgomery. My kids love the sweet treats.

This jewel of a restaurant is hidden in plain sight. At the corner of Atlanta & 231 highways in East Montgomery, Alabama. I have driven by this intersection many times but did not notice Mr. Chen's. I won't make that mistake next time I am here. I had the Cashew Chicken and it was great! There was lots of chicken and cashews as well as mushrooms and zucchini. The sauce was not over powering. It really complimented the other ingredients. The service was efficient and polite. The atmosphere was okay. It needed more decorations but that is a small thing. There is a Chinese grocery connected to the restaurant. It is filled with lots of goodies. Well worth your time to explore.

Food is delicious and priced nicely. The server was very sweet and interacted with our kids, which they loved. Very quiet and relaxing place and very clean. Didn’t get a chance to check out the grocery store but it’s a nice little place to walk around a pick up items for low prices. Great quality produce from what I saw.

Was craving for some duck and I am super glad we found this place. The atmosphere felt very authentic and the food was superb. I highly recommend this place. Will be back to eat here again soon.

Can't even describe the food. Immaculate. Mr. Chen's never disappoints, especially with their food. The fried rice is better than most places in the area, and the meat is always cooked properly with the same consistency. The prices in the store area are fair as well.

The people who work here are all really kind and the food is delicious. I also love shopping in their grocery store. They have a great ramen selection and you can find some hard-to-find gems here as well.

Ate here before and food wasn’t great, my veggies had some sort of goo-maybe that’s how it was supposed to be but I didn’t enjoy it. Their Boba was wayyy too sweet for me. Otherwise, I love the store, they have trinkets and lots of Asian/Ethnic snacks. Also, lots of herbal teas, and grocery items. Staff is always very helpful and friendly.

Not just another Chinese restaurant, this is a full service Asian market that happens to have a restaurant attached. We we able to find items that we used to get in Atlanta. After shopping, we stepped in for lunch. The food was fresh and delicious. You will find the typical Asian entrees along with a few surprises. We'll worth the trip.

About as good as you’ll get considering the area it’s in. General Tso’s chicken was a little bit too sweet but you can tell they cooked it well.

Lots of authentic Chinese dishes as well as typical Americanized Chinese ones. Most were delicious. A few I found not seasoned as well as I've had in Chinatown. But good to have some different options such as whole steamed fish, beef tendons, squid, roast duck, etc. Has an oriental market attached to restaurant with great selection of fresh, packaged and frozen items.

Food was not bad. But the server was not kind at all. There were just a few tables filled around 7 p.m. not busy. But when I asked about Recommended menu, she just pass the menu book. I wanted to make sure that my order was delivered well because I’m a foreigner, but she only said what she wanted to say, saying, "order more later” It was very unpleasant. My kid said “thank you” in Chinese. She didn’t answer. My family was polite from start to finish. FYI, this is my first bad review in google map. I totally understand Everyone can be tired at the end of the day. But the difference of attitude can make a traveler a regular or a passerby. I came here after reading other guests’ reviews and disappointed. I hope your restaurant’s service will be better with my review.

I went to the supermarket and bought lots of items, they gave me a wasted box they don't need instead of regular bags to pack my items. The box isn't very clean plus super inconvenient to lift and I don't even have space to leave it. I wish they feel about customers and treat them equally. But their food is good.
