Another
first
for
my
month-long
stay
in
The
Gump.
The
portions
are
sufficient
and
everything
tasted
as
if
made
with
fresh
ingredients.
The
home
fries
were
the
stars
of
the
show
and
I
recommend
offering
a
Cajun
Omelette...
Western
with
the
stew-textured
Gumbo
spooned
over...
good
coffee
and
orange
juice.
We
waited
more
than
we
ate
though.
Waited
for
menus
(eventually
taken
from
other
tables),
waited
for
coffee
creamer
(asked
twice,
got
some
from
other
tables),
waited
for
silverware
(coffee
cooled),
waited
for
food
(to
be
fair,
they
were
at
about
75%),
waited
for
toast
(never
came),
waited
for
coffee
refills
(caught
another
server,
meal
almost
finished),
waited
to
see
if
we
would
be
offered
any
dessert
or
anything
else
(it
is
a
bakery),
waited
for
a
to-go
box
(asked
twice,
got
it
myself).
The
check
was
dropped
off
with
the
food...
no
wait...
and
that
was
our
server's
last
stop.
Having
interacted
with
all
three,
wait
staff
is
very
nice
and
reasonably
responsive
but
appear
a
bit
forgetful.
Energetic
and
efficient
service
would
make
this
place
great.
All
said,
we
did
have
plenty
time
to
chat
and
food
was
good,
but
service
was
an
uninspiring
drag
on
the
experience.
