First time here and it was a pleasant experience. Our server was kind, welcoming and provided helpful information regarding the menu. They specialize in lamb so my partner and I ordered the lamb chops. They were extremely fragrant, flavourful and cooked perfectly. The vegetables that came with it were a little underwhelming. Although the lamb chops were delicious, I honestly preferred the entrees: fried calamari, escargots and bone marrow. Overall, worth a try! The cozy-intimate ambiance is a plus.

Great dinner+music spot in Old Montreal. They’re forte is lamb, and it is cooked to perfection. They’re bone marrow is also quite flavourful. The atmosphere is pleasant as well, but if you do want to catch the Jazz performance make sure to book the upstairs and at the specified show time.

The service was fantastic, thank you Tyler for taking wonderful care of our family dinner. The food was great but the atmosphere with various live music performances are what makes this place great. The French onion soup is divine and the lamb chops are WOW! My only critiques: the seafood linguine needed some additional seasonings and flavour as did the sides on the chops. But we would go back again and again for the soup alone!

We came to MODAVIE for brunch. We were a large group so, we reserved a table. From the moment we arrived, the staff were very friendly and professional. We ordered hot drinks, cocktails and a full course of dishes. The food was delicious and the cocktails were great! There was a live jazz band playing so, we couldn’t really ask for more.

Spent our 7 year anniversary here tonight for dinner and we could not have been more pleased. We’re visiting from Toronto and don’t know much French, but the staff are fluent in English and there’s an English version of the menu so that wasn’t an issue at all. The food, ambiance, service and music were all perfect! I’ll be recommending this place to anyone and everyone. If there’s a long wait, it’s for a reason, and it’s definitely worth the wait. We’re so happy that we decided to eat here tonight. What an incredible evening that we’ll never forget. Thank you Modavie!

We ordered salmon with lime caviar, it didn't come with any. The waiter had no idea it was supposed to come with some. He did proactively offer to reduce the bill. He said they don't have caviar anymore but didn't change the menu. We ordered lamb Benedict, lamb was just okay, hollandaise sauce was separated. My partner got lots of egg shells in hers. The waiter was good, he ensured they would make another. By that time our meal was done so we took it home. We appreciate the effort of the waiter. He tried to maintain a sense of humor which was nice. It was just okay, at a place that drags about the Benedict. It certainly wasn't worth the price. I feel like a lot of the pics and positive reviews were from a long time ago.

Lorenzo is a star! He was so kind and accommodating with everything we needed. From truly welcome our service dog to the best cappuccino, the wonderful staff and servers. They changed out a dish that was great but not to our taste and comped the last cappuccino to our surprise! Overall great good, great service and the kindest experience from our travel to Montreal over the years!

Incredible atmosphere with warm, welcoming lighting and a lovely jazz trio playing in the corner. Out waiter was helpful, attentive, and funny. We really enjoyed the bread and half melted butter they served some we waited for our main dishes. The mushroom risotto was earthy and savory. The pine nuts added a nice texture as well. However, I did find the dish a little too cheesy and heavy. Overall, this was an immersive dining experience with great food and an incredible atmosphere

We came in on a Friday evening and were seated right away. Overall the food was good. Best dish was the lamb. Would not recommend the duck confit though - it's pretty bland and not tender. My parents had it a few months before and also echoed this sentiment. My only issue with this place was that the servers did not make it clear that sauces to go with the fries in our steak tartar dish were additional charges. The way the waitress asked us what sauce we wanted was sneaky- she asked if we wanted the paprika or truffle sauce or both. I assume that sauces are usually I included with the dish and didn't think too much to ask for both. In the end the sauces themselves were not expensive but the way it was added into the bill left a bad taste in my mouth. I mentioned this to the server but did not push further, but thinking back I should have.

The food was really good, we came for dinner in the evening, we didn’t make a reservation however they were able to accommodate us straight away without any wait. We had the Basque chicken and substituted the sarladaise potatoes for mash potatoes, that was a great, the flavour came through and was lovely, we also had the rack of lamb and that was flavourful especially with the seasonal vegetables. I ordered a beer and the beer took longer to come than our food, service was a bit slow in the evening. Overall a good experience and would recommend others to try the restaurant.

As a highly rated restaurant I was extremely excited. At first the service and staff were extremely nice and accommodating. They seated us right on time and got us set up in a great place near the live music. Food came out at a good pace. Portions were generous and presentation was very nice. Taste was good and I use that as my disappointment. Almost none of my dishes wowed me. The steak and lamb were not tender and or as juicy as they could have been. The risotto didn’t have the punch I was looking for and I could go on. For that I struggle between a 3-4 star. The food was average. The service was excellent. Live music was very good.

Went for lunch, and it was a great experience. Good food and great service. There was a singer when we were there. The ambiance was great. Had the lamb benedict. It was my first time trying one, it was good but it came with no sides, but just on bread. A bit expensive, but everyone loved their meal.

We stopped in for a glass of wine one lunch time and just had to come back. Lorenzo was an amazing host during that visit. We came back for dinner a few days later and were certainly glad we did. Lorenzo was not working, but Patrice did not disappoint. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. Good wine, good food, good company and a fantastic venue. It could not have been a better evening. The value here is outstanding compared to other places we ate in Montreal. I highly recommend.

What an amazing experience! From the atmosphere to the service provided by our waiter George and the food was amazing: the drinks were perfect, we had a delicious onion soup as an appetizer and rack of lamb as a main dish and it was fantastic, the desserts (creme brûlée and apple pie) so tasty! Best night ever.

Fantastic live music. One of the reasons we decided to come out here. Ambiance is historic and feels like old Europe, it's charming and pretty romantic. Dishes were well presented, promptly served but the entrees were just okay. It was a set menu with good choices but the portions were a little too small and one salad wasn’t anything special. The prices were reasonable given that there was live entertainment included. It’s a great place to enjoy an evening with friends.

My wife and I had a great dining experience here. Even though we made our dinner reservation late in the afternoon, they were still able to accommodate us for the evening — and even gave us a window seat in the second floor where one of the live musical entertainment was. Lamb was their specialty and one of my favourite mains, so I went for the lamb chops. They were grilled to perfection and plated on top of potatoes, carrots, asparagus, broccoli and cauliflower. Highly recommended.

Overall decent food. Very large portion for the ratatouille, but was a touch too sweet for my liking. Breakfast poutine serving is quite small. The place has a dim atmosphere, as the interior is mainly dark wood. It’s a bit dark if you’re looking for a bright spot for brunch.

Lorenzo was there to greet us at the door with laughs and smiles. From that point on, everything just got better. The restaurant was clean, stylish, and well put together. The service was on point, an the food was flawless! If you're looking for a spot in Old Montreal for a great meal, look no further than Modavie!

The vibes here were amazing, super elegant yet homey and cozy. Everyday they have an accompaniment for music and the day we went had jazz playing while we were eating. The apps (escargot and soup) were 🤌- both were not your standard snails or french onion soup. The soup had an extremely rich flavour shine through that came from the deep caramelization of the onions. The accompanying garlic butter and cheese that was paired with the escargot was salty which was good. Onto the mains, the table favourite was the duck confit. The duck was so tender and when paired with the sweetness of the walnuts and the acid from the pickled cabbage, it made a wonderful bite. The lamb chops were great as well, the meat was cooked to our liking. We do wish there was a sauce to accompany the lamb, perhaps a sweet red wine sauce to cut through the saltiness of the veggies and enhance the lamb taste. As an aside, the potatoes were delicious LOL. The lamb pasta was amazing as well, flavour-wise. We wish there would have been more lamb in the pasta as the portion of meat felt lacklustre. The pasta was perfectly cooked and held onto the sauce very well. Lastly, the drinks were delicious- perfectly balanced between sweet and tangy. The service here was phenomenal, they consistently checked up on us and made sure we were well taken care of. Overall, the restaurant was a great experience in MTL, a good place to go to if you’re in the area and are looking for a more expensive dinner.

It’s not tourist trap! Food is amazing, the vibe is great! I’m local here and I’ll definitely go back again. One suggestion is to make sure you make reservation otherwise you might end up not having table during the peak time like dinner time.

The rack of lamb was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone going here. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The waiter was kind enough to heed our odd request to split the bill across 4 credit cards. I never felt like we were waiting for the staff. They just magically appeared the moment we were just thinking about needing them. Not intrusive, excellent timing.

Really nice place, the food was amazing, we ordered the escargots, the mushroom risotto and the filet mignon. Georges was our waiter and he was really thoughtful and delivered great service. The live music was a great touch, we got to experience two jazz musicians and it just brought everything together.

Set aside and the newly built patio. The vibe was great. The service was excellent. Such a nice spot to grab a beer. However, the food was just so so. The brunch option seemed really interesting like the duck patina, the duck croque monsieur. But the duck was over cook dry and tough and the flavors just weren’t there.

The host was exceptional! Just walking in was an experience in itself. Lorenzo was awesome. The server Renaud was on point. Fast, friendly, and helpful! Definitely a higher priced restaurant, that being said was worth it! The drinks were made very well from the bar staff. The food was absolutely spectacular! By far one of the best meals I've ever had. This paired with an unforgettable atmosphere made this meal perfect! Would definitely recommend!!

The restaurant didn't stand up to the expectations. I ordered the basque chicken from the lunch menu today and it was dry & flavorless. The mojito was warm initially. The service made me feel the same way as the food - expressionless & curt. On the other hand, it was in a great location and had a fairly enjoyable atmosphere. Overall 3/5.

One of the best restaurants I've been in Montreal. Waitress was super friendly and polite, she recommended 2 drinks and they were perfect. I had the mushrooms risotto, it was delicious. The decoration and the songs are awesome, it is definitely a good place to gather with friends and family!

This was our second visit to this restaurant and the second time was even better than the first. This restaurant is simply AMAZING! The service is top notch with a Parisian flare (the waiters both times were from France). The food and drinks were spectacular. Special shout out to Julean and Lorenzo who made our visit unforgettable. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

We had duck confit and lamb chops. The food was delicious. The ambience was great and the staff was very welcoming. Our server was attentive and even gave us suggestions on good authentic French patisseries around. Also it's on Rue St. Paul at a great location . Highly highly recommended.

We didn’t have the chance to get a table for dinner at this restaurant as it was always booked, we finally went there for a lunch w/o live music to try the food at least. For appetizers we ordered cream of broccoli soup and calamari. Soup was smooth and very warm and calamari was crispy and tasty. For main plate, chicken basquaise was unbelievably delicious and well flavoured! And lamb burger was super juicy and also came with a huge portion of home made fries. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

We arrived on thursday after a long drive from US to enjoy New Year's eve. In Old Port, we were looking for a nice venue with warm ambiance (the live music was a great plus). We ordered multiple appetizers (large sizes) and they were all yummy, food + desserts = flawless. The wine menu is extensive w/glass or bottle options, my husband ordered 2 glasses of wine and he got charged for 4 glasses, we asked the why to our waitress, and he said bc he pour more than the regular size (but we didn't ask for or, not even aware us for that), that was a weird thing from the server, not transparent in what he was doing it. To have a bottle could have been a better deal. I cant take away the excellent star for the food concept.

A friend recommended I visit Modavie for dinner. The restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere and the servers went above and beyond. The food was cooked to perfection. Their wine menu was extensive with many great options. The experience was elevated with a live jazz performance. I would strongly recommend visiting Modavie.

We dined here on January 19 and everything was phenomenal! Our server, the head server, was very personable, interactive and all around amazing! The cocktails were perfect and balanced, and all the food left us wanting to come back for more. The next time we are in Montreal, it will be a must to dine here. Many thanks for such a wonderful meal experience!

This restaurant is simply amazing, from being greeted at the door by Lorenzo, to the incredible service that followed, to the fabulous food that was served. The food was truly magnificent, it was tasty and the presentation was superb. The atmosphere was fantastic and the attention to detail flawless. Highly recommended and when we come back to Montreal, we will definitely go again.

I came here with my friend and had an amazing experience! The service was amazing and great atmosphere. We ordered the onion soup, garlic snails, foie gras, and seafood pasta. Awesome food and attentive service. Every dish was made well, the only dish that was disappointing is the snails. They were small and did not taste fresh.

Escargots were great, lamb chops were amazing! I would have liked to see more interesting options, I can’t say they have an adventurous menu. However, they have an extensive wine menu so if you’re looking for wine and lamb, I’d recommend.

Had a lovely time at Modavie! I wanted to sit inside to experience the music but sadly hadn’t booked a reservation, so we settled for a table outside which was just as lovely! Our waitress was very attentive and super kind and knowledgeable in the food. I ordered the Lamb Chops and they were excellent and paired with a gamache wine! My mom ordered the steak and fries and it was so flavorful and tender. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

  • 4/5 S L. 7 months ago on Google
Live music and great food! We ordered rack of lamb and braised lamb pasta. Rack of lamb was tender and I LOVED roasted vegetables that comes with it. I personally thought there were too much mint flavor on the lamb. To me, it was over powering, and it felt too refreshing to remind me a tooth paste. It might be depending on your tasting palate and sensitivities though. Pasta was okay- didn't find much of braised lamb meat, but the flavor was great. I wish I was able to get some pepper though. The server did not stop by until I ate quarter of it.

I went to this restaurant several times and mostly for dinner, today I had the lunch over there and it was also great! Great service, nice food, cool jazzy environment. We had few times our birthday in this restaurant and it is fantastic! Caring staff, nice jazz music, and delicious meal! Highly recommended!

Semi formal environment; great occasion for anyone from dates, hangs, or just a beer. Food met the expectations and prepared a near perfect steak. The strip loin was slightly undercooked in some spots and a touch too much pepper, but didn’t take away from the overall positive taste. Drinks were generous and flavorful. Our server put his best foot forward and successfully assisted us with recommendations with minimal knowledge of our preferences. His presence was not overbearing and not absent. I did think the music was a touch loud for my taste. Although we were in the room of the live music.

The food was great but I don’t enjoy the dinner very much as the service was not good as expected. We had an early dinner at 5pm. While we were having starter, the female server came a few time to refill the water to check whether we finished the dishes, we don’t understand why so rush while there’s empty tables around. While my husband was paying the bill with the machine, I could see she stand behind him and keep staring at the machine to check what the tip was. We are tourists and that’s was our last meal in Montreal. Honestly feel uncomfortable to be served by her.

I love that this place, has live jazz! The food was delicious. I got the escargot with cheese, the cheese part was recommended by my server, and he was so right! So so delicious! I then went with his recommendation of the rack of lamb as it is the house specialty and he explained how the lamb is raised in Quebec near salt water. It was amazing and cooked at the right temperature. Highly recommend this place. Nice vibe and good food. The only thing I do not recommend is the crème brûlée.

  • 5/5 Connor P. 5 months ago on Google
A wonderful experience! The service was prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous. The food was exceptional. The two of us shared the fried octopus and Caesar salad, then each had filet mignon and lamb chop respectively for our main course. Finished it off with the profiterole dessert. While we ate, a lovely jazz trio played in the background to top off the night!

There is always a line up in front of Modavie and people looking disappointed leaving early from Modavie for a good reason -- they are really good with their food and the dining experience is superb! We visited here on our trip to Montreal. Of course, we could not get a table on the first night so we made a reservation for next evening to be sure to get a table. We tried their Rack of Lamb, Lamb Chops, Beef Tartare, Beef Bone Marrow, and Salmon Tartare. Every dish was meticulously prepared with French perfection. The taste was great without being too spicy or salty. The lamb was prepared in a very tender fashion with just enough spices to rid the gamy flavour of the lamb. Our waiter Jan guided us through making all the right choices and was very attentive throughout the evening. It was the highlight of our visit to Montreal for sure! We highly recommend Modavie for your Montreal dining experience but be sure to make a reservation.

Saturday night in Montreal in the Old Port area is busy. Had a group of eight of us and when we saw the restaurant was packed we were worried. We had a reservation, however I marvelled at how efficient the servers were. Water, wine order, bread and food all delivered promptly. This restaurant also had live Jazz performance on the weekend which added to the ambience. Food was delicious and experience was worth the investment . Highly recommend this restaurant.

An exquisite experience located in the heart of Montreal. The service was professional, the atmosphere was chic, and the food was delicious. The upstairs tables/atmosphere is significantly cozier and romantic, especially with live music. I ordered the salmon, which was cooked perfectly. Another guest in my party ordered the beef tartar, which was again delicious. A perfect night out in a restaurant that transports you to France. Loved it!

No trip to Montreal would be complete without a phenomenal experience at Modavie! I will be returning to Modavie every time I come to Montreal. The food, atmosphere and staff were incredible, irreplaceable and provided such a lovely atmosphere for any meal. We had the unique pleasure of coming on a weekend and enjoyed truly charming live music (don't miss out on making that reservation). The experience wouldn't be the same without their amazing host, Lorenzo! We walked around Montreal for the rest of the trip thinking about Lorenzo and grateful for his unwavering hospitality (and phenomenal dance moves). He went above and beyond to create an experience we would never forget. We thought we were just grabbing a quick brunch, but left Montreal with our most coveted memory from the trip. I would recommend Modavie to any of my family or friends with complete confidence! - Kyle & Katie

This was my first time at Modavie and cannot wait to come back! We went to celebrate our anniversary and were welcomed by Lorenzo right away. He made sure we had a great seat by the live music and feel so special during our time. The food was ABSOLUTELY amazing and so was the staff. I cannot say enough good things about our time here and the staff. If there is one place you are going to visit in old Montreal you must put this on your list! I cannot wait to go back to Lorenzo and his amazing staff, truly was the best experience we could have asked for!

Alonzo was very accommodating to our needs when we were running a bit behind this past Sunday. We were seated in a wonderful spot by the window and enjoyed the live music while we had the garlic snails and cheese board. The lamb and ratatouille were divine, along with the service and hospitality that was provided that evening. The interiors and atmosphere are fun, inviting, and very authentic. I can't wait to come back

Great food and services. Lorenzo is the guy who checked us in. This restaurant is located right in the restaurant roll in old Montreal. With live music for lunch, the positive vibe here was overwhelming. With good French food, we had a good time for lunch. We just love everything French. What’s French meal without French onion soup? We had the French pinion soup to start our meal. The soup was amazing. It was just like the ones I had at Montmartre in Paris. Another of our favorite French foods is moules frites. The portion here was very generous and the wines sauce was to die for. Fries were ok but not very crispy. We also ordered a Lamb shank which the waiter claimed to be the special of the restaurant. It was very good with lamb meat been very well cooked with tender and tasty meat. It was a good French meal we had at Modavie. A good choice restaurant in the old Montreal section.

Although I've walked by it many times over the years, it was the first time eating at Bistro Modavie in Old Montreal. The streets were busy that night - almost like old times - even without the tourists that usually pack this area, but the timing worked out and we were able to get a table for two without reservations. Food and service was excellent. Not only that, but there was live entertainment, with a great guitarist who sang popular songs that added to the delightful, relaxing vibe. Will definitely go back:)

One of our best evenings in Montreal!! The owner, Lorenzo, charmed us immediately. This spot is known to have the best french onion soup in the city and I believe it! My mushroom risotto was creamy and delicious. But the best part - the singer Sam Orsini. We intended to stay only for a quick dinner but ended up enjoying drinks here for the rest of his act, it was that good!

Really nice restaurant with good selections. Their specialty is lamb and they did not disappoint. The lamb pappardelle and shank were both fantastic. The escargot was good, and the creme brulee was perfect. Not too sweet and the custard cream was soft and smooth. They have live music performances playing good covers of some oldies. Worth a visit. Make a reservation if you can.

Just ventured back to Montréal for the first time in two years. I once lived in Montréal and now reside in Florida. I would never miss the opportunity to dine at Modavie in the Old Port. The host Lorenzo Baldassarre greets all guests and makes you feel like you’re coming home to dinner. The mussels and escargot are extraordinary. I highly recommend any of the lamb selections. I enjoyed the shredded lamb over pene. The staff has full knowledge of the food and wine selections. And there is always a gentle singer performing live in the main dining room. Thank you Lorenzo for keeping your high standards. And despite the mask your cheery spirit came shining through.

Excellent Food and services. Fair price. Two of us dinner without drink come out $100. We had Bone marrow starter is very unique serve with bones. Braised Lamb and risotto. Tips: love jazz music start around 7, so try book around that time.

Absolutely delicious. Being plant based I was hoping that one of the only plant based meals would be good. But it wasn’t good it was divine! Warmed me up right to the soul. My husband loved the duck. It looked so tender and delicious with lots of flavour. Lovely music and ambience. Victoria and Lorenzo took good care of us. Excellent service!

What a great evening. From the moment we entered the door you could tell it was going to be a special meal. Lorenzo had us feeling so comfortable and eager to start enjoying ourselves. The atmosphere has that old feeling that Montreal is full of but it doesn't compare with the fantastic food and the eager to please staff. Don't miss out on the live music. Just wish we were closer so it wouldn't take a days drive to experience this gem of a restaurant again.

(Sorry for the photos with half eaten food, I was so excited to eat!) Went here in early October, I really loved the food and the service here. I first had the French onion soup here which was excellent, and the best I'd ever had. For the main, it was my first time having risotto so I don't have anything to compare it to, however, I found it to be super well seasoned, and I couldn't get enough, but as it is rice, I did get full rather quickly. Large portions, not to mention! I also loved the creme brulee, also having it for the first time where it wasn't from a jar that I bought from the store! I really enjoyed how comfortable and warm the ambiance was. Staff was great and courteous, and obviously the location is nice as well. Excited to come back once again!

Had a great time at Modavie on a Sunday evening. There was live music and the service was very friendly! Had a delicious French Chardonnay, escargot and for our mains salmon and octopus pasta both very delicious. Would definitely recommend to check it out as they have live entertainment daily, there’s also an area with no music if you prefer that 😉

We visited this place during lunch time and they only allowed indoor seating. Staffs were friendly and accommodating and also helpful during selection of our orders. We decided to try their onion soup which was savory with a little bit of sweetness coming from the onions and garlic snails which was flavorful and yummy as our appetizers. Lamb chops and beef tartare as our mains, lamb chops were tasty and tender and it comes with a veggies so i definitely recommend this one; Not a fan of the beef tartare, i only tried that due to high recommendations based on the reviews 😅 it's fresh, buttery and tender but i guess it's not for me and it needs more acidic punch (for me). We also ordered cocktails, 1 sangria rose and forgot the other 1 😅 Place was not crowded during lunch time and indeed has an amazing atmosphere.

On our trip to Montreal, we went to this topnotch french restaurant to have our first experience with real french cuisine! We booked our table for 8.15 p.m, however due to some changes in our plan, we were there earlier and asked them if they could let us in one hour earlier! Kind Lorenzo warmly welcomed us gave us a beautiful table to sit and enjoy the restaurant vibe. We were so pleased with this gesture as we were super hungry! For the starter, I ordered a classic Ratatouille, I really enjoyed the taste, simple but appetizing! For the main course we ordered Braised lamb Shank and Steak Frites. As we are meat lovers we have had many different steaks and lambs before and to be honest this was one the amazing steaks and lamb shanks we ever had! Juicy, loaded with flavor and so tender!!! The only problem was that the portions were a little bit small which is something related to French dishes. For dessert, we had a hot brownie with icecream on the top!! I don't wanna brag about it!!! But it tasted like heaven!!! So soft!!! Just melted in my mouth!! All in all, our first night in beautiful Montreal ended perfectly in this amazing French restaurant!! Thank you Lorenzo for your hospitality and thanks Modavie for giving us a super luxury experience of a French cuisine.

Great experience, nice ambience with live music. Our server was very nice and professional. We ordered the bone marrow, mushroom risotto and the mussels. All delicious. The wait time was quite long. But having in mind it was the F1 weekend, I’d imagine normal weeks would be better.

Amazing food! I got the braised lamb papardelle, and the person I was with got the fillet mignon. Both dishes were absolutely incredible. The meat in both dishes just melted in your mouth in a way that you only get with the best quality of meat cooked by the highest quality chefs. The service was also exemplary. Would highly recommend to anyone in or near Montreal.

Great service and delicious food! We loved the live music as well. My partner loved the lamb chops while my favourite was the salmon. Definitely worth the visit for authentic French cuisine 😊

Came here for the first time last month (October) and had a pleasant experience. The restaurant has a very cozy and vintage feel to it, which is nice. It also offers a live jazz band on the other side of the restaurant which was really cool! The service was fast and the staff were friendly. The garlic snails were scrumptious (highly recommend)!! The pastas were good but the fried calamari was okay. It wasn’t the best. This is a nice place for dinner with friends or date night.

Great ambiance with dim lighting and live music! The restaurant is quite large but feels cozy with the candles and decoration. The food is pretty French classic but has solid variety. The highlights were the french onion soup and steak frites, both were which the best I’ve ever had. The mushroom risotto was incredibly bland and I was told that the rack of lamb is not worth the price. They definitively don’t skimp out on alcohol in their mixed drinks! Overall had a lovely time listening to the musicians that they had on Monday night. Would come back!

We got the lamb and escargot. Both were wonderful. Definitely get the lamb whilst here, it’s generally hard to come by good lamb in Canada.

The staff members were very friendly, and recommended us the lamb dishes. We got the lamb chops and they were in fact amazing! Would highly recommend trying the other lamb dishes as well. Duck confit was also delicious. Most dishes came with grilled potatoes, and they were cooked to perfection. I would recommend paring the food with their wine selection too.

Food was amazing! I encourage you to try their lamb chops and steak and fried with the truffle aioli. The foie gras was perfection. Their freshly baked bread and home made butter was delicious. Make sure to do a reservation if you are coming during peak dinner hour as it goes get very busy. The staff was so friendly and the service was great. Highly recommend!

We booked our table with OpenTable. The seating was limited to 2 hours only. We ordered onion soups and garlic snails as appetizers. The onion soup was thick and had a lot of cheese on top. A lot of butter was served with the snails and they were yummy. The duck confit was over salted. The medium rare cooked steak was chewy in the steak and fries. The lamp chop was cooked well but a bit too much oil. The desserts were good. Service was alright. There was a live band singing jazz music. The bathroom was slippery. Overall, this restaurant was a bit overpriced.

Great service and ambience. The food is yummy. I really liked the escargots and the duck. The bone marrow was an experience. For me, adding lime helped as the texture was very novel. Two hours max dining time. Parking is pretty scarce; def pay for street parking bc patrol do monitor and give out pink slips even on a Monday.

I am a little late for this review, but better late than never: We hosted our family Christmas party here and it was by far the BEST Christmas EVER!!!! Everything was set to please. Food was decent, venue was nice, atmosphere was AMAZING, the music was festive, the price was honest and the service was absolutely exceptional! We had such a wonderful and memorable Christmas! THANK YOU! I highly recommend this restaurant for your Christmas parties!

A restaurant located close to the Old Port. It fills up quickly with people, allowing for a lively dining atmosphere. While the portion sizes aren't particularly large for the price, the overall quality of the food is satisfying. The service quality is also commendable.

We were recommended to go here by our hotel because we wanted to listen to live music. We were far from disappointed. We came for brunch and Lorenzo made us feel at home the moment we arrived and the music really set the tone. To top it off the food is delicious and we couldn’t wait to come back to try dinner. We came back again that evening and we were served by George who created a seamless experience for us and our two young kids. We appreciated his wine suggestions and once again the food was so delicious. This restaurant really was the highlight of our trip, if you’re looking for a cool vibe with live music, delicious food & great staff this is your place ! Nicole
