Feels like a 1or 2 star room. Entrance to the hotel and facade is very impressive though > Room is small, with a view of a roof not of Montreal. Fridge which we cannot open or we will be charged for using it... ( bottle of water is $9). Bath and shower is so small... water splashes over the entire floor. Hotel parking is full and have to park at a neighbouring parking lot with some distance to walk to hotel. I have stayed at various hotels in Montreal, and for less money you get much better rooms , views and service elsewhere. I guess here you pay for the name and supposed reputation of the brand.

My stay was fabulous! Elijah was such a great help the week that I was there. He provided a warm welcome and check-in and was my go to for the week along with Juliette at concierge. Juliette gave me fabulous recommendations for places to get my nails done and amazing brunch places. Elijah recommended fantastic restaurants in the hotel and close proximity. They both even went above and beyond to make reservations and call in advance to make sure I would be accommodated. The bars in the hotel are fabulous rooms were clean, and the hotel is easy to navigate. It is very conveniently located above the underground connections to the mall and the train. I would give this place 6*s if I could. Valet was wonderful and the bellhop whose name I regrettably don't remember was so kind. Andree at front desk ran some bottles of water to me personally when the mini bar was stuck. The staff was overall kind and approachable. I will be back as well as recommend this hotel to others.

Recently stayed here for 8 days. An absolute star of a hotel from the fabric of the hotel to its most important aspect " it's staff" who were fantastic and too many great staff to name them all !! We stayed to celebrate a special occasion and could not find fault with this hotel they were superb. To the hotel manager please note- from the housekeeping staff to the valet staff at the front door please be proud of these guys as they are great !!! Our first visit and certainly not our last thanks folks you were out of this world !!

The hotel is nice and it was a good experience. You can go from your floor to the train station just by the elevator directly as the station is in the bottom of the hotel which is great! They offer nice lounge with breakfast, evening tea and then dessert. So 3 trips to the lounge. Their each staff member is very friendly and helpful. The location is amazing of this hotel as you can walk to the all shopping malls. The light theme of this hotel is very dark including rooms. If you like normal/bright light theme then this hotel might not work for some people. Thanks for reading.

I'm a big fan of Fairmont properties but some are better than others. I stayed at this property for a single night on my way through Montreal and I was not disappointed. I checked in late and was warmly greeted at the desk. My room was ready and the climate control was at a reasonable temperature to sleep. This has been a problem at many hotels where the a/c is turned off on arrival and getting in at 11pm with the room at 27 C is off-putting. The restaurant is very nice and the building as a whole as well as at least the room I stayed in have been recently renovated. I highly recommend this property and look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful hotel. Nice rooms. Housekeeping is awesome. Even when I did not need my room cleaned, Deanne did small things to make my stay more comfortable and she was very pleasant to talk with. I was there during a conference so the elevators were very slow. I also had a hard time getting my room to cool off. It was much too warm.

Don't forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a resort. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and normally will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This place is one of my favorites in this area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you won't regret it. We had an amazing experience at the Queen. We took the Golden experience and the staff was so nice on the 21st floor. The breakfast and cocktails around 17h was also great. Room we're very clean and comfortable. Only problem for us was the amount of kids in the pool, i wish they had a 18+ area for us to relax.

Booked a room here through an agent and got a pretty sweet deal including food credit and daily breakfast, which were good value! Rooms are comfortable although you do have to request for certain amenities since they don’t auto provide everything. Location is great, especially if you’re looking to tour the city! I did find it weird that I had to pay for luggage storage given the premium cost of the rooms, as well as tax for my complimentary breakfast - they come across as hidden fees which are never good practice.

To start , I am a Diamond member which says pretty much that I have been a loyal guest for Fairmont. It actually says that I am one of their VIP guest.. let me say .. of all the Fairmont hotels I stayed at.. this is the worst!! I have tried to speak to the manager a couple of times.. but the management team have been avoiding me, even when I tried to ask him at the front desk. The response has always been.. He is currently in a meeting and will call you.. Rest assured.. they won’t call you but send you an email in the middle of the night and say.. apologies for the delay but It is late so I decided to send you an email. As I am writing this.. the Manager is still avoiding to speak to me and pretty much does not care what my concerns were, so I sent him pictures and videos just to let him know but I am pretty sure it is straight to Garbage.. Issues I had with this hotel.. 1. Unfriendly staff 2. Cleanliness : we checked in late around 10:00 pm. One of the rooms we stayed in.. has remnants (poop marks) around the toilet bowl of the last person that stayed in the room. 3. Service request: multiple times I have asked for the lighting in the room , I keep getting the answer that It will be addressed. False promises as it was never addressed (I stayed in the hotel for a whole week - No resolution) 4. valet parking: (previous stay) parked underground only to see splashes of rust from pipes in the basement parking from my last stay (advised the parking person to make sure to check first if there’s drip from the pipes above the spot before parking, gladly this did not happen with my recent stay). Overall, management at this hotel does not care about their guests.

Check-in took 25 minutes, I understand that all hotels are short on staff but if you can't deliver the service the customer are paying for, you should reduce your price. Had to call back after a few days to get the invoice that was supposed to be email to me. Had to call them back again to have extra charges remove from my invoice... Clean rooms, nice location, nice people but overall the quality of service is the one expected from a hotel half that price.

Good not great. We had an upgraded room to a junior suite. Initial room with two double beds was tiny. Upgraded room the bathroom was still tight. Pool was great, nice temperature. Small hot tub. Buffet at Roselys is a good value with good quality food if you go with buffet option. Location of hotel great.

Originally had a one night reservation. We extended for another night because the hotel and room were so comfortable and convenient. Clean and comfortable rooms. Loved having the extra half bath and separating doors between bedroom and living area. My teenage daughter appreciated the privacy. There are plenty of food options within the hotel. It's also located in the heart of the city and easily walkable to and from other areas, such as old Town and the pier.

Apparently recently refurbished but looked a little tired to me. Nowhere to sit in comfy chair just to have a drink. No bar ,- you have to go into the restaurant and at one point we were told it was too busy to serve drinks only!!! Very expensive for meals. 3 courses and bottle of wine in steak bar across the road cost less than one course and two glasses of wine in hotel. Staff however were very helpful and friendly.

Great place for a coffee, grab a quick bite, take clients for a meal, hold an event. Go to for location, proximity to train station, cleanliness. Always nice decorations during the change of seasons. Area feels safe during the day and in the evenings as it's the business district. While there is a direct connection to the Gare Centrale, there doesn't appear to be loitering. Note: I have not stayed here.

The pool and sauna in the basement are nice but other than that it’s really nothing special. Not worth it unless you really want those amenities at this price point. It’s very budget luxury both in terms of price and the actual product. I expected more from the brand but it makes sense given the price point. Also, they tried to charge me to leave my bags at the hotel for an hour after I checked out. Seriously? The food at the fast casual spot in the lobby is terrible. The room service food is very good but very overpriced. Location is ugly and boring and only convenient for popping into the metro.

My stay was very pleasant! Katie was so kind to give us an upgrade to bigger room to accommodate us as we were coming with young kid. We enjoy our complementary breakfast everyday and had nice talk with all staffs who are very friendly 🥳 Room is well designed, bath tub is so big. Sofas are comfy. Love the separate living room. I only wish the pillow could be a little bigger. House keepers are friendly. The indoor swimming pool is small but good enough. Changing room is super clean and well-equipped with eletronic lock. The location of this hotel is perfect. Close to everything. View from our room is so beautiful. I definitely will come back here again in summer. 🥳

We booked two rooms at Fairmount Queen’s Elizabeth for thanksgiving long weekend as it was my birthday. I am very disappointed as the service was very bad. First they gave us wrong room and on top the room we got shifted to, had someone clothes ( which means it wasn’t even ready for us). We stayed there for two nights and we didn’t had shower gel stocked up. Second day room service came and just changed our towels. That’s it ! Hotel is in middle of downtown that’s why it’s popular else I would say it’s just overrated and overpriced. Two night and two rooms we paid $2500. And top of that rooms were very small size. We thought we booked one of the best but it just ruined my birthday.

I rarely leave online reviews but this one is important… the service at this hotel is terrible. It’s probably the worst service of any Fairmont hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Maybe the worst of any hotel. After a series of smaller situations where hotel employees were rude to us (but not so bad it merited an online review), we finally reached something that makes posting this 1 star review a necessity. In this specific case, it was not only bad service but it was the fact that it was paired with a safety issue that the hotel staff failed to fix in a timely manner. We spent nearly an hour locked out of our room because the keypad was broken. Multiple times we went to the front desk to get help. Initially, they did nothing. I mean we literally went downstairs to the front desk twice to tell them that the keypad was broken on our door and that we were locked out, and they did absolutely nothing. Finally after going back to the front desk for a third time, they sent a technician up to review the situation. When the technician arrived, he initially blamed us and suggested we failed to tap our room keys correctly. When we gave him our key so that he could see for himself that it didn’t work, he realized that even his own master key did not work. At this point, he realized the situation, and he cursed in the hallway. Eventually we were able to get into our room and we called downstairs to make sure that they could fix the door for good. This was important to us, because we had concerns about potential fire hazards. We were nervous that there was potential that the door could malfunction while we were on the other side, potentially leaving us stuck in the room. It’s possible that concern is farfetched, but after the experience we’d had, you can’t be too sure… We spoke to someone named Carl who was not apologetic about any of the situation. He dismissed the entire thing, which was difficult to process after an hour being locked outside of our room. So the short of it is that if you care about getting your money’s worth when you pick a hotel or if you just want to be treated with respect when things go badly, then do not stay here. We are frequent travelers to Montreal, and we certainly will never stay here again.

Our stay was amazing. We've booked a Gold room allowing us to access the Gold Lounge. I was surprised by the outstanding selection of breakfast, snacks (afternoon), and the daily changing options for dinner as well as deserts. We originally planned to have dinner elsewhere, but the selection and quality was too good. Perfect stay for us added by a forgotten eBook which has been sent to me within 2 days from Canada to Germany. Thank You!

We had a good time staying 2 nights at this hotel. It's conviniently located to all the touristy spots. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. They have valet parking for $37 a night and they park underground in a secure facility. The rooms and washrooms are modern and very clean, albeit small, perhaps because real estate doesn't come cheap in downtown Montreal. Beds are very comfortable. We had a nice view of the cathedral and the city of Montreal. No complaints. The staff at the reception was phenomenal. Would recommend staying at this hotel.

Very nice hotel in the financial district of Montreal. Their service is excellent. The rooms are nice. Mine came with a beautiful view. They have a nice gym as well as an indoor pool with sauna. There are bathrobes in the hotel rooms. Their concierge is fast and efficient. Very close to the Bell Centre.

This is a beautiful hotel, a landmark of Montreal. Recently renovated and with amazing views of the city. Conveniently located in downtown Montreal and with access to the underground shopping. This place is definitely a stop in your itinerary.

Arrived late Friday night(10pm), so it must have been a busy weekend because when I went to valet parking, he said there were no spots available. I had to ask if I could leave my car, so that my family could check in and then I would find parking but he gave me a 15 min time limit (really). Went up to check in and the staff was friendly. They were also surprised that there was no valet parking and told me to park on the street for the night. The beds were really comfortable, great view but the room was small. Read reviews about not touching the fridge to avoid charges, so it would have been nice to have an empty fridge for items....ice bucket on-top of the AC just doesn't cut it. Location was convenient but for the cost, there are other options available unless you really need the Fairmont brand. My friends checked in the next day, they came at 3 pm but waited over 1.5 hours for a room and had to go and ask a few times before anyone did anything... And their room cost double mine, I would have expected better service for the $$$ they paid....

This was a beautiful hotel that we were excited to stay in, but we were very disappointed in it,largely because of an incident that occurred that we wanted to warn potential new guests about. Do not leave valuables in your room! I left my purse with my wallet in our locked room for about an hour while we went down to breakfast. When we came back, housekeeping had already been to our room and then later that morning I received text notifications from my bank that charges had been made on our credit cards and when I looked in my wallet they were missing. When we reported it to the hotel, both the management and their security team were ineffective and unprofessional dealing with it. They literally did nothing to help the situation or take us seriously. So if you choose to stay here, do not leave anything valuable in the room.

We booked our stay at the Fairmont for a long weekend through the American Express hotel collection, as there were good offers, and we’ve always had positive experiences at Fairmont hotels. The staff were very friendly and hospitable, and the location is convenient for walking to downtown attractions, but the overall experience didn’t meet our expectations of Fairmont or the hotel collection. The hotel was sold out when we checked in, so no upgrades were available, but our “king room with a view” had a small uncomfortable bed and looked out at an office building. The sheets were very worn and scratchy, and the bed was closer to that of a queen. We liked that there were multiple dining options in the hotel, and the breakfast buffet was delicious, but the schedules and policies are very confusing. There is no lunch offered on the weekends, only breakfast / brunch and dinner, and the buffet apparently moves from the restaurant to the market at 9:30, so we waited in the restaurant line for nothing. Lastly upon checkout, the valet was absurdly understaffed, causing a 20 minute wait just to give them your ticket, and another 30+ minutes to retrieve the car. If we had a flight to catch, we would’ve been in trouble. The shining moment of our stay was how kind the staff were, but I’d likely choose another hotel next time for the value.

Location! Location! Location! I have nothing bad to say about this hotel. It’s so centralized and convenient. It’s attached to the underground city and the railroad station. We did not have to go outside much in the blizzard weather we experienced. The pool and gym is decent! The spa facility is on par!

I have been a loyal customer to this hotel for over 20 years and I will not change that for anything. I am a frequent traveller and I can tell that this hotel is unique. The comfort, the service and above all the staff. Whether at the front desk, at the restaurant or at the Fairmont Gold lounge, I have always been treated like a family member. And now the new generation of staff is as smiling, welcoming and helpful as those who have been there for a long time.

My husband and I decided to stay on the gold floors…we had just lost our dog and it was our Anniversary. When booking, the lady on the phone was so pleasant I ended up telling her about this…that we just wanted to get away and not have to do anything. When we arrived we found out that our room was upgraded, and an anniversary treat was left in our room. I wish I knew the name of the woman who took my call…but she made a really horrible time so much easier. We have been to the gold floors before and it is always the most amazing experience..thank you again.

Great location! We took a train from Toronto, so after a few escalator rides up, we were inside! We had an eventful day the day before and had a very early start to the morning, so we had hoped we could check-in early. Our rooms were ready early, thankfully. The receptionist was friendly, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were a little small but clean and bright. The shower door was odd though. Instead of a full-sized glass door, it was half that width, so the shower doesn’t get fully enclosed, leading to wet floors. Housekeeping did a great job though. Otherwise, we had a great time. I enjoyed going to Artisans for breakfast. The staff were nice and the food was delicious. One of them made cute latte art and she nudged her coworker excitedly to show her work. It was just adorable! She looked so happy! As mentioned before the location is excellent! The train station is downstairs (surprising as I couldn’t hear anything in the hotel). It’s walking distance to a lot of sightseeing spots. If you’re headed to the airport, the 747 bus stop is just across the street.

Reflecting on my week at Fairmont Queen Elizabeth, the spacious room provided a comfortable haven. The bathroom products were a standout, catering well to my sensitive skin. While the room had its share of furniture, perhaps a touch less would enhance the experience. A small gesture like a courtesy water bottle could add a thoughtful touch. Overall, a satisfying stay with a couple of minor considerations.

If I could give zero I would. Where to start - There was no clear instruction as to where to bring the car for the valet. When we pulled up to the front of the hotel, there was no spot to park and check in. I had to call the hotel where they instructed us to go around the hotel to find the parking lot. The parking entrance looked awful - Definitely not we expected from Fairmont. Then the velvet told us we have to go around get the ticket in order to park and check in. Well this is where I got really upset because we literally waited 45 minutes in the parking line. None of us could move or leave the line because we were all lined up back to back. We called hotel and asked them to do something about it and they said we just have to wait until we can park. I am writing this review in the car, stillllll waiting to get in. Now it’s coming to almost an hour wait. We always enjoy staying at Fairmont and this is really outrageous. This is the worst experience ever and if we could leave this line right now we would cancel our stay and go elsewhere. If you are spending 800+ a night, I expect the minimum service.. at least.

Astride the manager has a great staff. The night manager was extremely friendly as well. We had a concern and they dealt with it. Really understand customer service. Enjoyed all the amenities they have to offer in true Fairmont style!

I wish to make a special mention to Benjamin, the manager of the Colab on the evening of the 31st August. Benjamin made sure everything was well set up on the evening, but more so, helped me find my phone which was left unattended on one of the benches. Most professional, refine and caring. A huge value add to this special venue with an incredible vibe and views. Thank you Benjamin and your team. Really grateful.

Amazing experience. I can’t fault my stay here. We stayed on the 18th floor - gold level. Our room was amazing with a lovely view. The bed and all the facilities were fantastic. Our bathroom had a lovely bath and separate shower. Our room was cleaned and turndown every day. We also had access to the 21st floor that hosts the daily breakfast, afternoon stacks and dessert in the evening. The servers up there were especially lovely as you see them daily and they are all very friendly and accommodating. We visited during a very busy period and everything still operated very smoothly. Thank you for a lovely stay, we had the best time. See you soon.

Had an absolutely incredible time at the Fairmont this week. Service was outstanding - was able to check in early and check out late to suit my conference schedule. There were several food options located on the ground floor of the hotel and the conference area was quite spacious. The rooms were super modern looking and had great amenities.

We've stayed in many Fairmont hotels, however this was truly special cause of Gilbert at the front desk. He was warm, friendly & polite. He went over & beyond to ensure we had a lovely stay. Thanks so much. Our room was lovely, we enjoyed the view. The location is great, convenient to get about. We had a lovely stay.

I am a big boutique hotel girlie and I would otherwise avoid chains but my work stuck me in here. For the price there are a dozen nicer hotels in Montreal, the AC Marriott is cheaper and better. I haven't been charged $10 for hotel water in YEARS, and to pay for wifi? It was like stepping back into the past. The interiors are dated as well, and there is no privacy when trying to access the gym and wellness amenities. Really glad it's not my dollar covering this!

Wish we didn't book a rental car. Via station is in the basement and provided great service for getting around town. Hotel was extremely busy, but very quiet in the room. Rooms were a bit in the smaller size, but had all the amenities. Would definitely return on my next visit.

Designed and managed with lots of love. It was a pleasure to be a guest in this hotel. The staff is always professional, efficient and extremely polite and friendly which makes the stay pleasant. The rooms are beautifully designed and equipped with bathrobe, slippers, safe, minibar, iron, laundry service, breakfast, spa, fitness center, swimming pool. The beds are extremely comfortable and offer a deep and comfy sleep. The views from the rooms are beautiful. Looking for an easy and quick breakfast around the fire place? In the lobby of the hotel you can find the bar “Krema”. Delicious coffee and snacks. All in all a phantastic hotel, with great service, comfortable beds and very clean and tidy, created with love ♥️ thank you ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We’ve previously had a good, great even, experience at a Fairmont and were excited to go to a new one and give the gold floor experience a try. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to our expectations. It was my birthday and my girlfriend reached out to the concierge to get the hotel set up with balloons, cake, and card. Well, the concierge didn’t coordinate with the gold floor folks, so the room wasn’t set up when we got there. When they did bring in the balloons, they weren’t set up or what she’d ordered, there was no cake or card. I went down to the concierge, there was no real attempt to make things right. In the end we did get some of what was ordered and paid for but it kicked off our holiday on a bad note. She was incredibly disappointed that her surprise was ruined. Needless to say, I doubt we’ll be back and I’m skeptical of the chain moving forward.

Was worried about stay. Went in business and arrived early 10- was able leave my bag. They checked me in and said they would let me know when room was ready- I never heard back! Room was ready when I returned to hotel at 5. Nespresso was not working in room and they did send someone to fix it and they had to change it. Only fridge in room is automated so I could not put my wine or water in fridge. They sent me a mini fridge and said there was no “charge” this month Hotel this nice souls not considered nickel and diming costumers. Pool and hot tub were very nice and I enjoyed them. Close at 11 so a bit early for me. Location is amazing and central.

Location is very convenient attached to the train station and close to Eaton centre. The room is tiny for 1 but advertised for 4 just because they squeeze 2 double beds inside. No mini fridge either, just a stocked paid fridge that is full with no room for your own stuff and if you take anything out they'll charge you for it. They don't even offer complimentary water. Marriott is way better.

It's a fairly average experience, especially considering the highly priced rooms. Had a long wait for checking in. Rooms are quite decent. There are not very many eating options close by unless you are willing to walk a bit. It's a decent option but nothing special.

Not a family friendly hotel. Crib that was provided to us was a safety hazard. Babies are to sleep on hard surfaces not on a soft cushion that they cant roll back on. Was offered a free upgrade for my next stay, but I wont be coming back as there is no where for my child to sleep. Given the cost and the consistent use of luxury the hotel did not meet our needs nor expectations. Additionally was our anniversary and not even a card. I see from other reviews they usually provide something, but nothing for us.

This is an excellent hotel. They seem to have some staffing issues that slow things down a bit, but once you get to your room, the quality of finishes, bedding, views, and more were 5-star. I am certain their service will improve as they grind through the shortages that all businesses seem to be suffering from. They did have daily housekeeping which was a very pleasant surprise where most hotels offer nothing during your stay. The hotel is directly attached to the central train station making it a breeze to check out and catch the train. I recommend this hotel and will stay again when in Montreal.

It's a Fairmont, so everything is of course nice and clean and a great, central location in the city. The showers in the room I was in were pretty ridiculously designed. There's kind of a half glass door, so, try as you might the floor is going to be soaked, make sure to use the floor towel to not slip. A big disappointment was that when I arrived I was instructed that they don't offer valet and was told to park myself. This on its own would have been ok, but as I went to park myself in a building behind the hotel, I saw the same hotel employee valeting someone's vehicle after having just been told they don't offer valet. They did offer to check my bags but I only had a small weekend bag so didn't bother giving it. I just don't understand why I'd be told it wasn't offered. If the valet lot was full that's different and I'd have understood. For anyone that needs to park themselves there's a garage directly behind the building. I didn't take my car out over the weekend, but if I needed to I'd have been extra annoyed about the valet experience.

What a wonderful experience we had this weekend. Service was exceptional, the room we had was perfect but our AC was not working properly so we were put in another room that was even more perfect and all within 10 minutes ! Once the restaurant is open to full capacity for breakfast it will be even better. Such friendly and accommodating staff made for a wonderful experience at the Fairmont.

Parking was a bit inconvenient. We had to park outdoors and was a few minute walk to the lobby. Room was clean but a bit on the small side, especially the bathroom. The shower is quite narrow and water sprays out when you turn the shower on. Wasn't too comfortable showering in that tiny shower. The king size bed was small too, don't think it was a standard king. Overall I'm still pleased with my stay as cleanliness is at the top of requirements when staying at hotels and the Fairmont did not disappoint there. Edit: just found a hair and stain in the new towels that were just replaced today. Not sure if they reused our old towels and rolled it up again....

I had the best experience staying at this hotel. The check staff are amazing and very eager to answer all my questions. The room was lovely Amazing bathroom toiletries. The shower was wonderful and the housekeeping did an amazing job cleaning my room. Bring your bathing suit and take advantage of the pool, hot tub and sauna. You won’t regret it. I’ll definitely be coming back to stay here Two thumbs up Our view from the room was incredible Photo attached

I can not say enough good things about this hotel . We booked the golf package which was so worth it . We had access to the lounge , and amazing continental breakfast. The staff was wonderful and hospitable . Our room was spacious and comfortable. It was the perfect weekend away. My husband told the concierge that we were celebrating an anniversary, and then on the second day of our stay , they left a little cake . It was such a nice personal touch . We are often in Montreal , and will for sure be back . We have even considered only booking fairmont from here on out .

Great hotel. Check in was slow because they only had 2 people working but 10+ people waiting to check in. Elevators were ok but slow with limited numbers of people in them. Might be better to get a low floor and use the stairs. The hotel itself is nice. Wifi was fast. Rooms and common areas were clean. We just had a regular room with what was supposed to be a king bed but the room was quite small and bathroom was very cramped. Our room did have a nice view out the front of the hotel.

Nicely updated rooms but the hotel falls short on service. Both in-room dining and the outdoor lounge closed at 10pm, on a Friday! So if you're thirsty or hungry, it won't be at the hotel. Check out was similarily disappointing. Nobody at the front desk to assist with checkout at 5:30am. Despite calling out and waiting 5 minutes, nobody came. Not what is expected from a Fairmont, pandemic or not

Not happy with the cleaning services AT ALL. I've been a few times with my husband and young children over the past 2 years. I will share some examples with you: bobby pins left on the floor, pieces of plastic, granola bar wrapper and period pad wrapper left in the garbage can, hair left on the shower walls and during our last stay (in a complimentary suite) there was visible mould in the insulation of the window. No plastic barrier between us and the mouldy insulation. I'm very disappointed... I've talked to a manager about these issues. We've been given two complementary rooms which are still not cleaned properly. If you have young kids, consider the choking hazards the cleaners tend to leave on the floor. We have tried 3 different sized rooms and there are always the same issues... from basic one bed, junior suit and reg suit. Just unfortunate. The only reason I want to return to this hotel is because their security and safety is taken seriously. I also had my brand new car's windshield smashed in the Indigo parking lot connected to this hotel. Many issues, and it's hard for me to recommend it.

The hotel was so interesting with its colours, murals and plushness. The bed was about the most comfy I have ever slept in and we had an amazing view from the 17th floor. Coffee and the ham sandwich were also top notch from the cafe! Virginie was wonderful to deal with!

The check in was slow with a long line and only one receptionist. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The pool and gym excellent. Staff very welcoming. Limited options for food for families.

Room Was clean and spacious. Stole every piece of shampoo of course. Complimentary robes and glass for your water and ice cubes to drink out of. Tho the TV is not smart nor does it have a chrome cast so if you don't wanna pay any excess with the room, you can only watch the TV. Thi to be fair there are a lot of channels. THE SNACKS ARWNT FREE. Check for the menu that tells all the prices. All in all pretty good experience.

Excellent service. Very friendly staff all around. Our waitor at Roselys was wonderful and full of good advice (thank you for the bagel shop recommendation). We went with our children ages 4 and 6. They enjoyed the interactive river and exploring the hotel. The subway and train are underneath the hotel which was very cool. Had we known this I may have took the train from Ottawa here instead of driving from Calabogie. Just for the experience. Our room had the most beautiful view of the cathedral. Highly recommend booking a city/cathedral view room. I could sit in the window for hours enjoying the view. Location of the hotel is great. Walking distance to old Montreal even with kids. We were able to walk it all. Took the subway to the biodome right from hotel. Fun experience for the kids who have never been on a subway before. Our bed was comfy. Room was clean. All in all we had a great experience and would stay here again. This is our second fairmont experience (first being Montebello). The kids also enjoyed the scavenger hunt. Thanks for a great time. Merci!

Classic, sprawling hotel with close to 1,000 rooms. Incredibly busy weekend when I stayed. Staff are great, all that I encountered were friendly, professional and engaging. Check in was a breeze, less than 3 minutes. Elegant rooms with well appointed amenities. Fairmont has the hospitality industry down to a science. Bravo. It would be my pleasure to return again.

I stayed in this hotel for a work conference and the room was great. King size bed on the 6th floor, was a comfy bed. Bathroom was a little small but otherwise a good room. The service at the hotel was great. They were really accommodating for our very large group. I didn't have a great view from my room but a number of my colleagues did. I would stay here again.

What an amazing experience! Dominic at the front desk went out of his way to ensure I found my lost book, with success ! The staff in the Artisans are warm, enjoyable to speak to, and above all they are attentive to my needs as a guest. The pizza is highly recommended. One of the staff suggested I try the cream filled puff dessert. It was outstanding! It has raised the bar for bakery goods everywhere. Velvet chocolate deliciousness! Ill be back for more of that dessert. Issam in In Room Dining has a wonderful ability to connect with the guest and is he a delight to speak to. Gold floor staff are friendly and inviting and the breakfast gives me a great start to the day. Especially with the views from the Gold Floor Lounge.

Stayed here while attending a major international conference, was extremely impressed by the hotel, its services, staff, restaurants and amenities. Used the well-equipped fitness center every day and the saunas/pool. Location is excellent, very close to everything. And despite the chaos of the conference crowds, the staff that I interacted with were consummate professionals and would go out of their way to help you. Will definitely be looking to stay here again for future visits to Montreal. Bravo!

We were staying here for the SIOR convention. On the check in day, the line was long but the staff did everything possible to move us quickly and brought water to everyone waiting. The rooms at lovely, updated and perfect, but very European in size. The staff are exceptional! Everyone at the desk, concierge, wait staff, housekeeping, spa, and cafe were incredible. We even called back after we checked out to purchase something at the gift shop and the concierge was fabulous in making that happen so easily.

Beautiful Christmasy vibes! It’s not just a hotel, it’s a castle and a royal experience. You will be taken care of as soon as your car stops in front of the driveway. Every single staff member is very hospitable and would love to help you. You can also take a tour to know the history. Just a caution, the rooms get booked up really fast, so you need to plan ahead if you’re booking for Christmas time.

Although the room is on the smaller side, the beds are extremely comfortable and cozy. The hotel is in a great central location. For those travelling with electric vehicles, valet will charge your car for you which is a convenient bonus. Staff is very friendly and accommodating.

The Fairmont experience won't let you down! We attended a wedding reception on the terrace, and it was spectacular. The food was outstanding. One note: the Sunday buffet comes in at a whopping $225 for two people! (Incl tip) Too pricey for a buffet having your typical choices, but good service and good atmosphere.

Room - Stayed in the large Fairmont King Gold room. Nice spacious bathroom - separate tub and shower. Very clean. Nice sitting area. We had to bring our dog last minute on the trip, cannot imagine staying in a smaller room. Housekeeping was excellent, we often had DND on our door due to the dog and would leave later than normal, they somehow managed to get in and clean everything up while we were away. Service - Very good, we loved the Gold Lounge. The valet and bell boy all very helpful - must use if traveling with a dog or child, there’s just too much to mind otherwise. Location - Great location, very central. Parking - We paid for valet parking, there is ONLY valet parking. I was a bit miffed by this initially, but there has been an uptick in car theft. The parking garage is very secure and worth the price. The only weird thing about this hotel is unfortunately the amenities (including fitness facilities) are in the basement and you need to take the elevator down to the ground level, walk across from one end of the hotel almost to the other end to take a set of escalators down.

Excellent location. Good pool & sauna. Few issues/drawbacks - Hotel parking is super expensive & full. Had to park in an adjacent location which was not easily accessible from hotel. Room & washroom is cramped. They don’t have microwave in common areas - need to consider that when travelling with kids They don’t empty the snacks bar even when requested- have to be careful with kids. Mini fridge is charged.

Amazing service from the start of our stay from Frederique upon Registration. She upgraded us to a Gold Room Suite which included Breakfast and Happy Hour for a fee and that made our stay outstanding. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so memorable. We will definately come back:) Best Location too!

The location is amazing. The hotel is clean. Room wasn't great for a family of 3. The AC was lacking as it didn't cool enough. We called and asked for repair or check and they said they fixed it; however, didn't cool enough and since we were leaving the third day, we just accepted as a subpar AC system and moved on. The coffee shop and bakery are amazing. Location is great for walkability. Also only 25 minute walk from old port area.

We absolutely loved our stay at this hotel. The rooms are very clean with the most comfortable bed you could imagine. The restaurant serves top-notch dishes with great waitstaff. I'd love to visit Montreal again to stay here!
