As a solo female traveler, I really liked this hostel. Room - I had a bed in the girls only dorm. The room was cleaned every day, the bed were comfortable and provided privacy thanks to the curtains. There were lockers under the beds with ample storage. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Common areas - The common areas were great to hang out in as well. Staff was nice. The hostel wasn’t loud and there is a bar downstairs if you want to enjoy the evenings. They have events almost everyday, I joined for the karaoke and had a lot of fun. Location- I really enjoyed the central location as I could walk to almost all touristy locations. There is also train station nearby for farther away locations. I’d stay here again.

Very impressive hostel. I arrived quite late (11pm) after a long day of travelling from London. Quick check in process and I was in bed by midnight. Perfect little pod type bunks to sleep in so lots of privacy, curtain, light, every plug adapter needed for phones etc. Good aircon. Rooms cleaned daily to a good standard. Excellent bathroom and shower. Slept very well. Staff are friendly. Bar is fun. No noise after 11pm in the rooms. Highly recommend! The area is a bit sketchy with a lot of homeless drug addicts around, however in 5 days I didn't have a problem and there is usually police not far away keeping an eye on things. For me it doesn't impact the stay, often hostels are in these types of areas anyway.

Nicest hostel I have ever been in. Showers were incredibly modern. Washrooms feel like a hotel washroom and are really nicely designed. Beds aren't small. The storage is underneath the beds and the curtains blocked almost all light out. The top of the hostel has a really cool patio with two huge hot tubs. We went in the hot tubs in the winter. Can't imagine the vibe the place would have during the summer.

Rooms are well maintained and good place to stay . The wending machines , accessible locality , lounge room are good . There are 2 drawbacks I faced 1- was that the women’s dorm are more expensive than the men’s dorm I hope in future all rooms are equally priced . 2- There is a deposit amount that is charged around 50 $ which I haven’t got back . This is a pain as they did not accept cash and I am unable to connect to my back . All I got is a receipt confirmation that it was sent in Jan 22 and it is not yet reflected in my account nor the bank is responding . it would be better if you can except cash next time as it is an additional hassle for a tourist and a pain

First time been to a hostel and I would say it was a pleasant experience. Parking is $20 a whole day in their own garage, but have to remove your car by 12pm. Room have one restroom with shower and tub, but there are more shower rooms with individual doors throughout the place. I only saw 2 toilet total, one in bedroom and the other in the shower area. Bring your own slippers, shampoos etc. They provide you a laundry bag with clean sheets and blankets that you will have to bring back at the end of stay. You have to make your bed, so you know that it is clean. Overall this was a good experience, I slept well with my earplugs and eye cover because though out the night there are many people walking in and out of the room.

Very clean place with friendly staff. I found a parking spot on the street. The bed had nice shelves and a light. My room had a washroom inside, there were washrooms and showers outside as well. The only thing I didn't like was that the mattress was not comfortable.

This is by far the most unprofessional establishment. For several months in a row I booked reservations at M Montreal for work related purposes, and I have had many inconvenient and disgusting experiences. The building is not maintained, there is mold in the showers and bathrooms. There was a power outage for many hours and the receptionists could not provide us with any details about it nor did they offer any compensation for the inconvenience. I have witnessed other male guests belligerently drunk and pee in the shared common spaces whilst naked, I had to personally complain about this to get a new room. They initially asked me “what I wanted them to do about it”. The sinks and drains are clogged with hair constantly, the linens are not always fresh, and the fridges and rooms are NOT cleaned routinely. On different occasions, they’ve confused me with other guests waking me up to ask when Id be checking out, just to say my name was similar to the previous checked out guests! Upon checking in the other day, I was told that my reservation was cancelled due to it being a "no show". I was surprised because I have never experienced this with the many times I booked with M Montreal. While making my reservation a computer glitch selected the current date/time rather then the day I booked. Instead of receiving a call or notification about my “no show” reservation I was told that they could not accommodate me and I would need to make a new reservation, although I did not receive any notifications about the “no show” appointment I paid for. After many hours of explaining to the front desk that there must have been a mistake because I was travelling and I was not in the province for the reservation so I would not have booked for that date/time, they very rudely told me that they could not help me. In fact, when i asked to speak to a manager they told me to wait for 2 hours and that there was no manager on site. They LIED, because after 2.5 hours the “manager” was a man that was already in the building walking past me the entire 2.5 hours. He was very rude and passive aggressive and did not want to hear my explanation, instead he made up lies and said it is against their “policy” to help and “how this happens everyday”. I’ve paid this establishment hundreds of dollars and they STOLE my money for a reservation that I was not aware of and took advantage of it! Because they wanted more money! The staff lacks customer service and human decency. Why would I waste my money? I would NEVER recommend this establishment to anyone. Please save your money for a different hostel or hotel. There are many different options in the area! Please do yourself a favour, save your money and DO NOT BOOK WITH M HOTEL!

Staying at the M Montreal was my first hostel experience. As a solo female traveller I was fairly nervous about staying in a hostel but I had the best experience here. The hostel and the rooms look exactly as they are presented on the website. Very friendly front staff, clean and modern rooms and a welcoming space. I stayed in a female-only 6 bed dorm and it was well-maintained, spacious and the bathroom was modern and clean. The bunk itself had a curtain that wrapped all the way around for privacy that I greatly appreciated. When you check in you are given your linens and make your bed yourself which I liked - I knew that everything was clean and fresh. They have lockers but you must bring your own lock! They sell them for 6$ but cash-only. I will absolutely be staying here again next time I am in Montreal!

Really a top notch place. Very convenient/central location. Great atmosphere, new friends, lots to enjoy within the hostel (free coffee, weekend pizza, jacuzzi, views, comedy night, comfy bed). After staying for few weeks ($$$), got dinged 10$ for a 30min late checkout. So you know, don’t mess around with the staff too much ;)

The hostel itself was really great! The beds were very comfortable and the rooms/bathrooms really clean in general! The downside for me was the location of the hostel. There are a lot of homeless people in the area which made me feel a bit unconformtable as a solo-traveller. Overall great hostel and would recommend for a great but cheap place to stay!

Brilliant hostel in the heart of Montreal's "Village." Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were perfectly clean and well equipped. The roof was a fun space with sun lounges and hammocks. Only disappointment is the hot tubs are weak and cool. The kitchen was clean and well equipped with ovens, stoves, kettle, toasters, and anything else you could need. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place in the village

One of the best run Hostels I have had the chance to stay in. The 24 hour receptionist desk was amazing and very helpful I appreciate that a lot. Rooms/bathrooms were very clean and the whole building was well kept to a high standard. The location was awesome, I was able to reach everywhere I needed to be easily on foot or by bus. Overall great quality for what you are paying for!! The only criticism I can think of is they definitely need to add a mirror in the women's bathroom!!!

We absolutely loved our stay here - this is the best hostel I have ever stayed at! The pods in the dorms are so perfect and the rooms were so clean. The kitchen was very large and clean. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for a great stay!

I've stayed here several times, and it is definitely my preferred accommodation. Despite being dorm style, there's still quite a bit of privacy and an overall sense of high quality. A bonus is reasonably priced parking in the basement. You can hear pretty much any language at any given time because of the guests. It's pretty fantastic. Also, free coffee. I love that I have this available only an hour and a half from my home in Burlington, Vermont. It's such a convenient and high quality getaway.

I stayed in the twin private. The room was very clean and well air conditioned, although the mattresses were super stiff. The bathroom was spacious and clean. However, it was $280 for the night once all the fees were added on. You can stay at a really nice hotel for that much. I wouldn't recommend. But maybe if you're using the dorms it a better deal. I was charged double the original price I was quoted for late check-out and no one at the desk could refund me. The rooftop patio is very cool!

I loved this hostel. This was my 2nd hostel experience. I booked a 10 person female dorm. For a 4 night stay, it was around $200 which was great. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. There is plenty to do with the bar and jacuzzi and the common spaces are open and accessible. Parking is $20/day in their garage, but there is street parking available if you feel comfortable with your car out. The area the hostel is located in is like the West Hollywood of Montreal, very LGBT friendly, lots of rainbows and mirror balls along the street. Close to food, Metro, and night life. I am a solo female traveller and walked quite a bit around the hostel both at night and during the day, I felt safe the entire time. There is a few homeless folks here and there, but all speak French and don't approach. Overall, I would stay here again and I would feel safe letting my 18 year old sister stay here as well.

Super clean, fun hostel with large private rooms if you prefer that to the dorms. Two hot tubs on the roof. Friendly atmosphere, with free daily activities like guided walks and comedy night. Lots of guests hanging out in the common areas. Nice, helpful staff. Bar downstairs has stage, pool table and foosball. We had a private room, and it was like a very well-priced hotel room with a full kitchen. The main difference is that it is not cleaned between guests (unless you stay for four days, or you request the service and pay a fee). Very comfortable bed, too.

Unfortunately, my review will be based on the price that I paid, which is a little higher than the typical rate. The beds were comfortable, the bunks were well-designed, and the atmosphere was great. However, there were lots of little incorrect things that added up. The fitted sheets didn’t actually fit the bed, the free breakfast wasn’t free, and the shower was so poorly designed that not only did it not have clothes hooks, but clothes got soaked on the floor because the curtain was too short. Overall, friendly service, comfortable, but had some hiccups.

Seeing raving reviews about this place might have set my expectations a bit too high. I got redirected to the wrong building when I checked in. I had to hand over a piece of ID to borrow an umbrella; not sure why can't I pay a simple deposit, as if I'm borrowing a historical one of a kind museum artifact.. the umbrella was a shy step away from getting broken anyway. The location is sketchy, especially at night. It's not uncommon to run across homeless people in the alleyway. In fact, first day I was there, I was approached by a panhandler. The pillow I got seemed to have spot of dried blood. I stayed in a 6 mixed dorm. It wasn't too bad. It's good there's a bathroom for each dorm, besides the outside bathroom for the corridor. It's an okay place to crash in for the night, but if this is what's considered a high bar, then I don't want to see what other motels look like. I haven't really explored the place besides that. Didn't try their tour, their terrace, their activities, nor their cafe. To end it in a positive note, they do provide free of charge luggage if you arrive too early or have to check out but not ready to leave yet.

One of the cleanest hostels I've been to in North America! The front desk staff were friendly and helpful in answering any questions you have (shout-out to the lady that looked like Gal Gadot!). The location is 5 minutes away from the metro. There are a few homeless people around the area but I haven't encountered any issues while I was there for the week. A lot of features (rooftop bar, jacuzzi, basement bar) and activities they host such as walking tour/pub crawls.

M Montreal is an amazingly modern hostel and I absolutely loved every minute of my stay. My only regret is that I only stayed for 2 nights. But in those two nights I made more than a dozen friends and spent almost every minute of my stay doing something fun with other travelers. My overall experience in Montreal was unbelievable and I plan on returning for at least a month to explore the city more. I will happily plan on staying at M Montreal for that extended visit because I know it will provide opportunities for new adventures every day. One of my favorite experiences was a planned walk around the city with Andre. We visited areas of the city that I would not have ventured to in my limited time in town. Andre was great at bringing people together and sharing the beauty of Montreal.

Impeccably clean, super helpful and friendly staff and free coffee and tea in the lobby. I travel internationally for work and the room I stayed in was better than most places I stay in. I had a large king size room with a kitchenette but there are several other accommodation options that suit all budgets. The location is quite central and the place has a cool youthful vibe but also an excellent option for all ages. I highly recommend.

This place is one of a kind. Never would I have imagined a hostel of this quality and service to exist in the world. I had originally booked 2 nights, I ended up returning a number of times to accumulate a stay of 2 weeks on and off throughout the Month. All staff are very friendly and accommodations are cleaned everyday throughout the day with a hardworking cleaning team! The bar has many fun themed nights and the bartender Andre is always happy to engage in comedic conversations and will be sure to make you a special cocktail! I will no doubt return to M Montreal next time I'm in the city! Thank you so much for the incredible experience to all the staff at M Montreal!

The reception staff was incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to ensure a smooth check-in process. My dorm room was impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. The beds were comfortable, equipped with personal power outlets, and reading lights. The hostel took great care in providing lockers for secure storage, ensuring the safety of my belongings throughout my stay. What truly set this hostel apart was the incredible communal areas. The common room was a bustling hub of activity, fostering a warm and social environment. It boasted comfortable seating, board games, —a perfect spot to relax, socialize, and meet fellow travelers from around the world. The hostel also had a well-equipped kitchen, enabling guests to prepare their own meals and save on dining expenses. Whether you're a solo traveler or part of a group, this hostel is an absolute must-visit destination. I will undoubtedly return on my next visit to the area!

Very conveniently located in central Montreal, with affordable pricing. I stayed in a hostel room, which had new bunk beds that are well designed apart from being a bit noisy with the metal parts. Friendly staff, nice amenities with the cafe and rooftop lounge.

I had booked a room on their website for the Ile Soniq event back in September 24-26 2021. I enjoyed my stay, nice and clean. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they ask for another 325 $ (upon arrival) charge which they say will be reimbursed but I never got it back. I was also charged an extra 40$, I don't know for what reason, as I was already back home when I saw the charge. Didn't bother to find out, they will rip you off. I have my bank statements to prove it. One thing for sure, I'm never going back there again. Better places for better prices are available, just do research first. ;) *** edit I don't know how I did not respect the policy by having a stain (i did not check if there was by the way). you make it sound like a crime for a woman to have her menstruation while in your hotel. if you charge me for it, why keep the whole amount of deposit? anyhow, do not give them your credit card. beware.

M Montreal was a great hostel to say for New Years. As disappointing as it was for the city to be locked down for New Years, we still met some great people at the hostel as well as the the front desk staff were awesome! Shoutout to Kammy! who recommended us some great vintage stores and thrift shops as well as restaurants to go to. The hot tub was great as well with a cool view of the city from the rooftop. Rooms were very clean and upscale with dark curtains on every bed which is always appreciated. The hostel itself was very large with a great kitchen also. I would definitely stay at again if I'm ever in Montreal.

Our stay was perfect! Service was great. Unfortunately, early on the morning of our leaving day, my young daughter was sick (vomit). Since no cleaning crew are present until 9 AM, I asked for a mop and clean the space myself, cleaning floor, furniture, handles, everything! Removed all the sheets to make sure it didn't go on the mattress. Imagine my surprise to discover that I was charged 57.49$ on my credit card because there was vomit on the sheet. Seriously? I didn't steal anything, I didn't cut the sheet or tear them apart. I didn't stain the mattress. NO, only vomit on sheets and I have to pay? Seriously, dirty sheet is the daily reality of every hotel on earth but hey, dear client of ours, pay for new sheets. I have 3 kids that were sick in their life and nothing was ever stain, and I have regular washing machine; nothing like the industrial machine and product you are using. So disappointed. I was highly promoting your hotel...until I saw this charge.

We loved the place! More than enough lockers in the room and the beds themselves were quite smartly/conscientiously designed. We can't wait to go back. There was a mini fridge and a bank of lockers (in addition to space under the bed) plus a private bathroom in the 4-bedroom we were in. Staff were bilingual. General vibes from the location were good! They also have secure underground parking! The only heads up to share is to bring your own pillow - the ones they provide are like 10" high, which is a little nuts! Wishful thinking: USB charge ports in the bedroom, and a microwave in the bedroom. Totally worth the $$

The staff was great. They were very kind and very accommodating by agreeing to store my luggage before my arrival and after my stay as I had a late flight. The place itself was nice and very convenient to the metro. The only criticism I would offer and why I can't give them the 5th star is the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was very hard on my back. I would stay here again but I do hope they will invest in new bedding.

Clean and elegant rooms as usual. Our stay was decent but the bar service is lacking with the new staff. I used to look really forward to the bar here and would come with my girlfriends to party. The old bartender Dino is no longer there :( very sad my girlfriends and I loved him! A great location and hopefully they can get back on track once everything gets back to normal

The facility was clean and well maintained. Both the common areas and the dormitory rooms were comfortable. One of the standout features of this hostel was the kitchen and lounge area. The kitchen was well-equipped with all the necessary utensils and appliances, making it convenient for guests who preferred to cook their own meals. The lounge provided a cozy spot to relax or even catch up on some work. Another perk was the complimentary coffee available to guests.Furthermore, the hostel had a variety of good activities to offer, which allowed guests to interact with other travelers. Unfortunately, amidst all the positive aspects of my stay, there was one incident that tarnished the overall impression. On one occasion, I witnessed a lady with orange hair, who appeared to be a staff member, behaving rudely towards her colleagues in front of me. This lack of professionalism was disappointing and not in line with the otherwise pleasant environment of the hostel. Despite this specific incident, I would still recommend this hostel. It is my hope that the management addresses the issue of staff behavior to ensure a consistently pleasant experience for all guests.

We had a great time staying at M Montreal. We had a private room, which was nice and quiet. The bed was a little small and bouncy for two people to share however. The location was great and all the facilities of the hostel that we used were tidy and well maintained.

Was thrown a curveball by the hotel down the street overbooking and bailing on me - M Montreal saved my behind and was a pleasure to stay at! Wandered in from a night out at 5am and had a late checkout arranged within mere minutes - 1000/10 would recommend. Clean & safe as well!!

The curtains, lighting, and lockers were all built into the bunks. The basement bar was a big plus as well. If you're planning to book specifically for the hot tub, I wouldn't. The water was lukewarm and it just isn't as fun as at a home rental. Otherwise, the rooftop is fantastic. Parking and unloading was easy.

It’s great for a short stay. Rooms are divided between at least 8 double beads. There are private rooms for higher prices. If you’re travelling as couples, don’t bet on getting the same double deckers even if in the same room 😅. Check with the reception before head. The most basics you need for the best value.

M Montreal was awesome. Unfortunately I went on winter and during covid season, so there were not a lot of guests and the facilities like the jacuzzi and the bar/cafe in the lobby were closed. I booked a private room with washroom for 4 people and the room was much better than we expected. Only reason for 4 stars is price - not cheap compared to other places around the city. Definitely recommend and will return.

Very friendly staff, good location. We booked a private suite, was clean and very well furnished. Only complaint is the bedding consisted of a very thin sheet, and extremely warm comforter, which made it basically impossible to find a comfortable sleeping temperature.

We booked two nights at M Montréal in a twin private room. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been upgraded to the two king private room. And wow! That room was spacious, well designed, and clean. We highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Montréal.

I was shocked at how nice this place was to say considering the area. The room was very nice and enough to sleep the 7 of us. The highlight was the roof top lounge, had a great time at night in the hottub. The staff and customer service was great! Only con was the room wasn't given extra toilet paper and with 7 people we ran out and were in a pinch.

Sketchy area, my slides and flip flops were taken by the cleaners although they were next to my bed (didn’t get them back). Hostel felt a bit dirty- similar to all massive hostels. hardly any space to store food in the kitchen. A weird complaint I know. Partner was given stained pillowcase but reception stated “probably is clean, it’s nothing” without offering replacement, had to ask for one. Rooftop nice

A group of us stayed here for a weekend and we would come back in a heartbeat. The room we had was for 5 people with 2 kings and 1 sofa bed and a half kitchen. There was a lot of space in our room. There is a great atmosphere in the bar/game rooms in the basement. There is a amazing rooftop patio with 2 hot tubs and plenty of space to hang out with friends. We will definitely be booking here again.

As a 42 year old, hostels can be a gamble for me, but not at M Hotel! The 24 hour reception was great and very helpful. I stayed in the 10 bed female dorm. The privacy curtains, lights, hangers, footlocker, and shelf in the bed pod were great. The bathroom was nice and clean. Had no issues with roommates. There can be noise in the halls, so earplugs always a good bet in hostels. I really liked the kitchen area. It was perfect for having some breakfast and answering emails in the morning. I was only in montreal 1 night and this hostel was a great fit. I would come back and spend more time. Very well run hostel! If you're looking for cannabis go to the SQDC at Montréal – Saint-Denis – Rachel 4156, rue Saint-Denis. The one north of the hostel that is closer is in a SKETCHY area. Like, "smoke crack in the open at noon" sketchy.

Stayed for 3 days on long weekend on 6 bed room dorm. Beds are comfortable and have curtains for privacy. The front desk people are also very helpful in everything. Location is also very good ( downtown and very close to metro). Only little thing I could point out is the pillow size was too large which made it little difficult to sleep for me but not a big deal. Overall I recommend and would stay again in future.

I enjoyed my weekend at the M Montreal during the Ile Soniq Festival. The 12-person dorm was spacious and comfortable compared to other hostels I've been to. The building also seems to have been renovated recently so very modern vibes. There was 1 ensuite bathroom however several more located on the floor so that if someone was using the ensuite you didn't have to panic! They have great facilities including a kitchen, bar, snack lounge, laundry, and roof top jacuzzies. They also provide many amenities like sheets and towels. Only thing I forgot to pack was soap but luckily their 24hr reception had it available. (Travelled during the covid pandemic and most people followed mask mandates and social distancing requirements. The place was also very clean).

Best place ever. The bed and bathroom is the best I have seen across the world for a backpackers. Love the common kitchen. Great location and super helpful staff.

Great place and they keep it clean. It was very easy to check in and out. The location is very close to downtown as well.

STANDARDS ARE LOW — and 80% of the staff didn’t wear masks including the cleaning staff as well — we stayed here for over a week. Someone or the authorities should look in to this. They’re not up to codes. LOW-CLASS CUSTOMER SERVICE — We paid for late checkout but it turned out their keycards did not work for the extended time. Their staff (3 of them) had the nerve to argue over this issue (by the way — maskless) at us. If your standards are low and you want to catch covid, I think this is your perfect place to stay!!!

One of the best hostels I have ever stayed at! I stayed at the 6 person room, and it was genuinely amazing! You are provided with a little bag that contains your towel, linens and blanket when you check in. The beds were clean, and the room was very tidy when I arrived. The bathroom was very clean as well, and the shower was in pristine condition. The vibe of the place was great too, and they have daily activities where you can meet new people. The only bad part about my stay was the guy in the bunk below me shaking the room with his snores, but that’s not something that the hostel can control. Overall a great experience, and definitely recommend!

I enjoyed my stay there (I had a 2 king-size bedroom). For the price, I think the value was okay. My bed was very hard/uncomfortable and the chair in the common area was torn up and just seemed unkempt. Hostel amenities were nice with the bar and activities everyday. I was disappointed that smoking was not allowed on the rooftop terrace as that was one of the things I was looking forward to. I understand respecting people around you, but there was an elevated portion of the terrace that would've been great to have a cigar. Overall, not a bad experience, but I wasn't blown away by the quality. I would make it a 3.5 if that was an option.

Best hostel experience of my life!! The rooms were so clean, the staff were so friendly, the amenities were great, and location was fantastic! Having a rooftop hot tub was just the cherry on top. Especially a big thanks to the bartender, André, who gave us so many great recommendations around the city and made our stay so much more fun!

Great location, very nice for a hostel- you get a bed with a curtain for privacy, there's nice bar with activities. A hot tub on the rooftop, giant kitchen to make yourself whatever meal you want. I loved it! One of the best hostels I went to.

This was my first time solo travelling, M Montreal exceeded my expectations as a hostel. The rooms were very clean and spacious enough considering I was sharing a room with other travellers. The bathrooms and showers were extremely clean which was great. Amazing place to meet new people and have great experiences, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience for my first time travelling somewhere alone. Cant wait to come back soon

Had a great experience staying at hostel. Really modern and clean room. Everyone was very friendly. Morgan at the reception was very helpful. Lot of activities and ways to make friends. It also has an in-house bar which is great. Andre at the bar played some great music which made the overall experience enjoyable. Totally recommend it.

It is VERY Clean!! The washrooms are shared with your roommates but are super clean. Clean them once a week but still nicely maintained. The vibe is cool, a lot of young people. Great bar to hang out and do activities all week long. They give you a bag with your sheets, towel, and blanket which is great so you know no one touched your things.

Quite high-end for the price with a nice rooftop terrace and some hot (warm) tubs. Rooftop bar and good views. Each bed even in the large bunk rooms is its own spacious pod with a privacy curtain and storage space. Highly recommend. Note parking is $23 per night, but they have their own garage.

Stayed here twice now! Once in a private room (which was way beyond expectation) the other in a shared mixed gender room. Great hostel, in a good location, with friendly staff and people, a bar and hot tubs on the roof. Best hostel I've been to so far.

Cute hotel and very classy for a hotel/hostel mix. A lot of services available. No hair dryer in suite, have to borrow from the front in exchange for ID. Floors are all wonky due to buildings age, disorienting but fun. Overall I would definitely stay here again. Right off of Saint Catherine Street is a good place to be to experience Montreal culture.

One of the best places I stayed at so far. Might not be the cheapest, but it's worth the money. All of the staff were super friendly and really made you feel like 1 big group off friends. Especially at the bar! Bed's are comfortable, room's are very clean and showers are great. Jacuzzi is amazing and free.

They have done a missive renovation a few years ago, which really makes this place stand out from other hotels/hostels. I have tried their dormitory room for three times, it was decent before the renovation, and after the renovation, they have absolutely the best hardware facilities for hostel‘s dormitory room in Montreal.

I was on a solo trip to Montreal last week and I stayed here for one night it was my pleasant stay with M montreal the room was clean. My loved place was rooftop with jacuzzi hot bathtub with exotic views and they have pub also down the stairs with pool table and more games. Super friendly staff and well trained 👏. I made new friends here with different nationality like China, Austria, Germany and British. I will highly recommend this place for solo travelers as well as group travelers and its budget friendly hostel. Try to book one week prior your date it will easy for you.

M Montreal has definitely earned its claimed 5 star rating. They have all of the amenities of a hotel while also offering a cooking area to make the visit a little easier on the budget. The rooms are clean and modern, the staff is extremely friendly, and the bar downstairs turned out to be a hidden gem. The location near the gay village also couldn't be better. It was less than a 5 minute walk to most of the popular clubs and tourist spots.

I just left my week long "stay", and I couldn't wait to write a review as I'm waiting in line for my train at Gare Centrale. --- Having been an avid traveler for quite a few years in the past, and choosing to always try and stay in hostels, this... This place is INCREDIBLE. --- I was here for work purposes and wasn't able to really make use of every amenity, but I did take the time to walk around and see for myself what others were raving about. --- Entrance and front desk, super clean and inviting. They have a big rotation of front desk staff, and though they were not all the same, they kept the same knowledge that they were indeed working at a top hostel. --- They have two buildings and I stayed in the first tower. I slept in a four person dorm, and although the mattress wasn't super comfortable, it was sufficient. Their design and organization was very unique and greatly appreciated. Sheets, blanket, and towels provided were in good order. --- We had a shared en suite washroom and shower (with an extra one down the hall for the floor). The shower pressure was not great and hard to temperature control, but it was manageable. --- I did not use either of the two communal kitchens/fridges, but walking around, I found the "newer" of the two buildings to be a very sufficient size and good quality. --- Walking around the basement bar just to take a look, and I swear it could be a pure small stand alone bar on its own without the feel of it being in a hostel. Great ambiance. --- But here is the big one. --- They have two hot tubs on the rooftop of the second building. Very small hassle for someone like me having to walk from the first building to the second. It. Was. Worth. The. Walk. The only downside was that maybe it wasn't hot enough and no instructions on use (and some jets were not operational), but it did the job, it was fun, and a great way to relax and meet others. --- The neighborhood is quite, uh... Unique. But that is part of the fun of finding gems/hostels. Very close to a metro station. Again, I didn't vreallyvget to wander as much as I would have liked, but my room mates seemed to find it quite central for neighbourhood walks. +++ Great job M! +++ Thank you!!! (My train is boarding so I have to stop writing.)

We rented a suite for 4 days. The room looked amazing. 2 king-size bed great kitchen, nice bathroom 4 the floor close to the rooftop. 2 jacuzzi great view. 300$ a night not bad. Cons are that coffee machine and caffeinated coffee aren't provided in the rooms. It comes with a kettle and decaffeinated sachets free from the company. No breakfast. I didn't expect bacon and eggs but fruit, cereal, toast jam and coffee should be ordered at 300$ a night. Lastly room cleaning is only done every three days. Sucks. The staff are awesome, friendly and helpful. I should have read the fine print. Micheal The Designer from Wflowers

Awesome hostel to stay for a couple nights! Super friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location for a tourist in Montreal with everything in walking distance. The rooms are very clean and modern. Provided free tea and coffee in the common lobby room as well as a cool bar and pub downstairs in the evening. The best part was the jacuzzis at the top of the building! Excellent skyline views and amazing place to chill out and socialize.
