My husband and I go to Montreal every year, sometimes twice a year. This is our new favorite hotel! We have stayed at many hotels in the area but the service and rooms at Saint Sulpice were fantastic. We were upgraded on check in by the exceptional front reception staff. Our room was very clean, updated and spacious. There are many many restaurants, shops, spas, etc. just steps outside the door so location is superb. Staff working in and around the front lobby and in hotel restaurant were very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. 5 stars all the way around for this hotel!

Great place to stay in the middle of Old Montreal. Easy to walk to so many places. Stayed for four days and three nights. Perfect place to enjoy all the sights of the old port area. Staff was great. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Hope to return!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this hotel last week. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel was great. Our suite was spacious and cozy. The off-site gym was a nice addition. The only downside was the internet. It was often spotty and kept disconnecting but I didn't call the hotel about the issue as I am sure they'd have jumped quickly to fix it. Otherwise, we'd certainly come back again.

I really wanted to give all 5 stars when I first came inside. The location seemed perfect.—As of 2:07 Not getting any sleep because of the screaming, drunken crowd and lewd music playing right at the window. How dare you take any money for the stay… —-It is now 2:25am. The music is gone but the drunken crowd still owns the world. After reading some 1-star reviews I learned that the hotel offered someone who complained about the noise from the 2nd floor, “upper floors” “next time” because it’s quieter. Well They gave me the 1st floor knowing that I have a child with me. Such a shame. Now I feel even more disappointed. One more thing, the electric kettle had disgusting garbage at the bottom, completely dried up and not knowing that all my family boiled water with it and drank tea. Only to discovered this disgusting gunk after the fact and the stuff was all over the bottom. For how long? I have no idea.

This hotel is beautiful, and we had excellent experiences with staff and service. For those of you with scent sensitivities or allergies to synthetic fragrance, be forewarned: this hotel makes heavy use of air freshener spray in their housekeeping process, the common areas are heavily perfumed and the concierge told me they do circulate fragrance through their HVAC system.

I booked this hotel last minute and got a great deal. I got a whole suite with bedroom, living room, kitchenette etc. the bathroom has a bathtub and shower and there is also a nice view of the courtyard. It is right in the heart of old Montreal right next to the Basilica and only an eight minute walk to the convention center. The hotel is a tad on the older side but very well-maintained and nice. I would for sure stay here again when come back to Montreal. The staff were very nice at check in. Overall very pleased!

My family and I stayed here and had an excellent experience! We came to celebrate my graduation and were welcomed warmly every time we walked through the doors. Elena (Elayna?) and the whole team worked so hard to make this special occasion feel celebrated, and the room was extremely comfortable and beautiful.

A great experience! Beautiful location - close to great restaurants and cafes. The staff was very kind and helpful. The hotel bar had amazing cocktails and wonderful ambiance. We had a fantastic sleep in the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in and great coffee in the morning courtesy of the room's Nespresso machine. The level of cleanliness was superb as well. A great stay all around.

The great service you have come to expect (if you have been to Montreal more than once) combined with an amazing location. Staff were very cheerful and helpful, even when im trying to describe a certain baby toy I forgot to take out of the car for the valet to go down and find. Windows opened so wide i felt like the living room was a balcony. The ambiance created by the bustle of people on the street below coming in and out of the restaurants across the road reminded me of Europe. Great experience all around. We will be back.

This hotel has it all! Beautiful property with gorgeous details of historic stone walls blended in the decor. Convenient and delicious restaurant on site. Rooms outfitted with small kitchenette for a perfect stay with a small family. Near major attractions and close walk to the Metro. Welcoming staff that knows how to even make kids feel welcome and honored guests. We loved Saint Sulpice as our home base visiting this amazing city!

I rarely take the time to write reviews, but our stay here was so lovely (especially as compared to another, more expensive but truly meh hotel on another leg of our trip) I am inspired to share. The staff here is wonderful- friendly and kind - one of them even went to so far as to retrieve me a reusable tote (to keep!) when he saw me struggling with a paper grocery sack. The entire hotel is clean and well kept, and the restaurant is truly delicious- we had both breakfast and room service. Pleased to discover we had a mini-kitchen type setup in our suite, which helped greatly with hungry kids after a long day of sightseeing. The location can't be beat for access to the museums and historical points of interest in the city. Although this hotel feels very upscale, they were kind and accommodating to our family which includes small (and sometimes loud) children. 10/10 recommend!

The location is amazing right in the heart of the city by the promenade. The hotel staff are friendly and so willing to help with suggestions! Tristan in the front desk helped us plan our trip. Their is a rail station close by Place D' Arms just be aware to not walk to late its a little sketchy in that area .

Charming hotel on one of the oldest streets in old Montreal just next door to Notre Dame Basilica. I stayed here for business. In between meetings I was able to check out the basilica which was a real treat. The hotel rooms were nice and spacious with a living room area, beds are comfortable and there are enough plugs and mirrors. The hair dryer was missing a piece and my hair burnt right before one of my meetings. I smelt like burnt hair for a solid 24 hours but the hotel was kind enough to send some wine to ease the pain. I think my hairs worth a little more than the wine but the gesture was appreciated. I would recommend this hotel, it was beautiful but I would definitely bring your own hair dryer!

Pros: service and staff are great! So kind so accomodating. Really top notch Location is by notre dame and rue st paul where all the hustle and bustle is Smart tv, nespresso machine with unlimited pods When u book the suite u get fridge microwave all utensils pots pans plates etc Cons: for a 4 star hotel the room is a bit outdated and not very luxurious feeling. There was a layer of dust by our window…. When we requested the room service the hand towels in the bathroom werent even folded. Overall the room cleaning service was very very average. The pillow cases smelled musty/moisture like. The fridge lightbulb was not working. The coffee machine wasnt either so they kindly replaced it immediately. Parking 41 CAN $ but it is valet Breakfast not included I hope that helps!

Great Hotel, lovely rooms and location, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the front desk particularly good, Elena spent lots of time trying to resolve our airport transfer mix up, then ordered us a Taxi which came punctually and was a lifesaver to get our flight! Many Thanks to all the lovely staff and especially Elena on front desk who went above and beyond to help us.

Most of all friendly and welcoming staff. Secondly very well cleaned room and bathroom. The room was very spacious, complete kitchen with coffee machine, microwave oven, kettle, fridge. Nice decoration and style. Lastly wery nice location in Old Montreal. I had breakfast at the hotel restaurant and it was also very good.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of old town, but the highlight is the super friendly and helpful staff - Tristan, Manuel, and Paolo are especially awesome, but everyone is great. Dog-friendly, too. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay at this hotel! Ideal location to walk around beautiful sites, restaurants and shops. My husband and I travel with our small dog (because he’s our baby), and this a very friendly hotel for well behaved dogs. The service was great and food was tasty!

This was one of the best hotels that we have ever stayed in. Service was exceptional. Everyone was so friendly. My wife took a spill on our last day and we managed to get to the hotel quickly. Once there the staff couldn't have been more helpful. They got ice for her ankle and provided us with a wheelchair to use for the rest of our stay. Thank you to everyone that helped us. Highly recommend staying here for sure ☺️. We will definetley be staying here again on our next trip to Montreal. 🥰

I had an extended stay here and it was fantastic. The room was very spacious and comfortable, the location was very convenient for my meeting at the convention center, the restaurant was good, and the hotel staff was amazing. Every time I needed something, I received prompt and friendly service. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was a fantastic hotel where we stayed for 3 nights, with one exception. The location was perfect, and the service from the hotel staff was great. We were upgraded to a large room with a balcony which was a treat. The one negative was that our included breakfast was the worst we have ever experienced in a 4-star hotel. The problems are too many to list, but the major ones are diabolically slow service, multiple items on the menu not being available, cold food, and being charged for the free breakfast. Apparently, the restaurant is contracted out. The hotel staff are well aware of the problems and corrected the overcharge. However, my recommendation is to cancel the outsourcing and bring the restaurant in-house.

A lovely small hotel in a great location. We enjoyed our brief stay in a Queen suite while visiting Montreal. The location was just around the corner from the Basilica, and within a 10 minute walk to the Metro station and Chinatown.

This Hotel is not your typical luxurious but it’s a piece of a gem in the heart of the old city. Great rooms, spacious and clean. Safe and the staff is absolutely amazing. Tristan is wonderful at the front desk. Highly recommended and will come back!

Great experience at this hotel! We had a Girls' birthday weekend there, we were 7 people. Remi and Saynat were exceptional and ensured we had a great time. Breakfast was also delicious. Great location as well! The entire staff from, including the woman who cleaned our rooms, valet and waiters were amazing!

The staff at Le Saint-Suplice Hotel are beyond reproach. The rooms are unique, spacious, and spotless. You spill right out of the lobby into Old Town Montreal. Nearby are shops, cafes, restaurants, and nightlife. We’ve stayed a couple of times and cannot recommend this hotel enough for your Montreal adventures.

Great stay at the Saint-Sulpice hotel. Our family used a room with murphy bed and separate bedroom. Although the room is a little dated, everything else was great. Staff was amazing. Close to all the nice shops and restaurants of old Montreal. We will return in the summer.

I decided to spend Christmas this year in Montreal and stayed at the Le Saint-Sulpice. I was with my 7 year old son, my BFF, her husband 11 yr old son also joined. This boutique hotel was great! Location: The location is perfect, you are near restaurants, bars and shops, they're walking distance. The restaurants close to the hotel are all amazing. The restaurant inside the hotel is also great! Definitely check out Nelli across the street, its delicious! Rooms: The rooms were clean and spacious which is nice! Our room faced the back patio, which is closed in the winter, so we didn't have much of a view but whenever its open it must be very nice with all the lights etc. My BFF requested a KING size room and they were able to accommodate her, the room was big and had lots of space for a family. Hotel Service: Absolutely AMAZING! So accommodating and very kind. Everyone was so helpful and when my guest and I ran into any issues, they quickly handled it. Tristan from the front desk is an absolute joy! Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, even though its a little sad that Montreal seems a bit run down and is unfortunately very dirty, this hotel was the perfect escape to all of that. We will definitely return when its warmer out. Thank You!

Our 2nd time here and still love it. Location is its strongest asset.staff excellent. One disappointment was lack of a lobby bar which they had when we were here previously. Renovations of that area has taken away a bit of charm .Well meaning updating has made the area a bit pedestrian. Breakfasts were great but suffered a bit, probably due to difficulty getting enough help at Chtistmas.could also be we Amercans are into quick service rather than a leisurely meal.get the waffles!!!

While staff were very engaging and helpful - we paid over $2500 for 3 nights (July 26-27-28, 2022) in a terrace suite..room 601 does not have a terrace it has a balcony on the roof of the commercial mechanical system. you could not see anything or talk or hear anything over the commercial mechanical units with no view….make sure when booking a $700/night suite with a terrace suite you confirm it is a view over a mechanical cement and perhaps enjoy fresh air 👎🏿 not what was advertised ….when told at front desk they said they could not provide “views” of every rooms balcony 🤷‍♀️

Stayed one night for an anniversary. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast-in-a-box isn't really substantial (croissant, apple, piece of cheese, orange juice, and jam). Everything was clean but I wouldn't say the experience matched the price.

Absolutely beautiful! We only stayed one night and I wish it was longer! The staff was so friendly and helpful from the get go. A very warm and welcoming stay. The rooms are so classy and beautiful. Impeccably clean with a lovely marble bathroom and enclosed bedroom. I think I stayed in the deluxe suite with a balcony and view of the terrace! It definitely feels like Europe drinking espresso on the balcony in the morning lol. Very romantic if you’re travelling with a partner! The location is perfect for sight seeing old Montreal with a ton of fantastic restaurants nearby (I recommend Modavie!). I only wish we stayed longer!

This hotel was lovely, the atmosphere was great, the hotel was great, the staff were excellent. We decided to stay an extra day as we were in such a central locations. Concierge was extremely helpful with great recommendations of restaurants and venues. We definitely plan on staying here again in June!

Fantastic service. From the moment we walked in, to the moment where we had to do a panic drive back to it while calling as I'd forgotten jewelry on the bed. Beautiful suite, would be lovely in the summer when the balcony would be enjoyable!

Beautiful, large room and bathroom with bath and shower. Most of the staff really friendly however, when we went for a drink at the bar we were totally ignored by the 3 members of staff, ok, they might have been busy doing something, although there weren't many people in the restaurant, but surely they could have acknowledged us, very unprofessional. Overall, good hotel in a great location

Pleasant stay, situated nicely in Old Montreal. The staff was super friendly, nice and very polite. Bilingual (which was great!) However the breakfast was so so, we had to wait almost 15 minutes for a new coffee Thremo overall nice hotel, lots to do.

Purchased a stay for my parents’ anniversary, and while the hotel was apparently lovely, the front desk made a clerical error and made them check out a day early. My parents had paperwork showing the correct, paid reservation and they still kicked out two elderly people without even trying to investigate the clerical error. I am so disappointed, since this was meant to be a gift for them. I wish the hotel had taken the time to understand and correct their error before cutting my parents’ vacation short.

This was the best hotel experience I have had in Canada. The service was absolutely incredible. It was not just one person it was the same with every single staff member we dealt with. They just do the little things so well. we asked to have our car brought to the front door at 630 am and Manuel from the front desk personally pulled it up to the front and knocked on our door at 630 am on the dot to collect our luggage. The valet staff made us so welcome from the moment we parked the car. We were blown away instantly. Duy was so kind at check in and made us feel very good to be staying at this hotel. He upgraded our room as well. The manager should be very proud of his staff. I have stayed at hotels all over the world and really the service here stands out for me and makes you feel very good. We come to Montreal often and will only stay here.

  • 5/5 Chris H. 1 year ago on Google
Perfect setting, wonderful rooms, and the service was amazing. We checked late after a very long day of travel. The front desk staff gave our daughter coloring sheets and crayons to help her while we waited. They also helped us after our daughter didn't see a small set of stairs, took a tumble and hurt her ankle (she was fine after some ice and rest). We only stayed one night before heading east but wanted to stay longer and plan to go back.

Very good hotel in the heart of old Montreal. Excellent, friendly service. All of the employees were top notch. We had breakfast there every day. Food was delicious. We stayed here for three days and could not ask for anything more than what the employees provided. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
