Terrific small hotel in the heart of Old Montreal. The staff was very helpful and pleasant from the day we booked until we received a thank you email after our stay. They were also always available to every request. We were fortunate to meet the owner who was there to check on an improvement made to the sidewalk in front of his hotel. He could not have been nicer. We could see how the great customer service was instilled throughout this man’s business. Every employee we interacted with genuinely cared about our stay. Highly recommended!$$

Ok, so this is a tough review. I loved the hotel and staff AND location, BUT across the street is a club/bar that goes all night with the smokers doing their thing. Having a good time outside... It kept me up all night. Because it is an older building the windows do nothing for sound insulation. I would stay here again and request the other side of the building. Front desk staff was exceptional with recommendations.

We travelled to Montreal with family and stayed at this charming little hotel for two nights. The rooms were impeccably clean and the service was friendly. My favorite was the breakfast which was served in a basket to the rooms in the morning. The amount of high quality food was more than enough and we loved the idea that we could have breakfast in bed without ever leaving the room. The staff welcomed us with a glass of champagne when we checked in. I would highly recommend Hotel Boneparte to any travelers to Montreal.

Room and service were quite good. I’m sad to reduce the rating because we received a mouldy sandwich spread in our breakfast. Something to improve! Can be loud late at night (2-3am) as knuckleheads leave from the bar next door. Earplugs are provided. Mattress is very comfortable

More of a boutique hotel. We had a superior room top floor. Bed and duvet were amazingly comfortable. So close to cruise port that it is a short walk. Loved, loved, loved the staff including in the awesome restaurant that is part of the main floor. We will be back!

This is a beautiful hotel in the heart of Old Montreal. The manager checked us in and was very kind to us. They brought our breakfast up to the room during COVID-19, even had fresh cappuccinos ready. Our room was very cute and cozy. Location is unbeatable. Parking staff were very kind to us As well. Amazing service. Will be recommending this gorgeous, quaint hotel to many more people! We were so happy about the service!

I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. In a great area in the best part of old Montreal, it’s a perfect blend of historic and modern. Everything was spotless , my room is so quaint and comfortable with so many thoughtful touches. The breakfast baskets are left outside the door every morning and are a lovely start to the day.. a different pastry every day, yogurt, orange juice and fruit. So unique. The best thing is the staff, they are all so friendly, welcoming and helpful. I feel lucky to have found this gem

We booked this hotel partly because we were looking forward to the « Fabulous Breakfast Included » as per the description on booking dot com As of Sep 15, 2022, the restaurant is closed for breakfast and the breakfast delivered at the rooms between 7:00 and 8:00 is…pretty disappointing. See image of breakfast for two.

Amazing! Beautiful building, perfect location and wonderful staff. Jason and the lady (I can’t remember her name) who helped us as the front gave us 10/10 service and hospitality. Ask them about the continental breakfast - which is adorable! Great restaurant too!

Worst stay ever! Do not leave your Credit Card as a deposit there! They went through our trash and charged us for smoking in the room because they found an empty container. BEWARE! Call the Manger to have this resolved and she lied saying there was as smell in the room which there wasn't. My worst experience ever staying at a hotel.

Perfectly located. Easy walking distance to all is the bars, restaurants museums and other attractions I was looking for. Hotel is beautifully appointed and morning breakfast basket was a classy touch. Coming back here one day.

I had the recent experience of staying at this boutique hotel for one night. Overall I love the hotel style which shows history, the tall ceiling, breakfast including how it was delivered (placed in a metal basket and on the door knob). The room was immaculate. The day I was there wasn't a day there would be parties, and there seemed to be fewer tourists around the old town, therefore I didn't experience any loud noises. It was a good short stay for me.

It is all wonderfull, great location, very nice rooms, great service but i do have to say that even though i appreciate they take the breakfast to your room i prefer to have the option to go down and sit for breakfast and have more options to choose, personally i found the breakfast disapointing, just a little fruit, a tiny piece of sweet bread, a larger piece of bread and some juice

Nice hotel. Good size rooms. Convenient parking ($35). Great staff. Expect to wait for the elevator 10min each time in the morning as it is used by staff with priority. Breakfast: do not expect much. Individual cold boxes deli ered to room to room every morning. Restaurant not open in the morning so think of the fact that you need to walk a good 10m to eat something.

We could think of nothing to improve our experience at this hotel as everything was perfect. The room (at the back of the hotel) was quiet and overlooked the Notre Dame gardens. The breakfasts were always a pleasant surprise featuring foods we would never have ordered but we enjoyed them tremendously. The staff were always charming and helpful and the welcoming glass of prosecco at check in was lovely way to start our four night stay. Centrally located but out of the fray.

Excellent service. The tasting menu was wonderful. Notably the goat cheese, a dish I normally wouldn't go for, was exquisite. The mushroom ravioli was amazing. Perfect portions and spectacular array of flavours

Nice hotel - really good location. Some logistical issues, but got sorted out promptly. Attentive and welcoming. Room was fine, but on the small side. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was served at the door - wooden utensils vs. plastic. Nice touch.

From the moment we checked in until the moment we left, we were treated so well at the by all staff members. They were helpful and courteous. The rooms were nice with large modern bathrooms and comfy beds. For being in a city and being on the street, it was surprisingly quiet. Delicious continental breakfast to get us going in the morning. Would definitely stay again next time we come to Montreal

Had terrace room overlooking cathedral and Montreal night sky. Rooms at back probably quieter than street side. Good location. Great restaurant opposite. Breakfast a little odd - nice idea, little basket delivered to room, but some contents a bit odd eg egg mayo wraps... be better if they stuck to something like a plain croissant - fruit, yoghurt, great juice.

Love it. Great location nice rooms friendly people. Just a couple of suggestions. They bring you the breakfast in the morning and leave it outside. I suggest to knock to let us know the food has arrived. I also suggest to be able to choose breakfast, between a couple of options to avoid waste

Great boutique hotel that made us feel pampered for from the moment we checked in. Welcome champagne, spacious rooms, unbelievable rain shower, softest towels, robes, even delicious breakfast delivered. Great central location too.

Not as advertised or shown in pictures. Didn't feel the comfort as expected 😕. We were looking forward to stay there for longer but had to check in to another hotel with better and convenient facilities for competitive pricing offered by Bonaparte. Nothing personal but sorry we didn't enjoy there at all.

Everything about this place is GREAT! Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Great location. The restaurant is amazing. George, Gi, Max all super people who seem to enjoy what they do. Will return!

I highly recommended this wonderful small hotel in the heart of Old Montreal. It was our 3 days trip to Montreal with my husband on my birthday. And it was great from the moment we checked in until the moment we left, we were treated so well at the by all staff members. We so appreciate it! Would definitely stay again next time we come to Montreal!

Best location in downtown Montreal! Beautiful, spacious, immaculately maintained rooms with separate makeup area outside the large modern bathroom. Wonderful beds. Hot breakfast delivered right to your room, and helpful friendly staff. Top notch!

Great boutique hotel. At the moment, rooms are sanitized and quarantined 48 hours between guests. Breakfast is delivered to your room. The bed was a literal dream. Would love to return!

This is a lovely old world French hotel. High ceilings, exposed brick, gleaming hardwood floors. HUGE windows. Comfy beds & linens. The bathroom is generous with both a soaking tub and shower. Two sinks, one outside the bathroom-nice extra. It is very quite while being centrally located. About a 8-15 minute walk to McGill Street. Viex Port, Viex Montreal, Place d'Armes, Notre-Dame Basilica, Montreal Science Centre and more. The staff is friendly and quite helpful. The concierge is top notch! A full breakfast is included-you chose 3 courses off a menu including-fresh fruit juice, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, fresh fruit salad (great & freshly made with mango, pineapple, grapes, apples, etc), yogurt (would have been MUCH better if poured out of the carton), fresh bread, muffins and croissants (but of course!). The main dish was crepes, French toast, eggs with sausage and bacon or a choice of several omelets. Everything was very nice & a great way to begin the day. Dinner is served here as well and looks delicious (too fancy for our kid sadly plus we wanted to explore outside the hotel but definitely a convenient option). The photos on the website are exactly what you get-good to know. Parking is off site (a block & a half away on the same street in an open lot. Looks a bit sketchy but we have not had any issues during our stays (🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻) We have stayed at Hotel Bonaparte several times and it is THE ONLY place we will stay in Montreal.

Excellent Hotel Staff. Right in the heart of Old Montreal....walking distance to many tourist attractions. Parking is only $35 dollars per night....in and out privileges....parking lot is only a few steps away from front the door. Beautiful Coble stone roads and unbelievable architecture....this Hotel was built in 1866. ♥️

Very courteous and friendly staff. Incredible vibe and work ethic. It is a very well run business. Our suitcase was delayed and what ever we needed they seemed to have. They even had peppermint tea when my wife was experiencing some stomach which helped a lot. The one day it was raining the hotel even provided us with an umbrella. The most comfortable hotel beds I have ever slept on. The bathrooms have been recently renovated with a modern chic look. The breakfast is tastefully delivered. Every morning it is delivered in a dainty basket that is hung on an ornate golden fixture next to your door so you can bring it inside your room at your own discretion not to mention it is complimentary. There is just the right amount of variance in the food items every morning while still sticking to a basic script and it is always fresh. The building is well run and in a well preserved historical neighbourhood with the finest dining readily available. Considering the historic beauty this is an incredibly fair priced hotel. The famous basilica is right around the corner we were never hard pressed to find something to do within walking distance from the hotel wether day or night. This is a fantastic place to stay.

My husband and I absolutely loved staying here and the breakfast was awesome (plus vegan)! This hotel was the perfect blend of old charm and modern comfort. The location and customer service were unmatched.

A decent but expensive stay. Breakfast is offered but dont expect anything beyond reheated crepes, an apple and processed cheese. The hotel room itself was adequate but outdated, with wall light shades broken, terrible in room coffee selection/quality. Wouldn't recommend this one.

Absolutely stellar boutique hotel in the heart of Montreal's old town. Staff was super friendly and very professional making us feel especially welcome during our stay. Our stay was during the C19 era, so we were impressed with their cleaning processes and procedures. We felt 100% safe with their choices and frankly, it felt almost 100% normal. They switched to room service breakfast each morning which was lovely. The lattes made to order were an extra special treat. Without a doubt, this is our new go-to when staying in Montreal. Well done!

I had the great pleasure of dining at Restaurant Bonaparte with my mom last week. We were both incredibly impressed with our delicious meals, the charming atmosphere, and the wonderful staff. I will certainly be returning on my next visit to Montreal.

This was a lovely place! I was in Montreal for a few days on business and chose Hotel Bonaparte because it’s close to the science centre where I had my trade show. Staff: First, the staff is an absolute gem! Every single staff member with whom I spoke over the four nights I was there was so kind, hospitable and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable. I had to extend my stay by a day and the process was smooth. Even though I had to switch rooms, they made sure to minimize my inconvenience. Room: The rooms are so comfortable. I wish there was carpet flooring but that’s not an issue. The bed and the pillows and the bath robe, just perfect. I really wish I could take the pillows and bathrobe home with me! Breakfast: The breakfast basket is cute! I don’t eat carbs but was happy to see yoghurt, fruit and juice as an option. It’s a continental breakfast they bring to your room. Parking: My only issue was that parking was not included. You have to park at Indigo down the street and it’s $25 a night. It would be nice if they offered a deal for hotel guests. Otherwise a perfect stay! Thank you for accommodating me!

We had an amazing long weekend here. Montreal is an amazing city and this was a great central location to make homebase! The room was perfectly appointed and had too many thoughtful little touches to be listed and counted. The continental breakfast delivered every morning on the hook outside your door was a wonderful amenity. The hotel staff was friendly and very quick to answer any questions.

We had an outstanding experience staying at the Bonaparte. We were welcomed at the front desk by Jason who was friendly and helpful. His willingness to help us with a dinner reservation, hotel information and visit recommendations made our trip! The room was clean and comfortable. We had a terrace which was wonderful. The shower was the best! Everyone was helpful and kind.

Parking was my only let down. Everything else was great. Within walking distance of everything. Dinner at the restaurant onsite was great. Make a reservation.

The Hotel Bonaparte is lovely! We had assistance from multiple people and everyone who works here is so kind and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and we appreciated having breakfast delivered to our door. The view was fantastic too - we stayed in room 601.

Amazing food and amazing service. We opted for the tasting menu which consisted of a variety of different foods, from fish to duck. Each course was presented uniquely with its own flavours. The dessert was so yummy as well. The bread here they provide complementary and they were some good bread. I appreciate that our server did not hesitate to keep it refilled! Can't complain about the wine selection! Highly recommend this elegant spot!

Wonderfully accommodating staff - they really went out of their way to make my family's and I's stay as lovely as possible. Felt like a true guest there (not just another person walking through the door). Breakfast baskets were adorable and yummy. The rooms were very nice. Excellent access to the waterfront. Would stay again 😊

Stayed twice in the past week at the hotel and I must say I was impressed by it. It’s an old building- 152 years old, located in the middle of old Montreal so the location is perfect. The hotel itself is beautiful and as an old boutique hotel the rooms are pretty small but have so much character to them, they are beautiful and really comfortable and the bed was great. You should know there is a club in front of the hotel so if noise is an issue for you make sure to choose a room that faces the back. The team at the front desk are really helpful and nice, each one of them was great, sheared recommendations and helped. This hotel is highly recommended 💪🏻

cozy hotel, room was clean and neat which is what it matters the same as the bathroom. We couldn’t have dinner at the restaurant of the hotel because it was full but there are plenty of restaurants around within walking distance. The same as with the parking
