Beautiful room. Great air conditioning. Amazing breakfast (the best croissant I've ever had). The staff are all wonderful, especially Carole who checked me in and was serving breakfast the next day.

Beautiful property managed by very friendly and helpful staff! The complementary breakfast is delicious. Restaurants and Museums etc are at walking distance from this hotel, so one can plan their day and rest of the meals easily.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Manoir Sherbrooke! It is a historic mansion with all of the character but remodeled enough to be very comfortable. The public space as well as our room was well maintained and very clean. We had a room on the first floor towards the back and is was spacious and quiet. So many positives including the amazing continental breakfast; the helpful and friendly staff; and the central location for walking and taking the metro which was also close to many restaurants. We were very satisfied with our three night stay here!

The best part is the staff. The lady greeting us during breakfast has been absolutely lovely! She has been polite, respectful, and consistent throughout our 5-day stay. Frederick recommended us some delicious local restaurants, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you management and staff for your professionalism and commitment to hospitality!

My mom and I just stayed here(Dec 2023) and we adored this place. The service was top notch and everyone was so genuine and friendly. The breakfast included boiled eggs, breads/spreads, cheese, pastries, yogurt, fruit, toppings for yogurt, coffee and teas. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom and shower was small but nice. I especially loved the shower. The pressure was great and water temp was perfect. I would stay here again and I will always recommend this place. Not to mention, the atmosphere is beautiful and the building has a lot of character. (The snow picture is from our hotel room window) We always felt safe at this location.

The room was clean and very comfortable but it was a little noisy during the morning time. We had a wonderful experience at Hotel Manoir Sherbrooke. The staff at this property are all great. Amazing building. If you like to staying in the old place with amazing architecture, this hotel is the best choice in Montreal. Took advantage of the downtown location to walk to dinner and explore downtown.

The staff was lovely and very helpful and I liked the hotel itself. The biggest problem was the cleanliness of the rooms. Sheets were smudgy, floor needed mopping, everything looked old and worn-out. The breakfast was minimalist but delicious.

A great little find, centrally located, with comfortable rooms and lovely staff. You get a real feel that staff are genuinely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast has a good range of continental type fare and the coffee and free orange juice are excellent quality. Lots of period charm. No lifts and you need a reasonable level of fitness if on the second floor. Loved it and would definitely return. (Which we are as we are off to Quebec for three nights and then back here for two nights).

It's a lovely old charm hotel, central located within walking distance to main attractions as well as to many restaurants. Good simple breakfast, free coffee during the day and night. Outdoor area where you can enjoy drinking coffee with a cigarette. Friendly staff, trying to make your staying more comfortable. Just one thing what bothering me: the bedding...to poor quality

We LOVED our stay--extremely comfortable temperature in the room, bedding, shower. Best possible location for walking & exploring--central to everything. Charming Victorian with hand-carved wood. Wine by the glass. Generous, though not particularly delicious, breakfast.

This is our first time staying at this hotel and we will definitely be back! We were greeted by the lovely, charming owner who held our bags while we explored the city and waited for our room to be ready. We must have lucked out for our first night on our ten day Quebec trip. We had impeccable service from the time we arrived, after taking the red eye from Vancouver, to having the best continental breakfast to this morning (on our day of checkout) when I came to the dining area and discovered that, sadly, I was late for breakfast and I was immediately brought out two fabulous croissants with butter, jam and cream cheese. ALL of the staff were extremely kind and courteous helpful. My partner even overheard the owner speaking to one of the staff with kindness and grace over what he assumed was a short staffing issue. The hotel is very clean and I love the charm and character of the old mansion. We absolutely love it here.

The hotel is unexpected good. The location is unbeatable, 9 minutes walking to bus station to Qubece city, and Old Port Montreal and gay village both are walkable. The room is old, but maintained very well and pretty clean. The staffs are very friendly and have passion in managing the hotel. Moreover, the room rate including breakfast which is simple and yummy, the lady and the gentleman who warmly serve the breakfast are super nice, even the pastries are warm on the table. Looking forward to stay here again next year summer.

The hotel is lovely. The ambience, the rooms… it’s beautiful and cozy, and impeccably clean. I liked the breakfast that had a variety of breads, jams, and others. But the most pleasant thing of all was their people. They are so nice and helpful, they make you feel home. I would love to come back to the Manoir, thank you for a lovely stay!

My partner and I stayed here on a nice little trip to Montreal. The place is gorgeous and the staff are so friendly and nice. We had the pleasure of being shown to our room by Wally. He was such a gentleman and carried our bags up the stairs for us. The location is walking distance to downtown and very close to the Subway. Our whole experience there was great and we highly recommend staying there.

Loved my stay at the Hotel. Staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Best of all was the saloon where you could help yourself to coffee and tea whenever you wanted. Older style building with many stairs, but it had great charm and you are made to feel at home. Would happily stay there again

Such an incredible hotel. The location is absolutely perfect, walking distance easily to the Old Port, Chinatown, Mile End, Plateau, Mount Royal. Multiple metro stops very close by, it's surrounded by great cafes, restaurants, parks. All of it. The hotel itself is beautiful, so much character and the staff are really great. Helpful and kind! Highly recommend, no matter what you are hoping to see/do in Montreal, this hotel is perfectly situated for anything you need or want!

If you are seeking a convenient place to stay in Montreal which is within walking distance of the downtown core, look no further. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast sits well and doesn't slow you down, and the room was clean and offered modern convenience despite the 1800s construction. There is always a concierge at the desk and there is coffee and water available at all hours. I would return here if I were to visit again.

Really pleased about my stay here - excellent value for a charming stay located within walking distance to everything I needed, from my concert to the rehearsal venue to lots of great shops and restaurants. Very good temperature control in the rooms as well - I actually had to leave my previously booked hotel because it was too hot, and was extremely grateful that there was availability at Manoir Sherbrooke. The breakfast was a nice added touch. Exceptionally friendly and wonderful staff - we were able to stay in the lounge area as we waited for late night flights, and keep our luggage there during the last day. Will definitely book again for my next stay in Montreal!

I was in Montreal for a conference. I stayed in this charming hotel in a single room. The hotel is made up of several consecutive buildings at the edge of a residential area and close to uqam and many restaurants. It is also not far from a metro station. Because it is in a group of residential buildings, each room is different, and the atmosphere is European. The staff was extremely friendly and I had a nice conversation with the owner. Breakfast was simple but excellent, with a nice collection of artisan breads. I very much enjoyed my stay! Next time, I'll come for pleasure.

We just spent 9 nights at Hotel Manoir Sherbrooke and we couldn't be more pleased with our stay. Although the hotel is centrally located on a well-traveled street, our room was extremely quiet and we all slept well every night. We never heard street noises or our neighbors, and the room was adequately dark. Housekeeping was only a request away, ice is easily available, and the breakfast was ample and gracious. The location of the hotel was ideal due to its proximity to restaurants and sites we wanted to see. However, after walking a lot more than is typical at home, my partner's achilles tendonitis started acting up. It was then that we fully appreciated how close to two key bus stops (Sherbrooke e/w and St. Laurent n/s) this hotel is! It's also only a couple of blocks to the Sherbrooke metro station (orange line), and 5 blocks from the St. Laurent (green line) station. If you are traveling with children, don't count this place out. We had a half-basement room and were so grateful not to have to worry too much that our kid was stomping around on someone's ceiling. Also, the hotel is within easy walking distance of at least 3 playgrounds. I told my husband that if we visited Montreal again, it would be tempting to stay elsewhere in town to get a better feel of another neighborhood, but I cannot imagine where we might stay that would compare to Hotel Manoir Sherbrooke!

A five minute walk away from the nearest metro station! Nice building and very friendly staff who speak both French and English. Stayed for four nights and will consider this hotel again on my next trip to Montreal. 👍

Through no fault of my own, my flight into Montreal was cancelled. I notified the hotel right away. I asked for understanding and a refund due to the circumstances and so did Expedia on my behalf. The hotel refused to issue a refund after it was impossible for me to come, not even a portion.

For our vacation from back west British Columbia for 3 nights, we booked the place with some hesitation in mind and when the very first day we checked in , we realized that it’s one of a kind property - unique, exquisite, classic and having huge aesthetic character of old world charm, far away from the made up present day modernity and its pretensions. Staff are extremely homely and friendly, as if your own family! From the front desk to the breakfast providers - everyone is very courteous, very kind, very polite and very friendly! Exceptionally good is Carole who is just like your family and takes care of you very well while serving breakfast! Place is amazingly beautiful. Check out the pictures here. If you want some unique out of the world experience, please book your stay here! You will highly thank you!

This is a historic hotel in a great location. Super staff and a very nice breakfast with awesome coffee. The rooms are typical of older hotels but the place is clean, the beds are great and there is lots of space. We loved the European charm and would easily return.

Had a mini vacation as we wanted to be near downtown for a show. Good stuff: - Great location, close to lots of different places. Close to transit. - Incredibly nice, good service and stay was very comfortable and nice. - Rooms were very clean, and comfortable Bad stuff: - found a lot of sound leaked thru the doors, wish there was a but more soundproofing or gap fillers - no screen on window, so if you need to open the window, bugs or other things could come in

One of the best hotels I have stayed at around the world. The friendliest genuine staff , cleanest rooms, convenient check in and check out times and perfect location. Thank you so much 😊 We will be back. This place is a true hidden gem.

What a warm and inviting historic hotel. Easy to get to from the airport; just hop on the 747 bus, get off at the Saint-Laurent stop, and from there it’s a twelve minute walk. Convenient access to several Metro stations with plenty of fun shops and restaurants within walking distance. I especially enjoyed sitting in the cozy and quiet parlor, with its antique furniture and fire place. My husband and I actually looked forward to their breakfast each morning: delicious yogurt with a variety of fruit, granola, chia seeds; an assortment of pastries, breads, and jams; and orange juice and coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed our conversations with a lovely woman named Carol who works there. She told us about the interesting history of the hotel and the three of us recounted travel stories together. Everyone who works at Hotel Manoir Sherbrooke are so nice. Merci beaucoup!

Quaint hotel not too far to walk from the main bus terminal. Our checkin was excellent and the manager was friendly and helpful. We appreciated the complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate in the dining room. Very good breakfast buffet and friendly staff 10/10. The room was old and very outdated. Old windows allowed a lot of street noise. Bathroom squeaky door should be oiled. Shower water took a while to heat, so make sure you turn on the hot water before you get into the shower. The shower head and taps should be replaced and updated with modern fittings. The original shower fittings must be 20-30+ years old. Also basic furnishings like a decent bedside table and lamp would have been useful. 145 for a night was high for such basic and outdated bedroom decor, fittings and furnishings. We had 2 deluxe rooms ,4 adults. Very clean public areas and rooms. Owner was working the front desk when we checked out which ive never seen before in larger hotels. Beautiful building with wonderful century architecture. We will stay here again over a large chain hotel.

Absolutely loved the staff. We stayed for three nights. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Gave great suggestions and answered questions. The rooms are well kept and comfortable. Coffee/tea and the front desk are available 24/7. The hotel is beautiful, not far from metro stations and bus stops. 24 minute walk to the old Montreal. We will be back.

This place is beautiful! Third place we’ve stayed in Montreal. Stayed in dozens and dozens of hotels. Wish this place was in every city we travel to! Staff are super friendly, helpful and nice!!! Room 216 is awesome 🤩! Jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Room is prestigious! Number one place to stay, really!

The building is old, and has a very unique charm. The room was clean and cozy. The service was the best part of my experience at Hotel Manoir Sherbrooke. Everyone I interacted with was very helpful and kind.

Lovely place with a lovely breakfast. Had one toilet issue and they fixed it right away. We got in late at night and the night staff was so friendly showed us around and asked us if we needed any help. Breakfast here is the best I’ve ever had in a hotel. They also give you bottle water and tea and coffee for free. Which is a plus! Air conditioning made it cold in the room. If you stay here and aren’t from the city bring ear plugs it’s busy outside. But it’s very close to everything such a short walk from the station. Definitely enjoyed my time!

My cousin and I stayed two nights at this lovely boutique hotel. It was exquisite. The owner greeted us warmly and oriented us to the place. Great attention to detail in every respect. Our room and the whole place was clean and lovely. Bed and pillows felt like home. Very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Renovated nicely. The continental breakfast was high quality with wide variety of choices and the freshest croissants, breads and jams. They even had a vending machine where you could get wine by the glass at a good price and less expensive at happy hour. Decent choice of whites and reds. Another nice touch was a patio area in the front garden where one could sit in the evening to have an apéritif and snacks. Location was excellent. Quiet area so you can sleep well at night but also 15 min walk to old Montreal and the main sites including the jazz festival and shopping. Will definitely stay here again next time I am in Montreal. I loved my stay here. It's quiet, clean and beautiful. The bed was comfy as well. It has a lot of character compared to the major chain hotels. I chose this hotel because Of its location. Walking distance for many sights and cute cafes. The staff was friendly and helpful. I had a few bags that were really heavy and they carried it up the stairs for me. I was grateful for that. I already booked my stay for next year.

Easy hotel to get to, 15-20 min walk to downtown. We got lucky and got one of the parking spots at the hotel. Room was great, the AC wasn't working too well, but that wasn't a big deal. Staff were friendly and breakfast was good. Definitely will stay again next time we are in Montreal!

Staying at Manoir Sherbrooke felt like stepping into a different time! As someone with a passion for history, I really enjoyed waking up here every morning, and all of the staff made me feel at home. Excellent location, most tourist attractions are no more than a 30 min walk away, with lots of great restaurants nearby as well. Super safe area. And the wine vending machine is something else!

Beautiful property, amazing staff. The continental breakfast is the best I've had compared to many places and the rates were very fair. We enjoyed sitting out front and sipping wine in the beautiful front yard overlooking Sherbrooke ave.

I stayed here with a friend, as two young teenagers we felt very safe. We were greeted by a lovely gentlemen who carried all of our suitcases up the stairs to our rooms. The room was excellent, aesthetically pleasing and most importantly clean. Breakfast was great with many choices of food and drink available. Checking in/out was smooth, the receptionist let us weigh our cases and actually held them after we checked out so we could go out without them before travelling home later. Overall, the staff were very friendly and helpful I really enjoyed myself, thanks.

We had a wonderful stay here. My partner and I found the room very comfortable, pretty, and clean, and the location of the hotel can’t be beat. Other highlights were the absolutely lovely staff, the cozy common room where one can enjoy a drink or snack during the day (there are free hot drinks available as well as a wine serving machine), and of course the free breakfast - SO delicious!! We’re looking forward to staying here again the next time we visit Montreal. Thank you Hotel Manoir Sherbrooke ❤️

My trip to Montreal was to attend the Osheaga music festival (my first and last time I'll be attending). In my previous vacations in Montreal I would either walk past or drive by Hotel Manoir and admired the exterior. I stayed for 4 days and had a good night's rest, one thing however is the curtains, they didn't quite cover the entire window across from the bed some light would shine through around the edges, minor but I'd thought I'd mention it. I recommend this hotel the rooms were spotless service was great, if you have some mobility issues, the hotel doesn't have an elevator.

a great little hotel with one or two small flaws. it's more like staying at a families private home. really cozy. incredibly nice staff the only downsides are that the street outside is really loud at night and the tight steep stairs for elderly people maybe.

  • 5/5 Cory C. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely fantastic experience. We lucked out as it was one of the closest hotels to the venue we were attending. 10mins walking from the bus station. Lots of restaurants around. Continental breakfast in the morning was fantastic and the staff even better. I will never be staying anywhere else when I return and can't wait to come back to this "great find" in Montreal. Would/will definitely recommend to friends and family

Very pleasant stay here! Rooms are stylish and clean. Staffs are super friendly and arrange things for us properly. The location is close to all the tourism spots. Another thing that worth mentioning is the breakfast they provide: delicious, local, fresh and tasty! We will definitely come back again!
