I found this place by googling “quiet cafe in Montreal” and this place was so peaceful! It was a great place to work & study as well as to meet people. I tried the matcha latte and it was really good! They have many varieties of drink and food and you should give it a try!!

Mouthwatering and delicious brunch options! We were three days in a row and each day the food was absolutely amazing! I ordered the breakfast Danish and I wish I could have it more often now that I'm home. The staff was so nice and the inside of the restaurant was cozy and warm. Highly recommend stopping in for a bite if you are in the area!

Cozy Cafe with ample seating and small pantry section. Service is super friendly and their baked good are delicious! The iced coffee was a little dissapointing, relatively weak and didn't have much flavor, but I'd definitely give it another try. Great spot to work or relax!

Their own coffees and granola help make my breakfast stop at La Finca always amazing. The yogurt granola bowl is whipped cream yogurt with a layer of delicious house made granola. My family love the bagel sandwiches, we always leave pleased. Amazing cappuccinos.

Loved everything about the food here! Got the yogurt & granola as well as the breakfast danish to split and both were delicious (their granola is worth buying from them on its own!). I especially loved the breakfast danish and will be going back!

Awesome little Cafe with great food. Did brunch and I ordered the printemps brunch and a croissant, my boyfriend got the special which was a pizza. We also each got a coffee, Cortado and americano. Coffee was delicious! Pizza was super fresh - delicious sauce and cheese. Some type of artisinal pork sausage also as a topping. The eggs were poached in mine - to perfection. Had green peas, some type of sauce, home fries. Super filling and such a great portion! Atmosphere was nice we sat outside in the back. A bit cold without sun early afternoon. Check it out! Very yummy food and coffee.

My kind of place!! Airy, bright, chill and great coffee. Staff is super nice. Try to arrive before 9 if you want to make sure to grab a seat in the morning rush. Small outdoor space but the door is open and the fan is on so there is great circulation also indoors.

This is a fantastic choice for breakfast with many options and cozy seating. The interior is bright and kind of urban style with a small shop directly integrated. On the back, there's a small outdoor seating area. Their chocolatines are fantastic and their coffee is good too. I've been there several times while I visited Montreal as it was just the best breakfast option around.

Amazing croissants, the frittata is so good too. Coffee was decent. Staff was super courteous and friendly. There is a tiny patio at the back. Ample seating inside.

Recently visited la Finca and was utterly charmed. The coffee was nothing short of excellent, striking the perfect balance of robust flavors and smoothness. As for the food, the frittata was a delightful surprise – beautifully cooked with a rich, savory taste that left me craving more. It's a cozy spot that's definitely worth checking out for anyone in search of great coffee and a tasty bite.

I enjoyed coffee + brunch. For me, as a traveller, this place was a great place to refresh and start sightseeing in Montréal city in the morning. Coffee flavor was quite nice. I would Iove to visit again when I visit Montréal again.

The food was so good here we visited 3 times for breakfast during our 4 day trip. The coffee solid and the maple latte was delicious. The back patio was perfect for a warm day to sit and lounge with a drink and a bite to eat. The BLT was top notch: perfectly cooked bacon with fresh tomato and a finely diced cabbage topped by a house sauce that I almost wished I could drink, all encased within a pristinely toasted sesame seed bagel. The frittata was perfectly soft, topped with a healthy portion of goat cheese (depending on the day!) and a delicious glaze. This was a perfect breakfast spot to start our days traveling the city.

The coffee is excellent. The options for vegans/vegetarians are very limited and it's been more than once that they are out of them. I really enjoy the vibe of the coffeshop and their green smoothie is just amazing 🤤

One of the best cortados I've had! That grilled cheese...damn that grilled cheese! Sooo good!! Should be specified that it has mushrooms in it though (I really enjoyed it but I know that mushrooms are usually either a love em or hate em kind of thing)...maybe it wasn't mushrooms though...whatever it was it was good! Very nice place to boot, cute and charming!

Long line up already first thing first morning, this time, I tried Matcha Latte (never try never know how good it was) and Vegetarian Quiche both are so delicious 😋 and very nice presentation. Staff are friendly. Not sure if they have an English menu but they are very nice explain/describe the food menu to me since I don't read french, sorry :) Definitely will drop by again before I leave Montreal and will post more photos. Veggie Sensei always drops by La Finca café & marché local whenever in Montreal, and gives them a thumbs up 👍 and they never makes me disappointed!!

Delicious coffee & food, friendly & efficient people! Visited Montreal with family and stayed at Marriott Downtown for 2 nights. So happy that this top-rated place is just a minute walk from our hotel. We ate at the place during our 1st morning there. Bright, happy place. Sad that there were no croissant anymore but it was already 11am so it was ok. Also, based on the reviews & long line, it’s obvious that food solds out here often. Espresso, tacos & breakfast Danish were all really good! 2nd morning, I decided to go as soon as they open at 8. Yay, I was able to get plain croissant & chocolate croissant! Ordered to-go this time - cappuccino, breakfast Danish, croissant, brownie & lemon bar. Everything was so good! Cashier informed me that there’s a 5- minute wait for the Danish. It did came on time.

I recently visited La Finca in Montreal and had an amazing experience! The cozy vibe creates a perfect atmosphere for brunch and lunch. The frittata was a standout dish, and I highly recommend it. The coffee was exceptionally good, adding an extra delight to the meal. The service was both friendly and efficient, contributing to an overall enjoyable visit. The price point was fair considering the quality of the food. A fantastic neighborhood spot deserving of five stars!

The service was amazing, staff were super friendly and helpful. It was obvious we were tourists but were still treated great. Was a cute little shop, a bit of tight quarters but cute. We enjoyed the drinks we got (chai latte, latte) however the food was insanely overpriced and had no taste. We each ordered the breakfast danish which is an essentially an egg and slice of tomato in some small, super dry puff pastry with no flavour. We ended up spending over $40 and had to go home and eat our leftovers from dinner the night before (which was cheaper than breakfast here). Don't go and expect to have a filling breakfast. Or money left over for anything else. But the staff were great!

Loved my coffee the first time I came here but didn’t like it as much the following times. That being said, really cute and cozy cafe that’s very laptop friendly!

  • 5/5 Saakshi C. 2 years ago on Google
Probably the best cappuccino I’ve had in Montreal. The consistency and the smoothness were perfect — the right balance of strong/bitter and sweet, with the perfect latte art too! Loved their selection of bakery items as well. It has a really nice and bright vibe to it with large windows, making it a great cafe to work out of.

  • 5/5 Mark C. 2 years ago on Google
It’s one thing to chance by a cute coffee shop with a good selection of things, it’s another to run into a great coffee shop like La Finca. We started with their amazing mango financiers paired with delicious cappuccinos. Then we had their amazing umami-bomb grilled cheese and champignon sandwiches. While they had quite a line of patrons for a Sunday morning, they didn’t break a sweat and moved through the line very quickly. This place is an absolute must-try for tourists and locals alike.

Despite not being a full on breakfast restaurant I really like this cafe. Purchased a cappuccino, breakfast danish and pastry - all are home runs.

We stayed at a hotel around the corner, ended up coming 5 times (every morning). Best flat white, also really enjoyed the americano, BLT bagel and grilled cheese with mushrooms sandwich! Lovely atmosphere and small outside patio.

  • 4/5 John K. 1 year ago on Google
Really cool little cafe in the heart of the city. They have fair trade coffee and do beautiful latte art. They also have a good selection of tasty pastries. They have a nice outdoor patio space in the back that abuts into a couple parking stalls in the back alley but is separated visually by a fence. And gate. It's a very eclectic space in the city.

  • 3/5 Elisa K. 2 years ago on Google
Cute little cafe but we didn’t have the best experience. The chai latte and London fog were disappointing, it’s just warm milk and no tea flavour. The breakfast danish was really good and highly recommend it. They also forgot the croissant we ordered and had run out so we didn’t get to have it even though it was paid for.

La Finca is a cozy, airy coffee shop and coworking space located in downtown Montreal. Everything is homemade and flavourful and the staff is sweet. The only downside is that it’s always crowded with people studying or working so sometimes you might not find a comfortable spot where to sit. I suggest visiting early in the morning.

  • 4/5 zeena k. 2 years ago on Google
Cute cafe with a hippy feel. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We got a macchiato (Italian style) and an iced latte. They were both good. Also the barista we had was very skilled in latte art, defiantly Instagram worthy!

  • 5/5 Andrew H. 1 year ago on Google
This place hit the spot, it was exactly what I felt for this morning. I had a bagel BLT and a chai latte and both were superb. The interior is quite bright and cozy, I almost didn't want to leave after I was done eating. I'll definitely be coming back.

Came here for breakfast on a whim and I’m so glad I decided to! The staff are very kind and patient, and are fluent in English which is helpful. The macchiato and latte are both delicious, and the Danoise Déjeuner was incredible. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming as well. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast, and for an amazing start to my day!

  • 5/5 Craig S. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely incredible. Starting with the atmosphere which makes you feel like you are in a cafe in Europe. To the food, I’m trying to reduce the amount of carbs I eat but it is just too good to pass up on freshly baked croissants and other tasty treats. Finally to the coffee you can tell they take real pride in being the best, they even sell classic coffee drip products.

Simple coffee and pastry. But Simply Awesome. Sometimes when you focus on the little things, it pays off. Great coffee and a great pastry. We will be back! The team that took care of us while we were there also, were Awesome. Keep it up.

Fabulous coffee! Got the hummus platter (wedges of toasted naan, a heap of hummus, chunks of beets, almond slivers, and carrots in the hummus), which was yummy and filling. Designated spaces at the bench for those of us with laptops, which were slightly cramped, but understandable. Beautiful, well lit space with nice staff and cute local bits and seemingly a cheery customer base. I’ll be back!

A hip(ster?) cafe with actually good coffee. Absolutely lovely staff and stellar service, despite me ordering a chemex on a marginally busy day. Highly recommend the yoghurt and granola, because I was recommended (but didn’t try) it. I heard it’s homemade. Can’t confirm though because I didn’t make it. Wonderful experience. 10/5.

Amazing coffee and cozy atmosphere! The staff here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The flat white is expertly crafted, with a beautiful latte art design on top. The espresso and milk are perfectly integrated, creating a delicious and smooth flavor that will satisfy any coffee lover's cravings. Definitely one of the best cups of coffee I've had in Montreal.

We were in Montreal for a few days and my search for a coffee shop with baked goodness led me to this place near downtown. And wow - am I good at making choices ? Hell yes I am. This is a quaint little place serving brilliant coffee and baked goodness in the mornings. We gorged on chocolate croissant, macchiato and something made of chocolate, flour and hazelnut which was to die for. I don’t remember what is it called and did not see it listed on the menu but I saw it on the shelf and instantly decided to have it. I am posting some pictures so next time you can ask for it. It was heavenly delicious and it went well with macchiato. Only blip was long queue (not managements fault) so I would have to stand in queue again for my 2nd serving. So i over ordered and bought 2 macchiatos and multiple baked items. Staff was very good and courteous to top the experience. Worth the wait and money you pay. Should try and you should not be disappointed.

I cannot resist finding a New Cafe spot while in Montreal. I had a cortado to start off the day + a fresh lemonade for the kiddos 🍋 ✨ Such an adorable cafe with a lovely patio out back. Bright and vibrant interior with lots of greenery and seating. Great place to catch up on some work as well as it has such a chill vibe. We also got a green smoothie the next day and the kids really enjoyed and didn’t even realize there was kale in there. There had a lot of dairy alternatives as well for your drinks. Great spot for coffee and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. #sassyfrazcoffee #montreal #cafemontreal

Recommend for a place to rest and sipping refreshment. I came in to wait for my train. A short walk away from the train station and Metro. Four of us loved this place so much on our four night stay in a nearby airbnb that we started our day here three of the four days. Coffee and Tea and food was outstanding every time. I had the same thing every day, which was the Breakfast Pastry. Seriously the most perfect breakfast on the planet, although Husband felt that way about the Chocolate Croissant, and Kids felt that way about the Granola, Fruit and Yogurt. The Grilled Cheese is amazing as well. Highly recommend!

The nicest, honest most gracious place! I came here for two americanos this morning which ended up tasting amazing!! They made them old school one at a time using great beans and turned out having amazing flavour. While I was at the cafe I ended up dropping cash on the floor which was honestly and graciously returned to me several hours later. I will most definitely make this a go to place and would recommend to everyone else! Thank you again Cafe La Finca😁

We were looking for a spot to stop for a morning coffee and bite to eat, and this place was a few minutes from where we are staying. After having gone, I can tell you — it is worth the detour if you’re staying anywhere near Chinatown or Old Montreal. The food is excellent — I had the breakfast danish — and the drinks are as well. The atmosphere was also well put-together, with a boho vibe and a nice outdoor area, plus they offer a smattering of fresh bread, produce and coffee supplies. Plus, there’s a few books and other items. Would recommend to anyone coming through the area.

Vous trouverez un coin épicerie avec produits locaux et meme des produits fait maison part la Finca. J ai un petit penchant pour le beurre de cacahuètes 😅 J y retournerais sans soucis

This place is amazing. Very busy in the weekend, which definitely gives you an idea of how much this cafe is appreciated and valued. The coffee taste sweet and a tad acidic, just how i like it, and the staff is welcoming and efficient. Thanks to Manon for facilitating us nicely, when there didn't seem to be any more room for us!
