Excellent Chinese restaurant! It reminded me of the food I tried while I was in China. It's delicious and authentic. We tried the lamb, braised pork, beef and broccoli, salt and pepper shrimps, fried rice, and other plates. Everything was delicious. Service was quite fast. Another good thing is that it is not pricey at all! You should definitely try this place. I will come back

Excellent food, the general Tao is the best I’ve tasted. Recommend the beef with hot peppers and the salt and pepper shrimp. Great selection and prices. Service is very good. A must try

Unique taste. Chicken was super good except that it has small fragments of bone. Pork with bamboo shoot was also really good. Portion is good for 2 people. Spice level is medium. Ambience is good and location is perfect, it’s right after exiting the metro Duy Concordia. Also food are reasonably priced. The owner was also very welcoming. We had a nice experience.

Westerners beware, if you order the 3 chicken dish, be prepared to work hard for your meal because you will need to separate out the bone and bone shards from the meat, therefore eat slowly. It might be intentional to leave bone in to promote thoughtful eating, and being present when you eat. Hazard warning should be posted on the menu - do not attempt to multi-task by eating and checking email messages on your phone or looking at ticktock clips. Doing so may bring unintentional eating experience such as choking (ie, eating a whole chili thinking it was a red pepper). I enjoyed the dining experience with my friends and look forward to comming back. Service was quick and food was decently good. They have an area upstairs for group events or lounge space. Loved the spicy sour eggplant and the seafood tofu pot. The chicken reminded me of my grandma's cooking, very nostalgic and she also made it bone in. For extra flavor she used to say.

We had Wontons in peanut sauce, Pork Dumplings, Poached Beef in chilli oil and Spicy Diced Chicken with Yangzhou fried rice. The dumplings are pretty decent as are the wontons. The fried rice was ok, though, they do not use soy sauce. The beef and chicken were HORRIBLE; being Jamaicans we are used to spice and these were actually not spicy, but, they tasted REALLY bad. I cannot figure out what the spice is that gives the flavour that these two dishes had, but, it caused me to almost throw up, I ended up flushing the remainder of both dishes down the toilet.

Amazing food. Really good service. However, there was a guy on a date there talking way too loud. Really loud. Like ‘purposely asserting dominance’ loud. So loud that you can tell he’s trying to overcompensate for when he was kid and nobody heard him. Loud enough for me and my friends to not be able to concentrate on our food. And on top of that, he was boasting about his career and how he is one of the best art managers in the country. How he met obscurely famous people and sold them ‘avant-garde’ art pieces. He was basically announcing his life situation in a reverse invasion of privacy type of way. Volunteering critical information to random strangers. And his date wasn’t even that attractive who he was trying way too hard to impress. The whole time I was waiting for someone to jump in and tell him to take it down a notch but everyone was waiting for him to just leave. The restaurant is pretty amazing though. 10/10 would recommend.

The owner was very friendly. Portion sizes are on the smaller side compared to other Chinese places. But prices were also very reasonable (4 of us cost about less than $100). Expectations met. We had no leftovers so it was a good meal.

I have ordered over 10 times at AuntDai. However, this time was the most disappointing experience, and I don’t know whether they changed the chef or not. I ordered pork belly with sweet potato noodles 猪肉炖粉条and the mixed vegetables (eggplants, green pepper and potatoes) 地三鲜. The pork belly with sweet potato noodles is super super salty. Plus the color of the whole dish is black (See picture 1). You can imagine how salty this one tastes like. Additionally, the mixed vegetables one tastes super bland. It feels like there is no salt in the dish at all. I really love AuntDai, and it is very disappointing to receive orders with such poor taste. :( Hopefully the food quality could be improved soon since I do miss those yummy dishes I had before at Aunt Dai. -Respond to the owner: I totally get that there are different people cooking these dishes. I’m not asking for the same flavor, I’m simply asking for less salty with pork belly with sweet potato noodles and more salty with the mixed vegetable one. Just the normal flavor. Plus we are not picky customers since we have ordered so many times in the past and we were all satisfied with them. I don’t understand how hard it is to acknowledge that sometimes chefs did mess up the flavor of some dishes. Anyway this time we had to put water into the pork belly dish in order to eat it since it’s so salty. Plus we also had to add soy sauce and some salt to the mixed vegetable dish. It feels like we ordered “half-cooked” dishes and we had to fix them on our own. :((((

We were traveling. Taste of homemade food after two days on the road just made us very happy. Food was yummy. Waitresses were quick and nice and always made sure we had enough water. The owner even came to check on us afterward. Highly recommend this place.

Tasty Chinese dishes, nice staff, fast service, and very reasonable prices. We usually take a main dish, with a bowl of steamed rice, and then share a plate of sauté vegetable to share. And a bottle of saki to share. I recommend 2 side dishes toi absolutely try with your meal: dry-fried green beans, and eggplant dish.

A good value Chinese restaurant—just $12 for the General Tso’s chicken, with an expansive second floor featuring a sunlit side room and long tables.

They have the best fried rice in town, so flavorful and authentic! Ordered the salad noodles and beef as well, the beef tasted more Mexican than chinese. Salad noodles was chewy and sour (vinegar), no garlics in it, different from ones from XiAn. Highly recommended for their fried rice. Would come back for their fried rice as well as to try other dishes!

Absolutely delicious! I had the best green beans tonight that I ever eaten at a restaurant. They sauté them with usual spices, but also include small punches of flavor through things like ginger and vinegar. I also got sweet & spicy eggplant, and I was served some of the best-prepared green pepper in this dish, cooked perfectly al dente. People are going to be jealous of my leftovers on my flight out!

Super quick service. Liked the Cantonese fried rice with chicken. Spicy shrimp was good, but more oily. Cumin beef fry was good. Thai fried rice is a big NO

Literally, if I come to this restaurant, the owner will know exactly what I wanna order without even lift up the menu, which is Spicy Diced Chicken. It's really a masterpiece of how to crispy fry the chicken; yet, not oily at all (unlike chickens from fast food restaurants). On top of that, the mix with Sichuan pepper generates this comfortably numb sensation on the lips; and good golly, I cant get enough of it whatsoever

Great Chinese food and very cool owner. Kung Bao chicken and double cooked meat were extremely delicious!

Was recommended this place by a friend. Stopped by one Sunday for lunch, and it was quite empty. The menu is not super extensive, but there’s sufficient dishes to cater to different preferences. We thoroughly enjoyed the 3-cup chicken, and the portion is quite generous. We also had mapo tofu, it was done in a style that was spicier what we were used to. Nonetheless it was quite flavourful. We won’t mind returning again, preferable with more people so that we can share more dishes.

One of the nicest and most authentic Chinese places I've ever been to :) The Host is very warm and welcoming. Been there with friends and we all loved the food. I had the Singapore noodles and they are so generous with the portion. Every dish is good and the owner posts the best reviews ever on the official website :)

Very decent Chinese food. The owner describes all the dishes in a very comprehensive way on the online menu so you have a great idea of what you're getting. Very fun guy to hang out with to. Check out his YouTube channel for interesting interviews.

Went for a quick lunch; the place is simple, food was great and so was the service. I ordered spicy shrimp, stir fried veggies and some steamed rice. Portions are large and was able to take some away for diner. Everything was excellent, the service was super super friendly 🙂

Food was amazing, very flavorful and not overly sweet. We had red braised pork, pork intestine, cumin beef and lamb hot pot, very good portions. Staff was super friendly and welcoming. Inside was nice, a lot of booth seats. Loved it!!

Absolutely delicious! I especially like their take on cumin beef and the pork belly with pickled vegetables. On those days I’m craving something spicy the poached fish or poached beef in chilly oil is what hits the spot. This place serves authentic flavours and textures and is a must for any serious foody in Montreal.

I grew up in Beijing and lived there for 18 years. Can confirm that this place makes authentic Chinese food. And it’s one of the best Chinese restaurants in montreal. The menu has some authentic Chinese dishes and some North Americanized Chinese dishes. This place has something for everyone and it’s a good destination for family/friends gathering. Everything is tasty. I will come back for sure!

Tasty food at a decent price. As a group of 5 we came here and shared many different dishes amongst ourselves. It seemed that every restaurant in downtown Montreal was full on a Saturday night. We came here and they still had space. They have a number of vegetarian options. They have soups. They have salads. There are 2 levels to the place. The downstairs level could do with some redecorating. The washroom is located up on the 2nd level above stairs making this not ideal for handicapped people. The washrooms could also stand to be redecorated.

Absolutely delicious and authentic foods. Be sure you can handle spicy because this isn’t for the faint of tongue! I love the diced spicy chicken. The pepper lingers in your mouth and it burns flavorly. The sweet spicy eggplant is nice and creamy. The house salad is extremely flavourful, but beware, it’s very spicy too.

Just ate there yesterday as recommended by my friend. I would say AunDai is the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been. Food tastes really good and satisfying. You won't feel bloated after eating unlike other Chinese restos I've been. Hhhmmm sooo yummy Braised Pork Belly with Sweet Potato, Twice-Cooked Pork, Sweet &Spicy Eggplqnt, Pad Thai. 100% recommended. Nothing was left on our plates and ordered Twice-Cooked Pork for take home. The owner is so friendly and polite, even offered himself to take our picture. Compliments to the Chef as well. Definitely will come back again 🥰💖🙏
