Alright location but not a great hotel. It was dirty and the way the rooms were set up was misleading. It was essentially a three bedroom apartment and each room was being rented as a "hotel room". When we arrived there were stains on the sheets, hair in the bed and the bathroom was messy. There was no cover on the light switch in the bathroom which is highly dangerous. The terrace door facing the street was open which would've made it easy access for anyone to climb in, in a not so great part of town. There was one toilet for what would've been 9 guests who were attending a music festival. I was really hoping for the best, the pictures online looked great but we didn't even stay one night into the 4 night stay we had booked. Still waiting to hear back about some kind of refund.

one of the worst hotels i've been to. The pictures are complete scam. It is dirty and old. The shower was filthy and seemed like it hadn't been washed in a long time. It came with the bare minimum. would not recommend to anyone. So expensive for what they offer it's literally insulting to be paying that much for so little. Plus, the owners are probably the rudest people I have ever met. Answering their cellphone when you are in the middle of a conversation and just walking away. A big no no for me. never again.

This is an economy hotel. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel this isn't the hotel for you. However, if you're looking for a clean inexpensive place to stay this MAY be a good choice for you. The hotel owners were very nice and quite helpful giving us good suggestions on places to eat and things to see. We booked a private room and the room was small but the linens were very nice, the air conditioning was ice cold ( the way we like it ) and the bed was comfortable. We were in easy walking distance from St. Catherine's street and a about a 20 minute walk from Old Montreal. Again, this is a smaller, older hotel with many quirks, but if you're willing to overlook those quirks this could be a good location for you.

Owners/caretakers or whatever they are...are running a very well planned system. Credit card info do not give them!!! Also they will look for anything to remove you and keep your money and charge you extra as well.

It's decent if you're not looking for too much. I was in room 61. The room had a microwave, sink, fridge, bathroom but just a shower and no bath tub. There was AC and a wonderful balcony. Towels, hand soap pillows and a blanket were provided but not shampoo. It's not your typical hotel. The curtains and blinds DID NOT keep the sun out in the mornings. Also make sure you ask for a private room if you want a private room! Apparently when I booked I originally did not have my own bathroom! Normally you assume you do with a hotel. Also the bathroom is quite small. The room was also clean but it is in an older apartment so it's kinda cute but nothing fancy. The wood floors are old and kinda creaky, the doors are old etc and you can hear doors open and close in other rooms as well as talking in the hallway. But decent price, you get what you pay for. Also NO ELEVATOR! At least I didn't see one myself. I also thought it was strange reception asked for the three digit security code at the back of my bank card...

In summary, we had a lovely stay at Hotel Mini! It's a great hostel; very clean, accommodating and in walking distance of some great local spots. The staff are incredibly kind and responsive. Great location for large groups. If you don't need high end resort amenities, you cannot beat their price. We'd love to stay again! To elaborate on our situation, our large group was left stranded late at night by a scam Airbnb listing. The city was incredibly busy, and most places were full or closed. Hotel Mini picked up the phone in the wee hours of the night, and very kindly figured out where 9 people could stay safely and comfortably at the last minute. The staff had to do some work to make it happen, but they were kind and sympathetic as they bent over backwards to accommodate our large group and provide everything we needed. They saved us and our trip! Thank you Hotel Mini, we look forward to visiting again!

Amazing experience !! We cannot have been more grateful to have dealt with such an amazing owner. we originally weren’t planning on staying here since we had another accommodation booked but since our prior place was unexpectedly cancelled , we got relocated here through travellers insurance. It was complicated situation but the owner handled it with ease. the place itself is very clean and spacious and we get our own private shower. the only thing that’s shared is the kitchen and that has posed no issue. we get our own ac in the rooms and they work wonderfully and even a mini fridge to store our own food. privacy and security are closely monitored and their system is full proof and easy to follow (we have our own set of keys since there are various locks to access the building). Overall, will definitely be coming here again , it’s a great place to stay for a great price and location.

Before my stay at this hotel, I read multiple reviews online through multiple sites. For the google reviews, there were not the most amazing comments which did concern me. However, my experience there completely contradicted almost all of them! The hotel location is amazing! You're less than a two minute walk to amazing restaurants and stores and its also very close to the train and busses. This was especially helpful because it was the first time I visited Montreal and I wanted to go do all the 'touristy things.' The hotel staff were extremely kind, and if there was anything that I needed, they made sure that that all requests were met. If I needed an extra towel, they made sure towels were brought up in a timely manner. It is not a five star hotel, but it is better, in my opinion. In the room I stayed in with my family, there was a living space, kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms (one with one bed and another with two bunk beds which sleeps 6) and a shared balcony. The kitchen has a sink, some cupboards and a fridge with a freezer. All of the basic necessities were there and I will also mention that the entire place was spotless!!! They were extremely accommodating and due to everything stated in this partially lengthy review, I will defiantly stay there again when I go back to Montreal.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay here, even though prior when I read some reviews I was nervous. Let me clear up this hotel: This is a hotel / hostel hybrid. There are rooms that are private, that share a common area + bathroom Or there are also private rooms with their own bathroom and shower within. I stayed in one of these rooms All rooms were very clean. We made friends with a couple who were on the first floor going to the same event as us. They were very happy with their room, linens, ect. No cleanliness problems at all. The common area was also kept tidy. The staff worked very hard to keep it this way. The private room was great. It was not a huge room, but this is an older character building and it was beautiful. Nice walls, ceilings and baseboards. Our room was also very clean. Toilet paper and towels were always stocked daily. The owner (I forget her name!) did an awesome job to accommodate us and answer any questions we had. Great customer service and enjoyed chatting with her whenever I ran into her on the property. This was a fantastic hidden gem in a great location in Montreal. There is everything you need in this location. We attended an event on the island and it was easy to get onto the subway and back. Lots of food, entertainment and fun nearby. There is also the amusement park across the water. I highly recommend! Just understand it does not look like a traditional hotel. Thanks for a great experience when Air B and B let us down last minute!! <3

Floors were incredibly creaky, there was a huge spider in my room, and pay close attention to the room you book because you might have to share a bathroom with other guests, and said bathroom had no hand towels. We were never given face cloths either. It had a balcony with a nice view though, and air conditioning.

This is a Hostel! But a pretty nice one, great location and reasonably priced and separate/private rooms as an option. I enjoyed my stay, with friends. We were not a picky group, but could easily see how a non hostel regal would be unimpressed. Thank you for a great stay!

1/5 it is being advertised as a hotel but it is not most of the good reviews are fake and written by workers and owners. the walls are so thin that u can hear the heartbeat of the person next door. It was a very strange and funny experience everyone I knew was also very disappointed. If u r stuck on the middle floor "god helps you cause u will feel caged. U can hear people from other rooms you can hear people from upstairs and when u walk u will hear people downstairs knocking their roof. It is also close to the highway, so guess what you will be hearing Fire trucks, police cars and much more. I would suggest u rather sleeping on the streets than this place at least u dont have to pay $100 a night the management is not at all helpful the patio and terrace that they are so proud of are off limits most of the time you cant open the door past 9 and I think that is the best time to actually sit and have a drink so if you value your money please don't go there I beg of you Montreal is a beautiful city but everything in it aint pretty thanks for reading the review
