If there was an option to give 0 stars for this, I would have given that. I was in emergency department in September, last year. I explained the situation to the doctors as well as nurses in that department that I do not have a medicare at the moment but I have applied for it and showed them the confirmation. That time the employers said that you do not have to worry about the bills as it will be all covered in your medicare. Now after almost 6 months I received a call from the collection department of the hospital that you have to pay $875 for only one day in the emergency. I called the hospital to ask why I have to pay money now when you told me not to worry. They kept on connecting me to different departments and were so rude and not even ready to listen what I was trying to ask. Whoever the lady was on call today, you need to learn some etiquettes before doing that job. I hope you will learn to be respectful to your customers. Make sure that you provide the right information to the customers before putting them into a pathetic condition because of your own decisions. Try to be a good listener next time and please start listening to the customer’s decisions. Stop harassing them!!!!

It’s the time to find a solution for medical system. You always complain we don’t have enough stuff!! What is the solution? There are many many immigrants who comes to Canada, lots of them are doctors but due to poor system of Canada they won’t accept them to enter to the system. I was a medical student, studied three years at faculty of medicine since I came to Canada, all university said we apologize we don’t accept transfer student, if they could accept me 4 years ago, at least I could be a doctor at this time. Also I see lots of doctors after finishing studies they leave Canada and move to USA, should be a way to avoid this, like increase salary or give them promotion or bring up smth in system to force them stay and work here for 10 years after finishing studies. It’s the time to change mentality and solve this issue. Waiting time at hospital is minimum 6-7 hours!! We are in 21st century. Another solution might help is, accept only emergency people, I see lots of people came to hospital because of abdominal pain or headache which is not consider as emergency. At least they should divide and prioritize the patients.

Extremely rude and apathetic nursing staff. We waited for 8 hours only to get a generic comment from the doctor. I feel that a few nurses (especially reception area) in this hospital are entitled, taxpayer money parasites. They just don't care - you can keep rotting in the chair for hours, wasting your productive time. I saw them misbehave with several elderly patients who just wanted to ask a few questions. And as patient facing staff, it is their duty to respond with empathy. Instead, they try to intimidate and disrespect people. They are so so far from basic standards of care. As with the rest of broken Quebec healthcare, there were only two doctors and the total time spent was almost 10 hours. They all try to normalize and try to blackmail saying that look - this light is blinking it means that someone is dying. All the while you see idle staff just sitting in front of system or chatting amongst themselves. But then - where will you go my friend? The whole system capacity has collapsed and they know it. So they behave as they want. Horrible!

I almost died twice. I kept going in and out for two weeks. Unable to eat or drink anything. Turns out I had a gallbladder/ gallstone attack and still did nothing. No surgery, nothing.. they just gave me some anti nausea and hydration by IV that's it.. when doing and échographie that's when they saw the gallrocks but still didn't perform surgery and just sent me home. When I saw my family doctor she was horrified and filed me for surgery. Plus while I was there, I couldn't stand up because I was suffering too much. They took 10h before putting me in the bed thingy and plug me on IV even if one of the previous doctors said to put me there.. this is awful. I can't believe I'm still alive and it's no thanks to them..

I'm sure that everyone's experience will vary. Mine is based on both mine and my partners. We've visited multiple sections of the hospital for a variety of blood tests and visits with doctors. The hospital card is easy to get and there usually not a long lineup. There's shortcuts to get around the hospital and doesn't take took long to get from one building to the next.

This hospital has very rude people from the receptionists to the nurses . No empathy for the patients nor the family , even thought I completely understand the health services has always been very weak , the ones working should remember why they went in this field to begin with …. I have witness staff spending time on their cell and talking among themselves rather then rushing to see a patient ringing for help and just taking their time. I am extremely disappointed with the health services this hospital provides , especially when dealing with elderly people , incredibly sad …

The experience I had with this hospital is just so traumatic especially in the 2nd assessment area of the ER. On night shift, there is 1 staff, I don’t know if he is racist or just simply rude. He doesn’t say anything, he just simply grabs you for vital signs while your asleep. Signals you for anything because he doesn’t want to talk at all. I do understand how busy these nurses are because they are understaff, but that doesn’t give them the right to be rude. I didn’t plan on being one of the patients either.

First you would not allow my husband in to assist me as I have mental health issues. I had to go into the ER alone and wait 5 hours to get seen by a doctor who was so incompetent. She had no clue what she was talking about. She kepts saying she wanted to address my abdominal pain which was not my issue. I told her about the numb/tingling pain in my side and how I was sure I was getting Shingles and needed medication for it. She laughed and said because I don't have a rash than it is not Shingles. I left crying in pain because she was so stupid and would not listen. Went to my family doctor 2 days later and was diagnosed with Shingles.... Your doctors are stupid and show no compassion. Will never go back.

If I could give NO star that would be a perfect justification. Been waiting since 10pm and got into a consultation room at 03:21am. When asked admitting nurse she was arrogant enough to say we admit by priority, that does not make sense. I do understand that Canada has a good health care system but a small fixtures here and there would make it more better. Overall my first medical emergency visit to the hospital was a worse experience.

Extremely Bad Services, 1. You'll get an appointment after 2 months. And then you are sitting and just waiting. They do not have any mean of the appointments. 2. Staff is too bad, specially reception staff. They do not have manner how to talk with the patients. They are giving lame words when something is requested. They treat patients like their slaves. 3. One should spare a full day to meet the doctor for few seconds. They do not value your time.

Shame on JGH. Posted May 2022 update December 2022 The only good thing in JGH is Kosher food which they escape often and just say sorry next meal will be in few hours.. 1-I was brought to the hospital because of a fall at 9pm. After triage they told me to wait. I asked for a painkiller form any& all of their counters but I was told a Dr has to see me first. They said if I had any broken part I would not be able to keep quiet. At 11.30 pm in snow at -20c I walked to st-Mary's hospital. In 10 minutes a doctor came to triage and ordered pain killer. In 30 minutes I had x-rays done at 1.30 am 2 Hebrew speaking nurses came to tell me not to be afraid they have to put me under general anesthesia to put the broken bones back in place. At 4.30am they woke me up, called a transport and sent me home at 5.15 2- At JGH dentistry department a lousy resident under supervision of another lousy " dentist" filled my front tooth with a very dark color filling that looks I've been smoking heavily and never washed my teeth. After taking thousands$ from me they said I have not spent enough money previous year therefore I am not a priority. Last time they told me they have to extract all my teeth and use denture. I request to see the supervisor. She said, she doesn't let the resident to fill my tooth nor she will do it or allow anyone there to do it. In objection I left. In another dental clinic not far from the hospital a doctor filled my tooth and corrected all the other problems except the mess with my front tooth that was done by JGH. because I would then get to more serious complications. In 2018 at this department 2 residents extracted 6 of teeth which I have kept till today. I showed them to another doctor who said they look healthy. He said they could treat them by a good cleaning and help them to stay solid by antibiotic mouthwash and regular after care. But doing that cost 200$ extraction cost 350$ each and is much faster and easier. I understood to make more money by doing less work they have extracted my teeth. 3- At JGH ENT Dep. few months after my last visit, I asked for an appointment since my symptoms got worse, they told me I was a scheduled for an operation on my vocal cords in 2021 without notifying me. I had to wait few months to get an appointment. I waited 2.5 hours for a doctor, on the day of my appointment. After a nurse started complaining for such long delay for my doctor, another ENT "doctor " came. He asked me how the operation was? Obviously he had not even looked at my file. By putting the camera endoscope in my nose he said nothing is wrong and I was sent for pulmonary dep. and x-ray. They said they will call me later. After a month I called them myself. They gave me an appointment to see a doctor. Another 7 weeks waiting. Meanwhile I went to an ENT clinic in EST of Montreal and an excellent doctor took his time to read and investigate in to my records in health Canada website. He allowed me to see the screen. With the camera in my nose. We saw my left vocal Cords were paralyzed. He found out that the same report was in JGH so he sent me back to JGH for revaluation and he emailed my original doctor but he never replied. Later I went to pulmonary Dep. the doctor said the x-ray is fine and coughing has not killed anyone. Few days after doctor Hirsch had prescribed Nasonex and Alversco they called me for a phone appointment with Dr. Sakr, telling me was very important but he never called. I have called them many times and left messages since they never answer the phone. As well I asked my Pharmasist to fax them that my symptoms are worsening plus I have more coughing, sore throat and chest pain after using the medications. They never replied. I have so many bad experience with this Hospital that I can write a newspaper. I would never go there even if I drop dead. JGH is a cartel. They use foreign students and instead of payments they foll them with "Canadian experience" papers. They get donations and take more grants every year from government which comes from taxpayers.

In the meanwhile I got to see people crying on the floor in pain, and people sitting down there for 48hs while the doctors have THE WORST mistreatment with the pacients

The Birthing Center needs to be improved. We were transfer to 3 different rooms from our arrival. We had booked a Private room months in advance and we were told that all rooms are booked and not available. They put 2 patients in the Same room, No Hot water in bathroom, Power-cut Several times, noisy, very uncomfortable, they don’t even have a sofa bed for you to sleep. The staff were amazing but They need to improve the Birthing center area.

I would give this a 5 if they had better parking spaces. People who rated it 1 probably did not experience other hospitals. This super hospital, along with other super hospitals are actually the best ones we got in Montreal. Don't even bother going to smaller hospitals as the wait time would be even longer and I notice French hospitals in general are not respectful to non-French speakers.

Just passing by this hospital gives me anxiety attack. I gave birth at their Birthing Center. They have a bunch of nurse students and residents who have no clue of what they have to do and how. Thanks to them I had to have an emergency c-section and stay there for 5 days. It is scary how unsupervised they act. They blame now everything on pandemic. Nurses are rude and arrogant; they know more about your body than you do! Dare to correct them! Rooms for which they charge 190/night are disgustingly dirty, no hot water. They keep you at the hospital as long as they can unnecessarily. NICU staff and their lactation consultant are the only light in the darkness.

Patient room photographs are from the Herzl Clinic, which is within the Jewish General Hospital. The JGH is huge! I visited on a Saturday morning. Covid19 compliance was in effect despite most clinics and outpatient offices being closed and locked up for the day. This is a hospital with an efficient, friendly staff; the Herzl Clinic itself was impressively clean compared to other hospital clinics. I became quite lost wandering the vacant labyrithine passages looking to get a hospital card but everyone offered to help this old lady. The staff are kind, bilingual, and compassionate.

Lots of space and lots of equipment and massive triple waiting rooms very new sites but Dr.s are mostly residents and students or very Confused who work for experience collection. Going there feels entering to a torturing place. Still better than MGH. They never pick up the phone when you are transferred to any Dr. or the secretary. NO answering machine or defective one even some departments have it working but even after 20 messages they never call back. In 2022 patiance of covit and non covit were put all together in the parking mangled together none fallowed the protocols. I ran away from the hospital. So unfriendly and rude. Just don't go there or go there and see what I mean.

My dad was hospitalized and sent to the Jewish because its considered the "best" hospital for heart surgeries. He had open heart surgery on the 5th of July 2022, then without doing any physio or walking with him and knowing his history of smoking/overweight and living on the 3 floor. They discharged him on the 15th of July. 2 days prior to being discharged, he had a blood transfusion. Then he passed away on the 19th of July, 4 days after being discharged because they didn't want to keep him in the hospital because they needed the bed for covid patients.. I lost confidence in this hospital and if anything ever happened to me, I don't want to be transferred to this hospital. AND to make matters worse, they called me today to ask how my father was doing. Even though my mom called they hospital 2 weeks after he passed away to let them know he passed away. Horrible hospital!!

My son got delivered last week and we stayed in the postpartum department for two days. All nurses are nice, but I especially would like to praise Ashley. She holds such a 100% responsible attitude towards her work and she is so capable and confident. She can handle any situation properly and solidly. The 5 star is for her. I admire her ability and attitude.

I was just discharged told I wasn't dehydrated yet my copy of the lab results (from yesterday) indicate a high red blood cell count. Didn't bother to do a urine or blood test today. They completely forgot about me, hours later someone comes in talking to me about a plan no one told me about. They made me come in two days in a row just for the head of GI in the ER to completely gaslight me. No follow up planned, and there isn't a second GI to get a 2nd opinion from. This hospital just wants to discharge patients. I spoke with a lady coming out of the rooms who was also being discharged while 2 months pregnant and bleeding. Go somewhere else!

Do yourself a favor and look at a map of this place before you go and give yourself time to get lost before your appointment. The underground parking situation consists of 6 levels of absolute chaos, but it's free for the first 2 hours so that's a plus. Staff will happily give you directions but as you confidently stride off into the hospital's depths you'll soon come face to face with several 'forks in the road' that they failed to mention. Ok, it's not THAT bad. Fortunately, I was only there for an allergy test and all of the staff I spoke with were friendly and helpful. I unexpectedly had to stay an extra hour so I went to get a snack. In retrospect I should've gone to the second cup that I passed on my way to the cafeteria but hey, at least I got to enjoy fresh grapes & cheese cubes (I don't know what it is about cheese being cubed but It just feels like the right choice). In conclusion, I stand by giving yourself as much wiggle room as possible before your appointment.

The worst experience of my life... we arrived at the emergency room with my wife due to severe pain due to kidney inflammation and the wait is totally crazy... we arrive at 7 pm and it's 1 am and we are still waiting for a doctor to see my wife... few resources and little consideration for people who come sick. This crazy waiting time only accentuates the illness with which they arrive

I really hope that the Doctors are better than the administration... The administration is incredibly incompetent. Not only does this hospital work in the dark ages (you can't fax your MRI requisition, you have to deliver it in person, or by snail mail), but they lack common sense. I went to the hospital to give my requisition for an MRI. The elevator was down, so I had to walk up three flights of stairs or try to find another elevator. Needless to say I walked. Get to the window to submit the requisition however I needed to have a hospital card. Ok, no problem... Back to the first floor. Get my hospital card, go back upstairs... Now I can hand in my requisition. She takes a copy of my card and the requisition. She tells me that we will get an appointment sent to us by... remember dark ages?... by snail mail. This is first world health care. About a week later, I get mail from the hospital. I thought to myself, well that wasn't too bad, only to see that they sent back my requisition telling me that I needed to have a hospital card!!! So they lost the photocopy of the hospital card... They could have at least looked in the system to see if there was one already there! It literally takes 10 seconds. But instead, they take my requisition and send it back to me so that I can restart the entire process all over again! I had to take time off of work and wasted an entire afternoon following their procedure! I called to see if I could send it via fax or email since it was their mistake. She said no, you have to start over, then she hung up on me. I couldn't even discuss further. How can our hospitals be so inept and technologically inferior to other "3rd world" countries? If you're not dying, you have to live with the pain. Or pay $800 for one MRI scan. Brutal.

This gotta be the longest hospital and the worst. Like is it normal to wait since 7am in the morning until 5pm just to get a freaking blood test. What kind of hospital is this? I regret coming to this place. I even told the ambulance to bring me to my family doctors hospital. But instead they brought me to a place where I have to wait for almost 10 hours just to get a blood test. That’s all. Just a simple procedure and I just need my prescription for my antibiotics. This is ridiculous. Worst hospital. They have a nurse doctor or whatnot they call only one patient at a time, then what’s the point of having several doors just for appointments.

This hospital discharged an elderly woman early morning today without acknowledging her family. Despite the fact that they we’re explained that the woman was no longer independent and needed assistance at all time. They didn’t allowed her daughter to stay with her. Just to receive a call from the police who we thank for finding her safe and sound. This types of unprofessional behaviour should NOT be tolerated and worthy of a law suit. It’s unacceptable.

Doctors at the ER from my experience has caused me to mistrust them. I was suppose to get a referral and a call to an Internist specialist after the hypertension urgency episode I had. But after checking with a friend of mine who is a nurse there, said that it was not done. Also my friend said that the blood test that the doctors performed for my organce was not done as well, while I was assure that it was and everything was ok. Only the test for my Hemoglobin level from loosing blood was done. The nurses do their best to keep the patients calm from what I see. But i feel as the ER doctors wants to just bypass and get through with the next patient unless you are dying. Its frustrating to hear them tell you that its been taking care of when its not.

I have used the emergency room here several times, and the Osteo department, and I keep coming back to the Jewish. Yes, they are busy. Yes, they are overworked, stressed, and exhausted. Despite this, the staff at this hospital (doctors, nurses, cleaners, etc) are respectful, professional, and even have senses of humour. I’ve heard them deal very patiently with patients who are screaming in their faces. I’ve dealt with male doctors (as a woman, always a gamble), but the male doctors there are actually professional and validate you, listen to you, and treat you with dignity. The Jewish is the bright spot in Quebec’s dark healthcare system, and it is because of the nurses, doctors, and staff. You have made me feel safe and heard. Thank you!

Terrible Day, More then 11hrs!! Took my dad to the ER. Since he was not VAX but had a negative COVID test result. Triage nurse still put him in a new emerge Ambulance Garage area for COVID patients. He was exposed to the virus all day. Horrible treatment, unclean, no staff, no food. Make sure you bring a jacket, food, water if you don’t want to starve. If you can avoid going to this hospital even better. Only one good thing few Drs are kind & very good.

The wait time at the emergency room is atrocious. And when they announce your number on the TV screen, there's a chance they'll only call you once and never again. Despite it they'll claim they did call you so many times(a lie). And once you finally got through that, you might end up waiting for so many hours... and you will wait for 6ish hours and when a nurse finally calls you, they will claim they've been calling you MUCH EARLIER despite arriving at the waiting room in time...they not once bothered to call you once again and left you stuck with many sick clients for God knows how long. If I ever need to see a hospital, I rather succumb to it than coming here ever again.

Trying to get anyone to anyone on the phone is basically impossible. Most of their blood requisitions don't have a quebec doctor permit so all centers outside of theirs will refuse to process them. Their service is worst than third tier countries' healthcare.

An excellent hospital. The hospital provided two hours free parking, and the preventive measures are excellent throughout the buildings. Over the years, this hospital have left a lot of memories through the thin and thick of life. Despite the outcomes, for better and worse, a heartfelt thanks to all personnel who never give up doing all the hard work, especially in this pandemic time. Thank you one more time.

I had an appointment at Internal medicine, I got there 10 minutes before time but still had to wait an hour to see the doctor! I really felt anxious the whole time I was there, sitting next to other patients and people, during a pandemic. As if that wasn't bad enough, the resident doctor spoke to me for about 15 minutes asking questions and then went to talk to his supervisors, leaving me alone in the room for almost 30 minutes. I was almost about to leave when he came back. I was so frustrated and hungry (mind you, I had been fasting just in case they asked me to do another blood test). I think something needs to be done about this, patients should not be be treated with disregard or kept waiting unnecessarily, especially during a pandemic.

Last week I came into the ER at 11pm with a breathing difficulty. I was triaged immediately and admitted. Thankfully nothing was found and was sent home the next am. From beginning to end I was treated with empathy and respect. I have nothing but praise for all those individuals who took care of me. Thank you

Very busy. Even with an appointment, you have to wait. Arrived for 9:15 and finished around noon. It's hard to find parking. Lots of traffic. Masks and hand sanitizer are available at entrance. Staff are friendly and are able to communicate in multiple languages. It is a large hospital so you need to know where you are going.

Omg I can’t believe how annoying doctors can possibly be. I can’t wait to get a real doctor. What a waste of so many years of appointments and blood tests. They never take all the necessary measurements at once at the Herzl and constantly gaslight so it’s impossible to ever make progress about my health or figure out what’s going on in a given moment or monitor things over time. I want to pull my hair out. Don’t rely on student doctors if you have a disability because they won’t even listen to you advocating for yourself. I don’t even have energy to monitor everything they do. And I always end up frustrated and confused. I think it used to be better . Maybe in the past I would have given it 4 stars. It’s gotten progressively worse. Checked my medical records today and there are a lot of inaccuracies and missing important information in many of the doctors’ notes. And when levels in my lab results were low or high, no one bothered to tell me. I was always told everything was normal. I give two stars because at least decently good records were written down and kept even if not always true or properly followed up with to future doctors or myself and I had to request the records to see it all. Often getting services requires asking about them and reminding about follow up. Still haven’t gotten a scan of my brain despite having a pretty intense brain injury in 2019. I would love for my doctor to be changed. Sonia Berkani was very dismissive. She didn’t believe me when I said I had brain fog then sent me for a blood test and didn’t followed up about it. I just see now that my urea was so low I could have been having renal or kidney failure. I have to go get that checked again lol wow. Edit : they switched me to another resident doctor named Dr. Germaine Tawedrous and she was also dismissive and said “mold exposure doesn’t cause or exacerbate health problems like brain fog”. I immediately asked to switch doctors again after that so hopefully the next one isn’t incompetent. I also asked to get tested for c reactive protein and she took a blood test and didn’t put it on the list of things to check. It’s so frustrating. My urea is back to normal now so it was messed up that time likely due to more than dehydration and no one looked into it. My b12 is a bit higher than it was in 2021 but still in the range of a likely deficiency but my MPV has gone up due to stress because it’s even higher than it was in 2022 when I wasn’t as stressed because my divorce proceedings hadn’t started yet but all along still high for years. Ugh I’m not a doctor and they aren’t tracking or recording this data enough to get a full picture of what’s going on at every moment in time and not listening to me so no progress is ever made it’s so evil . If you have health problems don’t get a doctor at the Herzl clinic. They’re just student doctors with attitude problems. Wasn’t always this way though

Even zero start for Jewish Hospital is too much. Most of the personal are very rude and aggressive. Doctors are not good, services are slow . Doing everything in this hospital is a pain for patients. Last visit -AUG 2021: See Dr. Mark Trifiro was just wasting time. His receptionist is the worth receptionist that you can find in this city. All in this department (Endocrinology) is disorganized. Not recommended at all. Any body goes to this hospital , comes back with bad memories.

Absolutely terrible. The Covid-19 testing is very efficient but that’s all. The staff at this hospital are lazy, inefficient and rude. Quebec has the worse health care system in this country. I would not want to get old here and look forward to moving away.

Honestly, I am very grateful that this hospital exsist, and I had nowhere near a bad experience with them. My mom had an emergency surgery as they were the first to admit her, and typically saved her life as she was in a terrible condition. The doctors and nurses there were amazing, and as someone who has very high anxiety in hospitals, the nurses were very kind and helped me calm down even as a visitor. Very thankful that the staff at this hospital exist, thank God.

I wish I could give 0 stars after the nightmare my mother went through at this hospital. A resident doctor tried to force my mom to undergo a surgery her family doctor states she doesn’t need after speaking to him. My mom only stated that she needed to think about it and that she needed medical results proving that the surgery was required as they didn’t present that to her. The resident doctor and ER doctor became rude and condescending towards my mom and stated that if they don’t do the surgery for her at that same hour that was it, in which he proceeded to aggressively remove the IV and told her she could leave. Very very horrific experience. I don’t think filing a complaint is enough for this inhumane act.

Best hospital experience ever. The doctors and nurses and staff are outstanding. Amazing customer service. Mind blown. Food not bad. If kosher, see rabbi for great food options. Can't say enough good things about this hospital and its staff.

I was born at this hospital but it has descended into a pit of corruption. I am trying to sue them for the psychological damage they have caused me but I am told I would need a fortune to take them on. I will try anyway. Luckily I was treated for cancer at Saint Mary's which was okay. My larger complaint is that this hospital fraudulently claimed I have some kind of mental health issue which is a complete fabrication and I have the international proof this was made up, as well as at least one doctor there who sides with me. I am going to sue them that's for sure.

The emergency leaves a lot to be desired, as is true for any hospital in Montreal. Just going for testing however, I really appreciate that the staff don't get hostile with you for speaking English. Staff are helpful and friendly.

I've been at the emergency for a problem with my knee (couldn't walk). Very dismissive doctor, 10 seconds visit, no prescription, no tests, said it would be solved in a couple days. Which of course didn't happen, so I had to go to another hospital, where I got a really accurate visit, blood tests, xray, etc and a real diagnosis and a cure. Very disappointing experience.

Got brought in for a psychiatrict issue. The nurses who did my intake were very nice, however the place wasnt clean, graffiti all over the walls, no pillows for the beds, and the food they served me for breakfast made me terribly sick, clearly was very old scrambled eggs in a cardboard container. They wouldn't provide me with a prescription for any medication just made me sign a form for a referral and told me I could leave.

Shout out to RN Alexa who really took very good care of my mom in psychiatry. She actually takes the time to talk with her patients, asks how they are feeling, and is a fantastic listener. Thank you as well to our social worker Elena who worked very hard to help find a residence for my mom to live during a very difficult period in her life. Bless you both!

When my mom was first treated at ER & intensive care, I have to say I’ve never experienced such a high standard of care and compassion. Since moving her to other floors and services, everything’s gone downhill . Medical blunders, neglect and somewhat inhumane conditions... This will be reported to patient services/ombudsman.

Orthopedic department a women dr she got into the patient room and gave a dirty look to the patient and patient asking about a new problem after surgery but she didn't care and she said this is existing problem and she didn't wants to look at it, patient said I having pain and can't eat but she didn't care, very poor service, Canada should look after this problem or this kind of dr will give a bad reputation to canadian health systems, this time I am not mentioning her name but next time we will start to posting the name and will vedio record for the proved

Obviously, emergency wait times are long, but that's the case for any hospital in the country, especially in cities. Faulting a hospital for that is a bit silly considering the alternative (paying $$$ out of pocket). My wait was about 5 hours, but the experience was made pleasant by the amazing nurses and the doctors I saw. Hospitals stress me out immensely, but their kindness made it a lot easier for me. My follow-up appointment was booked fast, they called me within 24 hours. Returning to an equally amazing experience that I had in emerg really cemented this hospital as the best in Montreal for me.

My favourite Christmas 2023 place. It helps. Message for the homeless of Canada. The Jewish hospital has a heart and will always open its doors. God bless you.

Went to the emergency last night. The nurse was great and she told me I would have to wait all night before I can see a doctor so she booked me an appointment at a clinic near by and she still checked my blood pressure and temperature and I appreciate her for not making me sit all night and wait.

I went to the ER last week . It was tuesday morning because I feel a burning pain in my stomach with dizziness, and I vomitted. I waited 5 hours until I saw the doctor, during that 5 hours I vomit 5 times as well ,crying on pain and they just ignore me and some nurses are a little rude. I asked to have a new clean mask since my mask has vomit on it but she told me, “Just wait sit down I will come back to you “ while shes infront of her computer and the box of mask was just beside her. Its so simple and easy to just give one right? So i waited and she didnt come to see me so i went on the nurses station to ask again and then that's when she gave me a mask. I dont know whats happening but the way they work there is not good. They dont clean the table before and after getting blood for blood test as well. They should let the patient use the toilet when they need it rather than saying its still dirty you need to wait until its cleaned. I hope this could be fixed.

We've had a couple ultrasounds here, both went smoothly for the most part. However, getting a hold of the OB unit (or anyone on the phone for that matter) has been a nightmare every time. Currently trying to schedule a 32 week ultrasound, have called literally 13 times in the past few days (have tried several other times in the past two weeks) and the phone just keeps ringing and nobody ever picks up. I finally went through the general hospital number to try that way, and was told "I can't do anything about that, you just need to keep trying". We're just a couple weeks out from needing the ultrasound done and I'm feeling really frustrated at how hard it is to get a hold of someone to schedule our appointment.

Dedicated staff, however tried several times in the last 3 weeks to reach for pathology results or the doctor that saw me, but to no avail. Even calling the main number. Is that what or system has come to? Pretty sad

This is by far one of the most organized Emergency I've ever seen. Got there at 9 AM, saw the doctor at 11:30. The doctor consulted the neurologist and came back at 12:15 and I was out at 12:30. Didn't expect it this way. I was pleasently surprised.

My wife was going for labor. We arrived at 5am. The staff at that time were incredible so as the delivery room until......that staff left and new ones came. They really didn't know what they were doing plus they were telling us that our doctor Truchon that my wife was going there during the pregnancy will show up for delivery and he didn't. She in pain and real pain. The first needle they put on thr back didn't work and had to put another one after 2 hours to my notice.( nurses talking a lot)....he didn't put it right the first time and could of paralyze my wife... After 30 hours of pain, not 1, not 2 but 11 nurses came. The 2 in front were ok and one other helping but the rest omg a joke. She didn't even check the correct time of my child birth ...I had to correct her....dumb blond.. After all that, we were sent to the room and the nurse was giving attitude saying were supposed to have our stuff with us.....like the other nurse told us to bring it after the delivery....no conditioning here.... Anyways The delivery room vip so we were like ok, the next room semi private should be same....... DISGUSTING..DIRTY....A JOKE

This is the best hospital in Montreal and honestly probably the best out all big city hospitals I’ve ever been to (Toronto as well) Anytime I need to go to the ER I’d rather go out of my way to come here. QUICK, clean, modern, efficient, compassionate. If only free healthcare was this way everywhere!

RE: interventional radiology dept Top notch! I really do feel like I’m in the best hands and I can share this after having consulted with Dr Kaitoukov. Everyone from Richard, who I spoke with on the phone to book my consultation to nurse Elianna who did my blood test right there in the IR department just after I had my consult. Any kind of procedure can be scary but it helps when you meet phenomenal individuals that show an exceeding level of professionalism and care.

I have been treated at the Jewish General Hospital for more than 20 years for, among other things, two hip prostheses, kidney nephrectomy, treatment for two cancers for four years, prostate surgery, still standing, still alive and well at 84 years old. In a few words: 5 Star Services and Care and even more if possible!
