Nice and clean gym to work out in, but not worth it for the price considering the scummy management and lack of communication. When I had first gone to sign up, I booked an appointment online for a free trial and when I showed up they refused to honour it. Same situation after signing up when i tried to bring a friend. Another thing that bothered me was the reduced hours. One of the main reasons I chose the gym was that it was open 24h and could go work out after work. Unfortunately the gym now closes at 10/11pm and 7pm on weekends. For a while they were even closed on Sundays with the excuse that they were cleaning the gym although that was clearly not the case. After asking the staff the real reason for the reduced hours, it was to save money. They got to cut back on their hours and blame the pandemic while we are still charged the same and offered nothing in terms of compensation for the reduced hours and facilities The last straw was that when the gym was closed during covid, they continued to charge my credit card. I called several times to pause payments since apparently they could only pause them for 3 months at a time and the payments were credited. However, when they re-opened they did not credit the payments as promised. I decided I had enough and wanted to be refunded for the payments so I called the gym numerous times over the span of a month, left messages to the manager, and in the end, never got a call back. I then went in person to cancel and get my refund, and while the manager promised me the money would be refunded to my card within the next week... it has now been 2 months and i've given up. I'm sick of dealing with these people.

I didn't have any issues with Gold's gym up until they first automatically decided to renew my membership for an another year without me singing anything. I managed to clarify the problem but the staff always blame "employees that have already left" as if it makes any difference to me. The second problem which is a major one is related to the 5 visitor passes included in a membership. I asked them if I could bring my brother in with me using the passes up until he decides whether to sign a membership or to look elsewhere. One of the employees told me that there would be no problem, so the third time around when I was asking them to let my brother in using the visitor passes they told me that this only applies to 5 different visitors not the same one. They started acting very rudely and shocked as if I was stealing anything from them although I was misinformed. I told them that I was misinformed the first time around and asked what can be done now since we're already here. Should I always be responsible for every misunderstanding that happens because every one of the staff has a different version of the policies ? They told me they couldn't do anything, when I asked them sarcastically "well do you want me to ask my brother to go home or wait in the car" the employee rudely said "Yes unfortunately". When I asked him again just to make sure he understood my question he smirked and said "yes". The manager was present there but instead of talking to me he was mumbling instructions to his staff. Finally when I decided to sign to cancel my renewal for the second year they changed their tone and "allowed" me to let my brother in. That's how low and rude and disrespectful the staff present that day were. I cancelled my membership, left the gym. I don't recommend it to anyone if you don't want to run after them for frozen payments, unjustified membership renewals and overall rudeness and disrespectful attitude from some of their staff. Other people working there are very friendly and are part of why I wanted to renew my membership initially. Unfortunately, the staff present that day changed the whole situation around.

I recently joined Gold’s Gym and I love it! I tried out a couple of other gyms (including this one) before become a member here and it was my favourite over all. It’s a very nice gym, well equipped and very clean. The staff are super nice and they offer multiple group classes. Today I tried spinning class and I love it. There’s multiple memberships prices and it’s a lot cheaper than I expected (they also have discounts). Even though the gym is not 24hrs they open super early in the morning and close pretty late. If you want to invest in a good gym you’re coming to the right place. It’s so nice here that makes me want to workout more!

I have been a member since day ONE. Today, Sep 18th, 2021, is the straw that broke the camel's back. The gym was scheduled to open at 7am and did not open until 8AM. This has happened way too many times and is constantly a slap on members. Management will tell you how unfortunate it was and they take measures to rectify. Speaking from someone who has experienced this MANY TIMES, from my perspective, this gym has run out of chances. I will be cancelling and advise anyone who depends on early openings, to not consider this particular gym.

Excellent gym, shoutout to Homan!!! A lot of spaces. It feels so comfortable, a clean place and not to crowded to go to. And, they also have a lot of equipments 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 They also have a gym area upstairs for GIRLS ONLY, sauna as well and many more. ❤️

This facility is terrible! I canceled my account in 2020 and never heard a word from anyone until a collection agency calls me 3 years later for an overdue amount although I've received emails asking me to become a member. I canceled because the facility was never properly cleaned especially during Covid, and the majority of the machines in the women's section were broken and not repaired/replaced. Employees would not show up on time to open the gym when the hours were reduced. I would NEVER recommend this gym to anyone. Update - Received an email from Andrew and all issues have been resolved amicably which was very much appreciated!

CLEAN, friendly staff, and not overpacked. I always end up choosing Gold’s over other gyms. No ego lifters, smells fresh, they have AC, and the machines are mostly available. Both locations are great

Quite nice gym, I am there in the morning around 06:30. Staff at the counter is great and very helpful! The swimmingpool is closed for some time and don't know when or if it will open again! Only thing to improve would be a tower for calisthenics, if you are into body weight training it is a bit limited..

the worst ever, really changing the contract from one side?! not respecting your contract is kind of stealing and people are not stopped, on top bad service, swimming pool is close , there’s many gyms around cleaners and they respect their clients…

It's a great gym, everything is clean and the fitness machines are top notch. The staff is A+ and I never felt rushed or treated like a number. There is however a problem with some entitled male customers bothering the missus. I know the gym isn't a daycare, but I've seen places where employees stepped in to put an end to guys hitting on chicks while they're trying to get their workout done. For that reason alone, I removed a star.

UPDATE: RESOLVED BY ZAHEER - manager The overall gym is nice and I was happy to sign up and as a member since June 2023. I have certain severe health circumstances that require me to be away from Montreal for treatment for several more weeks. Whoever I spoke to on the phone 1/30/2024 at 11:45am was extremely disrespectful, unempathetic, not helpful, and very rude. He is the opposite of what you want as a front desk representative. Please address this issue, and teach this "gentleman" some customer service skills.

Clean, affordable, good friendly staff. Recently I visited gym's near my area. But, nothing surpassed what Gold's gym is offering. plenty of gym equipments, a lot of group exercise, cinima, tanning salon, massage, Sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi and a swimming pool what could you ask more. A free bag?! Yes they gave me a free bag. Lolz Sabrina showed me the facility and showed me their services that they are offering. She knows her job very well. Beautiful and very friendly. I have been to a lot of gyms and all I wanna say is that this Gold’s Gym Saint Laurent is really the friendliest of all of my experiences. I used to go to different gyms in order to find the best one for me. However, Gold's Gym Saint Laurent has given me the opportunity to be extremely comfortable with my surroundings as staffs would always walk around, clean and ask us if everything is good. Being in this gym has given me the chance to become more as they are available until 11pm that suits my busy schedule. If you are wondering where to go for an enjoyable workout, I assure you that this gym will really put your shyness away. Best Gym for me! - Ralph

I attended the Sunday Pilates class with my wife and was pleasantly surprised with the size and layout of the entire place. I've often been intimidated by 'bro gyms', but I wouldn't classify this as one of them. That was my fear because of the brand's name. The group class held 15-20 people comfortably, and although I was the only male in the class, I didn't feel as if I was out of place. The instructor was perfectly vocal so for a person like myself with limited pilates experience I could easily follow along only looking to my wife for proper execution once or twice - the instructor did a great job describing the reason - and target areas - of the moves which I found super-helpful. All-in-all, an excellent experience in which I hope to have again. Thanks Gold's. 💪

I recently had a positive experience at the gym, and I must commend the receptionist, Homan. His friendly demeanor and efficient assistance made my visit enjoyable. The gym itself is well-equipped, clean, and offers a variety of workout options. Overall, a great place for fitness enthusiasts!

I’ve been a member at Golds Gym for 6 years and the staff from reception desk to concierge team are so friendly and welcoming. The classes are always fun and instructors make sure to accommodate your physical and comfort level. There are always new classes and it’s fun to challenge yourself to new fitness goals. Who knew I could Box and workout on top of a surf board! 💪

Great trainers! The new machines and turf are a great addition to the facility! The facility was renovated and revamped which made it much more spacious. The safety procedures in regards to the pandemic are strict and effective! If in doubt, come see for yourself!

I was very excited to start working out at this gym. Due to high reviews and good reputation. The deal break for me was the pool, that doesn’t work. I even asked the receptionist, and he told that he doesn’t think the pool will open anytime soon. It could be written on their website, i wouldn’t come. The gym is old, and you can see it inside the lockers and inside the gym. Besides that, it has pretty everything you need. But is very clean and not crowded(9am) All that to say, i don’t understand the high prices.

I absolutely love this gym! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It's always clean and well-maintained, making it a pleasure to work out here. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned gym-goer, this place has something for everyone. I've seen great results since joining, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get fit and healthy.

My experience with Gold Gym is amazing. New to Montreal and first time with them. No doubt all the instructors are wonderful but the one who stands out to be impeccable is the yoga teacher Marisol. She is fantastic and she manages to let you connect with your senses in a magical way. Bravo. Anthony

Towel service at this location has been terrible in the past few weeks. According to the staff, the laundry machines have been out of service but it's been weeks with no remedy. More effort needs to be made to upkeep the gym and to provide reliable facilities for their dependable clients. Nov 14, 2023 - Updating my review that the towel service in the gym has now been restored. The staff and managers were able to fix the problem with broken machines and were attentive to the needs of their clients during this period.

It's been couple of months I go to Gold's Gym and I love the atmosphere, the people, the service. I feel as if I go to my second home there. My trainer Nicolas is the best. He gave me a program to follow and I saw the results after 4 sessions not even. I really recommend that trainer and that gym !!

We absolutely love this Gym. Its clean, the staff are always very friendly and energetic and very knowledgeable. It makes no sense as we go to this gym 6times/week. This is a high end GYM, if you want garbage, go to BUZZFIT :)

Clean, super friendly staff, great customer service and a well equipped GYM. Update Tuesday Mar 15, 2022 After the last lockdowns the gym management shutdown the pool permanently and canceled the towels service for premium members, not only that, they’re shutting down the hot water in the showers to reduce costs. Take my advice and look for another gym!

i used to be member of this gym but not anymore i already cancel and will be leaving in 2 weeks, im paying 35 every 2 weeks it means more than 70 à month as the month is more than 28 days most of the time, it’s including some service’s towels… and recently they cut the towel service without even notice or apology and they keep the same price and they closed the swimming pool wich was big reason for me to go there, now they will say because of covid but it’s not true soo idont want to hear that answer , however if you are new in the area looking for new gym i just want to tell you you paying for ferrari and you getting kia….

My second review. I had to delete my first review to give the second. I decided to give the gym a second chance as I heard it was better .I didn't like the lack of professionalism and customer service and they charged me 4 months during covid and I had to fight to get a refund . This month they blocked my entrance a few times as apparently needed to call my bank cause I blocked my credit card which I never did?? I paid in person to stop being annoyed .I asked for the office to call me 4 times and no one in the office called me as getting annoyed being of being blocked . Tonight I was trying to get an answer to see what was the date to cancel my membership 30 days prior and there was a confusion. After being frustrated they told me I didn't have a specific date as I was a gold member and can cancel whenever I want as long as it was 30 days before . After being on phone 30 minutes ! No clarity I was told the manager was gone. Then I get a call from assistant manager a few minutes later and he left me a voicemail that they cancelled my membership immediately and they do not tolerate insults .I would like to hear my insults on the taped conversation? Assistant manager left me a voicemail couldn't even talk in person ? I called back I asked for assistant manager and he apparently was gone I dont Beleive it cause I called back immediately. The ssistant manager leaves a message ?? A message to say it's okay don't come back lol it's quiet unbelievable.! They don't know what is going on many occasions and lots if times get misinformed. I am asking the owner would my refund April 2020 when the govt closed the gym and remove my credit card from the system.

I have been a member at the Gold's gym VSL for a couple of months now. The gym has the needed equipment for the most part. The staff-team are professional, when I have any questions, they actively listen and support in ensuring a positive experience. Homan is a member of the team at the front desk and is very courteous & professional as well! Even though there are gym members who are messy and do not place equipment back in its proper place, the team is patient and diligent in ensuring the gym is in order.

Great gym! It has a lot of equipment and never feels crowded. It also has an only woman section, it has everything you need to get a great workout done! ☺️ Andrea was the best, she recommended it. 💖

I could not confirm if i was able to enter the the Golds gym facility at Ville-St Laurent, but I was met with kind and friendly staff and they helped me out and let me in their Golds Gym Facility. I was very surprised how clean and neat the facility was. Staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this Golds Gym faculty. Thank You!

I would highly recommend GOLDS GYM VSL. Today was my first day and I liked it from the start. One reason is Andrea, I met her at reception desk and she helped me thru with all the process of registration plus visit to gym, all the possible types of membership and all I needed to know. Being pretty clueless about gym, I was served by Homan. He was patient, friendly and very informative about how the Gym works. He helped me find the right program and answered my needs in terms of of service Also, this place is huge. I'm never waiting for any machine our equipment.

Decided to rejoin after 8 years - man, has the gym changed! Gotta say, was a little disappointed to see that the cardio-theatre room is gone. That used to be one of the best features! And why is the place so dimly lit? One thing is for sure, the place is still very clean, with quality equipment, even after all of these years. Staff is still a high point there - everyone is super friendly, approachable and accommodating (shoutout to Homan who did a fantastic job setting me up with my renewal). Look forward to getting back into it!!

I did a free trial last week at the gym. I spoke with Emile and Yeannie at the front desk who are so sweet. I absolutely loved everything about the gym EXCEPT the volume of the music. The volume is way too loud and I wasn’t able to hear my own music. As a Speech Language Pathologist, I am very careful regarding ear health. I don’t feel comfortable joining this gym unless this issue can be resolved.

Really nice gym, very clean facility and equipments are functional. However the downfall is that people don't put the equipment back to it's proper place. I see people leaving 45 lbs wheels lying on the floor or one of the equipments. Not everyone can lift 45 lbs so if they can put it in, they can put it back out to it's proper place. I know it's out of the staff's control but it gets really annoying every time people do this. 5* because the parking lot is spacious and convenient.

Staff here is amazing. They're understanding and professional. I got an amazing tour of the facility from Sara. They have an abundance of machines and weights. They even recently added turf. Oh and they have a pool and jacuzzi( hell yeah ). Best part is that all of that comes in by default.

Goated gym. Great atmosphere, hospitable to each and all. Really feels like everyone is grinding towards the same goal which makes for a beautiful community. It really gives a feeling of belonging. Not to mention the gym itself which by far contains better installations than any other gym in the area. Fell in love after 3 days. This is my home. Also the staff is extremely friendly and assists anyone in need with respect and professionalism, particularly Matthew who always makes sure my needs are met and that everyone is enjoying their experience.

Golds gym is one of the best gyms I have ever been too especially because of their amazing staff. The one person that mostly stands out for me is Ahmed, he is one of the best people you can ever encounter, because of his kindness, his energy and the service he provides. Every morning is a great morning for me to go to the gym because he always makes my day.

Honestly it is a great gym to go, Equipment’s are clean and the fitness machines are top notch.( maybe a little addition to decline bench would be recommended ).The staff is great and have been helpful. Marina has helped me fix the payment problems and have been really helpful in all through the process! A continued pool access would have made it through the 5stars! Highly recommend!

Bathrooms are always so clean here~ When I came in as a newbie there were equipment I never knew existed or needed like trap bars, sleds, and battle ropes. All of these are my favorites in my workout. The best part is that there's a massive green turf which is great for calisthenics. Super happy to be a user here!

Amazing gym! The staff is so friendly and they keep the area so clean! I was helped out by Homan, and he was able to help me figure out which plan fit my needs. BEST GYM EVER! I’ve been an on and off member since 2014. I always return there, as simple as that. Gym is clean, smells good, feels good. They offer a wide range of classes, from hot yoga to spinning. I personally never tried but it’s good to know I can always try. Steam room smelling eucalyptus, sauna, women only and like 8 showers… Anything to fit a princess’ needs. WIDE range of machines from cardio to exercises. Come try for yourself… You won’t be disappointed. PS: Go in the morning if you feel like becoming a member. Ahmed will be there with the best smile and customer service!

Greatest gym!! I switched From econo and the atmosphere is so much better here. There’s even a girls section which is AMAZING. Each month a schedule is posted for workout classes, so it’s good to have the option when you’re a beginner and don’t know what to work on. The staff is also so helpful and friendly, I enjoy coming here.

I love this gym! Great atmosphere. It’s very clean and it’s rare to have to wait for any equipment. The sauna always completes the workout and this is one of my favourite places to come workout. The staff is great and the person at the front desk I think Zaheer is his name was super helpful and very professional.

Yeannie gives an amazing service she is very polite and she's always friendly. Going to the gym is always nice when she's around. She's informative if you need help. Singing up to the gym was great 👍 and ever since I signed up I have no complaints. This gym is perfect. The area is always clean and ready for a good workout.

Went to Gold’s Gym Ville Saint-Laurent when they first opened and have been a member ever since. The staff is great and the best thing about the gym is they keep the equipment and services up to date. I’ve been to other gyms where the machines are out of order and rusted and never kept up to date. But Gold’s Gym makes it a point to have presentable and good working equipment for members, so it’s my go-to place for training and staying healthy!

I had a terrible experience at this gym where I’m now stuck paying a huge fee that I didn’t agree to. Please don’t believe all the positive reviews as they are clearly not credible and can all be linked back to the same employees who asked their family and friends to write reviews. The staff is really rude and finds continuous reasons to overcharge you whether for the membership or for personal training. They ask for $10 just to send you an invoice for your insurance! Incompetent staff who treats their customers with the worst and rude manners. Don’t go there, you’re better off working out in your basement . I should have listened to all the neighbours who told me so.
