Excellent sushi, creative flavours, wonderful service and overall, memorable experience :) I brought my family here for my birthday dinner and was very delighted by the service and food quality. Highly recommend! If you order take out, go for it too! My top dishes here: - black angel - geisha - sumo - nuage - major aux fruits (best dessert ever!) No doubt there is something here that will blow your mind and taste buds. Thank you to the Ohana family for having us and serving us. Super friendly waitress too. We’ll be coming and ordering again!

Wow. This place is fantastic—creative interesting vegan sushi and more. Love the black rice ones. An assortment of 30 rolls is great for two people, though we also got another order of the Black Angel roll and were very full.

THE BEST VEGAN SUSHI I HAVE EVER HAD. I am not exaggerating when I say it's the best vegan sushi I have ever had - the creativity, the taste, the options! We shared a 30 piece platter between two people and it was way more than enough. The portions of sushi pieces were also bigger than at most places which is excellent. I have nothing more to say than that you must try it! It was such a joyful meal - colorful, creative, tasty, an easy 11/10.

This place is a gem. The best sushi experience in Montreal! The decor is so pretty and the dishes were presented with fantastic attention to detail. The food was amazing. We especially loved the vegan tuna royal, the tofu agaidashi, the samurai, dynamite, and perle d'orient rolls. This is a great place to go with friends or on a date! You will not be disappointed ❤️

Amazing 🤩 so good to find vegan sushi with so many options and different varieties. Loved the flavour combinations and felt we have to try more, alas one can eat only so much😄 Highly recommend this vegan sushi place. The banana fritters were the best vegan dessert I’ve ever eaten, so good ! Only the Bombay Sushi wasn’t as good as the rest. Definitely this place warrants a second visit

The food is good if you like vegan Sushi. Can't give more than 2 stars as we had to wait for 45 mins just for 2 rolls (10 pieces). Had I known my quick bite would take this long, I wouldn't have eaten here. If your time is of no value, this would be a 5 star place.

We dropped by to have the tuna Mount Royal and mushroom tartar. The texture and the fried seaweed wrapped around the veggie tuna really elevated the dish with extra taste and texture. The mushroom tartar was presented beautiful with lots of ingredients mixed in. The taste was well balanced and refreshing, and the preparation of the ingredients (charred red pepper) really added the extra touch to the dish. Sauces were balanced with sophisticated taste, and worked well with the two dishes we ordered. Didn’t have the stomach room for other dishes, but definitely would come back for more.

Amazing little hidden gem. Food is a feast for both the eyes and the palate with very friendly and helpful staff. It's our treat whenever we have to go downtown. Highly recommended.

Nice restaurant with good service. We ordered the chefs plate for 2 and it was plenty of food. Great quality of the food but lacked variety in flavours.

Ordered 3 makis (911, black dragon and dynamite) and shared the sushi pizza. Overall the the food was bland and distinctly lacking in critical sushi textures, over compensating with crunchy tempura. While the dynamite was vaguely redemptive, I think people who come expecting a real(ish) sushi experience will be disappointed. The presentation is excellent and maybe some of the other menu options would have been more satisfying. Staff were very friendly, good service and the general ambience of the restaurant is otherwise above average.

One of the best vegan sushi I've ever had! The service was excellent and the chef was kind enough to adjust the recipes based on my food intolerances, so the sushi was gluten- & soy-free. The Black Angel roll was the best!

Excellent food, I’ve never had such fancy vegan sushi in my life! We got an assorted platter to share between 2, and were pretty happy with the variety and portion size. Service was friendly too. If I’d lived in Montreal, I’d have loved to eat my way through their menu!

Excellent food. A bit better than sushi momo which is a bit overhyped. The service is great ( the French server is very hospitable and kind - sorry forgot his name). The best part about their sushi is unlike sushi momo they don't add a lot of mayo inside their sushi rolls. The sushi dessert with fruits inside and ice cream is to die for. Great job. Hope you all open more restaurants and get lots of success. Lots of love. Attacked the dessert when it landed. Didn't click a picture. Have one of 2 sushi leftovers posted here. Don't have a picture of the dumplings in a peanut sauce and the miso soup too. They were amazing as well.

I simply love this place. The sushi is always fresh, delicious and very flavourful. Another great quality about Ohana's, is that they respect food allergies. Best sushi I have even eaten comes from here - consistently, for over the past 3 years. Thank you to the Chef for creating beautiful presentations, and healthy options. :-) MERCI à vous tous chez Ohana.

Excellent vegan sushi!! They impressed my non-vegan friends too. Highly recommend the 30 piece platter for a group of 3. It was quite filling.

loved the Bombay Edit: today I went into the restaurant and ordered the Bombay and the lemongrass soup. I don’t know if I got what I ordered but it was so good! I also noticed someone else ordered a sushi called Paradis that looked good so that’s what I’m getting next time. (Edit: I got it next time and it was sooo good :)) They also say you can bring your own containers for takeout :) (yes I did that and they were very cool about it). I like stopping here either before or after I do my food and cleaning shopping at loco epicerie a few doors down.. it’s become my routine 🥰. Edit edit: I came back again and they changed their recipe for the Bombay. It was very good but defs different than the original. It would be nice to have a choice of both but I’m not going to complain because it seems they have way more new options. I tried the vegan thon mont Royal which was incredible. The texture was just like fish but maybe even fresher. I’m looking forward to trying all the specialties du chef 👩🏻‍🍳

A very very lovely food experience at Ohana. Really delicious makis and steamed raviolis. My favorite was the mushrooms poke! So delicious!! I wish we were living in Montreal so I could go eat there often!! The staff is super nice too! Highly recommended

I honestly loved this place Vegan volcano shushi was bomb Vegan dumplings/ ravioli with that peanut butter sauce was to die for Maki sushi dessert is a must try And finally pad thai was good but it lacked a bit of flavor in my opinion Definitely would go again to try the other stuff

Cute spot with a creative menu. Unfortunately, the rice used in the sushi was mushy and unflavorful, which detracted from the experience.

First vegan sushi restaurant I've tried. I was happy to see so many options! It tastes very close to real sushi, and looks very similar too. I got dynamite with vegan shrimp, tasted pretty good.

There seems to be lots of great vegan sushi options in Montreal. But if you’re having trouble deciding I really recommend Ohana sushi! The staff were friendly and the sushi was amazing. I haven’t had tempura in soo long and this veggie tempura really tasted great.

So impressed by this cute sushi place in the Plateau serving creative plant-based sushi and other Asian fare. Everything is so fresh, tasty, and visually appealing. It's a tiny little restaurant (with a lovely outdoor patio in the summer), very warm and welcoming, and I would 100% recommend this place. The prices are mid-range (expect to spend a bit over 30$ per person, including tax and tip). The service was a bit slow, but maybe it was just a very busy evening. There is a large selection of sushi rolls, including several made with black rice. The easiest (and most budget-friendly) option would be to go for the combo platters, but it's fun to order rolls individually to try out different things. I can't even pick a favorite, everything was so tasty! The rolls are quite big and filling. We ordered 5 rolls for 2 people - we finished everything, but we were stuffed afterwards! I highly recommend this place for beautiful & delicious vegan sushi in the Plateau Mont-Royal!

The most amazing vegan Sushi I've ever tried. I came with no vegan friends and they are gratefully surprised I will recommend this place Even for no vegan. The presentations of the plates are really cute and good looking!

This restaurant and the food is a divine treat not only for vegans but everyone who enjoys tasty love filled food! If you are a meat eater, you will probably forget & not miss that there was no meat or animal by-products in this satisfying experience. I got there late close to closing time, had to wait in line for a restaurant which is a big no way for me but my friend seemed determined so I gave in and waited. Let me tell you that I never line up for a restaurant but this time I did & it was worth every minute waiting! The staff are down to earth and amazing, the decor was bright and cozy and I had the honor of meeting the owner/chef at the end of my meal which was the desert, she was so sweet and now I know why the food was so divinely yummy. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked beautiful and incredibly delicious! My eyes kept lighting up everytime someone else's order came out. The waiter was so kind, patient and ready to answer all our questions. THE FOOD!!!!🤤🤤🤤 OMG, not only was the presentation beautiful but everything looked so delicious and was! There were so many harmonious flavors & textures in my mouth. I felt so great and satisfied on many levels after my meal. I will definitely spread the word & return with people! Thank you O'Hara Sushi Vegan

Superb sushi and very impressive faux fish. Ordered for delivery and everything arrived nicely packed and intact. I have allergies to peanuts/nuts so I called before ordering online and they were very considerate and careful. Will for sure be ordering again, might be my new favourite vegan sushi spot

I really wanted to like this place, but I've tried the sushi from Ohana twice now and both times, it has been underwhelming. Granted, my expectations were high since I am a usual customer at Sushi Momo, but unfortunately, Ohana's sushi just doesn't compare in my opinion. We ordered the 30-piece assorted plate, which came with 5 different rolls. Most of the rolls were quite bland - it doesn't seem like the vegetables were seasoned very well. The tofu was also not marinated enough (pretty surprising and disappointing from a vegan sushi place). Everything was presented very nicely, but the flavour just wasn't there. Looks like we'll be sticking with Momo for future sushi orders.

Small, simple but cute. Very nice staff, great inventive food. I had the kimchi bowl, friends had the sushis and it was all delicious

  • 5/5 Selena L. 2 years ago on Google
Wow, that was reallly delicous. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the service. We had the Black Dragon, the Ohana, the Kamakazi and the Samurai. The Crispy rolls were yummy, but we ordered to much for 2 people... it was really filling. My favourite would be the Ohana and the Samurai. I love everything about it except for the wait. There were many people ordering take out, so the food took really really long to come. I would dock off 1/2 stars for that since there were only 2 tables at that time but our food took forever. I would absolutely recommend.

Was a wonderful experience, the waitress was humble and well informed of the menu. The sushi was delicate and subtle in flavour, the vegan tuna was to die for! I must say closest rendition of sushi/fish I’ve ever had. If your in Montréal and would like to visit a place that really cares for the food and customers, come to Ohana! I will be coming back with my friends and family!

I don’t usually write reviews unless something I tried or have been to exceeds my expectations. This is by far the most unique vegan sushi me and my boyfriend have ever tried. We were surprised on how well all ingredients were mixed together to reach these unusual and delicious flavours. Thank you so much for your service and food! This is definitely something that will remember from our trip.
