It's a great patio to sit and have brunch, while people watching in the Old Port of Montreal. Ordered the Gravlax salmon benedectin and it was awesome! The hollandaise sauce was the perfect constancy and tasted great. You could taste the salmon but it wasn't overpowering. We ordered the rouge sangria which had a nice fruity flavour, yet you could still taste and feel the alcohol. I'll definitely be going back the next time I'm in Montreal.

5 stars for the service alone. I was here and just needed a snack before my flight. I ordered just fries and water. Usually when you order things like this you get treated a little poorly, but the server was excellent, he took very good care of us. He gave us water refills and everything. Left him a big tip I so appreciated that. I would definitely come back here for sure.

The service was the standout of my experience. We got the lobster club sandwich and the lobster roll. Both were delicious and the portion size was also good, but the sandwich had a small amount of lobster. After I sent it back the reply from the kitchen was that the amount was correct. I disappointedly continued eating, but later the manager brought more lobster and at the end we received a discount on the item. I could not be happier with how we were treated! I would recommend that the kitchen change their practice. This would have made the experience much more enjoyable!

In a busy/touristy area but a super cute street. Not a huge lunch menu but smartly done. I got a lobster roll (with salad and fries) for about $32(?). Not cheap but but not outrageous and I thought it was good quality and given the tourist trap type area, reasonable. The lobster in the roll was plentiful, not overdressed and very fresh. The salad and fries were both very good as well. Enjoyed a seat on the patio which was well covered with umbrellas for shade. Staff was very nice. Seamlessly switching from French to English depending on the table. Enjoyed my lunch, would recommend if in the area and needing some food. Restaurant inside looked cute as well. Bathroom downstairs and around the corner connected to another restaurant. They also had a rooftop spot as well but I did not check that out.

Fantastic seafood. My wife had the lobster roll and I had the crab BLT. You can really taste how fresh the food is. Neither dish had a lot of mayonnaise so it really brought out the lobster and crab without being too seafoody tasting. The salad and the fries it came with rounded out the meal nicely and made for a perfect lunch. Good service as well.

This lobster place was lovely. I was walking around looking for dinner when I passed this little gem. I saw it was a lobster restaurant so I had to try it! I ordered the lobster ravioli and it was absolutely amazing. I would highly recommend this place for a bite to eat if you are a lobster fan. The menu was great. My only complaint is that I only ate one meal there! There was so many good looking things on the menu that 100% when I go back I will need to try more dishes by them! Fantastic ! 5 out of 5.

Had a great brunch! The poutine was a classic dish and the donut was fluffy and perfectly glazed. Paired it with a refreshing pale ale. Cozy ambiance and friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Had posters, fish and chips, crab mac and cheese, and crab poutine. Food was delicious and portions were good. Staff was wonderful. Plaisant, polite, and quick. My cup was always refilled with water quickly. It was a bit on the expensive side, but considering the quality and location, I think it is a bit justifiable. Loved it, and will go there ago.

The first time we went for brunch, we really enjoyed our dishes. Very creative breakfast dishes and super delicious especially the pancakes. The prices were very reasonable and the portion was a great size. We had an excellent experience so we went back a second time. This time for lunch. I ordered a salmon which unfortunately had bones. I choked on the salmon bones and I couldn’t get it down with water. Flagged the server who didn’t even care to fix the problem. The potatoes were also burned. It took several complaints before the server finally said she would give us a 20% discount off our bill for the experience. That second visit just ruined our first impression of the restaurant.

We stopped in for lunch after a walking tour. Had no idea this place existed before today. IT was busy, but they allowed us in without a reservation. Considering how busy it was, I would recommend making a reservation. The atmosphere was awesome for such a small space. The staff was super friendly and courteous. The Lobster Poutine was great, and the Mrs. had the Lobster Mac n Cheese. The salad we ordered was also good, fried goat cheese was a nice touch. Would highly recommend this place.

One of the greatest seafood dinners. The oysters are absolutely amazing and everything is well presented. We had the lobster risotto and the seafood poutine which was extremely well prepared and tasty. Our server Yanna and the hostess were so sweet and made awesome drinks. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be back.

Really excellent food and service. We had the risotto, lobster ravioli, and lobster and snow crab poutine. I don't think I could pick a favorite dish as all of them were delicious. Their cocktails were also great. It's best to book ahead of time in the summer.

I was very hungry when I entered the restaurant. However, I still can not enjoy the food as I expected. I ordered lobster roll. The bread is had to chew and the fries are a little bit salty. Then for the lobster, the taste is so thin and I would like to say a hot dog is more flavorful than it. Maybe the only advantage of this meal is the lobster itself. What can I say, the item that gives me the deepest impression is the tomato sauce lol

Visited once as a traveller. Restaurant was cozy and friendly. Staff were very pleasant and attentive. Meals came out relatively quickly. Menu had a variety of options although mostly all seafood in case someone in your party doesn't like seafood. Prices were a bit on the higher side but relatively reasonable. The meals were tasty with no complaints.

Excellent, best dinner we had here in Montreal. Very nice staff, lovely decoration, soft music, quiet ambiance, a place where we can enjoy our meal and actually have a conversation with someone! Our lobster rolls were delicious and very generously garnished. The mousse aux chocolats was also awesome. Highly recommended! We loved it!

I came here with friends and my kids. We had dinner and the experience was pleasant in general. The waiter had a bit of attitude but despite that we had a good time. The dishes were good but I expected better compared to the price I paid. Parking can be difficult due thier location in a busy area in Old Port.

Fresh seafood and never a bad meal! Great intimate atmosphere. Highly recommend the grilled lobster and the lobster ravioli! We eat here at least once every time we come to Montreal (5-6 times a year).

The service, the atmosphere, and the vibe were great, but unfortunately my partner and I were very disappointed with the food. We excitedly ordered the lobster poutine and the lobster mac n’ cheese, but to our disappointment the poutine and the mac n’ cheese were very bland in taste. The only part with flavour was the seafood. Each dish cost $30 plus tax and tip so we were expecting more flavour throughout for such a high price.

Great time at Pincette with the exquisite service of Aurelia. We had the seared scallops with very fresh sauce. Shared the lobster tail risotto + the lobster and snow crab poutine. Food was full of flavors and well-balanced. Will definitely come back to enjoy more dishes in the menu.

I was deceived with this place. I was under the impression this was a busy resto (given I could not get seats even at the oddest hour) I finally booked for 4pm, Friday afternoon. The food was sub optimal and not on the fresh side. This is more of a tourist trap rather than a go to place. Unfortunately I do not recommend.

It was a busy dinner time but we were able to walk in and be seated right away (outdoor patio)! The server was nice and attentive. All of the foods we ordered were excellent! The price was right too. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are in Montreal.

My friend and I went there for lunch and we didn't know there were two separate menus for lunch and dinner. I ordered a snow crab club sandwich and I loved it! Everything in my dish was fresh and the fries were tasty! The salad was a bit bland, I would have loved a bit more dressing on it. Our waitress was super friendly! We'll come back to try their dinner menu 😊

Great food and aesthetics. The GOURMAND was great. The amount of food you got is VERY generous. The waiter was very friendly and helpful as well. The 'Poutine de homard et crabe des neiges' was loaded with fries but wished there was more lobster. The beer was great! The food price matches what you'd buy in the surrounding restaurants. So, no complaints. Expect to spend a good amount depending on what you get. The bathroom is downstairs and it looks to be shared with another restaurant/bar. It's quite interesting. Bathrooms are well maintained and clean. The waiter, staff and crew was great. Waiter definitely deserves an extra tip as we got our water refilled and they came by around to check up. Seating isn't too tight but don't expect to have immediate tables ready for your group if you have a group more than 4-5 people. There is seating outside as well. Would recommend eating here. Beer is solid. Food is great. Aesthetics are amazing!

Over the summer we went on a quick weekend trip to Montreal. We were searching for seafood restaurant near old Montreal and found Pincette. Although the restaurant was busy they made space for us at the bar and we had one of the best dinners we had in a very long time. Not only were the food and drinks amazing (lobster poutine and raw bar oysters), but the employees were absolutely wonderful and made the experience that much better. Gabriel was the bar tender while we were there and he was so much fun to talk to. The drinks he made were phenomenal and he even told us the story behind how they were created. Paula was also amazing and gave us a ton of advice on must see things in the city. If it weren't for her we would have never gone to the dome to see the penguins which was another highlight of our trip. We loved the experience so much that we went back the following day for brunch. Highly recommend Pincette if you're in the area!

I got the lobster poutine here. It was amazing. It was worth it. I could finish the whole thing but it would not be able to walk out of the restaurant. The amount of cheese curds in the poutine was god like and they were all tasty. The poutine was hot and comforting for a cool Montreal cloudy day.

Pincette - Bar à Homard is a chic East Coast lobster shack located in Old Montreal, which I visited on a Sunday evening in February. The restaurant is conveniently located on St-Paul Street near the famous Place Jacques-Cartier. It features a variety of unique dishes, including lobster poutine, lobster pasta, and lobster mac and cheese, as well as classic dishes such as lobster rolls and lobster entire. The menu also offers seafood platters, fish and chips, clam linguine, and oysters. Upon arriving at the restaurant without a reservation, I was seated at the restaurant bar, which was of standard size. I tried three dishes, starting with the Tataki Thon, which was standard, well presented, but lacked in flavor. The Quedille Homard was a standout dish, with good presentation, excellent taste, and high quality. The Queue Homard was also very good, with an amazing combination of flavors and a demonstration of the chefs' expertise in handling lobster. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was nice, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However, I had to wait 40 minutes for the main dishes, which was longer than expected, but given the quality of the food, it was worth the wait. The restaurant is probably intended for having a few drinks while waiting, which is just perfect. Overall, I highly recommend Pincette - Bar à Homard for anyone looking to enjoy good food in a warm and intimate atmosphere. It's best to make a reservation, especially if you're planning to stay for a while or going with your partner. Additionally, it's best to stick with the lobster dishes. The bill without tip came to 89.68 CAD, which was fair for the quality of food and service.

Very expensive for very mid food. $30 seafood poutine and it was an embarrassment. The gravy was way too thin and there was barely any lobster. I feel bad for all tourists that experience Montreal poutine for the first time at this awful restaurant (and completely overpay for it!) The lobster roll meal was tiny and again barely any lobster and was $31. Absolute scam. My friend got the Hampton iced tea cocktail it was awful. So different from what Hampton ice tea should be. She had a sip and couldn’t drink any more. It was $14… The service was decent which is the only reason for the extra star. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. There are SO much better options for seafood!!

Pincette was hands down the best food experience that we had during our time in Montrèal. Not only was the food absolutely amazing, our server Eve was a delight. We ordered oysters for the first time ever and Eve was very helpful with that experience. The restaurant is cute and clean and just made for a very cozy vibe. I would highly recommend Pincette to anyone looking for a delicious seafood experience!

Over all GOOD experience needs a bit more of fine tuning. About: They were building the restaurant in the spring and unfortunately they did only dinner time during the summer To my surprise today, they where open for lunch and they even do breakfast, keep in mind that it is part of a hotel, so that make sense. The phone number had a full voicemail box with no possibility to talk to anyone there. Finally the opening time on the website is different that on Google...May add the option: Hours or services may differ Food: I had the menu du jour. -The smoked mackerel tartinade was very nice and well presented. The salad dressing was tasty, but only 1 small piece of caramelized onion. -Sea food Fricassé was not bad but could be much improved if a few bits of lobster would be added, considering they pretend to be a lobster bar! Did not know that mussels were considered as sea food either. Presentation was appealing and creative. Service: My waiter Eve, was very cordial and attentive. Note to the M-D', I bit more in depth training to front of the house about the menu and ingredients would make the experience much better, more professional. I sat outside on the patio on the oldest street in Montréal and that was GREAT. Nice tableware, real tissue napkins (saving 1 tree at a time), sturdy tables, but quite inconfortable seats. In my opinion, I found the food pricing very adequate for what it was, too bad the wine is so expensive. I will go back and try more of that menu!

Parts of our meal were fabulous, others not so much. Menu is very interesting but not executed well. Servers were friendly but a little inattentive. I mentioned that the lobster was over cooked while my steak was nailed perfectly and received a polite "I'll let the kitchen know." Found the cheese cake heavy and boring. It would have been nice to have been offered a small token for the over cooked lobster.

Highly recommend this seafood restaurant. Esthetically very nice decor. The food is amazing, I've tried many things on the menu and the seafood is always so fresh. They also have different kinds of oysters and you can order according to your liking, I can say they have the freshest oysters here. My favourite dish that I have ordered was the lobster risotto and it was devine. The risotto was creamy but not heavy with the perfect amount of lobster tail. I can say that the plates here are a big portion, so it will satisfy your appetite. Depending on when you go but weekend are usually very busy which is understandable. Service can be sometimes slow. Staff is always nice. One of the best Caesars I've had are here, so I definitely suggest to get some if you love Caesars like I do. It also comes with a crab leg. Definitely a must try in the old port if you are craving good seafood. They have pretty much every seafood there is. I highly recommend to small or big groups with reservation.

Food was alright. I don't think the lobster roll was that great as the bread was fried with Butter. If it was supposed to be then wow, I've very not happy. The fries were good. Service was alright and the place is great, it's old Montreal on the street.

Very delicious, fresh lobster at an incredibly reasonable price. We had the lobster tail + risotto, lobster mac&cheese and scallops - highly recommend! Our server Antoine made us feel at home. A spot to checkout the next time you’re in Montreal!
