Bar
à
Homard
is
a
chic
East
Coast
lobster
shack
located
in
Old
Montreal,
which
I
visited
on
a
Sunday
evening
in
February.
The
restaurant
is
conveniently
located
on
St-Paul
Street
near
the
famous
Place
Jacques-Cartier.
It
features
a
variety
of
unique
dishes,
including
lobster
poutine,
lobster
pasta,
and
lobster
mac
and
cheese,
as
well
as
classic
dishes
such
as
lobster
rolls
and
lobster
entire.
The
menu
also
offers
seafood
platters,
fish
and
chips,
clam
linguine,
and
oysters.
Upon
arriving
at
the
restaurant
without
a
reservation,
I
was
seated
at
the
restaurant
bar,
which
was
of
standard
size.
I
tried
three
dishes,
starting
with
the
Tataki
Thon,
which
was
standard,
well
presented,
but
lacked
in
flavor.
The
Quedille
Homard
was
a
standout
dish,
with
good
presentation,
excellent
taste,
and
high
quality.
The
Queue
Homard
was
also
very
good,
with
an
amazing
combination
of
flavors
and
a
demonstration
of
the
chefs'
expertise
in
handling
lobster.
The
atmosphere
inside
the
restaurant
was
nice,
and
the
staff
was
friendly
and
accommodating.
However,
I
had
to
wait
40
minutes
for
the
main
dishes,
which
was
longer
than
expected,
but
given
the
quality
of
the
food,
it
was
worth
the
wait.
The
restaurant
is
probably
intended
for
having
a
few
drinks
while
waiting,
which
is
just
perfect.
Overall,
I
highly
recommend

Bar
à
Homard
for
anyone
looking
to
enjoy
good
food
in
a
warm
and
intimate
atmosphere.
It's
best
to
make
a
reservation,
especially
if
you're
planning
to
stay
for
a
while
or
going
with
your
partner.
Additionally,
it's
best
to
stick
with
the
lobster
dishes.
The
bill
without
tip
came
to
89.68
CAD,
which
was
fair
for
the
quality
of
food
and
service.
