This place has always been special for me. A place 50 km from Moscow where fascist tanks were stopped. The place where Moscow was saved... Now there is an eternal flame, a church, a military history museum and an open-air exhibition. And 20 years ago it was a field with several tanks and a T34 tank visible on a hill right from the Volokolamsk highway. We always stopped here in May, touched the anti-tank hedgehogs, stroked the cold metal of the tanks, laid flowers and remembered those who defended the Volokolamsk direction. We always listened to grandfather’s stories about our village when the Germans entered it, we listened and did not understand how this could be? After all, the village is only 60 km from Moscow. And now, when I bring my children here, for some reason I also tell them not about the Lenino-Snegirevsky memorial complex, but about the bloody battles 50 km from Moscow near Snegiri. Everything here is so dear and memorable to me. Just like I remember from childhood. Perhaps someone may not find it a very interesting idea to go here on purpose, then you can combine the trip with a visit to the Arkhangelskoye estate, the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology or the New Jerusalem Monastery. But it’s simply impossible to be nearby and not stop by.

The place of glory of our ancestors in the fight against fascist invaders. 41 km, where German troops stopped. An interesting exhibition in an open area; there would be more in the building itself if it weren’t for the fire. It’s good that the building itself and the exhibits were restored.

A good open-air museum, there is also a room, but there is a fee and it probably makes sense to go there, it’s more interesting for children to climb tanks and guns, there is an eternal flame, a thorn like on the border, in a word, they tried their best when they made the park, they liked everything, the children are happy , the only question is about the pyramids, do historians still admit that we had them in Rus'? (a rhetorical question) A surprise from a megaphone is hidden in one of the pyramids, an autopsy in the 40th year, it seems.

And the most interesting thing is that I watched tanks for free Come and see, you can get inside some of the tanks. Tanks from the Second World War, German, American and of course ours. Happy viewing everyone.

Last year, many new exhibits were added to the main exhibition - artillery pieces. You can touch all the exhibits and look at them up close; the most dexterous ones can climb them. Each piece of equipment has its own combat history. Free admission.

A small open-air area, but a fairly decent number of tanks and guns. Children are free to climb and look. The museum itself is interesting, but it is better with a guide. Unfortunately, there are no signs for each tank or gun, but there are general stands with the names and descriptions of objects.

Great, everyone should visit and remember the feat of our grandfathers! Useful for children to look, touch and try to understand the greatness of the Victory! And also find out that Alexander Matrosov’s feat was accomplished much earlier near Moscow!
