This place is massive. So many options for seating, indoor and outdoor. The atmosphere is very laid back, it seems like the type of place you'd randomly stumble upon and sit in to chat with friends over drinks and some light food. The service during Covid allows you to order online on your phone and it will send the order to the kitchen, which is really neat. The service is laid back but helpful and very friendly, it suits the chill vibe. The food itself is alright, I liked the wings the most. It was a little sweet in the way that American BBQ sauce is sweet, but it wasn't bad at all. To enter and exit the establishment, there is a set of stairs that need to be climbed. As far as I know, I didn't see any ramps, so it may be challenging for those with walking difficulties and whatnot. I'll probably come back to try some of the other menu items and update the review when I'm in the area.

I’ve lived 100m from the forest lodge for nigh on 12 months now and have only just discovered the decadence that is this hotel. I decided to go for the chicken schnitzel cause it’s a pretty safe bet in general. Unbeknownst to me at the time of order did I know that I would be transported to Flavour and Crunch town. The service was efficient and the schnitty was crisper than fresh bank note. You could tell it hadn’t been sitting on the shelf like my Under 10’s best and fairest trophy. Super impressed with the overall experience and will definitely be back on Monday for the $15 rump steak my missus had (also incredible).

A very nice pub with friendly staff. Clean and spacious but limited street parking. Order rare steaks if you like medium as mine was overdone. The chips and salad was nice as was the pepper sauce and my mate's mushroom sauce was good. Not bad value for money.

Love the Sunday roasted pork belly..very yummy ever!, good drinks and friendly hospitality. Easy to get car parking nearby. Ordered takeaway. The food is great as well as dining. But remember to double-check the food and sauce with them again before you leave.

Great old Sydney Pub the way they used to be before Poker Machines

You get 10GB wifi per month. The bathrooms stink. The hot water in the shower lasts a minute. The motion sensor lights in the bathroom switch off every thirty seconds and can't sense you when you're in the shower. There is one washer and dryer thats kinda expensive for how small they are ($3 each). The rooms are too small if you're sharing. But its near a bus stop so thats nice. Also the pub downstairs is good.

After a long time since my last visit, we chose to have a the Sunday roast and a couple of drinks. Considering the price of the meal, it was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Also, a large range of good drink choices. I don't know why I left it so long.

The locals know where to get a great feed and a large selection of craft beers. The food menu is big enough to offer a wide variety of dishes, ranging from pub grub, currys, pastas, Asian & even a few tempting deserts. The craft beer available will again cater for most pallets and the wine list isn’t too shabby. Offering a relaxed local feel happy to spend the afternoon chatting, drinking and eating here. Friendly attentive service.

Love coming here for lunch with colleagues. Great food and service! My favourite is pizza - pork belly or Spanish Inquisition (photos below); also love their spaghetti marinara. The salmon dish has always been popular with my colleagues, as well as various salads.

Cool quiet place to enjoy a quick chicken parmie for lunch. Unwind on the gutter table. Salad and chips is beautiful. Wish the chicken was more tender though… Felt like frozen and microwaved.

Fantastic selection of beer on tap! Great little front bar. Kid friendly as well. Staff are super friendly, greeting every person that walked through the door. Meals were solid counter food, cheese burger was absolutely fantastic. Only 5 min walk from RPA hospital.

Sensational selection of fresh craft beer, tap list rotating very frequently, they even do growler fills which is becoming a rarity. Bar staff were very very friendly and knowledgeable on the beers, too. I will definitely be returning soon.

Good local pub with down to earth staff. Perfect place to have a quiet beer and catch-up with a friend, without having to deal with loud crowds of people. Easy to access of Parramatta Road and plenty of pubs nearby If a pub crawl is on the cards.

As a local pub this is incredible. Great beer range (proper stout on tap...a rare thing these days) and we had the fried chicken pockets which were mouth watering. Not to mention the fact that the 'tap here to order' thing in the table rick rolled me. Well worth the visit. I'm an old man and I suddenly found myself wanting to go back to uni so I could call this my local.

You come to a pub to watch the World Cup 2022 (Yes Mr Manager: the world cup is the biggest sport event on earth) and there is the lack of initiative on the part of staff to fix the issue and then little customer care to apologise and clarify there is no way to put it on TV. We were just left there wondering if they were still wondering about a solution or they did not care anymore. The fact that your staff is young and inexperienced is not an excuse to this kind of indolence. Good luck as I'm never to set foot in your pub again. Bye!

The experience was alright. The food was served in good portion. It is great for group of people as it provide plenty space and also divided so it gives more privacy if you have parties or occasion. 🥳 We got steak with mushroom sauce and chicken parmigiana. 🥩🍗 Considering we were eating at a pub, the food was ok, nothing special. We did enjoy our time as they were not many people on a Tuesday, plenty of seats and space to enjoy. Seeing some families with children was nice as well, so you can bring your family and enjoy some pub food together. 😉

Back in the day, the local pub was a gathering place for locals with decent and reasonably priced meals, a welcoming atmosphere to create a cross-section of people from the local area. Well, the Forest Lodge (flodge) is a perfect time capsule of a time past, an independent environment where you will enjoy meals in the surroundings from a by-gone era. Best shared with friends, or create new friends at the flodge.

Highly recommend Flodge, a lovely pub with homely yet modern vibes and the food is really good. They have lots of vegan options too. I had my party here in the back room, it was the perfect venue, Millie was so lovely answering all my questions and working with my requests for the night. The staff on the night were all so helpful and attentive. 10/10 recommend having a function there or going there for dinner.

We had a booking for over 50 people for an end-of-season dinner and the night was a great success. The food was very tasty & in great portions, the fried chicken burger was fab, the chili pork belly was hot but very nice and the Parmi was great. The place was quite busy and the service from their staff was excellent. The only drawback is the parking in the area but eventually you get a spot but it's definitely a place I would recommend. Thanks for a great night!

Amazing selection of beers at this pub, which are constantly changing. So there's always something new to try. The food is great, especially for a pub. Pizzas, poke and the zucchini noodles are probably the best meals on the menu! Delicious.

I came here because of all the good reviews and since prices were pretty cheap, but when I came they said they stopped serving food after 9.30pm. I wish this was mentioned clearly somewhere so I wouldn't be left hungry and with my time wasted.

Spacious, plenty of seating to go around and with some of the most hospitable staff members out. Pretty inexpensive food, great variety of liquor to choose from and excellent company, doesn't get too busy or rowdy in comparison to others nearby.

Great vibe. Looks divey in the outside, but go in, you won't regret!

I’ve been here several times and the vibe, food and service has been consistently great. They have a great rotating selection of craft beers and there is something for most people food wise - vego, comfort food, healthy food. The trivia night is also great! Photo doesn’t do it justice but this was tonight’s salmon poke bowl with a garage project stout.

There is literally nothing about this place that I don't love. Perfect pub standards coming from the kitchen, great selection of beers, low key vibe and friendly people.
