Had the munich platter ($79) which they’ve since taken out from the menu. Do take note that they have a Sunday surcharge of 10% which they don’t disclose till you’ve paid. Store was pretty empty for Sunday lunch. Good location, which seems to be attractive to tourists. Unfortunately, the dish we had was terrible. The meat seemed over cooked, leading it to be dry and tough. We had a hard time chewing them and swallowing it. Chicken was too salty, but it’s better than the flavourless pork that made it worse with the tough texture. They do have musicians playing nice music that helps bring in customers. You also have to order by scanning a QR code, something to note for foreigners. We asked to order in person but we had to go through a hassle of going to the bar to make the order and payment, staffs weren’t helpful as well.

A very lively ambience on a Saturday night. This venue is more suited for large groups. The staff were attentive and polite. I am not a beer drinker at all but I absolutely loved the Mango Bier. The crumbed chicken breast schnitzel was very tasty but the fries were very disproportionate. The mushroom sauce was good though. The trio of German sausages was served with a delicious mash and mustard sauce. The cheese kransky and pepper & garlic kielbasa sausages were tasty but the frankfurter wasn’t so great.

As someone born and bred in Munich I have enjoyed my dinner at this place. Lovely location in the maze of The Rocks. The schnitzel is acceptable but not comparable to a genuine Bavarian/Austrian schnitzel. I was positively surprised by the potato salad. The litre of Bavarian beer went down well but it’s a proud $25! Around $7 more than what you would actually pay at Oktoberfest, which is already overpriced. Something that many restaurants and bars get wrong is the music mix. I was happy to hear some traditional Bavarian tunes amongst current German language songs and English language songs. Well done to the person responsible 👍

Really lively venue with oompah band playing a mixture of Bavarian music and great classics. We ordered the pork knuckle and a schnitzel dish. The pork knuckle crackling was excellent but the rest was tasty but a bit too dry. The schnitzel was good, moist and the portion size generous. Potato options are the traditional Bavarian potato salad or mash. Overall a fun night out with plenty of interaction with guests from the band and competitions to get involved in. Metered street parking is available on Argyle Street but not the easiest to come by.

Super nice vibe !!! Absolutely love the live band, they are full of energy. The food arrived really soon. We love the pork knuckles. However, the sirloin steak was a bit tough so we were not very impressed. The pork belly of the platter was also nice. We wanted to order mango beer but unfortunately it was sold out. So we tried another fruity beer but it was quite delicious. But the dark lager was a bit too sweet. Overall it is a nice place for the friends to gather.

Amazing place. Very authentic interior Delicious food Fantastic team Value for money is really great I had an amazing time with the girls early evening on Sunday. The place is huge. Instead of spreading people, everyone was served in one area. The noise of the group next to us made it impossible to communicate.

LOST ITS OLD CHARM. Beers is decent but the food gets tiresome and oily. You get better service at your local mcdonalds than here, staff rude and got our orders wrong till we have to show them the ordered invoice.

I’ve been to beginning of this year. The restaurant ambience was typical western styled one. The dishes was good in moderation and the server was kind. Even when I asked to take a picture of us, she let us take a photo pleasingly. Furthermore the price was quite reasonable compared to other spots.

It's a good atmosphere, great location. We were expecting a lot from the looks of the food as well. The main problem is I have been sitting here for 45 minutes, trying to entertain my kids while we are still waiting for food. No servers have come to let us know how long it will be and we even had to ask for the water to be brought to the table, as the first 30 minutes we had no drinks brought to us....terrible service!

This restaurant is amazing! There was a live band which was such a great vibe. The service was fabulous, everyone was very accommodating. The food was to die for! We got the pork knuckle and it was the most delicious meal I think I’ve ever had! I think this place is the perfect place for a group of people or even for a date night! Highly recommend!

Absolutely love the vibe! Service was nice, the waitress was very attentive. The food was AWESOME! We ordered a Munich platter for 2 people, kasespatzle, drinks and apple strudel for dessert. Every thing came out within 10-12 minutes (except dessert ofc), the crispy pork knuckle was undoubtedly the highlight, it was juicy and soft. Highly recommend and would definitely coming back.

I went to dinner with my family, there were 9 of us and they were very accommodating. We were seated indoors and it was very busy and hence very loud. The music combined with the full room can be overwhelming, so if you are looking for a quieter dinner maybe ask to sit outside. Otherwise the food was amazing, however a bit on the higher price range. The platters were great for sharing, my favourite was the best wurst platter. I have seen some saying that portion sizes are small, however once you start eating it fills you up quick.

We were extremely impressed with our experience at this great German restaurant. Lots of amazing decorations and a very warm welcoming feel to the place. All the food was so delicious and wholesome, drinks were good and the staff were lovely. Highly recommended

(Translated by Google) A place where you can experience various German cultures in one place. As a German beer store, it also sells a variety of German beers, as well as dishes such as Haksen and Sausage. Indoors and musicians playing German music around the table also contribute to the unique atmosphere. Long queues and high prices are flawed, but drinking a beer at an outdoor table in the Rocks Alley makes it a place to spend enough.

Great beer and food but service could use an improvement. Security at the door was rude (dude with the pony tail), hit me in the shoulder to ask for how many people we needed a table for. We waited quite a while for our drinks after ordering in the app and when we asked the staff when our food was brought to the table the response was “well how long have you been waiting for?”

Really good German restaraunt. Really good service, and really good food. They cleaned this area really well and is really clean and spacious. Displayed here is the taster meal, fries and wings. All were scrumptious. We hopefully want to dine here every time we go to the city and the rocks.

Love it's Pork Belly and sausage dish, live band music and beer. Sorry to say It's a bit over noisy to my likings. It's a bit hard to have an easy conversation without shouting a bit.

From a tourist's perspective! I first visited it many years back when I was in town, it left a great impression! It was probably a weekend and it was extremely lively and had live band. So this time round when I am in town, I am determined to eat there again. Unfortunately it was a tues night and was quite empty but service is prompt and food is as great as I remembered. I had the platter for 2 and the serving is extremely generous, it was quite hard for us to complete but... it is a happy problem. :p

So full from the ultimate feast - 2 hours of drinks and so much food. Come hungry. Let’s be real though the absolute HIGHLIGHT was the service, enthusiasm, grace and humour from Laurence!! She was fabulous! We also had a GF and alcohol variation and it all was handled beautiful. Again - can’t say enough how hospitable Laurence was - she’s an asset to the team. Bravo! Our team of 6 made for an amazing night out - great for work events. Laurence Laurence Laurence!!! ✨✨✨

Had a great night out dining last night at the Munich Restaurant is Sydney. The Food was top notch; great taste and very generous size meals. I had the Tasting Platter and my wife had the Best Wurst Platter. The Pork Belly was the best I’ve ever had; crispy cracking all over and very succulent meat. The sausages were all fantastic and I give the meal 5 stars. The beers and schnapps were delicious and the atmosphere was fantastic with a great German dining experience. I also have to thank the staff for great service. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The meals came out from the kitchen very quickly and the drinks we barely waited a moment. 5 star service all round. Thank you very much to our waiter Tomas and all the waitresses

First day in Sydney. Chose the Brauhaus based on food and service reviews. I never give 1 star but the service was non-existent. Had the 26$ hotdog and $10 beer. Finished my first beer and was never offered a second. received no water on table. Temp was 30C. No servers came to check on us at any time after food was served. Had to go to counter after waiting 20 min for check to pay the bill. The restaurant was not busy and there were three other groups just as frustrated as us. Pick a different restaurant is my advice.

Always a good experience dining here in Munich Brahaus. Food was served fast, pork belly is recommended, perfectly cooked, yum! My Daughter loves the chicken Parmi. Service was great, the waits are visible, you can call them anytime. I couldn’t complain. Overall best food, great service and the ambiance too.

I have been to this place a number of times in the past few years. Its not as good as it used to be. No more authentic german experience but rather a fake atmosphere. Beers and food are also more commercially oriented than a great German pub. Customer service have declined a lot and you are treated as if you are an annoying patient in a busy emergency department.

I like the atmosphere there, although it is not cheap and not much food varieties. However, their 2 litre beer (cost about $50) is good to share with a few friends. I personally like the mango beer, but they do not control the ratio of mango and beer as the taste is different everytime. The mango flavour sometime is strong, and sometime you barely feel it. Overall, I like it as the German band is good.

Alot of iconic drinks were off the menu which is a real shame, the food and drinks came slow, ordered food the kids meal came first, ordered beer and pritzel, the pritzel came the beer over 10 minutes later, the main came out 30 minutes after ordering however couldn't eat as a family since the kid meal came out 25 minutes prior, food was good though really tasty and very very filling couldn't finish the meal and I do eat a lot , so portion size is fantastic.

Wonderful service and food. Great music to watch passing people traffic. Manager was very helpful and pleasant, Anna looked beautiful and played the typical German waitress part, we will definitely be back.

Food portions and flavours are very similar to the Lowenbrau and Bavarian. You don't need to order a lot as you can share their main dishes in a group to nibble and graze on. I rate it 3 stars as their cutlery and plates were not well cleaned... i didn't mind that the table and chairs were sticky (to add to authenticity and vibe of a bier hall) but there were food traces left from the previous diner on the forks...not very appealing.

Good service. Rang a loud bell to deliver the butterscotch schnapps. Food came out quickly. The pork knuckle was on the small side, but no less tasty or crispy. The pretzel was rather salty, but probably regular by pretzel standards. Good surface area on the schnitzel, which was appropriately crisped.

The atmosphere is great with live German music. It was packed on a Friday night. Great food and big portion. The pork belly and pork knuckles are delicious which skin is crispy and meat is tender inside. Good place for beer too. However, they are too busy and serve the wrong food to our table and there was a bit of misunderstanding between us and their staff. The guy who serve us tried every hard to keep us happy and appreciate their customer care level. Definitely a good place in Sydney to enjoy the German vibe!

Great atmospheric as always - great service and live band are superb. Just very surprised that they up the price and drop the portion at the same time. I guess it is a common post covid inflation of restaurants.

Was a little cold to sit outside (and was raining on and off) and it was a little loud in the hall for my elderly parents - but the manager moved us out to the bar area - he was very accommodating and nothing was too much. The staff and bar staff were also very helpful and friendly. Overall the most satisfying lunch I have had in a long time. Food was perfect. Drinks were fabulous. But biggest standout was the manager. Thank you (Also I disagree with the last review that the portion sizes are smaller - we could barley get through our plates - same as always - food was fresh, served hot and plenty of it) Fresh pretzels a must to try.

Great atmosphere and and a very vibrant venue. The live band is amazing and the night games they organise are good fun. The food portions are super generous & can easily order and share for groups. The wide selection of beers are all very good too. Only thing we didn’t like was how the patrons had to wait outside in cold and rain while the staff slowly check ID and vaccination status.

Their food is nice 4/5 But their service… hmmm I feel minority of their staff are brand new and don’t have proper training. So they nothing about the menu and the food. We ask if the knuckle set contain just a half knuckle or a whole knuckle. 3 waitresses didn’t know and they claimed they would come back with the answer(but failed) 1 male manager-like person gave us a wrong answered - telling as it’s a whole knuckle but actually it’s half. A female manager finally gave us the answer: saying need to pay extra $7 for the whole. Anyway, menu is messy and waiters know nothing about the food, not along gave advice.

Great ambiance inside with live music, and the food is good as well. The mains take a while to arrive, so best to order a few appetisers. We ordered the sampler platter to try all their best sellers. We loved the sweet potato fries as well.

I was there last Friday with family and friends. It's just so lovely to come to a German restaurant in Sydney and meet European faces! The beer was very good and no matter how long we waited for our food... good live music and excellent professional service from our waitress made us forget about time and we just enjoyed being together! Thanks Olga! Danke!

Dined here for a week day lunch. The menu was detailed so we could tell what we were in for. I ate the pork snitchzel and I couldn't fault it. Was cooked perfectly and seasoned to my tastes with generous serving sizes. Everyone else I ate with had great reviews on their dishes plus they couldn't squeeze all the food in. I would highly recommend this venue if you can secure a table outside.

Had dinner here and place was pretty good. Generously large schnitzels, well priced beer and actually very good desserts! Their seating policy is a bit weird since there is a sign that says please wait to be seated but then you can sit anywhere and just order from the table QR code. Enjoyed the view of the harbour bridge and the shade in a roasting Sydney summer afternoon.

We visited Munich Brauhaus on Friday of the Kings birthday long weekend. We walked from Circular Quay through the crowds to 'The Rocks' for some dinner, and we were split whether to have dinner there or go back as all placed were swarmed by Vivid Sydney visitors. As anticipated, Munich Brauhaus was packed too, and most people had bookings. We were told to try if there's a place outside or in the bar area. Luckily, we got a place in the bar. Contrary to our expectations, we got dinner served very quickly, like an efficient place. The staff were very professional and helpful. The old-fashioned industrial look of the restaurant was fantastic and added to the overall charm of the place. The food was delicious too, i was hungry and forgot to take pictures of our dinner.

3rd time back, had a romantic dinner here with my husband recently. Love the atmosphere near the bar area inside! Pity they only have live bands on certain nights - would come back again for some good music. Recommend: Weisbier, platter, original salted pretzel 🥨 Parking is hard around The Rocks so probably worth doing some research before driving. Finish off the night with a walk around the beautiful harbour 🌉

Not sure what happened, but food and service definitely declined since last time I went. Pork knuckle was on the dry side, and everything is so salty, probably to push customers into buying more drinks. Definitely not something I want to come back for nor recommend to friends. Ambience and the singing/activities were excellent as always, but the service itself was a miss. I was talking to a waitress about the menu, then she just turned away to another larger group so I was talking to air. When she came back I ignored her for a bit and she seemingly got annoyed. Feel the karma? She proceeded to use a lecturing tone to tell us that we should stick to QR code order and she won’t take direct orders from us, even when no ice was not an option on the app order system. Tried to order orange juice with no ice three times with different waitresses, nope it was just too hard. Had to ask for cutlery since it was too hard to refill it apparently before service. Plus if you are going to charge a service fee regardless of which ever day, then might as well allow customers to see it, not hide it in size 2 font at the bottom of the menu. Why? you can’t afford to pay your employees properly? Recommendation: warn your customers that each time they pay on the app payment processing fee is required, so they should probably make sure to order in one go. Also if you charge service fee as tip for workers, go back to traditional tipping based on actual good service being provided, not trying to get through as many customers as possible.

We had a blast at Munich! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere was great fun with the German theme and a live band, and the food was fantastic. The Wurst Platter had a selection of juicy sausages with tasty sauces and sides, and we loved the 'Naked Schnitzel' and 'Your All-Time Favourite Parmi'. The Pork Knuckle was a stand out with super crispy crackling, and the Doughtnut Pretzel was so light and fluffy paired with delicious salted caramel sauce!

Munich Brauhaus has been the German food to visit when we are in city. Their popular pork knuckle and beer have been outstanding. Environment 4/5 It was a little bit overcrowded when we visit, and it was a Wednesday night with drone performance for vivid. Service 4/5 As we can order via QR now, we don’t really see any staff serving at the dining area. Dirty plates and glasses are al over the place, but is understood, under-manpowered. What to do? Pork knuckle 4/5 It was very crispy I remember, but this time it was a little bit hard rather than crispy. But in overall is nice. Meat is tender, mashed is perfect, salad is traditional German salad. Barramundi 5/5 If you want something lighter and not salad, this is a good option to go with. The fish is tender and the skin is just perfect. Wine and German beer 5/5 I think other than the beer glass is too large, both are nice. Not used to drinking such a large glass during dinner 😂 the beer is light and flavourful. Very different from local beer. Will I come back again? 4/5 If is not because of the understaffing, very likely I will be back. Recommended dish - pork knuckle - barramundi - german beer

Amongst the beautiful atmosphere the Rocks has to offer, the Munich Brauhaus did not disappoint. Great atmosphere with the band involving the audience. The hats are a brilliant touch and add a good giggle to the experience. Quality of food is great and portion sizes are generous for what you pay. It could do with one or two tables less just to give everyone a bit more breathing space and perhaps in the warmer months the Air Conditioning could be turned on a little higher to help prevent the not so delicious smells of sweat. Keep in mind this place is ultra busy for a reason. If you don't like crowds locations where you have to yell to communicate with your dinner guests, go outside of peak times.

Really fun place to go with a group of friends. We were a group of 20 people and had a Christmas set menu which was super filling and very tasty. The live music and hammer competition were great and hilarious, simply great appropriate entertainment for the location. I also had a stein of beer with mango and it was delicious although very sweet (which might not fit all palates). They allow tasting before buying beer. Only downside was the state of the toilets.

Lovely place to spend time with friends. The food and beer is really yummy. The girls who worked there were wearing Bavarian traditional clothes making a real German environment. I’ll be back for sure. To see the band playing and for joining the German games!!

Food was good but service was very poor. Made reservation on their website but when arrived was told to "sit anywhere". Waited 15 minutes for menus to be told "Oh you need to order from the bar". Looked at the menus and went to order only to be told that they'd take our order from the table. Food was good but waited again for the bill and had to eventually go and ask for it. Seemed that outside tables were getting a lot of attention from waiters but inside tables not so much.

Best pork ribs I've had in a long time and very friendly staff. Loved the men singing outside.

Great beer and amazing atmosphere. It gets so loud in there on weekends, you can barely hear anyone speak, but it’s all part of the experience.

(Translated by Google) Housemates go out to eat together !! It's a German restaurant, so it's exciting and there are a lot of events It's fun ~ !! Although the food is salty, Germans enjoy this kind of food, so it is not bad for Koreans to experience culture ~ !!

Food was fine, but not amazing by any means. The schnitzel was pretty good, but the sides and pretzel were just fine. The drinks menu had a great German beer selection, but that was the main highlight. If you really want German food and beer this is a fine place to go to, but I would reccomend other places in the Rocks to eat dinner.

(Translated by Google) Not necessarily a must. Reasonable food, but far from special. Got a bit of a feeling that a lot of concessions are being made just to accommodate all the audience. Business formulation could be improved considerably.

Group of 5 of us sitting at a table having a meal and having a drink, staff advise us that we had to move. No reserved signage yet apparently a table for 6 was sufficient for 2 people that took our place. Here's a tip. Do not move patrons that are enjoying themselves , mid way through meals, drinks. Very poor.

👍 Best restaurant for South Indian dishes. Worth a try of Biryani. Tried Tandoori Soya today and it was the best I ever had here. Egg65 Biryani was so tasty. Crispy Baby corn was bad seemed like it was not fresh. You should not let your standards drop.
