Great place to visit, beautiful buildings and shrines, good museum with some English explanations, a very nice OTOP shop where you can buy very nice crafted mats, handbags and nice gifts to bring home.

Pleasant area to walk around. Things to see - small museum building displaying local history, buildings dedicated to King Taksin the Great, a hall with a scale replica of early Thai ship. Outside, gardens under development along the riverside beach. At the pier is a former British navy WWII minesweeper HMS Minstrel built 1944 that was later sold to the Thai navy and renamed HTMS Phosamton. It was towed here for restoration in 2012 but now abandoned and settled on the riverbed. There's a variety of food stalls and shaded seating. Nice quiet spot to watch the river. Across the water is Tha Chalaep another small river port which has coastguard patrol vessels, and done good seafood restaurants.

A bit disappointing to be honest. Nice little temple but the Museum was a bit of a let down

This is the place where King Thaksin launched the conquest of the Ayutthaya kingdom, then in the hands of the Burmese. There are several buildings all dedicated to him, a shine, an exhibit on ship building, another on Thaksin himself, a sunk ship preserved underwater and a decommissioned navy fregate docked. Some food sellers, and that's it All exhibits are in Thai only and some of the buildings are in a bad state of disrepair, but it's a nice place with a small beach and a lot of wind.

This place, reminiscent of a shipyard in its title, is essentially a shrine dedicated to paying respects to a significant figure in Thai history, King Taksin Maharaj. Situated by the river, it offers a breezy and serene ambiance, allowing visitors to feel a sense of calm and tranquility.

The museum is old and not well maintained. Instead there is a place of worshipping King Taksin nearby which is the real main attraction for Thai visitors.
