Got
assistance
from
their
frontline
helper,
who
took
my
wife
to
order
on
their
instore
digital
portal.
Erroneously
my
wife
ordered
the
small
cheeseburger,
instead
of
the
big
Mac,
which
I
wanted
to
upsize
to
medium.
She
was
told
that
she
could
not
upsize
the
cheeseburger.
At
that
point
it
would
have
been
helpful
if
the
assistant
had
asked
if
she
wanted
the
Big
Mac,
but
continued
with
the
order.
During
the
order,
my
wife
asked
that
they
exclude
the
sauces
and
pickles,
but
leave
the
rest
on.
The
assistant
assumed
that
we
did
not
want
any
onions
on
the
burger,
and
excluded
that
as
well.
After
15
minutes,
I
got
the
meal,
and
realised
that
it
was
not
what
I
wanted.
Inarguably
we
ordered
the
wrong
burger,
but
on
opening
the
burger,
there
were
no
onions
thereon.
The
only
ingredient
to
a
simple
roll
was
a
dried
out
flat
"burger"
with
some
cheesemelt.
Accompanying
that
was
a
small
chips,
and
three
quarter
coke
which
tasted
like
piss.
80%
water,
the
rest
cola
you
buy
at
Shoprite.
All
for
R39.00.
I
could
just
as
well
have
gone
and
bought
me
a
streetwise
two
at
KFC,
40
meters
away.
I
immediately
got
up
to
go
ask
where
the
onions
were,
because
I
did
not
exclude
it
from
the
meal.
Apparently,
the
slip
showed
no
onions
as
well.
I
clearly
stipulated
that
I
wanted
the
onions.
The
manager
and
assistant
who
helped
us
spoke
Xhosa,
as
if
we
understand
what
they
are
saying,
and
to
me
this
was
an
insult,
as
they
were
stanced
into
saying
anything
bad
about
me.
Staff
should
address
issues
in
front
of
customers
in
English
only.
Anyhow,
a
few
minutes
later,
I
received
a
new
burger.
The
manager
actually
asked
if
they
should
simply
put
onions
on
the
same
burger
I
received,
or
give
me
a
new
burger.
I
asked
her
what
the
protocol
on
food
returns,
and
she
never
answered
but
took
the
burger
away,
and
replaced
it
completely.
On
receiving
this
burger,
the
same
chips
was
in
the
packet.
New
burger,
with
onions.

I
could
just
as
well
left
the
request,
since
MacD
staff
thought
that
onions
are
too
expensive.
I
gave
up.
Ate
the
burger
and
left.
I
certainly
won't
be
going
there
again,
and
looking
at
their
low
footflow
and
sinister
client
base,
they
could
I'll
afford
to
give
clients
meals
like
this.
