Bahauddin Zakariya University was founded in 1975 as Multan University, and is one of the largest universities in Punjab. It was renamed in honour of a Sufi saint Hazrat Baha-ud-din Zakariya (1171-1262). As a degree awarding government university, it offers degree courses in more than 60 majors, including biochemistry pharmacy, engineering, humanities, business administration, law, art, music, IT, agriculture and languages. According to newly published 2016-2017,Times Higher Education ..Ranking System, Bahauddin Zakariya University is ranked within Top 800 most powerful universities worldwide. In 2019, the university was also ranked 8th nationally by General Universities Category of Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).

I graduated in Electrical Engineering back in 2008 from BZU, and again did my MS in 2016, and now doing MBA from this university. The Teaching and administrative staff are mostly involved in Leg pulling and politics against each other. No one is working to improve the quality of Education and facilities on campus. Class rooms lack in basic infrastructure. Wshrooms are pathetic. There is no LMS system for online studies. BZU is the largest university of south punjab but lags behind other universities of Upper Punjab. The students fail to compete with other university graduates in communication skills and other traits.

I studied BS Mathematics from 2016 to 2022 at this university, where the professors are highly experienced and have significant research expertise. Accordingly, a College of Agriculture was established in 1989. The College of Agriculture and its complement, an Engineering College, form an integral part of the University Plan. The College of Engineering & Technology was established in 1994. Department of Commerce was started in November 1996. BBA classes were started in the Department of Business Administration in October 1996. Bachelor of Computer Science was introduced in the Department of Computer Science in November 1996, though Masters in Computer Science (MCS) was already running since 1989. B.Sc. Electrical Engineering class was started in November 1997. Information Technology Centre was established in July 1999. BS and MSc. Telecommunication System was started in January 2004. B.Sc. Bahauddin Zakriya University was a madraissa Initiated by Hazrat Bahaudin Zakriya Multani when he started spreading Islam in Multan. Later in 1975 it was converted to Bahaudin Zakriya University which is now one of the Oldest and pioneers Institutes In not only Multan But in whole of the South Punjab. It has many different Departments which are functioning individually under the names of Colleges within the huge campus of BZU, the infrastructure is Vast that also have a very Vast Auditorium. BZU contains Engineering Colleges , agriculture College , Fine arts College , Management Sciences , Islamic Studies , Law College, and many other social Sciences Colleges.

Top university across South Punjab, when it was built in 1970 named as The University of Multan after a long time it will be changed to The Name of Holy Shrine Hazrat Baha u din Zakaria (Baha u din Zakaria University of Multan). I have also studied here as graduate. The university have almost 1000 acres of area which stains educational departments, students hostels, a fully equipped dispensary clinic, all educational degrees are offer here...
