This place is an absolute 5/5 Hostel except for the location that can be tricky to find at first. Coming to the pro points this is one of the cleanest hostel you will find in Mumbai. The washrooms as well as the dorms are really well maintained. They even provide 2 lockers to store our bags and other stuff. Overall a great value for money spot.

I can’t thank this hostel enough - we arrived to a hotel at 2am in the morning and they turned us away. So we panicked and called this hostel - they let us in at 5am and and the owner stayed up to wait for us and let us in. The hostel is tucked away with a great atmosphere - the staff are amazing and it’s SO CLEAN! by far my favourite hostel in India! Massive thanks to the guys at Forest Hostel! We met some lovely people there and facilities are great! :)

In my 7 years of traveling in hostels I have never seen such a greatly maintained, well stocked, modern and just well done hostel. From the rooms to bathrooms and everything was so well done. Very impressive. The location just surrounding the hostel might give a bad first impression but the hostel facilities itself were fantastic.

Best place to stay for Visa Appointment. Kudos to Keerthi for being such an amazing host ! The staff were friendlier as well. Rooms and washrooms were well maintained and cleaned. I had to extend my checkout time for a while and also had to put my luggage there for a while after checking out. The staff were totally helpful of that !

Nicest and cleanest hostel I stayed in in Bombay They change ur sheets everyday and even give u a new towel everyday! Also the guys and girls working there are a nice and helpful bunch

Cleaner than any other hostel type rooms in entire mumbai. One guy accidentally put his bag on a clean bed that was supposed to be for other person and they changed the entire sheets including the untouched pillow. Washrooms are big, clean and modern. No smoking area. Helpful staff and cheap. You have everything you NEED. Loved the place.

Worst hostel. Rooms are smelly. There is not even one window in the room. I don’t know how they managed to get so many good reviews. I cancelled it immediately after reaching the hostel

Love the staff This is my favorite hostel in the world, I'll leave a detailed review later, it's truly the best in Mumbai. It's detail oriented, there's a gender fluid non-binary restroom, the female dorm is spacious, everywhere is very clean, they care about you alot. I just really enjoy the space and I think the staff is amazing again, such a good team.

I wasn't sure about staying at hostels. As our Airbnb got canceled last minute in Mumbai. we had no other option and we had to go Forrest Hostels. However, the experience turned out to be good. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the property was well-maintained. Overall, it was a nice experience.

The hostel is really good. Very clean and neat. Made some amazing friends here over the months. All the staff members including Sunny, Vikram, Kirti, Devidas, Shweta, Tina, Sachin are really helpful and friendly. Shout out to Ruturaj he is an awesome host. Will definitely recommend this to all my other friends and relatives.

It was really a great experience for me overall !! Completely economical, and worth staying . ❤️ So hygienic and clean ! Washrooms are cleaned almost three times a day . Especially in mixed dorms , the housekeeping staff made sure that girls are very much comfortable using the washrooms as well ! Service staff was very sweet as well. Especially, Devi Das bhaiya was very sweet , he was always available. Beds are bigger than a normal one sitter bed that, it can accommodate a hefty person comfortably 😅😅. Literally, it was so comfortable that , you don't feel like getting up ! It's sheer ambience was so pleasing and pleasant ! We stayed there for four complete days , it was literally so amazingly peaceful ! 😍😍😅 Seriously, this place gives you serious positive vibes !!!! Not kidding !! At least I felt the positive vibes !! 🫶🫶 Ruturaj , the owner of the place was the sweetest ! He personally makes sure that all his guests are completely comfortable, and if not he makes sure he, does something towards it definitely !! 🤩🤩🤩

By far one of the best hostel I’ve stayed at in India. Initially I booked for a total of 4 days but ended up staying for 3 weeks! Everything from the hospitality, the bed, the bathroom is top notch. Bathroom are always clean, ac is always working, and Kirti is always there to help. Location isn’t the best if you are into sightseeing, but great if you are there to relax and wind down.

Well maintained, comfortable, clean and tidy. This is a great place to stay when you are in Mumbai. I was there for five days. I had a great experience. Met some really cool people.

Was here only for half a day but experience with the staff was so-so. Check-in person was completely lost, didn't know where to find my booking. After giving him all details, he found my booking and then asking me to pay since he "could not check the payment status" on his app. Disgraceful attitude and most inconsiderate people at the front desk. Further, they are not willing to accept any ID proof other than Aadhar card. Even the bank doesn't have these kind of rules. Rooms were decent and bed was comfortable. Security was plenty with passcode locks at entrance and safe deposit box. Finally it is like a hostel with co-living space, may not be suitable for all. Will probably visit again provided no inconvenience again for check-in which most basic part of a hotel accommodation.

Lovely rooms! very very clean and well maintained common areas. Ruturaj is a fantastic host and will go out of his way to make sure you get a 6 star experience, I've been to plenty of hostels in my life but this one definetely stood out for me. Lady at the counter isn't very friendly but helpful either way, the support staff is sweet and kind.

We were a group of 6 and we were heading to Mumbai from Chennai for a festival, one of the best hostels I've been to. The whole group legit wanted to extend the stay just because of the hostel. Would 100% appreciate the management and the team. From the first call of enquiry to saying goodbye it's been wholesome. Pros : Accessibility - You have tons of rickshaws neraby, the Bandra railway station is a couple of kms away. Team - You've got a great team at hostel, super sweet. Food & Outlets - You've got tons of great outlets to eat at within budget and your must go to cafes that are a rickshaw ride away. Bunkers - Really comfortable, they have 2 lockers one at your bunker and one sliding locker below. Common area - Spacious, got loads of games, and the perfect space to chill out CLEAN - They have a team that keeps cleaning and nothing better than this Cons : You'll end up extending your stay.

We were 13 students who came to Mumbai for a research study. We stayed a week at forrest hostels. The place and hospitality were unparalleled. Shoutout to Kirti and Ruturaj, they were absolutely wonderful, and so were the staff members. I highly recommend this place.

This is the place to go if you’re coming down to Mumbai as a solo traveler and more so if you’re here for USA visa. Our stay at this place was absolutely amazing. I feel lucky that I stumbled upon this place while searching stays for the New Year! Ruturaj is an amazing host. Kirti, Jayesh, Sunil and each and every one of them at this hostel are just wonderful and extremely hardworking! The place is safe and clean, staff are always on their toes to keep the place in order. It is still a new place and it is getting even better each day! I wish Ruturaj and his team all the best! I'm definitely booking Forrest hostel whenever l'm visiting Mumbai.

It was a great stay. Been there for 5 days. The location is a great plus. You can find a number of local eateries offering affordable South Indian and Maharashtrian dishes. The hostel staff were also friendly. Each bunker bed has its own safe locker. The bathrooms are clean and tidy and are cleaned almost twice a day. We also have a kitchen, where one can cook plus all the ingredients are also there. Best stay nearest to the American consulate and Airport. Booked on Airbnb.

First the good things, the rooms were really clean and the bathroom is amazing, never seen such a nice washroom in an Indian hostel. The bedsheets smell nice and you get a towel, also the bunkbeds are really spacious an comfortable. BUT not really suitable if you are a backpacker, there is no possibility to leave your luggage anywhere after check-out, we had to rent an other location for the day as we wanted to see Mumbai and couldn't leave our backpacks anywhere in the hostel. First hostel where we experienced that. Also the hostel is located in the middle of a market, so you can expect meeting quite a lot of rats on the street.
