It’s a great place overall, with slides, a lazy river and a main pool. But they tend to close the slides and lazy river and everyone is forced to be in one general area. I feel like they should keep everything open because people go there to have fun and how can people have fun of half of the park is closed down?

It was $15 dollars for non residents per person over the age of 3. Cannot bring in outside food. The entire lazy river section was closed including the lounge chairs. When the main pool was over crowded we asked the management if we can at least use the chairs and they decline. An hour later we saw that they had opened up the lounge chairs for everyone to use while the lazy river was still closed.

Just beautiful all around!! ABSOLUTELY loved this water park... It's amazing for kids. The lazy river is relaxing for adults (depth 3ft) and it has a walk in beach style entrance so it's easily accessible. I really appreciate that they have a concession but I would prefer they allow people to bring their own food. I'M OK with it, but if a family of 4 wants to go IT gets EXPENSIVE with the cost of admission alone, to then be forced to purchase food for lunch. NON RESIDENTS $16 EACH LOCKER rental ($2 Additional) Changing rooms with curtain Restrooms Lounge chairs HUGE UMBRELLAS for shade in the kids area. I did not make use of the children's areas, or water slides so I can't really say much other than they looked very nice and the kids were all having a blast. Check it out!! Enjoy.

Barefoot bay is a great place to take the family. It has a lot of things to do. A lazy river, a kids section, several full sized water slides just to name a few. It also has a decently stocked concession stand. The parking is a bit limited because of the layout of the surrounding area but otherwise not too bad to get into the water park.

Great waterpark. Run well & courteous staff. Would like there to be an option for lifejackets on toddlers in the lazy river & slides.

Lots of fun. Plenty of guards. It would be great if other kids/people could be solicited to work, so that the pool could remain open through August.

My boyfriend and I love coming here for their margarita night every year! The park is very clean, well maintained and well set up. Lots of space and seating. There's always been plenty of staff on duty whenever I've been here. I feel that this park is very safe and secure. Entry fee can get pricey if attending with a large group, but it is most definitely worth it! They have a kiddie pool area, they have a rock climbing pool, a lazy river, 3 big water slides and much more! Fun for little kids and adults as well.

A hot day called for a cold activity, so this was the spot that my significant other and I landed! There was free parking here, so that started things off right. Each ticket was $19.00. I was hoping that it would be worth the price. They did allow us to leave and return, so that was good. We just had to get a stamp on our hand. The first big thing to do was obviously to go barefoot! Luckily, we were each able to find a chair to relax at for a bit. The heat started to kick in, so we ended up at the Main Pool for our first activity. There was a rather large crowd of people in there, so after swimming for a small bit, we headed out. For me, it wasn’t worth my time. After that, we explored the Slides that Barefoot Bay had to offer. I tried out the blue enclosed body slide first. This slide was a positive start with a mild thrill. I ended up going on it again later. After this one, I rode the yellow and white open body slide. This one was simply alright. It was pretty slow, so be aware of that. After that one, I grabbed a Single Tube and went down the red and white slide. It was pretty wild. My significant other and I ended up trying it out on a Double Tube not long after and I’d definitely say it was a better experience than being in a Single Tube. We basically flipped over at the end! I’d say these slides were good for all ages. Since we completed all of the slides, we decided to go on the Lazy River. We each tried it out in a Single Tube first. The flow was fantastic in here and it gave an ample opportunity to tan! We even came back later to try it in a Double Tube. I’d say it was much easier to relax with a partner. This was by far the most relaxing part of my day and I recommend it highly. The restroom was clean. I was impressed by that. I expected it to be worse than it was. I’m glad to see that they keep up with areas like that! The staff was strict for the most part, but in a place like this, that was great to see! I’d say they were friendly for the most part. Overall, this was a slow-paced activity for some fun outside. I can’t say I’d come here again since it’s a bit of a drive for me. It was still worth the experience. Date of visit: 6/24/23

Had my daughter's softball league hold a post-season family night after hours, and it was truly a great time and a wonderful place. We'll definitely be making the 30 min. drive to visit again this summer.

They have three slides, a pool, a diving board, a water rock wall, a kitty pool, a concession stand, and a lazy river. They lazy river in my opinion was with the price of admission.

I love coming back to the pool, I have been going for 10 years since I was 5 and coming back this weekend I felt so nostalgic and happy and relieved how I can get to the top of the rock wall which is now more difficult and a lot of fun. 100% on point with safety and such. Only downside, we got our soccer ball stolen from us from someone who just grabbed it and walked out.

πŸ‘ Kracklauer Park has changed a lot since I visited when I was a kid. I can still remember the big metal robot with the slides that would melt your thigh off. This park is a nice little sanctuary in the middle of Mundelein. The playground is modern with tons of room to run. For years this has been...
