Very happy with a place. The food was delicious, we had a duck and sausages with cabbage. As always very pleasing beer selection and quite warm ambience. Money wise the food is worth the price. Special thanks to the welcoming and positive waitress who speaks English. If you want to go to the typical German tavern with waiters wearing national dresses and eat German sausages this is the place!

It was the first restaurant that we went after arriving in Munich, it was a definitey good experience. Food was very delicious. The service was very fast and very friendly. There was a lot of people and it was a little hard to find the place, you can sit anywhere you find some space. Recommendes

One of the best beer and eating experiences in Munich. Lovely vegetarian section on the menu. The roast potatoes with dumplings (which was really like stuffing) were so good. Excellent beers. Service was slow, the staff clearly run off their feet so one of our beers never arrived and we waited for ages for the bill and eventually got up to pay. I felt really sorry for our waitress, who was lovely. Experience was tainted by an older man (maybe a floor manager) who was rude to us when we got up to pay (and I saw others having to do the same). On the whole I would say a visit is a must though. A bit more of a chilled experience than the other beer halls which were noisier and very warm.

Good place to have a Bavarian breakfast. Traditional sausages were good with sweet mustard sauce. Don't know why they serve pretzels with it. They say it comes with it, but there is an extra charge for it when you get your bill. Other dishes in the menu are overpriced, so make sure what you are ordering. It's right opposite McDonald's.

A cool Bavarian tavern that is incredibly busy when I went in at 10 am on a Wednesday. Enjoyed their pork sausage, pretzel with tasty sweet mustard, and great wheat beer. Music was playing during our time and it was a great experience for my first time in Munich. Besides, you have to fight for table as it’s super busy and most expensive tables are reserved. You sometimes had to share s table with a stranger which we did and it was wonderful as that stranger was our food guide for that breakfast 😃

Absolutely awesome, typical Munich beer hall. Amazing food and nice staff make for a great time. Prices are a little higher but inexpensive by Munich standards and portions are filling so it's fine really. Can only recommend!

We stopped in to eat here on our first night in Munich. We were very impressed. The place is deceptively large. There are many rooms and it seems like it must seat 3-400 guests or more. Despite that, we were seated promptly, our orders were taken, and our food came in a reasonable time frame. Everything was delicious!!! My favorite was the Sauerbraten. It was a great experience and we would certainly eat here again.

Great local Bavarian restaurant. Beers are great, food and service. Prices are reasonable. Very lively place that’s noisy and it wasn’t a problem for us. Would definitely come back!

Celebrated our New Year eve in this restaurant. Love the cozy ambient. Surprisingly, my portion of pork knuckles is very small for sharing. But I would say it taste yummy as the skin is crispy. Perfect. Of course, we can't miss their beer.

The food was incredibly delicious! I love to try the typical food in each country or city that we visit. Thank you because we enjoyed our stay in this place.

Went here on a friday evening without a reservation with a group of 7. Sadly it was full. We went the next day around noon and we were lucky there was a table available. As expected our visit was very enjoyable. The beers taste really good. Pro tip: make sure to reserve a table before you go!

Really enjoyed the feeling here compared to some of the more touristy versions of a beer house. The food was great, albeit a bit overly salty this day

Very good place to eat traditional bavarian food. A lot of food so be careful what you order. We had the Josefi-Schnitzel and the Kaiserschmarrn, which can definitely recommend.

My wife and I visited Munich for the first time from USA. We enjoyed many restaurants, but agree this was our favorite. Had dinner here on three occasions. Excellent food, beer, and service. Enjoyed ribs, venison, and meatballs. Wonderful potato salad. Wish we had the opportunity to try more dishes and will do so when we return. Anyone giving this establishment a one star review is most likely a moron.

Nice restaurant near the middle of town here. Was advised by someone else to try the pork knuckle here. Pretty disappointed in the dish personally, however I don't think it's because they did it bad, it's more of I think the dish it's self is a let down. I wanted to try it before I left Munich. Service was good and atmosphere was great sitting outside.

Food was good, but... We were waiting for at least half hour untill the waitress finally came to ask us if we want to drink and eat something. Of course, on the table was no menu so you can't even know what they offer. All the time she was going to all neighbour tables but ignoring our. Food was comming 3 times (we were 3 person there) with 10 minutes between each time. Again, it was so obvious that the waitress is ignoring us. She was going to each table like 10 and more times and to us not at all. I am not sure if that was a bit discriminatory, but it was a bad experience. She left us with bad feeling.

What a place to visit in the center of Munich! It was suggested to me by locals that you can find the best Weißbier here. As busy as it gets, but people there are always friendly with a smile on their face. The beer is great And the food was also worth the visit. Definitely a must on your checklist for Munich!

Quite dark and loud ambient. I have ordered pork roast with sauerkraut. The meat was surprisingly dry and chewy, sauerkraut overloaded with spices, the sauce okay. The restaurant was clearly understaffed, the personnel under great pressure.

Great spot for Weiss beers and food!

  • 5/5 Björn R. 10 months ago on Google
Another pleasant visit at the "Schneider Brauhaus". Aventinus Schweinebraten in combination with a Aventinus Weißbier was delicious. Especially during the week one finds easily seating. The waitresses know how to handle guests, which already enjoyed a little bit too much beer in a professional way, so that other guests barely recognise minor incidents.

Great food and atmosphere! As others’ reviews, we decided to have a dinner here. We could enjoy MUNICH taste, especially the sausages were delicious, with great beer! Especially the red hair woman’s service was really nice and we had a great time thanks to her.

Amazing food. Fast service and clean. Although toilets could be a little cleaner.

  • 5/5 Apolo F. 9 months ago on Google
The place is really nice, tasty food and a great Bavarian ambient! The service was really good, we came twice (terrace and inside the restaurant) and both were really good experiences! We try the schnitzel, schewinshaxe, Herzhafte Kartoffelsupe and the Pikantes Kalbsgulash and all were delicious! Try Pikantes, it’s a different way to taste gulash! The star is for the beer, Schneider weisse tap1 is fantastic!

Big pub! Lots of seating however you will probably share a table with strangers which is all part of the fun! Good beers! Great food - we ordered the brewhouse board and it did not disappoint. Staff were incredibly busy and a little sharp but not entirely rude. Nevertheless the atmosphere was cool and the prices were great!

I've been here a few times over the years. It's a great place for a typical Bavarian weisswurst breakfast, and it's also good for lunch and dinner. This most recent visit we had a Viktualienmarkt (mixed) salad and Käsespätzle. Both were solid, though a little Krautsalat would have added greatly to the mixed salad. They have a lot of Weissbiers on tap, which is what Schneider is known for, but you should probably avoid the Schneider Helles - it's not very good. The Apfelschorle is spot on, though.

Just had drinks, but Anita was very helpful and looked after us well. Good selection of tasty beers, in a nice traditional environment. Food looked good, would revisit.

Came here specially for the white sausages and beer for breakfast. It is excellent. No English menu but the waitress is very patient and explain to us what is on the menu. A must have breakfast when at Munich.

Not recommended for tourists. I’ve been waiting for over 30 minutes for service. They don’t give code for Wi-Fi and take far too long to come when you call them. Unless you speak German, they won’t talk to you. Food is good, pretzel is hard but crunchy on the inside.

Obatzda is delicious. The original Weiss is a bit plain but service and prices are average.

Had 4 different plates to share - pork belly, pork knuckle, 5 sausages & suckling pig, all were great, best one was definitely the pork belly plate with sauerkraut and potato pancakes. Apple fritters for dessert were also great. Place was a bit busy, to be expected however we only had to wait for around 5 mins to be given a table. They provided an English menu on request and the waitress was also pretty friendly.

A tasty beer, a big choice of a very authentic local food, nice terrace. Due to an extremely hot weather we didn't go inside, but stayed on a terrace, but interior looks fantastic even from outside.

We visited Munich from Canada and heard that this was a must-visit, and it loved it! The food was AMAZING, and the staff were very kind and able to answer our questions. Nothing like pretzels and sausage for breakfast!

  • 1/5 Gilbert C. 6 months ago on Google
I have to say the food here just doesn't taste good, the meat is rather hard to chew, the beer is just ok, and worst still the waitress is not friendly. Please improve your service towards tourists, at least a smile will be good. Not recommended 👎

This was a good Bavarian restaurant with a great selection of local brews. The food was definitely good, but not near the best restaurants that serve similar food. The Oktoberfest pan was good, but the meat was not anything spectacular. The potato soup was quite delicious and definitely a good dish on a cold day. The beer selection here was the highlight and definitely worth a stop. A good place to drink with reasonable food.

  • 5/5 Michael B. 6 months ago on Google
Good beer, good food, great staff, what else could you want?! Schneider is a world famous major brew house for their top notch wheat beers. There is a huge selection to pick from including collaboration beers. The menu even suggests which beer to pair with which dish so you get the best experience possible. Prices run about €15-25 for food and €5 for beer. The schnitzel was top notch and the liver cheese was very good. Even the goulash was solid! There is a seasonal Oktoberfest menu if you come at that time. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. Staff speaks English very well.

One of the tastiest wise beers, wich I tried. Tasty and quality Bavarian food. Sonia is very nice lady and give good advices for the order. A must stop, if you want to eat good haxe in the center of Munich.

The outdoor dining area was packed at 6pm Sun so we dined indoors which was spacious. We were distanced from another party using the communal table. The pretzel-coated Schnitzel was juicy and flavorful. The side potato cucumber salad complimented the protein.

Super efficient and friendly service, great food and beer! The place has a nice decoration and the typical music playing in the background. Perfect, thanks for the great evening!

Came here in 2019 while visiting Munich during Oktoberfest. Food was awesome! Beer, of course, was great! The quality of the meat in the food was particularly good. Staff were very good. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a meal and beer if you’re in town.

  • 5/5 P J. 2 years ago on Google
Service was super efficient and staff was super friendly and helpful. We stopped by pretty late just before closing time and they still took us inside which was so nice. We had 4 beers all were great just be careful some beers are only in bottles but they have english menu where it's written. Toilets were clean and same goes for whole pub. We had great time.

Ducked into this place during a rain shower because it looked warm and inviting. I'm so glad we did! Our server was so pleasant and the food was delicious. Huge portions! Highly recommend!

The place is very crowded. It took a while to order as all of the staff is very busy, nevertheless, once you order, it didn't take long. Food is quite good for the price.

Good place for a late night beer, right off the main platz. Staff is not very friendly, lucky if you find a spot to sit on your own. Beer was good, ambiance OK.

  • 4/5 Kirill S. 1 year ago on Google
Not something special as we expected. The sausages were plain and overcooked, but the potatoes were well cooked. The staff is not really welcoming, but the beer is excellent (order #5, you will love it!)

  • 5/5 Carlos (. 1 year ago on Google
The Jofri schnitzel is absolutely a must try! The potato and bread dumpling plate was delicious and the wheatbeer (8.2% alcohol) has been the best beer I've had in Bavaria. The bratwurst platter with saurkraut wasn't anything out of this world, but was very good (especially with their mustard).

'when in Germany, do as the Germans do' bought us to Weisses Brauhaus to experience German pubs, authentic food & beers and to be around the locals. Oh man! This place didn't disappoint us. We didn't have a table reservation we were offered a big table and guess what we shared the table with the locals, it was so much fun. The place was lively and loud, personally I don't mind such a bustling place where everyone around was having fun. One can scan QR code for menus in other languages. Service was good considering how busy it was the night we visited. I loved the Hefeweizen beer the most, but I liked the dark beer too. There weren't a lot of options for appetizers, so we ordered one of the cold appetizers it was good but I am from the land of spices so next time I would try something else :) Word of advice: reserve a table

Great place for meeting with friends. For tourists and locals best choice. Really authentic and tasty food and beer. Almost every week we going to Schneier!) Reall Recommend!)

Food was amazing. Beer and shots were on point. Staff was beyond helpful. I had no reservation and they were still able to accommodate me in the middle of a large show. If you’re in a group of more than 1 skip hofbrauhaus and go here. Pork knuckle was way better and staff was what you’d expect from a fine dining restaurant. Going back again tomorrow.

Perfect service and the food was typical Bavarian. It was really delicious. I took some "käsespätzle" and it was perfect - almost as good as mums ones. The only thing I had to complain about was the loud environment but this is normal for a typical Bavarian restaurant. Go there and have a nice time with a good dark beer!!!!

  • 2/5 Manfred L. 1 year ago on Google
Poor services initially. The first two waitresses I asked for a table and they told me to go to other sections. The third waitress was kind enough to offer me a spare table. I ordered duck and a glass of red wine which were good. If the services from the first two waitresses would be more customer oriented, I think I would have a good impression about this restaurant.

Really unassuming from the outside. Walked in at 10am on Sunday morning to a packed venue, full of locals of all ages having food and drink. Really family friendly. The food is class, we had the Peasant Feast which was banging... the belly pork was soooooooo good. The beers are class. We had a few different ones, all very tasty. Glad we stumbled across it.

  • 5/5 Rai C. 1 year ago on Google
Delicious white sausage for breakfast! Large portion and fair priced, 3 euros per sauage. It is the only place opened at 9am on Sunday so make a reservation! Otherwise you may need to wait for a table.

Cannot remember name of the menu that I took for brunch (the dish with an egg in the photo), it was very tasty. Kaiserschmarrn was also good.

  • 5/5 Deb S. 1 year ago on Google
Excellent food and equal amounts of locals and tourists. Just enough locals to let you know it's good, and enough tourists so you don't feel awkward. This place was so much fun we went back 3 times during our stay. Some of the servers were a little less friendly than others but not to the point of being rude. Most were excellent.

Had a nice early dinner here, before enjoying the Glockenspiel Bell at 5 pm. Very good food, and wonderful service. We enjoyed the outdoor scenic seating!!

Fun atmosphere - locals come here and celebrate 85th Birthdays! Beer is delicious food is traditional. I highly recommend the sausages and sauerkraut. We had a special release beer and it did not disappoint! Waitress was forgiving of us butchering her beautiful language. We’d definitely come again and maybe order dessert next time and share an entree! Food was so good we forgot to photograph it before we ate. Potato soup…. Excellent!

  • 5/5 Rob D. 10 months ago on Google
The best beer and traditional Bavarian food I had in Munich. A good range of Schneider's beers on tap from Helles all the way through their delicious varieties of wheat beer. The food was amazing, I had the Pork knuckle and it was sublime. Crisp crackling and succulent meat falling off the bone. Best Knoodle I had in Munich. Good atmosphere and good service too.

  • 5/5 Seth M. 1 year ago on Google
This is one of the classic Munich establishments that serves a very good Weißwurst breakfast. As one of Bavaria's oldest brewers of weissbier, Schneider makes for a fun and storied cultural experience every time. The restaurant itself has a lovely atmosphere with traditional wooden chairs, high ceilings, and cozy atmosphere. Service caters to tourists a bit and can be much faster than other establishments. Food is good quality. Drinks are great quality.

  • 2/5 George C. 10 months ago on Google
the traditional german food was not very tasty. The thuringer sold by kaufland is tastier. Also the staff wasn't very friendly - very crowded place due to the intersolar event. a lot of noise in the restaurant. it was definitely not a good deal.
