I had the most terrible experience at a restaurant in a long time. Our waitress was very rude from the beginning. My wife ordered a cheese spätzle and she is vegetarian. We realized that the dish has salami in it. Immediately, my wife asked the waitress if she can change the dish to another dish since she cannot eat the salami. The waitress was very rude and said that all ingredients were written in the menu and she cannot do anything for us. To summarize, this restaurant has terrible customer service, especially if you speak English and you are a tourist.

Next time I am just gonna have the Truffelspätzle! And the Kaiserschmarrn! A friendly waiter rounded off the experience. (This cannot be taken for granted in Munich)

We ordered take-out tonight and it was absolutely mind blowing. I mean, the food is always great when we it in the restaurant, but who knew it would also be great after a car ride home? Be sure to tip generously :-)

Good Bavarian food! Roasted pork and sauce are tasty but for the price it’s a bit too much.

It is a great Bavarian place with excellent service. One of the few places I have praised for good service. Food is also fantastic and a dish I highly recommend is the König Ludwig Bleu, which is a cordon Bleu with truffled Salami instead of Ham. Its just one block away from Leopoldstrasse, cant go wrong by eating here.

If you are looking for the most delicious schnitzel in Schwabing, this is the place. Been living in Munich for 20 years and tasted many schnitzel and this is my favourite place for schnitzel. Worth the visit!

Soo delicious! The atmosphere is beautiful and the portions are huge. My group of 4 went on a Saturday night and couldn't get a table so I made reservation for a Monday night. I'm so happy we went back to this place. The servers were lovely and spoke English. They had a food menu in English and were nice enough to bring out the kid's food first.

Legendary Schnitzel place. We tried their bestsellers in Veal and Pork variants. Both were exceptional! Staff is really friendly and the restaurant has a real nice Bavarian vibe. They could go easy on the Kartoffelsalat portion though. Reservation is recommended.

Had an amazing meal. Had the house specialty schnitzel in a pretzel crumb which was absolutely delicious. Also had the Kaiserchmarrn, which has to be up there in one of the best desserts I have had. Is massive (at least for two) but was absolutely amazing and a must get, there version is unlike any other.

Conveniently located, served me a dish in 15 min while the restaurant was full, which is good. Minus one star from service, as there is no one at the entrance.

Great German restaurant in the heart of Schwabing. We booked a table which was good. You gotta know before that in those kind of restaurants it can be a little louder, not just because of the beer but also because of the way those restaurants are set up. Food was delicious and definitely worth the price.

Wonderful place with Bavaria traditional meals. Keiserschnitzel was to die for. Also the service was very friendly, helpful and patient with all the questions and requests.

I am so glad I decided to come here for dinner my one night in Munich. I made a reservation for one and I was sat at a table with another solo traveler. I ordered the pretzel and the weiner schnitzel based on recommendation and it was SO good. I went with the optional smaller portion for both, which was still gigantic. The waitress was thoughtful and attentive. I ended up loving the company of my fellow traveler so much we shared dessert and a schnapps. I struggled between a 4/5 star review because really it was a 5 star experience accept we had to return the desert for being cold. The waitress happily acted to make things right and removed the bread pudding to bring us another one that was much more fresh. Which to me warrants rounding up to 5 stars despite a hiccup. If you are considering this restaurant you will be happy you decide to eat here.

Fantastic traditional Bavarian restaurant who accommodated our large party of 21 people. Staff are amazing and served everyone quickly. The food is amazing and delicious and portion sizes are huge. Highly recommend if your visiting Munich.

Such a good Wirtshaus! I took a salad which was very fresh and tasty, my date took a meat dish which was very well prepared and tender . The Kaiserschmarrn was the best I had so far. The place is also very cosy and the athmosphere warm.

Great atmosphere in this rustic restaurant. I was lucky enough to have dinner there with a friend just before Corona Lockdown. The food was very good and the service was always at the right place at the right time. Unfortunately the restaurant was very crowded and so we were squeezed together with two other parties at the same table. The cosy atmosphere with quiet conversations was gone. Otherwise a great evening with delicious food, good beer and moderate prices.

Really big portions, I recommend their speciality schnitzel, plus the french Syrah in the wine menu!

Very tasty Bavarian food! The Munich Meatballs (photo below) is very tasty. The staff is friendly, and they have tables in and outside. Very good restaurant. But watch out for the size of the portions, it’s often a lot of food!

Best schnitzel I have had, ever. I will return. Besides that the restaurant is a cool Bavarian style place with friendly staff, warm atmosphere and tasty beers. It is smaller than the typical Bavaria restaurant so if you have a party over 2 make sure to get reservations. Otherwise just enjoy it.

We have a very pleasant evening in this traditional guesthouse. The dishes are delicious and local. We have lucky because a table was free just before we arrived but my advice is to book. The asparagus was delicious and same for the wiener schietzel

The food was beyond amazing! Very nice place for a great meal and cozy atmosphere. The staff was very nice and helpful, and the food was absolutely incredible! Would visit Munich again just for this restaurant. The servings are large too. Worth every cent!

Great neighborhood hang out with traditional local food. Many tables outside but looks like a reservation is suggested after 7 pm. I was lucky enough to grab one outside on a Tuesday.

I guess me being an American makes me an assailed but our male server saved the experience and made it a fun one. Great food, lots of good!!

The food here is quite pricey, but taste not bad, worth to try it for the first time visit in Munich. I recommend the Schnitzel and apple Mousse with bread.
