Everything from reservation, to check in and room servicing, and the food options were a disaster. The reservations team made multiple errors in managing my booking, from incorrectly moving the dates by two months to billing my card for someone else's reservation. The room themselves are okay, but you'll only receive one small serving of instant coffee during your stay. It will not be replaced. Instead they prefer you to go to the lobby coffee outlet - but good luck finding a time when there is a staff member working. The breakfast buffet consists of extremely stale pastries, cold eggs and hard sausages. I have never had to spend so much time and effort trying to manage my own reservation and access to services. There is zero attention to detail. Zero ownership for service levels. Everything about the hotel is low-rent. This is a one star travel lodge hotel with four star prices. It is not a good hotel.

The hotel was nice. But when we checked out after 3 nights, we were charged for breakfast. They said it was part of our package. The travel agent who booked it told us it was not included, and so did the person who checked us in. I was given an email to ask for those charges to be refunded (twice) and never got a response. Poor communication which cost us $$$.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Le Meridien Munich and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I arrived, the service was excellent, and the location directly on the main train station was unbeatable. The room was a suite, and while it was spacious and well-appointed, I did notice that it could benefit from a little maintenance. However, this was a minor issue that did not detract from my overall enjoyment of the stay. One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious egg benedict breakfast. It was definitely a highlight of my trip and I highly recommend it to any future guests. As a Titanium member, I was delighted to take advantage of the happy hour offered by the hotel. It was a great way to unwind after a busy day of sightseeing in the city. While the pool could use some renovation, I still found it to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience. And let's be honest, with all that Munich has to offer, you won't be spending all your time at the hotel pool! I had a great guest experience at Le Meridien Munich and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in this beautiful city. As a part of the Marriott chain, it is no surprise that the service was top-notch and the amenities were well above par.

Hot garbage all around. An embarrassment to the Marriott brand. 1. No one picks up the phone yet three people standing at the front desk. 2. They don’t care about cleanliness. our room had used coffee in it and an old toilet paper roll. 3. Outdoors we were given an ashtray with someone else’s cigarettes in it. 4. Construction noise starting 8am. 5. Breakfast closes whenever they feel like it sometimes 10:25 sometimes 11. 6. Zero respect for the “do not disturb” sign 7. A vacuum was left in front of our door for two days. A bunch of amateurs. Stay away.

The location was absolutely perfect right by the train station. Normally I get a little leery about staying near a train station, but the neighborhood was nice and there was definitely lots to do nearby. But it was super convenient to be able to get around. Plenty of U and S stops nearby as well as the main train station. The The staff was super friendly and helpful and the rooms were nice and comfortable. Although it wasn't that easy to get the rooms cool. My room had a western exposure so the afternoon sun warmed it up right before bed. The showers were awesome with tons of water pressure. The breakfast each morning was absolutely amazing, so I highly recommend that. The pool was okay and the rest of the amenities were being renovated so that was a bit of a disappointment.

They were able to help us out of a jam. However charging us premium rates, 2 days NO HOT water to shower . All they would say is sorry. While paying $400 plus for each of the 2 rooms we had. Upon check out they said they would comp us the pizza we ordered from room service. As a Titanium member i ask where is the love.

The room and hotel are nice but very poor services we couldn’t find the simplest items in the room such as slippers, menu , tv remote control!! No tooth brush no toothpaste..when we checked in there was a used towel in the bathroom!! We will have to call them several time for them to respond and get what we asked for ! Also forgot about cleaning the room ..you need to talk to someone to ask them to clean your room every single day ! Also they always forget to bring all the food you ordered..must be something missing!! It’s really frustrating!! We went there to enjoy instead we were so upset every single day of our stay .

This place was AWESOME. Super clean and elegant rooms, lobby and dining areas. Home to some of the best hotel staff in Germany. Dennis, and Mr. Lee put up with us for 4 nights and we had a blast hanging out with them and talking. 10/10 will go back to this hotel next time I am in Munich.

The hotel is in nice location in front of the main train station… The hotel is not family friendly as I booked 3 months ago and requested connected rooms but they dont grantee the room connection … So I waited 2 hrs in lobby and no solution even after I talk with their Manager … Next day the I moved to connected room.

The service in this hotel is below the average and not meet 5 stars hotel standards.. I booked junior suite for family vacation and when I arrived at 4:00pm the suite still not ready! The customer experience at the reception is un acceptable.. 3 desks and only one of them is serving, no body take care about the luggage at the hotel gate and finally dereliction in rooms readiness.

Absolutely perfect place to stay with a family. Super convenient location, less than a minute from the Hauptbahnhof or the U lines. The city center is a 10 minute walk. The pool was a great way to cap a long day out in the city for the kids. Already looking forward to our next stay!

Don’t get me started… but if you can, use any other Marriot hotel in Munich, avoid this one Goods: - Breakfast was excellent - 5 stars ⭐️ Bads: - We booked a Junior Suite, arrived a bit later with kids, at 19:10 CET the room was still not ready. To hotel’s defense, the receptionist and the manager next morning were very friendly and polite and gave a discount. But common, a 5 star hotel can’t manage to liberate rooms on time. Somebody else got probably late checkout and I have to pay the price? 0 stars - Room, Junior Suite was huuuuge one room, mostly empty. Noisy (probably old) air conditioner, impossible to sleep - Location, the Walk outside of the hotel is just scary. Narrow streets full of drug addicts. Was walking with kids, they still remember those minutes. ☹️ - Parking: of course no electric chargers. Parking dirty and not taken care of. Overall: Not nice experience. Will not stay here

The staff here were really excellent (except within the restaurant for breakfast). At check-in and other times, everyone was so friendly. However, the room itself had some issues both with cleanliness (what were these random drips on the walls in the bathroom?) and the (uncomfortable) pillows had cases that were too small and left half the pillow hanging out. It felt really unhygienic. Finally, the breakfast had lots of stuff, but nothing good I wanted to eat. Overall, was kind of bummed.

Let me start with the positive part first: Breakfast was nice but most of the days quite hard to find a table. Location is good if you travel by train and relatively close to the city center, but the streets around are quite sketchy especially at night Leaving the few positives aside, the whole stay was an absolute disaster: - For most of the stay, the elevators have been a complete disgrace. Very long waiting lines in the morning on each floor, with the stair case locked and marked "emergency only". So no chance to use them. It took 30 minutes to get down for breakfast!! During most of the stay 1 of the 3 elevators was constantly out of service. It all culminated on my 4th day of stay will ALL 3 elevators being broken down and the stair case STILL closed on each levels except 1st! So people couldn't get to their rooms after breakfast. It took me 30 minutes to get to the room, with the help of other customers and not of the hotel. I was incredibly late to my own company training where I was the instructor for 20 people... - When I booked the hotel 1 month in advance, I specifically asked if the pool is open since this was one of the main features that interested me. They told me yes. But a few days before the travel they wrote me that it is actually closed. I asked for how long and no one bothered to answer. I found out at check in that for 2 weeks (past my stay of 1 week) - I stored my luggage at check in since the room was not ready. When I returned and asked for my luggage, after a huge wait, they gave me someone else's luggage! - I asked to activate my phone as a key per Marriott's app, they said they did and they actually didn't - It snowed for a few days in Munich and they used this as an excuse to not clean the rooms for days!! - At breakfast most of the time there is a really big challenge to find a table, regardless of time. - It feels that the whole hotel was designed in a very greedy fashion, with too many rooms compared to elevators and breakfast tables. - Some of the streets around the hotel look very dubious and unsafe especially at night.

Location was perfect, hotel was clean and rooms sufficient size for a city break stay. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety too! Had an incident where I left my airpods in the room but already travelled back home. Troy from concierge got in touch to say they have found them and are keeping them safe. He then post them to me, as I was already back in Amsterdam. Airpods arrive to me very fast! Super helpful and I am very pleased to have received my airpods back. Thank you Troy

Awful in every sense. Worst hotel in Munich. Will never stay there again. Room was dated, bathroom was not properly cleaned, toilet disgusting… need I say more…. No mini bar, room service closes early and don’t count on the staff to help finding something to eat. Reception / room service won’t bother picking up the phone. They should close this place down and fire everyone working there.

I have been coming here since it first opened as the intercontinental, circa 2005/6. The hotel has always been consistent in their service and quality of accomodations. Clean rooms. Great breakfast, fitness and spa area. Lively bar. Two unique independent establishments connected to the hotel (whiskey bar and small steak house). The surrounding area used to be fantastic but due to the HBF expansion it has been a construction zone but seems to be in the home stretch. Great park with biergarten across the street. Easy walk to U and S-Bahn and Konigstrasse, the main thoroughfare. Although charlottenplatz area seems to be the new hotness now. Looking forward to returning in a couple weeks.

Very nice hotel in the center of munich right next to the main train station. Looks like at least my room was renovated in the last years as it had a fresh look, and it was nice not to face the busy street with the trams but to the garden side.

Le Meridien Hotel in Munich stands out as one of the finest hotels globally. Its impeccable service and luxurious accommodations are truly commendable. However, an area of improvement lies with the Room Service, as there have been instances where their staff seemed to overstep boundaries upon entering the room without proper notice. Additionally, it's disappointing to note that calls made from the room often go unanswered by the Room Service team. During my recent stay, I encountered a concerning incident where a strange man was found sitting on my bed, attempting to act as if he were from Room Service. This incident was unsettling and raised concerns about the security protocols in place. Please be aware what you keep in the room. It might be dangerous. و لو انتو عرب، لا تخلون اغراضكم مفروره لانهم جلاب. Thanks.

We had a very nice and comfortable stay here. Great location to the main centre and station. Clean and comfortable rooms. Service and facilities great. However, furniture and linens were a bit damaged and old and they didn’t offer complimentary water in the rooms for the category it is. I recommend it.

And again, our guests of BAVARIA TRAVEL GROUP from America, choose the Le Meridien Hotel. The hotel is incredibly beautiful! For many years, our guests from different countries have been choosing this hotel! And this time everyone was delighted! The service is very good and the location is ideal. We can only recommend it! As we have been doing for many years!

We been here 20 minutes and haven’t even fully checked in. The Lobby is so noisy. We can’t hear ourselves think or hear the person trying to check us in. The front desk attendant keeps misunderstanding our questions. The concierge has been yelling talking to various guess around us. There’s no reason to be shouting. On top of that. It’s 6 PM and somebody is vacuuming in the lobby. UPDATE after our 4 day stay: Our SAFETY felt like a big RISK here. We came out of the elevator the day we checked in to find a homeless man waiting to ask us for money. Very very hard to get chain lock open on door without using 2 hands. Would be nearly impossible in an emergency situation. Also on the subject of fire hazards, the exit from the restaurant side of the building to the street was often locked. This was awful. Phone did not work properly and we had to do WhatsApp with front desk for requests. As for non-safety issues: The hotel is cashless, and they have no change for guests, which is incredibly inconsiderate, inhospitable, and unprofessional. We had excessive noise from the floor above. Never had this noise issue at any other hotel. Desk chairs should have sliders on bottom so they don’t shriek when moving on floor. Water from shower leaked ev where. Mold in corners of shower. Gross throw on bottom of bed. Jelly and other gross things on it. Disgusting Room smelled like dog. Sofa bed hard was as a rock. Should not be advertised as a bed. Concierge does not work on weekends. When the younger one does work, he speaks so loudly that he makes hearing the front desk staff difficult. We reserved a suite . While it had two very large TVs, they were so far away from the seating areas that it hurt our necks to watch them. The sink and vanity in the bathroom are so cheap. I can’t believe this is a four-star hotel. They are formica or something.

My hotel experience was awful. I couldn’t understand why it’s full. Maybe it only cares it’s high-end members. (But I booked five nights here🫤🫤🧐🤔) 1. We were arranged to the room on the 3rd. floor, which just in front of the station and the railway. The noice from the trams and taxi was horrible from early morning to late night. But this room only named as “ city view” room on the booking website. 2. After two insomnia nights, the staff arranged us to a”upgrade” room, which was more quiet (that’s why I gave 2 stars for). However, here came the tragedy during the rest 3 nights. The shower room was clogged so the bathroom and the bedroom flooded. The next day, the silicone strip under the door of the shower room was still loose, so the water still leaked out. 3. Furthermore, the housekeeper forgot to refill the tea and the coffee bags, but taking away my “recup cup”, (not return yet) which I bought at the BMW Welt, not at the hotel!!!!!(The cups looked alike, but there was some graffiti on the hotel recup, and mine was plain.) And there was a broken hanger on the top of the closet 🤔🤔😮‍💨🙄😵‍💫

Staff was very friendly, apart from that - not equivalent to the standards of a 5 star hotel. Rooms are old (mine came with a desk without chair, had to ask specifically to get one), Breakfast is not worthy a 5 star level, gym in the basement is basically windowless and ugly, the internet connection is horrible (had issues several times due to too much guest traffic, the cellular reception is close to zero in the building - and I have the most expensive business Telekom package for my cellular already). Can’t speak for the wellness section, haven’t tried it during my stay. If the pricing was based on a 4 star hotel, and it would classify as such, I would give it a four star review instead. So, it’s bad given the expectations of a five star hotel (especially with Sofitel right across the street as a direct comparison). Sofitel is right the opposite of Le Méridien, for the same budget, better every category mentioned above - clearly the better choice! To the management: spend a night at Sofitel, and take their rooms as the benchmark for what you should upgrade your interiors to, or adjust your prices accordingly.

Breakfast in shambles, no food, no service, no clean tables. Rooms nice but funny smell. Got charged extra for parking inspite of different price being stated online. Disappointing and wouldn't recommend.

This is a very basic hotel with great location right across the train station. The rooms are dated and old tv. Our room was covered with dust. The woman at the front desk was not very friendly. They do have a nice bar and courtyard where you can hang out. Location and courtyard was the only good thing about this hotel.

Friendly staff and central location make Le Meridien Munich a special stay. We enjoyed our time at this hotel. We were upgraded to a nice albeit oddly laid out suite. The room's closet was in it's own separate room almost like a dressing room. The room was otherwise perfectly comfortable. The service at the hotel was consistently professional. We spoke with the desk, chatted with the concierge, had room service a couple times, and in each case the interaction was a delight. The bar tenders were maybe a little cranky, but that can happen. The central location was near the heart of the city and close to trains and subways. The perfect location for tourists like we were on this trip. I would return to this hotel without hesitation.

"A Comfortable Stay Near Munich's Heart 🌟🏨" I recently stayed at Le Meridien in Munich, and it was an overall positive experience. The location is excellent, being clean and in close proximity to the main train station. The hotel's cleanliness and convenience made my stay enjoyable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The proximity to transportation hubs added a lot of value to my visit. Negative Review: Title: "Disappointing Hot Water Woes 🚿❌" While Le Meridien's location and cleanliness were commendable, my stay was marred by a significant issue. Unfortunately, I experienced two days without hot water, and the reason provided by the technical support was the hotel operating at full capacity. This was surprising and disappointing. It's disheartening that a hotel of this stature couldn't ensure a basic amenity like hot water. Perhaps they need to better manage their capacity or implement a schedule for shower usage. It's particularly frustrating when considering my recent stay in smaller hotels with fewer stars in rural Morocco, where I encountered better water pressure and hot water. Having to find an alternative place to shower in freezing temperatures (-11°C) was an unexpected and inconvenient challenge. Hopefully, the hotel addresses this issue to ensure a more reliable and comfortable stay for future guests. 🏨❄️ #LeMeridienMunich #HotelReview

Good location. If you plan a day ahead you could walk around the city from the hotel. Easy to get here from the airport. Staffs are German standard friendly. But second day my son was complaining there’s something his under the bed and I found the piece of glass. We asked for nothing else but feedback but no feedback and message didn’t get to the management at all. Maybe its a not a big deal for the hotel to find the glass piece from the guest bed.

Unfortunate experience here, for not one but two separate stays. The elevators broke down and there is no option to use the stairs so we were stranded. The hot water was hit and miss. The AC didn't work in our room. The wifi went out one night and didn't come back until the next day. The room was not as clean as it could have been and parts of the baseboards were coming off the walls. Front desk doesn't answer the phone. The computer and printer they have available for guest use were broken. Our first stay we had a man knocking on our door more than once starting at 8am asking when we were leaving, despite a do not disturb sign on the door. The second stay we had a cleaning lady enter our room unannounced to clean (despite the sign on the door, again). Not sure how this hotel is able to operate under the Marriot umbrella. For what it's worth, some staff genuinely seemed to want to help and provide a positive experience.

No hot water! Booked 3 rooms and all 3 on different floors had issues with getting hot water at different times of day. No room service as website states. No service - no one picks up the phone from front desk, concierge and room service. Room had used coffee maker in it with no coffee. The do not disturb sign was not respected and had people knock TWICE starting at 8 am saying when are you leaving and then when are you checking out even though we were 2-4 hours from check out. Restaurant for breakfast closed before stated time for no apparent reason. Staff don’t seem to know what’s going on as we asked where we could get dinner and at what time and the staff member was surprised the restaurant was closed and only the bar was open. For the price we paid, we upgraded to a junior suite..we would NOT recommend this hotel and will not be back. Very disappointing experience.

This hotel is dumpster fire. Hot water was hit or miss, AC broken, WiFi kept dropping out, rooms weren't particularly clean, front desk was utterly unreachable, breakfast was a disorganized mess, no respect for the 'do not disturb' sign (not only did staff straight up walk into our room, there's nothing like having someone knock on your door at 8AM and insist you provide an exact check-out time). Absolute highlight: elevator stops working. "Why not take the stairs?" Well, it turns out you can't *exit* the stairwell without a staff keycard. Nothing like being literally stranded on the sixth floor while your train leaves without you. Seems like a pretty safe system in the event of an emergency, too.

Modern and efficient property in a convenient location 2 mins from the main station. Solid breakfast with tea bar, made-to-order omelet, and a wide variety of food. What needs fixing: - one elevator permanently out of service - when hotel is full, hot water is a gamble. May take 5 mins. - internet can be overloaded down to 1MB/s. it was impossible to work at night. I had to get up at 6am and finish my work instead. - House keeping does disturb late checkout It would be nice to have more power sockets / USB outlets. There's only one socket near the desk and it turns off when lights are off so your find your laptop not charged in the morning.

Front desk staff took great care during check in to ensure that I would have a successful stay. They took time to explain best access to the U/S Bahn as the construction at street level made things difficult. I was also given an N95 mask, as this was required and my mask I brought was not adequate. Room was very large, and plenty of space in bathroom too. Only complaint is that the heat can only be turned down, not off. Breakfast was excellent, with a full spread of choices. English is spoken so that was helpful for my ignorance of the language. One last detail, if you drove a car, the parking garage is accessed from the street just East of the hotel. Take the ticket to the front desk for validation.

My stay was absolutely fantastic! The staff was very kind. The bar tenders even cut my mango for me. It was so great the bed was comfortable, right in the heart of Munich. Everything was within walking distance including the main train station was directly across the street! Great pool, and just all around fantastic!

We travelled for two weeks in Germany in May-June 2022 and stayed in different hotels throughout our journey. This hotel was definitely not the best one as per my opinion. As many of other review mentioned, the rooms are obviously dirty: dust everywhere, cups and spoons dirty and not changed, the carpet in the hallway covered with small rubbish. I found some things that were left by previous visitors - again, no proper cleaning. I had a cup of tea and the cup wasn't changed for 2 days. We booked a stay for 4 persons (2 adults, 2 children). We were "upgraded" to a suite that didn't have doors between rooms. It means if one family member makes a noise at night, everyone is awake. No privacy. Can't even watch TV when kids are sleeping. Late in the evening the TV turned on by itself and showed a message "Welcome, Mr. Smith". I was wondering if this Mr Smith was checked in into our room and would come soon. The staff in the hallway totally ignored me when I was passing them by and kept loudly talking to each other. I wouldn't have minded it before, but one staff in another German hotel was so helpful, she greeted me and even held a lift door for me out of courtesy. As for the positive remarks, the location is convenient if you need to get to the central train station. (But be aware of the disadvantages of such location as well). Breakfast was decent with many local options. Staff was also helpful in the breakfast place. I noticed it is common in Germany to collect plates once guests finish eating (I consider it as they politely asking us to leave). I guess the staff is trying to increase the turnaround this way.

Three rating based on what should be a 5 star hotel. If I went in without any knowledge I’d say it was a very average 4 star. Rooms are bland and very plastic feel. Did not feel like a 5 star experience at all!

Location - super close to the train station (hauptbahnhof), cross two streets and you’re there. 2 min walk. It’s about a 15-20 min walk to old town/center. Rooms - the room was good sized with a closet that was half hanging and half shelves, good design. There was an iron and ironing board in the room. There is a desk with chair and light & another chair with an ottoman, lots of usable space even with a suitcase or two. Good lighting. I wish all hotels would have easily accessible plugs near each bedside table (I had to unplug the clock to charge my phone at night). There was a kettle and tea/coffee but no Nespresso or Kuerig for good coffee. Bathroom - Also good size. Great shower with good water pressure. Nice towels and two towel hangers. 👏 There were robes for use on the shelf under the sink. I loved the full size Malin & Goetz toiletries. Better for the environment than tiny plastic bottles and user friendly. Thank you! I didn’t check out the spa or pool. The gym is in a temp space so is smaller than what o assume it would normally be. The staff was all friendly and helpful

All good, one day my room wasn’t cleaned. But everything else was convenient and worked fine. You can tell the place is understaffed, guess that’s the new reality we live in. Good gym!!!

Overall, I had a good stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and relatively new. The staff was all fantastic. The location can't be beat, it's right next to long-distance trains, S-bahn, U-bahn, and trams. My one complaint is the air conditioning was useless in my room. I found it better to open a window, but they only open a couple inches. I would stay here again, but only in cooler weather.

Stay: Decent rooms but little dated. I have seen much better Le Meridian properties. Location: Best part about this property as its located right across the main train station and bunch of restaurants. We were denied valet parking but self parking is available for a 30€ fee per night.

Lovely location for Oktoberfest near the Central Train Station, clean rooms, big breakfast spread, and above all — AMAZING management and service. Thank you to all of the staff (especially the GM) for helping our large group at check-in! We will absolutely be back to this hotel in the future.

We had a wonderful stay during a very busy Oktoberfest time. Super convenient to train station for S bahn, within walking distance though of most everything in downtown\Old town Munich. Staff was amazing….asked for fan…got it, room ready early..yes, dinner suggestions and reservations…done. Courtyard room was nice and quiet in city….sadly it rained the whole time we were there…so close proximity to train station was wonderful! Would absolutely stay again.

Hotel is well located for a business trip. Rooms are extremely outdated, aircon didn’t really work. Service is mostly mediocre. However, I asked the cleaning staff whether they could let me into my room without showing identification and they actually did let me in without hesitation. The fact that no room key is needed for the elevator makes it even worse!

Visiting Le Meridian I was reminded that customer service still exists! We were warmly welcomed and our room was ready upon arrival (we were quite early). As we waited in the lobby for a friend, the barrista offered us a coffee and brought it to us. This is a level of service that is long gone in North America outside of the very top tier hotels. The room was great, fantastic shower. The courtyais very nice and breakfast was fantastic. And again, the food was surpassed by the service! Location is great with very easy access to the trains and trams. I look forward to returning and to sending clients here!

Stayed here for 5 nights. Be warned when you arrive they blocked an additional €200 euros from your bank card as they take it as a deposit, it wasn’t a problem but would be nice to be informed beforehand. Staff were friendly however the facilities were poor. On the website they advertise the swimming pool as “heated” the water is absolutely freezing and no one could get in the pool it was so cold, brought it up to hotel staff and they advised it wasn’t up to them as the spa is outsourced, when I spoke to the spa they said the water is not heated, maybe they need to remove this from the hotel website. The picture also shows a jacuzzi but there is no jacuzzi just a pool. Food in the restaurant and the location is really great. Ordered a pot of coffee from room service for €7, when I received my invoice yesterday they’ve charged me €12 so again be careful when getting room service. Location is fantastic. They also advertise a coffee bar, there is no coffee bar it’s just a cart and there was no one there ever so was impossible to get coffee.

Nice hotel. Conveniently located close to the central railway station. Housekeeping was a little hit and miss. Requests weren't always met accurately. Irmi was great as was the service there. Fitness centre was moved to the 2nd floor and it was tiny with limited equipment. Rooms were fairly large but I was surprised at the lack of sockets.
