I had a 2 week stay while on an office trip and loved it! The size of the room was bigger than we expected and bigger than any hotel our colleagues have stayed over the years. The close proximity to Ostbahnhoff is a huge benefit. The room service was also timely and no complaints about it. Overall, would definitely recommend and might even visit again on a vacation

Good location, close to station, restaurants, shops. Clean spacious bedroom suite & bathroom, breakfast included. Check-in was a letdown as it seemed to be understaffed. We arrived at 02:40pm but were advised that the room was not ready & we'd would be contacted when ready. This didn't happen. Also, we did online checking & expected to receive a mobile key when the room was ready. A notification was received at 9pm. Other than that check-in hiccup everything else was fine.

After check in, we went up to the room and tried to connect our phones to the smart TV, as there were instructions on the screen how to do so. After maybe 15 minutes we gave up, and left for the day to tour. It was rainy so we came back to the hotel after dinner. Entering our room, the AC still hadn't cooled it down so we wanted to take showers. Unfortunately, there was no body wash left in the canister. When we tried to call down to the lobby for service we found out the phone doesn't work. At reception they told us phones were down and the smart TV instructions no longer worked. It was a rainy evening and so we decided to try to watch some English channels on the cable TV. Unfortunately only 3 news channels worked the other English channels were scrambled. See picture. This hotel left a lot to be desired in comparison to a different residence inn we stayed at maybe 5 minutes away. The staff tried to make up for the hotels lacking however, by offering free drinks and parking. But it was not an up to standard stay. We felt like we were in the abandoned area of the connecting hotels.

Very new hotel within walking distance to Munich East rail station. Grocery stores can be found in the same building complex as the hotel. Staff is very friendly and helpful, good recognition of Marriott Bonvoy Status. Rooms are clean and broad, microwave, dishwasher, all can be found. Rooms are fully A/C equipped for hot summer days. The hotel has a small gym and direct access to underground parking. Prices are reasonable off season, somewhat on the higher range side in high seasons. There is a nice courtyard to the hotel if you want to spend time outside. Adjacent to the Residence Inn as another Marriott Brand: Moxy (nice Bar).

Had a great stay. Clean hotel and rooms, with a good selection for breakfast. Hotel is 5 min walk from the ostbahnhof station and you can get everywhere you want to go from there easily. In 10 you can be at Marienplatz. There is an onsite parking garage for a fee that was safe and convenient. I would stay here again when visiting.

Far location from Marienplatz had to take Uber to go , be careful not to be confusing with the other hotel with the same name, great size room with a sitting area and a small kitchenette. Delicious breakfast , however not great cleaning service and many bugs in the rooms.

Very comfortable room. Frindly staff and delicious breakfast we had a great time. Very clean and organized place. In the lobby, you can find water and coffee for free.

Very good hotel with much comfort and elegant rooms, plenty of very common usual stuff for breakfast which contrast with the efforts in decorating. Fitness center, tramway and buses and very important a really nice team at work

Great hotel, fantastic breakfast, 5 minute walk from the Ostbahnhof with frequent trains going downtown. Also has a line directly to/from the airport (S8) with 35 minute travel time.

It's a very clean neat hotel with a great location . Many eateries supermarkets and the railway station is just a walk away .

Solid hotel all around. Pros: Quick access to bus and tram in front of the hotel, 5 minute walk to train station. Very handy for using transit. There are also food options around the station as well as a grocery store. Great breakfast and the complementary coffee machine was great. Staff are friendly and the facilities generally were good. Cons: The original room we booked had mold in the shower. The staff gave us another room that was clean, but with the prices they charge you think they would be able to do more maintenance. Not a con but just a note, there isn't a great view since it overlooks the train rails. There's also tons of construction so not much to look at.

The hotel location is amazing ,walking distance from everything .room is nice however the air conditioner was not effective as I felt really cold most of the time and there was nothing to be done about it .

We arrived at this hotel at 8am after a Long morning flying. We left our bags at reception and went to explore Munich. we returned around 4pm exhausted and ready to check-in only to find we were actually staying at Residence Inn by Marriott Munich City Central... not East. the receptionist couldn't have been kinder and helped us find our way to the correct hotel. He also chased us down the road and gave us all a bottle of water each

I am surprised that Marriott allows this to be listed as one of their properties. The rooms are dirty. Housekeeping is rare. When they do service the room, it is unclear what guidelines they have. Counters are not wiped, dishes are thrown in a pile, it appears they do not own a broom.

Rooms : good cud be better. Breakfast : good Location : good Staff : reception and bar good. Cleaning and restaurant staff - mixed feeling. E.g - particular staff were rude when we requested to clean the breakfast table instead of sitting on smaller clean one and also when we asked the house keeping to come later. Again next day some staff were very friendly. But in general i could say the non-white staffs were having attitude problem with non-white guests in a subtle way. Ironic. Overall good cud be better for the price.

There is a guy called thomas… he is genuinely the best guy in the hotel❤️ Im inlove with the hotel because of him, outgoing and speaks english amazingly, and know’s how to treat a guest👍🏼, something i dont find in most germans.. if i dont come back and this guy is manager i will not stay in the hotel.

We would not stay here again. Bartenders Thomas & Asim and the breakfast attendant were the best part of our 5 day stay. Internet TV & You Tube (basic / search only option available) for English speakers shut off every day. Other stations were not affected. There was not any other options (like Netflix / Amazon Video) to watch or able to be downloaded. Staff was unable to explain the reason. Gen Mgr did not contact us. There are other Marriott locations that should be considered.

Nice location, about 7 minutes walk from ostbahnhof train station. From ostbahnhof, approximately 6 minutes ride to city center Marienplatz station. Hotel staff is friendly and provides basic services, no complimentary coffees in lobby like most Marriott brand hotels. Fitness center is small and very basic.

This used to be the place we stay frequently. On multiple occasions we had random fake hotel “workers” enter our room. When opening the door to these people they would give bogus excuses on why they are trying to enter our room. (It was not house keeping). This is very concerning considering it has happened every time we went to this hotel and we have small children.

The employees are very kind and nice , they are doing their best. But the hotel is shamelessly understaffed. Rooms need detailed cleaning. It looks clean when u first come in But there is piles of fuzz and dust under everything.. and in everything corner.. And for the first time of my life, I see a hotel that cleans your room once every three days. And when you order towels, they give you only one. I felt disgusted.. also , when the cleaners take the dirt from the rooms, they rebooked Finder decide the elevator one of the days. All the garbage was piled up for over 24 hours by the elevator, the area smeld !!! Its not right to understaff a hotel to that extent!!! No room service. The hotel never answers the phone! If u need something u need to go to the reception by your self and ask for it . It looks like the whole hotel has only two people working in there. In the reception. To the extent, our hotel doors were closed and only one door to the neighbouring sister. Hotel was open. You have to walk a lot of you arrive to the elevator.. the rooms are nicely decorated and spacious! the cleanliness and the availability of the service Is the main flaws!! Also its far from down town and nothing is really close to it U need a taxi everywhere.

They have nice view and good buffet in the breakfast meal and the location was nice.

It's very neat to Munich East railway station. The rooms were neat and tidy. The kitchen is equipped with dishwasher and necessities. The parking per day is little expensive. There is bar and restaurant in the ground floor.

so a bit of a mixed bag - just completed a two week stay. the positive: good size rooms, accessable to transport location, on site parking, nice breakfast and a good feature for parents - a kids room. now the negative: the property is drastically understaffed - the shared courtyard/res inn check in is just the beginning. everyone is working the best they can but it's just not enough. another strange thing that should be a positive but what the struggle bus was the guest laundry. the fact they have it great but the two units (one of which is broken) make for a very competitive time getting your wash done. overall I'd stay again - but there are opportunities for improvement.

I stayed in Residence Inn for a month and I never felt I am living in a hotel room. everything was clean and neat. breakfast and restaurant was also really clean and tasty. I strongly recommend anyone who is willing to visit Munich, prefer to stay in the center and have a cosy room.

Just book another hotel. Loud rooms on front, lot of things in the room were broken, breakfast was basic and partially cold right at opening

Great hotel. The rooms are comfy and nice. The showers are the open style, which can get water on the floor. The breakfast is one of the best ones I've had. I recommend staying here.

Good hotel. The rooms are clean and air conditioned. The service is good. Very close to bus and tram stations so it is not challenging to take to Munich East Central Station. However, it takes some time to go to the station by walk. All in all, I liked the hotel and it is one of my recommended places for future trips to Munich.

The hotel is located about 10min walk from Munich east train station which is a transportation hub with metro and rail services. Front desk is quick and efficient, room is decent in size, clean breakfast offering is a nice spread of juice, bread, yogurt etc……. May not the best choice for family vacation due to off center location but definitely worth 5 star review

We booked residence inn for 12 days. The reason I have 3 stars based on hospitality, services and cleanliness. However, the Buffet Breakfast is quite disappointing. It's been 6 days and not even once they considered in making warm breakfast for vegans and vegetarians. Only ample of item in meat and eggs. I wasn't expecting Marriott being a global brand in hotel industry wouldn't cater to the needs of vegans and vegetarians. We made the suggestion to the reception, customer care and yet till now, no change in menu.

Very good hotel, highly recommend. Nice to have kitchen set in the room, as well as the possibility to have water or coffee in the lobby at any time. Good location close to the East railway station.

Very lovely hotel with friendly staff. Long check-in queue when I arrived but it didn't bother me - a testament to its popularity if anything. Only two minor issues: 1. Contactless payment failed and front desk staff apologised admitting the card machines were a bit out of date - but not a big problem for me as I had my physical cards 2. The front desk is at the adjacent Courtyard so finding your way to the correct passage and lifts might not be easy for first timers. After my check-in, somehow I found myself in their kitchen, totally lost, but mastered the routes immediately after the friendly bar staff showed me the correct way. Overall still excellent experience so 5 stars!

Very impressed. A great size room with a sitting area and a small kitchenette. Also a large shower and bathroom. We also really enjoy the breakfast buffet every morning. Tram stop within 100 metres and 600 metres to Munchen Ost Hauptbahnhof.

Great place to stay, the breakfast is amazing. Bar a little pricey but standard for a hotel. Friendly staff.

Very clean complete rooms. A chair AND sofa! Good breakfast with a lot of choose. Free parking under the hotel. Only negative item was that for us it was not clear which of the parking slots are to be used for hotel guests. I filled in the online review from the hotel but for some reason they do not asked in the review for improvement suggestions. Let’s see if they act on Google maps. 😀

Nice room and good breakfast, we didn't like the check in process as we had to wait for 20mins in line. The room was clean except underneath the couch there was dirt from previous guests. Also liked the fact they allow pets.

I love how we're so close to the U and S bahn. 5 minutes walking and you can go everywhere. Hotel itself is nice and rooms are clean and operational. Staff is friendly and professional. Edit: Well, in winter I must say the room is too cold, even if you open AC on its full force and max. Heat, the room is still cold. Bring polar/termal pjs.

Good hotel with comfortable beds but hard to maintain good temperature in the summer or winter. Metro station 7minutes walking so easy access to city center.

Bathrooms are smaller than expected. The other one in ostbahnhof is more spacious and better. The TV interface is so old fashioned and won't load YouTube in full screen. Can't cast from phone. Not idea for business trips. Would recommend the other residence inn on other side of station.
