The food is good, similar with dishes I tried in my Asian trips, but the service is horrible. Despite the fact that I had a reservation, I was asked twice while eating if I am paying or not because other customers were looking for a table. I had to ask three times to get a dessert, waiting for more than 40 minutes. The biggest surprise was the payment methods (cash or EC card) and I was lucky to have some cash with me.

Some of the best (vegan) Vietnamese food you can find! Lots of standard Vietnamese dishes on the menu, but also some very special ones. We were impressed by Kho To which had an amazing sauce and unique umami flavor. Even better was the Cha Ca since it’s such a unique and flavorful dish. The sauce was to die for. Staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is quaint and chill. Can confidently recommend this place 🌱

I believe this is the best Vietnamese restaurant I’ve ever been to. My husband and I ordered a set No. 3 for two people and the quantity was a lot. It did feel that some of the dishes had too many cheap vegetables than the main ingredient Tofu to be honest but every dish was delicious. The interior of the restaurant is cosy and modern. Staff were attentive. We would love to come back here again.

As a non vegan, I was positively surprised throughout the evening. Soy proves a point that you don’t need meat to have a great meal, since all the dishes tasted were very well prepared, the ingredients had a nice quality as everything tasted very good. I expected a bit more from the drinks. Service was very good and food came incredibly fast. Will come back. No credit cards accepted though.

Super duper place. Amazing food and service. Crowded but well handled. I don’t remember the dish names but the numbers- 32, 34: they were noodle dishes.

Food was tasty, nice interior, cosy, still neat and clean. We had hot pot, and it was bit too much, we had to take away, to not waste it.

The food is so good, anything from the menu really has excellent quality…the only but…is that they need to improve a lot their service, they made a lot of mistakes in the orders. But at least they seemed very concerned about it, but really need to improve that. Besides that, I highly recommend the food here for Vegan lovers

Soy Munchen is a Vietnamese restaurant conveniently located near Theresienstraße U-Bahn station. It's a popular spot, so make sure to book a table beforehand. The restaurant has a pleasant ambiance, and I loved their flavorful rice bowls and delightful noodle dishes. The appetizers are also a treat for the taste buds. What's more, the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Don't forget to make a reservation, otherwise you will have to wait :)

What we liked: - one of the best vegan restaurants we have ever been to - staff was friendly and told us how to use it - best spring rolls ever What we did not like: - small table for hot pot, it was hard to manage

Super delicious food. The best restaurant I visited in Munich so far. And the best vegan restaurant. The vegetables were so good. I can really recommend.

The food and drinks at Soy are very delicious. The atmosphere is also great. This is my go-to vegan place in Munich.

The restaurant looks nice and the food is tasty, but the staff is extremely rude. We knew that the reservation is for 2 hrs, therefore we reserved 2 slots to have time to enjoy the food and a couple of cocktails. Still they threw us out after 2 hrs, we couldnt even finish our drinks. We wanted to order dessert and more drinks, but they told us we can stay only if we order another round of main course.

My first vegan restaurant and I'm glad it's Vietnamese! The dishes are so flavorful you won't miss meat. There is a great menu do homemade nonalcoholic drinks. Since I don't drink often and instead of a mocktail, I'd prefer a nice, unique concoction of tea and juice and they offer exactly that. I got the green iced tea and it was very delicious! I highly recommend it. I got banh xeo and goi dudu as my Asian "tapas." The banh xeo was bursting with flavorful and they even had a vegan fish sauce which I really liked for it's citrusy notes. The My Quang was very tasty too. The broth was smooth, creamy and savory.

Great vegan food. Really good value lunch menu. It should be kept in mind that card payments are only starting at 15€. It’s not mentioned anywhere :(

As a non vegan, I was positively surprised throughout the evening because so many people waiting to get seated. The service is good but the food is not that tasty since I already tried many other vegan restaurants. Of course Munich also has something nice. Soy is good place but a little bit overrated.

Best Asian restaurant for vegans!!! I was extremely happy to hear there’s going to be the first fully vegan Asian restaurant in Munich opening around the corner. I’ve been here multiple times; the food is always excellent, the rations are perfectly prepared, the price is suitable and the service always friendly. Last year I’ve celebrated my birthday here - all the non-vegans were just as impressed as I am. We need more places like this!

Soy Vegan restaurant is a must-try, but reservations are advisable. The food is exceptional, and the staff are friendly. Waiting at the bar is an option if you don't mind a lively atmosphere. As a solo diner, I found it comfortable. However, be aware that the restaurant's volume might be too loud for some. If you're a fan of vegan cuisine, it's worth a visit despite the noise level.

We had a lunch menu. The soup was great. Vegan, I liked it. I think the portions are huge. Meaningful price.

Great service, as well as a fantastic selection of vegan meals and drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic ones). Wide variety of tapas on the menu makes this a good option for dining as a hroup. The pho in particular was out of this world (and the portion was quite huge!)

Vegan restaurant with focus on soy products however it is no problem to ask for non-soy options. It is rather pricy and service is friendly but not ideally timed. Food was okay but there are better Asian options, tried the Asian tapas and honestly they all tasted pretty much the same, even though they looked different. Wouldn't repeat the visit but rather try a different restaurant.

This is now my favourite restaurant! The food is simply amazing. The spicing was really well done and the seitan is one of the best I have ever tried. Also you get a good amount of veggies in your meal, not like at the usual asian places where if youre lucky, you have two pieces of broccoli on your plate. Also the cold drinks were made of fresh ingredients and were really refreshing. Even the dessert, though simple, was rich in taste!

Had a set lunch option. There are some nice choices. I like the silken tofu. I'm not sure the waiters understand all requests. My friend asked for a smaller portion of rice and seemed to get more. The spring roll is lovely, very nicely made and fresh. My main dish lacked flavour but I liked the vegetable and silken tofu texture.

Everything about this place is amazing. Thank you for the pho chay.

  • 4/5 Wissam Abi N. 10 months ago on Google
The food is delicious and has a unique flavour that keeps you craving to come back. I do recommend the soup and the red cari with rice, a bit spicy but wow. The only two things that we did not like about the food is the dumpling, it was terrible and the soft drinks are not that great. The service is nice but the senior staff are a bit rude and careless. The waitress are lovely and cooperative. The atmosphere is ok, in summer the smell is stinky inside and the chairs are not comfortable.

Possibly one of the best vegan restaurants in Munich. The food was so delicious!! Highly recommended!

The staff is very friendly and authentic. The food is very delicious! We were 3 adults and 2 kids. We ordered 2 Sets of dishes for 2, and it was very satisfying. Definitely a place I'll visit again 👍🏼

Got the last table for dinner because we went without reservation (would recommend to make one!). Food came quickly and was very delicious, even my non-vegan friend was hyped.

Excellent vegan food. If in Munich you must go here.

  • 4/5 Natalia S. 7 months ago on Google
Nice place, but the food was a tad bland for Thai. I did not go for anything spicy as previously found it too spicy. Wish there were mid-spicy dishes, not just "yes" or "no" spicy. Lovely interior though and the staff were nice, even if quite busy. You cannot pay with card there so bring cash

The amount of times I've been to Soy is uncanny. I bring everyone who visits me there and it is a go to place for celebration meals. Food tastes amazing, I especially love their menu set 3 as you get soup, two starters and two main dishes and this way you can try multiple things. Their desserts are also very nice, my favourite being the sticky rice banana.

Cool atmosphere Nice selection of dishes and the tofu is really tender Service could be better, it was just very neutral

Great selection of dishes! I had the seaweed salad and the dumpling soup - and both were fantastic. Will surely visit again and would recommend this over Chay - where I had a horrible experience - any day!

Nice food at nice price. If you got seaten at the bar, the stools could be a bit higher though.

  • 5/5 Pac D. 2 years ago on Google
The hot pot was most definitely one of the best meals of my life! The mushrooms were out of this world. The staff were all so attentive, friendly and helpful. The Mocktails refreshingly different yet undoubtedly delicious! I can't wait to go again!

Very good food, really nice ambience. The food was just a little less hot for our palettes, but that is expected in a restaurant in Munich.. nothing to complain. Definitely will visit again !

Highly recommend for Vegetarians and Vegans !! Have visited this place 4 times in the last 2 months. Really really delicious food. Very friendly staff, nice ambience, good vibes all around. If you are confused about what to choose, feel free to ask the staff. They explain the dishes very well and then you have what you want to eat.

Table Topper in the list of vegan restaurants. I am a very skeptical person when it comes to vegan restaurants but hands down this was best restaurants I have been into. Food is fantastic.

  • 5/5 Bálint B. 2 years ago on Google
Not the cheapest place and it was quite crowded when we were there (though it was a Friday evening), but there is a good reason for both: it is that good! I only have been for a week in China, but this is the closest thing to it that I found here, in Europe. This is the most authentic (vegan) Asian restaurant I have visited. The food is amazing with decent portions. Pro tip: get some Tofu Chien Com as appetizer - it is so crunchy… it’s amazing!

very very good place for a nice soup! super tasty!

  • 4/5 Ilma I. 1 year ago on Google
Lovely atmosphere inside, really enjoyed the lighting and the interior design overall. We went out for dinner and ordered tapas. The food was tasty, especially the dumplings, but we did find some dishes a bit too salty (such as the sweet and sour soup and the spicy fried tofu with vegetables). Other than that, we enjoyed our dinner!

  • 5/5 Maria K. 2 years ago on Google
Nothing to complain about - nice service (didn‘t want to have a rice as a side dish, got it replaced with steamed veggies no problem), tasty food. Even as non-vegetarian or non-vegan, if you do like tofu - that‘s the place to try something new! Reservation is needed even on Monday evening though.

Vegan Restaurant with a nice modern style in the Maxvorstadt area! Very nice and the food is great! I will recommend this restaurant for sure!

  • 4/5 Laura K. 2 years ago on Google
Really delicious vegan food, many different dishes to choose from. Beautiful interior design. Drinks a bit overpriced with too many big ice cubes. Staff friendly and fast order.

  • 4/5 Parnal P. 2 years ago on Google
One more exquisite Vegan restaurant in the town. Really nice and cozy. Multiple options to choose from. Must try number 20 from the tapas menu. Tried "Zen garden" in drinks.. which was ok. A must visit even if you are not vegan/vegetarian. Noodles and rice dishes are on the expensive end. Reservation is a must if you don't want to wait in the line.

  • 5/5 Ievgen G. 2 years ago on Google
The only thing that was average here is mint orange tea. Everything else is 100% 5 stars very very good (including the stylish interior) we have ordered menu for #2 (49Eur) + Zen Garden drink One of the best Asian places in Munich.

Great vegan cuisine in Munich. Loved every dish we tried and hope to be a regular. The food is really good and one feels it truly. The service during peak times could be slow however, no impact on food. Do try their chocolate mousse and crispy dumplings!

  • 5/5 Rafael B. 1 year ago on Google
The food was really good and tasty. The restaurant is very nice and the service was super good, all very kind and helpful. The price is a bit expensive for me (but this depends from person to person), therefore 5 stars for a munich restaurant.

Excellent food, place and service! 5 stars. The food was perfect and the flavors took us back to Vietnam. Well-served and authentic. Nice environment and people serving are super kind 😀
