Ruined our day! We wanted to have some good Indian food and found this restaurant on our way. However, the way we were treated by the waiter was absolutely disgusting. Looks like they do not prefer fellow Indians walking in, which was very evident from their treatment. Food is not that great either. Would definitely not be visiting this place in my lifetime!

We had a particularly terrible experience with this restaurant. After we had been directed to the table and settled down, the staff informed us that we would be required to meet a minimum billing requirement of the management. This requirement is neither displayed outside of the restaurant nor mentioned on the website. So I assume, this was one way to make us voluntarily get up and leave the restaurant (which we gladly did!). I would say the restaurant is doing a fantastic job of losing its customers with rude service.

This restaurant is one among the worst...Indians would be treated in an ugly way by the owner and I don't know how Germans are treated...the owner would behave as if we have come to that restaurant to eat for free of cost.. Good buisness can happen only when you treat your customers right( Owner). Food was also not great and with very less quantity for a huge price. So overall worst place and below average food.

I would never recommend this Restaurant to anyone due to the rude behaviour by people serving food. Also there is completly different behaviour between German people and Indians. The food taste and quality se not at all worth the money. Even after telling the man for his rude behaviour he did not accepted it and asked us to leave. I do not understand how can someone treat guests like this.

The worst service I have ever got. We have ordered Red Wine and when the. Manager gave us it was full of small flies in it(more than 10). When asked he said it is wine strains. After arguing and we asked for spoon to verify it was small flies, the manager was not worried to check is it files or something else. He gave the spoon and went away and we have to stop him to see what inside the Glass. The manager was not at all sorry for this nor he apologies and he was very rude and disrespectful. Avoid going in this restaurant.

The worst Indian cuisine I have ever had in Munich. It was not at all authentic and also tasted very raw. And biriyani tasted worst than any fried ries. Found the staff behaviour shrude as well... Will definetly not recommend to any Germans ....

Possibly the worst restaurant experience I've ever had! I was here on a date and the restaurant staff were rude and hostile! We were forced to literally leave mid-meal! The food was also mediocre. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night -which says a lot about the atmosphere...

Here’s a tourist review. It’s in the city centre. Clean and tidy. About 20 tables. Food is really good and taste fresh portions are good. Prices are reasonable ordered two main dishes for about €33. Read the comments about how not friendly they are, but didn’t experience that and I think I would care mostly about how clean, tasty, and prices before I would consider how friendly they are. Enjoy.

Literally the worst Indian restaurant visited across many countries been to..all bcoz of the attitude of the owner/ waiter / customer service whoever it was… We were quite excited to come across this Indian restaurant while scouting for a place to hog. Firstly inspite of half the restaurant being empty, we were shown a dingy corner table close to the toilet. This was the only table which had no candle nor any cutleries. The guy acted as though he was doing a favour to have us at his restaurant. Now when we started ordering, we informed him that we will order further depending on portion size and appetite. He informed that he was short of staff (could be true. I will not judge this) and will not take orders later. Inspite us having appetite to eat more, could not order. It was a poor experience. Avoid this place. There are plenty of Indian restaurants in 10 mins walking radius.

Being vegetarian we had limited options and being with another friend who had wanted particular dishes, we ended up heading here. While the ambience was nice like others in the neighborhood, the inside was quite warm as the time passed, though there were barely 5 guests in total in 2 tables at the time. The flavours were good, but the gobhi pakodas and aloo gobhi (cauliflower) dishes felt they were undercooked. This could have been better to improve the overall experience.

The front guy was quite inhospitable as not willing to answer the queries regarding dishes.Also, not interested in catering food , beviour was quite bad . Due to this front boy we decided to get up without having food .

The food was incredible! I’m visiting from Vancouver and it was so nice to have authentic Indian food. Probably the best Indian restaurant I’ve tried in all of Europe. It tasted the way it does back home. Customer service was also wonderful. Highly recommend!

We walked into this restaurant by chance. After a lot of sightseeing we stumbled into this place. Tucked away from the bustling crowds it is anice place to sit and relax. We had veg and non veg food. Excellent authentic taste of India. Highly recommend this place. Good portion size too. 👌 Wish we could visit again but we are just passing by...

Garam Masala is one of the absolute best Indian restaurants in Munich. I used to visit from time to time when I lived in Munich, and it is one of very few restaurants that I always go back to when visiting the city. The food is amazing. They put pride in what they do, and the service is always good. Extra plus for having a lot of vegetarian alternatives. If you are a fan of Indian food you can't go wrong with this one.

The food is great, it is not very clean inside but it is Indian so no expectations. Service ws ok. Been there 10+ times. Never had an issue.

The waiter was super rude. Bit pricy in my opinion. Taste of dish was upto the mark. I learnt that rice is not accompanied by any dish that you order for such high prices. Perhaps onetime is enough!

Garam masala was worst experience and pethatic service no man power, waiting to long, arrogant i dought wheather he is Indian restaurant when I ask he avoid to answer, sad part is if he is running Indian restaurant he should proud to say I am Indian, will not review about the food as all over experience was bad.

Went there two weeks back, food was good but services are not even close to ok They have very slow service i had to wait around 40 45 minutes to get my order. Prices are on higher side if we compare them to other good indian restaurants in the city but services are not even close to them.

Had a Tasty and Yummy Dinner In Garam Masala..Food Was Awesome, I have tasted in many restaurants in Munich, but Food in Garam Masala was very good.

I usually never write review but this is the best indian restaurant i’ve been to!!! i don’t understand why this restaurant doesn’t have more Stars. It’s the best indian restaurant we’ve been to. The food is so fine and well seasoned, so comforting. The prices are great for such quality. You have to wait a little but for the food to come out (about 30 min) but it is so worth the wait. The produce are so fresh. Without a doubt the best indian food we’ve had.

Had waited for more than an hour to get food served to table and almost my hunger pangs are settled on its own by the time I received my ordered food sitting at the restaurant. The taste of food also is not what I expected it to be, so I would rate 1 or 2 stars. It's purely my experience, doesn't have to do anything with others who likes the place and food.cheers!!

Normally in restaurants they serve rice to the gravy. These people don’t serve rice. Not at all customer friendly.

Normally, I don’t write reviews but since I totally disagree with the recent ratings I had to write one. The food at Garam Massala is excellent and the service is also great. As a neighbour, I’m a regular customer here. Can definitely recommend Palak Paneer as well as all the other dishes. In my opinion really one of the best Indian restaurants in Munich.

I will cross the Atlantic and visit Munich just to eat at Garam Masala. Their lentil soup is to die for and worth the trip in itself. I bought there countless of people and no one left disappointed. I confess I searched and searched the internet to find the recipe , tried many but never came close to the flavor or that soup. The rest of the menu is excellent but the lentil soup is outstanding

Absolutely delicious traditional Indian dishes and very friendly service in a nice and quiet setting. A huge variety of menu items to choose from including a vegetarian menu. Definitely recommend!

The ambiance is good, food is tasty and menu is pricey. I recommend this place for a good date and to taste Indian food. It's not as spicy as the restaurant name sounds but the food is worth a try for foreign nationals. However Indians who wants to have the spiciest food, steer away.

Delicious food, very nice atmosphere. My girlfriend and I had a delocious vegetarian feast!

Taste is bad. After waiting 40 mins when we received our order the rotis were very cold and dry. When we ask the waiter he said 🙄 its a busy day. As if he is serving for free. And after we came home back they added extra dishes to our bill which was unacceptable 😑

In my opinion, this place is underrated. I had a group dinner yesterday in this restaurant. The staff was friendly, the food tasted very good and there are lots of vegetarian options as well. The only reason to not rate to 5 starts are the waiting times. For the drinks and the food we were waiting quite longer as expected. Other than than, I totally recommend the place and I will come again!
