Super authentic and local vibe. Small tables, many people, fast service and of course wonderful noodles and broth. It felt like I was back in a food court and China. secret tip: if you ask nicely - you might get seconds 😉

On top of having absolutely delicious food, the service is outstanding! I was wearing a new white top (not ideal for slurping lol) and the server offered me his apron to protect my clothes 🥺 A++ Since there is a no tipping policy, the least I can do is leave a raving review. Vielen dank!

Fantastic place for noodles in Munich. We ordered the Max's noodles and the Hongshao Noodles. The waiter explained to us that the taste isn't exactly the Lanzhou style, to accommodate for the local tastes. We found the broth to still be very tasty and hearty. It does help if you can speak Chinese, and the small talk makes the environment and ambience even better (preferably Mandarin, but some waiters can understand Cantonese). Be sure to ask for refills of the soup and noodles if you're hungry; it's free of charge and the waiters are happy to give this to you. Note we also had to had to wait in what I would consider a long line, but the wait time was quick and we got in around after 15 mins of waiting. You also get free tea and prawn chips while you are waiting.

The noodle is handmade, the beef is super tender, the broth so flavourful. Perfect for winter. Cold weather with warm soup. I was here for many times but never get bored. They don’t accept reservations and tips! Such a genuine seller. The ambiance so good with really good food. Recommended for you who likes noodle and Chinese atmosphere. They serve also veggies btw. Asian approved! ✅

We were craving some Chinese food after travelling for a while in Europe and eating bread, cheese and cured meat everyday. Luckily we came across this popular Chinese noodle restaurant which had a queue outside. We lined up and soon we were served warm green tea and prawn crackers by the friendly staff. We ordered whilst in the line so the food came quickly once we were seated. This is a very efficient system! The service was warm and friendly as we could speak Chinese to them. We got two noodles and a seaweed salad. The food was delicious and had a great homemade taste to it. The chilli oil is also homemade and very aromatic! In the end we were offered free refills of the noodle and the soup which we gladly accepted. We left feeling very full and satisfied! This is a real gem in Munich and we would definitely come back again if we had the chance.

"Max's Beef Noodles is an absolute gem! I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I can't stop raving about their incredible beef noodle soup. The flavors were exquisite, and the broth was rich and comforting. Every spoonful was a delight to my taste buds. Moreover, I was deeply impressed by the warm welcome and exceptional service provided by the staff. Their friendly and attentive nature enhanced my overall dining experience. The restaurant has a cozy ambiance, perfect for a relaxing meal. I highly recommend Max's Beef Noodles to all food enthusiasts. If you're craving delicious beef noodle soup coupled with outstanding customer service, this is the place to be. A definite 5-star experience that I will cherish and revisit!"

Was super happy to find this noodle place! The noodles are handmade and freshly made, and you get free tea! The gyoza is also very delicious 🤤 Have been there twice, and both soup and fried noodles are tasty (though I prefer the soupy ones). Will definitely be a regular here

The service is very friendly. All the noodle is handmade. We had three appetisers and 1 soup noodle with sauerkraut chicken, 1 fried noodle. The noodle soup is really tasty and fried noodle is slightly burned which was my favourite. For 2 people, that has a huge column and we did not finish the meal in the end. So pay careful how much you order here.

Authentic Chinese ramen! Highly recommend this place. They have an open kitchen and clean comfortable environment, and most importantly delicious and comfortable noodle soup. Compared to so hyped Japanese ramen, Chinese is more tasty to my opinion and less oily. You really feel gratifying and soothing in your stomach after the food. I like the old grandpa who waited our table and the auntie who greeted us after food. She asked me if we had enough food, just like when you visit a Chinese family how the warm-hearted hostess treats you. They are friendly and humble people, not so talkative but truly cares about the food and their customers.

Amazing. Great experience, authentic Chinese food and venue. Lots of Chinese people eat here, it’s a busy place that worked even in the 2nd day of Christmas. Free cup of tea. Fair and honest prices, they also don’t take tips. Best Spring rolls that I’ve had: crispy, light, not fat. Good gyoza and cucumber salad. Self-made noodles! One of the guys there speaks some Russian :) Understandable Chinese font in the menu: I could read some of it. 谢谢你!

Came here recommended by a good friend and it did not disappoint! Noodles are freshly handmade right in the restaurant. We had the Hong shao niu rou mian and the chong qing noodles. Although the Hong shao broth could've been deeper in flavour, they were still very good and satisfying! The line gets long during dining hours, so make sure to get there early for a seat!

Got served green tea as a treat before our food came, it was a nice gesture and I really liked it. Our food came very fast and was tasty but we found it a little lacking in vegetables. Prices were reasonable, but there weren’t many vegetarian/vegan options.

Great place for a quick and fresh noodle lunch/dinner. Don't be scared of the long queue. The waiting time is under 10 min and you will get a free cup of tee while waiting. The food is delicious and the noodles are fresh. We chose shrimp noodles, vegetable noodles and chicken and rice. All were delicious. I highly recommend the place.

Very delicious Only accept cash. But don't worry if you come without cash. The Waiter allowed me to eat first then go to withdraw cash. Chongqing noodles is spicy. Also offer free tea while waiting

My dear friend recommended this restaurant last year and ever since, we come here all the time we are in the city center. The noodles are just freshly handmade in front of you. The entire staff is mega friendly and it is my boys favourite place to go. Very delicious noodle soups! Today we added the fried chickens and got to try on the shrimp spring rolls 😋 Usually we have a seat quickly, but today, there was a question and despite the rain, we waited 30 mins. It was worth it in the end! Would certainly recommend this place!!

We tried different noodle soups, Max's, Mala, Hongqai. All of them were delicious in different ways. Hearty bowls of soup with hand made noodles with a chewy texture and soft big chunks of beef. Didn't like the appetisers as much though. The place is always busy, you'll have to wait outside, but the wait is definitely worth it. Making a reservation will probably cut your wait time a bit. The atmosphere is more like eating quick and getting out, but we didn't mind. The price was very reasonable too. Highly recommended.

The absolute best Noodle soup in Munich. The broth will warm your soul and the handmade noodles will fill your belly with happiness. Don’t be discouraged by the line to get in. 100% worth it!

This place was recommended by a friend and is an absolute gem. Here's why: 1. They hand-make the noodles in front (you can see them make it!) 2. The service is super quick and they do not take any tips 3. Absolutely delicious food We were a group of 6 on a cold Saturday morning. We were asked to decide our order on a menu card, before being seated. For starters, we called for a Spinach Salad (must try), Gyoza (must try), Tofu and Frühlingsrollen. For mains, we ordered the Chongqing Noodles (soup based), Vegetarian Noodles and Chicken rice. Based on the common consensus, the soup based noodles were the best.! The food was on the table in <5 mins and the service was warm. We were also given a cup of hot tea (on the house) at the end. The prices were very reasonable (we paid ~85€ for our group) Do expect a long line outside during peak hours. Will definitely visit again.

These were the best Ramen Noodles I've ever had. I don't mean the dish overall. I mean the noodles specifically. The noodles are freshly made. They have great texture and a great taste. The establishment is a bit small but the servers are very kind. Some of the servers could neither speak english nor german but when confronted with a question they couldn't answer they immediately got a colleague to help. In the end I wanted to tip the servers, but they declined. They told me it's a part of their culture not to accept tips.

There was a queue of around 16-17 people when we arrived, but we were told that it would thin out quickly. And so it did🙂 There are printed menus kept near the entrance allowing you to order before you're seated. Hence a minimum waiting time at the tables 🤓 The restaurant has an open kitchen by the roadside window that smartly showcases the preparation of handmade noodles by chefs. Thus, passersby can also see the noodles being handmade from the outside. We ordered the staple Beef Noodles and Gyoza 🥟. Food was "super lecker" 😋🤤. Service is quick and they even give an extra bowl of flat noodles (without the soup and beef, I mean). The only drawback is their cash-only payment. So make sure you have to avoid running around for 🏧 in Sendlinger Tor.

We needed a break from all the sausages & iterations of pork dishes so we gave this place a try & we are glad we did. The noodles were freshly made in-house & the broth were just so home-y yet complex. We tried and recommend Max’s beef and hongshao noodles.

Even though there's always a queue, it actually moves pretty fast and the service is super efficient anf friendly, even handing out tea and spring rolls while you're in the queue :D you pick what you eat while being in the queue, and once you're seated the food already starts coming so the service is very fast. Good food as well & great choice for a quick dinner.

We came quarter to six there was already a queue outside, but luckily it didn’t take long till we got our seats. The service was good and staff very friendly, free jasmin tea really welcoming. Ordered mala noodles and wan tun noodles with beef spinach and dumplings as snack. They came all within 15 minutes. The potions were big and so YUMMY, but the price was so fair that I couldn’t even believe! Highly recommended! That’s the best beef noodles we ever had!

On a cold autumn evening, what could be more soothing than a steaming bowl of beef noodles? By the time dinner hour arrived, there was already a long queue, and the waitstaff would occasionally come out to serve hot tea and shrimp chips, making the wait less boring. We ordered the signature Max beef noodles, braised beef noodles, and the highly recommended cold beef salad, cold beef tripe, and fried chicken. Every dish was delicious, with rich and authentic flavors. Highly recommended for every hot noodle soup lover!

Went here for the first time today and was blown away by the food. We went during lunch time and had to wait for a bit. But we were served complimentary green tea while we waited, never have I experienced this in Munich so far. We ordered Mala Noodles and the Chicken Noodle bowl (don’t remember the exact name), both bowls were really good. Noodles are made fresh for each order and the beef was just so tender. Loved it. Will definitely come again

Definitely a must go place. Super fast service, perfect central location and the food is really delicious. This is not your average Chinese takeout place and I found the prices quite justified. I took the Mali Noodle Soup, super tasty. The hand made noodles are so good. Definitely going there again.

Fantastic handmade noodles and awesome tasty soup. Rounded off with local Augustiner beer, it is definitely hard to top in Munich. Reasonably priced (most soups at 12 Euro) and definitely a great value for the quality and quantity they deliver. There was a line but not a terribly long wait. This is a "no tip" place. What you order is what you get is what you pay. Loved it!

These tangy, aromatic, comforting beef noodle is one of the most popular noodle dishes in China. Originates from the city Lanzhou from Northwest China, this famous beef noodle dish is synonymous with Lanzhou. However I do find it difficult to enjoy them fully while doing take away. The noodle loose its elasticity while being reheated at home, but if you don’t heat it again, the flavour is not as intense. Also the portion is on the smaller side considering it cost €12 per bowl.

The beef noodle is quite awesome and tasty. The flavor is pretty similar with Asian’s one, I will definitely come back again. The service is extremely outstanding, they provide free Chinese tea and beef soup refilling. Nice, I highly recommend!

My favourite Chinese handmade noodles in Munich. If you like spicy food go for the 'mala' ones if not then the max beef noodles. You get an extra round of noodles (only) if you ask for it. They don't accept tips as well. Feels like being in restaurant in China.

  • 5/5 KunBin C. 7 months ago on Google
Nice people, good service, tasty beef noodles which is not oily, nor salty, just fine, the flavor is great same as in my hometown. The noodles is truly handmade so keep its bounce and fresh. Btw, I waited 20 min in line, the queue is always!

  • 5/5 Nicholas P. 6 months ago on Google
Authentic Chinese beef noodle! Big portions and taste great. Always a long line but they are kind enough to serve tea and prawn crackers to the people in the line. I was in Munich for a few days and have already visited twice.

  • 5/5 Yee Ling T. 2 years ago on Google
Super authentic beef noodle with the chef trained in Lanzhou, China! The chef hand pulls the noodle only when you order. Chewy noodle with tasty yet not salty broth. Super friendly people too! Can't wait to go back again soon.

Ordered Nr. 20 Max's Beef Noodle and Nr. 21 Hongshao Beef Noodle. Both of the dishes used the same base broth. The taste of the beef broth was quite rich flavour but not too rich which is great!. The noodle itself was very chewy and beautifully hand made. Both of the 2 kinds of beef was very tender and tasty. With the price itself the portion was definitely worth it and affordable. Last but not least the waiter was very friendly indeed. p.s they also gave us a free green tea for each person :)

after 2 months on exchange in europe, this hearty hand-made bowl of beef noodles genuinely healed my asian tastebuds. there’s a sweet little boy (he’s max!!!) who gives out the utensils, a hardworking chef who makes the noodles in house, and the overall atmosphere was so homely 😭😭😭 好食好食!! max’s beef noodles 加油!!!! 🍲🍲🍲

We were lucky that there was no queue as we arrived and immediately got a table. We ordered mala noodles, Max's noodles, and seetang salad. For me Mala noodles were not spicy at all but they provide chilli oil at every table. While Max's noodles have a lighter broth. The staff is very friendly and works efficiently. However, they refused to be tipped.

  • 5/5 Nikola K. 2 years ago on Google

Nice hearty noodle bowls, perfect for the colder days. The ordering process is easy and food is served quickly. The freshness and chewiness of the noodles is perfection. The Mex beef noodles was slightly bland for us , the Chongqing noodles with chicken was our favourite . The gyozas were generously filled and worth trying.

Max's beef noodles is a really great place, you have to stand in the queue most of the time. But the queue moves fast enough, and you decide what you want to eat before you enter. The noodles are made right there and you can see the chef making it. I had the original Max's beef noodles and the noodles were great and the broth was awesome. The only thing is that they rush you when you eat as well, which does make sense as people are queueing up but still is not the best of experience.

  • 4/5 Mats K. 2 years ago on Google
Small noodle restaurant. I got a seat without waiting luckily. The noodle soup dishes taste very good and make you full. One dish costs 12 €. Main star of the dishes are the handmade noodles. There should be more ingredients added. I only had 4 meat slices and little bit vegetables. But overall, I like the food there.

  • 5/5 Marija J. 10 months ago on Google
The noodles were good, but keep in mind that the menu is not too varied. By that I mean, there are a few options that are good, but do not expect a multiple page menu or anything. The location is super convenient and the pricing fair. I was very happy with the portion sizes, as they are definitely filling. I'd say it's a great place to grab-and-go, but it was a tiny bit disruptive for my taste. For example, the employees kept opening the drawer for cutlery under our table repeatedly, which I was not impressed by. However, they are very sweet and welcoming. If you like noodles on the spicier side, definitely ask for extra spice, as I do believe the flavor is accommodated to German standards. Overall, I'd definitely go again! Also, BRING CASH, they do not take card :)

  • 3/5 Woody K. 10 months ago on Google
Taste was just ok and not outstanding in taste. If you are craving for Asian foods after a week in Europe, it was satisfied and fulfilled.

  • 4/5 Chelvis C. 1 year ago on Google
Authentic asian flavours, rich and flavourful broths. Staffs were friendly. Slightly pricy for a bowl of asian noodles in my opinion but happy to revisit soon!

  • 5/5 Andreas K. 11 months ago on Google
A fast casual Chinese noodle place with absolutely amazing food. The prices are moderate for Munich, and definitely filling, the dishes are deliberately not westernized (e.g. marinaded tripe salad), and as such, they're not afraid to use spices. The crowd seemed young and international. Even if you only pass by, it's a joy to watch them through the window hand-pull the noodles.

  • 5/5 Aron S. 2 years ago on Google
I’m not a fan of inauthentic Chinese food so I normally just avoid Chinese food. But I wasn’t given a choice tonight. Thankfully, Max’s Beef Noodles is the genuine articles. The noodles were fresh, the stock flavoursome, the chilli was just right, and the beef was tender.

  • 5/5 Hai Anh N. 1 year ago on Google
Very good handmade noodles, the beef were tender and broth was very rich and nicely seasoned. If you have to wait in line for a bit longer, you will recieve a warm cup of green tea from the staff. Over all a very nice and authentic experience. Totally recommend !

One of my go to places when I’m spontaneously craving for comfort food. The noodle soups are very delicious and you can never go wrong with their max beef noodle soup!

  • 4/5 Bulent Y. 2 years ago on Google
No tipping allowed! But the food is excellent. I had deep fried dumplings for starters and a bowl of mala spicy noodles, which were hellishly so. The beef was tender and melts in the mouth, while the noodles are indeed freshly made on the premises, thick and chewy and just the right consistency. Staff were efficient and courteous, and it wasn't too busy to grab a table on Friday lunchtime. Will go again (and again).

Yummy beef soup noodles with lots of flavour. I absolutely loved the beef slices as they were super tender and delicious. The noodles were also made and cooked well. What I loved the most were the Chinese-speaking staffs, who were super lovely and friendly - great service! Oh, there was also free Chinese tea to compliment your meal so that's amazing!

  • 5/5 Nine T. 1 year ago on Google
Noodles are great and super authentic! Beef is melt in your mouth tender and you’ll want to drink all the broth. Love that they keep tradition and give you a free glass of tea. No AC so it’s hot in there, but that’s reminiscent of the local experience.

  • 4/5 Mel B. 2 years ago on Google
Small cozy place; while you wait for a table you are gifted some green tea to warm you up. The gyoza is particularly good, the ramen is okay (mine had cilantro, which I didn’t know, and I hate cilantro), not as rich and full of different toppings as I had in other places, but still ok. Have in mind that it’s very busy and you might have to wait for a table

I stepped into this little restaurant at 11.55am for lunch today, grabbing a table for one. At 12.05pm, the place was heaving with slurping customers in every corner, and a queue outside! Insanely fresh, homemade noodles made by the team in the open kitchen, fast and friendly service, free tea. I had the beef noodle soup - delicious. Cash payments only.
