Excellent oysters n seafood. Service was superb, attentive without being intrusive. Outdoor seats would have been perfect but was too cold in winter. Indoor do not have proper seats so only 3 stars for atmosphere.

Although we were initially intimidated by the slightly cramped seating space and fast-food ordering style, all the food we’ve ordered were extremely delicious and value-for-money. Highly recommend ordering the seafood tomato pasta and the mussels which tasted so fresh and hearty! The staff were also very attentive and kind to explain the menu when we had a few questions as well :)

Food is fresh and excellent, especially the oysters and the seafood pasta. It is a small but cozy place. One of my favorite places at Viktualienmarkt.

Popped in for lunch at the suggestion of a Lonely Planet guidebook and we were very happy with our seafood and oysters! The market experience is not to be missed and this gem feels very local and authentic. Would definitely recommend it 👍

A beloved fish restaurant/shop by the locals, their Bouillabaisse is never disappointing, the only issue is that they don’t do reservations and the queue is always massive, they have very limited seating space.

Perfect fish. Friendly service. A wonderful spot if you are at the market and want to eat a high end fish meal. We just walked in and got a table, no Reservation was needed.

I love this place! When I'm craving very good fish, I don't have doubts about Poseidon. Oysters and Bouillabes are the best part.

If you're looking for see food while in Viktualienmarkt, this is the place to be. Poseidon offers few dishes but very well prepared. The Bouillabaisse is a must to have, cannot go wrong with it. The service is fast and friendly. They have tables mainly outside, so you need to wish for a pleasent sunny day. Definitely reccomended

If you want to have see food and don’t want to spend a lot of money this is a fair choice. The restaurant is small, so don’t go with a big group. However the food options are various and the beverage menu is also appealing. I enjoyed my lunch there and tried the oysters, codfish and tuna tartar.

This is a seafood market that also has a restraunt eating area. It's great to see the fresh seafood and also be able to watch the preparation and enjoy eating what you have selected. We ordered the scallops, fish stew and muscle pasta. ALL were great. The place is run by a mother and son family duo. They are very nice and social. The place is clean and a good place to people watch. Had a good time. I say check it out.

Quit good food. Service bearish.

Came 10 minutes before closing. Waiter outside refused to seat us. Manager inside the shop told him to. He did, but removed the awning, leaving us and the rest of the customers in the rain. Clearly some of their employees don’t care much about their business or customers. I won’t be back.

Good bouillebaise but a bit expensive. Fifteen euros and maybe had three chunks of fish. I only went because the Witte was full

I can only comment on the seafood pasta and the fish soup because this is all I've ever eaten here. Especially the seafood pasta is out of this world!! A must have at Poseidon!

A place we go to when we crave for great bouillabaisse. Seafood here is always fresh and service top notch. Their wine also pairs very well with everything on their menu.

Bought the salmon to make sushi back home. Salmon was fine, but some skin (requested for no skin) and scales remained. Been here a few times and the service varies - some good experiences and some bad.
