The atmosphere is francophile but not only and this is what makes the charm of the place ; you can meet all nationalities and discuss anything and everything with a person you didn't know a few moments before. Come and discover the atmosphere of this friendly place. You will be warmly welcomed by Jean, the owner. Good times guaranteed. The only thing you will want when you leave the place.....is to come back as soon as possible.

You have to walk through a restaurant to get upstairs, but once you do, the French ambience greets you. I always enjoy nice conversation and affordable drinks 🍻

Had a great night full of nice conversation/connection and drinks here. We felt right at home even though we don’t speak Japanese. The owner speaks English French and Japanese. The drinks but above all the atmosphere and conversation with the super friendly owner made it very special. Highly recommended to anyone!!

Wonderful community bar hidden on the second floor of a building - you have to cross another bar on the first floor to go to it. The French barman and owner Jean, if he's not too busy, has a lot of interesting life stories to tell to his clients, and can offer simple yet amazing French bar food to go with the drinks.

Super place!! Stumbled by this little nook in a side street of Osaka, looking for some shelter from the cool evening after quite a wet day. Our plan was to have a quick drink before settling down at our hotel. Before we knew it 3 hours had passed and we had such a great time speaking to the owner and just getting to know the locals. Jean was nice enough to give us his recommendations for Kyoto (the next on our journey) before we bid everyone farewell, having sampled his connection of Japanese Whiskey! Would recommend to anyone passing by the area who just wants a quick drink a chat and some downtime, away from the busy city!

Best place to have fun with nice and welcoming people. A good melting pot french, japanese and so on. Friendly ambiance, good music, bartender is lovely. Anytime again without question.

What a gem! Such a great atmosphere, delicious drinks and Jean the bartender and owner was such an amazing host. He knows so much about Osaka, the culture, and has such great taste in drinks and overall vibes! The space is so cool and filled with carefully selected decore. Regulars and traveling folks alike can come enjoy a great conversation. There’s a reason people have been coming back for 10+ years. Coming here was the absolute highlight of my trip. I’ll 100% be back next time I’m in Osaka.

Osaka Salon is an oasis! Jean is such a great guy to chat with whether it’s in Japanese, English, or French. It was a great opportunity to learn more about Japan in regards to culture, society, and even politics from someone who has a global perspective. He has a good selection of Japanese whiskies to sample and an even more impressive collection of vinyl he plays. You want pizza? He’ll dial up a spot down the street and you can walk down and pick it up, come back and pick out some old school records to spin. Want other food recs, no prob. It was really a haven and a place to recharge. You can bring the whole fam.
