Stumbled onto this bar locally to my hotel and was pleasantly surprised with the selection of whiskey behind the bar. Many whiskeys are no longer available. While it is a little pricey it's understandable if you want to try the top shelve and rare selection.Behind the bar was a master bartender Eiji. He was a true gentleman, very friendly and had a good sense of humour. Will definitely recommend his bar.

There is an amazing amount of whisky featured in this intimate bar! The owner has a lot of pride in his bar and made us feel very welcomed.

Simply delightful. Retired reporter turned his personal whiskey collection into a 6 seater bar in a basement. Eiji (the bar tender) is kind, knowledgeable and a joy to spend time with. If you stop at one bar in Osaka I highly recommend you pick this one

This is whiskey heaven. The owner was an incredibly kind, helpful and interesting human. Retired at opened the bar which was his dream. He's been collecting whiskeys for nearly 30 years and has some wonderful expressions. Go for a dramm or 3, sit, talk and listen. It's more like a 6 star place for me. Only 10 seats, but worth it if you can go.

Wow, Eiji is simultaneously the most knowledgeable and friendliest barkeep ever. Great selection of whiskys, and other liquors as well. Make this a quick stop or prolonged drinking session, either way you won't regret it!

Bartender is great! Very knowledgeable about whiskey and also extremely friendly and welcoming. The whiskey selection is incredible.

Eiji the owner is what makes this bar so special. Besides having one of the best selections of Japanese Whisky we saw while in Japan, he such a gentleman of a bartender who genuinely enjoys hosting people at his bar. Felt like we left not only buzzed from the awesome whisky flights, but with a new friend as well!

Best scotch bar in all of the Kansai region. His selection is incredible and the prices are exceptionally good. We went to a few others which also have great selection but his is better. Also, none of them have an earnest owner like Eijisan. He also has a menu of classic cocktails and writes on cocktail history so he knows his stuff.

If you love whisky, I highly recommend Bar UK. Eiji-San have a large collection of whisky. Some of them are limited and hard to find on market... we try the Suntory Pure Malt Whisky. It's from 1980's. Get a sweet and interesting malty taste. I love Eiji-San's "Matsuri No Ato"cocktails. It's made with vodka, matcha, matcha salt, lemon juice, coconut juice and vanilla syrup. The experience here are amazing. The price of the whisky and cocktails are reasonable.

Hidden gem doesn't come close. The owner is a gentleman, his knowledge of whisk(e)y is exceptional. Intimate and cozy bar, perfect.

Cosy basement bar with a great selection of whisky, both Japanese and international styles. The owner is very gracious to tourists, friendly and charming, and made us feel like we were visiting a friend! Highly recommended

A great bar for an end of day drink. The owner Eiji specialises in whisky, well over 100 to choose from. He is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, I enjoyed his recomendations. Spent 5 min carefully making a Moscow Mule for my wife. He has good English. Took a little to find downstairs, but was worth th effort.

This is a must in Osaka. A tiny bar in a basement with a very friendly, english speaking owner/barman and an impressive quantity of Whisky and an impressive galery of a paper cutting artist (Ittetsu Naruta).We had a very nice evening in this place.

Easily one of the coolest bars I've ever been too. Eiji, the owner, has an incredibly impressive whiskey collection and a delicious house blended scotch. The cocktails are also delicious, especially the original recipe Matcha cocktail. To top it all off the prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is great.

For me, this is the perfect bar: knowledgeable, friendly bartender with a vast inventory. But I don’t need to know the details. I can ask for what I want/don’t like and he delivers. Then I can ask for something similar, but different, so I can do the compare/contrast & expand my knowledge. Also, excellent snacks & food.

We had a wonderful experience at this bar. It was my husband’s birthday & Eiji made the evening so special. He has over 700 bottles that he collected over almost 10 years. His passion for his bar is obvious and touching. Thank you for making our last night in Osaka so memorable.
