I have been to this yakitori restaurant many times, and in my opinion, it is one of the very best. The owner (chef) and his wife (who often acts as hostess) are extremely friendly people. The atmosphere is informal but clean and pleasant. There is a good selection on the menu, which is mainly chicken, but there are also some pork and vegetable items. I highly recommend the skewered and grilled cherry tomatoes wrapped in cheese and bacon, the grilled white chicken smeared with either plumb sauce or wasabi, and the tsukune (chicken burger balls) grilled with a tare sauce and served with a raw egg yolk for a dip. But everything is good, so be adventurous. I'll be going back for sure.

Excellent yakitori in Kichijoji! The staff are kind and friendly. If you do not make a reservation, I recommend getting there right when they open. We enjoyed everything! Highlights included the cheesy bacon wrapped potatoes, garlic chicken, mushroom salad, and asparagus! The fresh lemon sours were also great! Highly recommend.

You know it’s going to be good when the small free starter dishes(tsukidashi) are so good that you would pay for it! We ordered yakitori, daikon, and tofu/intestine soup. This was the best tasting food I had in a while. A bit salty but it paired excellently with the beer. The staff were extremely on point with their service and friendly attitude. I can’t stress enough how delicious our meal was. No English menu so brush up on your Japanese or bring a local. I highly recommend this place!

We ventured out from central Tokyo and travelled quite a bit to this suburb just to come to this Izakaya. Is it worth it? Oh yes. The tsukune is grilled to perfection and I highly recommend you eat them with the raw egg yolk. The cold tofu is good and the yaki-onigiri is good too. The ambience is good, very down to earth and local. I don't think there's an English menu so it would be a bit of a problem if you can't speak or read Japanese. Overall, highly recommended. Will definitely come back here.

Superb izakaya fare and a lovely Japanese style atmosphere. No English on the menu so that could be problematic, but worth the pointing and smiling I think! Most recommended are the yakitori, the tofu and daikon steak and the crazy amount of Japanese sake available!

Absolutely delicious and totally affordable. We tried about eight different items from the menu and every one left us wanting more. Can't wait to come back!

A great yakitori place with tasty food and friendly service. Menu looks mostly focus on chicken but other skewers and sashimi also very yum. Highly recommended to try if visiting Kichijoji!
