Everything was fine until this morning when we found a bug in the bed. Searched images of bed bugs. We don't think that's what it was but also not certain. We told the girl at the front desk. She just said "I don't think it's a bed bug. Generally there's not bugs...." ๐Ÿค” seems like the standard goal for any hotel/motel. She then let me know it would be 5-7 business days before the security deposit hold would be back in my account. I'm going to feel itchy all day....

The hotel is going through some renovations, but you couldn't really tell. There was no breakfast available on the weekend, the bistro wasn't open, the room could have been cleaner, lots of cobwebs on the ceiling, and there were toys left from the previous people who stayed, this should have been cleaned really well, especially for the price we paid for a suite. The view from the 7th floor was unbelievable and the doors open for a fresh breeze coming from the lake. I would definitely stay here again, but would request a freshly cleaned suite.

Traveling from FL, we checked in late for a quick overnight stay, and were greeted with warm, welcoming smiles from the night time security gentleman and the front desk clerk. Andrew set us up with a quaint, cozy room on the second floor, tucked in behind the elevators. Very nice, large, quiet space with a beautiful view. Not much open since we arrived late on Easter Sunday, but they had a very nice selection of food, snacks, sweets and beverages in the shop across from the front desk. The indoor pool and spa looked amazing but we were too tired to enjoy it. The lobby and grounds were lovely - pictures do not do it justice! I only wish we had stayed longer to enjoy all the things this unique hotel had to offer!

Large room but very dated. Furniture worn. No way to lock the sliding doors to keep from kids opening them. Room 402 have to run the water for about 5 mins to get some hot water. Not worth $255 a night. Indoor pool very small. no safety latch on entrance door. Bathroom definitely needs update drop ceiling is dirty mold around tub faucet. Vanity that's falling apart at bottom I would recommend avoiding this hotel. It's not worth the money

We often make use of high end Choice Hotels in our travels due to the value they provide relative to their cost. This hotel does not fit that model for a Choice Hotel. The interior of the hotel is outdated (very dark and old). Signs indicate that they are doing major renovations to update the hotel but no actual renovation appeared to be taking place. The room was small, very dated, provided only a single chair, and had the smallest TV I have seen in in a hotel. The 4:00 PM check in time caused a lot of delay on arrival due to our room not being serviced. The price of the stay was certainly out of line for what we experienced at the hotel. We will not make use of this hotel again.

3/4 sides of this building face the water, even if you don't spring for the balcony you can open the sliding glass doors and soak in the breeze and the sounds of the lake. I was on the 9th floor and it was a great view. Only one elevator was working at the time so sometimes it would get crowded with people trying to go up or down from several floors, but the elevators are quite fast so it was manageable. Room was impeccably clean and there was a good assortment of different fill pillows as well. Bed was comfortable.

Booked a room 2 months ago for this past weekend only to be up charged more then $100 for a double queen room because of the festival we were attending that weekend! Absolutely not worth the $380 for 1 night! The elevator had dead bugs in the light, the one working hot tub smelled like dirty feet, our room AC was very loud, painting chipping off walls and shower head spraying water every direction. (Just a few things) There was no guest breakfast included! For what I paid, felt like I should of had a stocked mini bar! Very disappointed

Overall good place. Great rooms with lots of space. But the pool room seemed to have no ventilation and the pool had too much chlorine, so did the hot tub. After the trip to the pool room I struggled to breathe and it affected my eyes as well. Please fix this, otherwise, nice hotel.

The staff was amazing. The front counter team member DeSire was amazing. There was a mistake with our reservation and she still got us our room with no hassle. She is very professional and has a great personality. The rooms very large and clean. The only thing with rooms was only one garbage can and very small tv. That being said the location is great and the service amazing. We will definitely stay here again.

The Shoreline Inn has been our family vacation headquarters over the last 5-6 years. We haven't stayed anywhere else as we felt like we didn't need to....until now. The pros: service is always very good. They try hard and means something. The location is awesome. At the marina it's nice to wake up to the lake breeze and see a sunset from your room. Jts also about 15-25 minutes from the beach, Michigan adventure and Lewis Farms with walking distance to the downtown area. The cons: this hotel is seriously outdated. Like bad, especially for the premier price point it's set at and I don't see how they could really modernize it without closing it down for a long period. The rooms have holes and spackling in it, uncomfortable beds, unpredictable water pressure in the shower, unpredictable pool/jacuzzi operations and no real security in entering the hotel from the front or back. The security guard is only good for watching YouTube videos and vaping. We've seen several families just pull up and walk into the pool area (which can get full and wild quick). The hotel bar is good for a drink but closes way too early (bar at 10 and pool at 11?). Overall, knowing what it is going into it the stay can be more tolerable but we will definitely explore options in our next stay to get more for our hard earn money.

Lovely hotel with beautiful views. We enjoyed looking at the marina next door and tried the restaurant also. The restaurant was tasty, and we all loved the bread! The hotel has a pool and hot tub. My little one tried the indoor pool, and she said the temperature was perfect. Very safe area and staff was accommodating! Would stay at again!

Great place to stay on the water, clean room, friendly staff, comfortable bed. I left my bad laying in the parking lot while loading and was so pleased with the actions of the people involved. Someone turned in my bag and the young lady at the front desk found my contact info and called us and we were able to return and get it before we got to far away, forever grateful!!!!

From the moment we walked in to the moment we checked out. Staff was the most helpful and friendly. The room was breathtaking and the view of the water. It was located within walking distance of downtown which is a plus. I plan on staying here again hopefully sooner rather than later.

First let me say the staff was great! The room we had, not so much. The wall paper was coming apart at the seems, the bathroom ceiling consisted of a drop ceiling with the grid falling apart and the tiles filthy. The bathroom fan didn't work the paint in the entire room looked as if it has had zero maintenance in years. This was what I would think is a higher end room with jacuzzi and fire place with a $300.00 price for one night.

I stayed 1 night and i was on the 6th floor. There were full sliding glass door, no balcony but that's ok, I could open the door and get the fresh air in. In fact I slept with the door open. It's an older hotel, but you can tell it's been taken care of. The front desk clerk was super friendly and very welcoming. As I was checking in other people came in and she acknowledged everyone without making me feel ignored.

My boyfriend and I are staying at the Shoreline this weekend. It is his birthday and they have bent over backwards to help make it very special! I will update after our stay but thus far I am beyond! Impressedโค We have since stayed here a second time. This place has won a place in our hearts. Great memories made here! Definitely recommend!

We stayed 7 nights summer of '22. Well maintained grounds and pools. 5star view from our room. I wish our room had been a little cleaner at check in, but overall we had a fantastic stay. The bathroom do need an update, but for the price I paid I can't complain. Also the Lake House restaurant is EXCELLENT.

First night I stayed was the night before my wedding, room was nice at first and view was great but went to take a shower before bed and had no hot water! I called the front desk and was told maintenance would be up to check, come to find out maintenance had left for the night so I was left sitting waiting for nothing, luckily I had family staying down the hall I could shower in their room but everything was a mess upon check in with all the rooms we booked for my wedding block and everything! Spoke with the manager the next day and she was AMAZING at clearing things up and taking care of us!!

Ladies State bowling. Had a great stay and Although small, The Bistro inside the hotel was very nice and the server Emma provided us with great service. Very knowledgeable in the art of mixology and did her best to assure our needs were met. She kept the bar opened as she was very busy but did a great job. Hotel room was large and provided you with coffee, microwave and refrigerator. I would recommend it.

Absolutely love this hotel. It is beautifully designed and furnished, everyone I ran into was friendly and helpful, and the room is great. Very clean and comfy. The big window is great to see Muskegon from your room. Bed was nice, plenty of hot water and towels provided too.

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing views, excellent customer care and clean, quiet, spacious rooms. My room did not have a tub but it did have a really nice, large shower. My room also had a Keurig, so I was able to bring my own k-cups and enjoy coffee as if I were at home! I would definitely recommend this place. There is a restaurant within the hotel too, so if you're not the type to wander a new city, this is perfect.

Such a fabulous get-a-way. The pool has a perfect temperature. Hot tubs with view is terrific. Dinner near by was perfect. The sunset was a show we wouldnโ€™t want to miss. The staff was courteous and truly cared about your stay.
