I am a little late writing this review but I wanted to share how enjoyable our stay was May 31-June 6. The service and hospitality were out of this world. Everyone including reception and housekeeping were so friendly and quick to help with our requests. We very much enjoyed our suite. The location of this hotel is great. There are restaurants with lovely patios, a great coffee shop, and a fun place called Pins all within walking distance. We grabbed breakfast to go at a diner across the street. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for helping make our visit with family so fantastic. Cheryl & Lee

My husband and I went away to Columbus for the weekend. We splurged a bit on this hotel and it was worth every penny. It is located close to restaurants and attractions, they have specific parking for the hotel, reasonably priced. My advice: if you want to eat at The Keep, the hotel restaurant, make reservations well in advance!!

Absolutely incredible experience here, we got in late after a show next door and since room service was closed they brought the pizza we ordered to our door. The room was perfectly set up for our occasion and the staff were so friendly. The added star gazing was an amazing touch!

Stayed here for our first anniversary, the hotel is beautiful and smelled amazing. The staff was very polite and professional. We had dinner at the in house restaurant "The Keep" and it was delicious, also we ordered room service for breakfast and it was delicious as well. The room was large and clean, very beautiful upscale finishes. I had a great time and will definitely be back soon.

What a fun hotel. If you love Art Deco then this place is a dream. The rooms looked recently renovated and were well designed with the hotel theme. I loved the bathrooms and the little star projector beside the bed. The starbucks downstairs closes very early (all of downtown seems to close super early) but was a really cute and welcomed addition.

Beautiful looking boutique hotel. When we came in to check-in after calling to let the receptionist know, as well as updating the time on the Marriott app, we had to wait about 10min for the receptionist to come back. Security came in & told us he would call her to come back. He said she may have been dropping off something in a room, he wasn’t sure. Receptionist was sweet, patient & helpful on the phone. I think because there’s a skeleton staff at night, she had a lot to be responsible for, which delayed proper customer service.

There will always be negative reviews no matter where you are.. but I wanted to make sure that I left a genuine review on this hotel. We only stayed for one night, to split up our long 14 hour drive home.. but I would have stayed much longer if I could’ve. Everything was absolutely perfect and shining clean. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. Amenities were perfect. The pillows were phenomenally comfortable! And the shower was to die for! Everything was just like the pictures! I am not getting anything from the hotel by doing this review, I just want to let everyone know how incredible it was! I hope your stay was as great as ours. Thank you Hotel LeVeque and your staff!

I took my wife to this hotel for her birthday; it was supposed to be an elegant and fancy night of celebration. While the lobby was truly beautiful, the room was small and exceptionally average. Our “amenity” was a cheap constellation nightlight on the bedside table (“sleep under the stars with us” the front desk person had told us) whose light didn’t reach the ceiling. Our room overlooked an alley and a bus stop. I had booked the dinner and room package but when we went down to the restaurant found it was closed that night; seems like that could’ve been mentioned during check-in. Instead we went to the bar and waited twenty minutes for two undrinkable manhattans (because the harried bartender couldn’t make the seasonal drinks my wife ordered). When we asked the receptionist if there was somewhere we could go up and see the lights I was curtly told “This building doesn’t have an observation deck.” Oh well. Look, the hotel wasn’t awful. It wasn’t dirty or cold or stinky. If this was a Holiday Inn Express I would’ve happily given it five stars. But we paid close to 300$ for a bedroom we could’ve gotten absolutely anywhere. I am thoroughly disappointed.

Their suite is very spacious, and their bathrooms are lovely. However, cleanliness is an issue here. There was a blatant booger on one of the face towels, makeup on a second face towel, and hair on a third face towel. Also found hair and dust on the bed pillow (in attached photo), along with multiple strands of hair in the shower. And yes, I am 100% positive the hairs aren’t mine and were definitely there prior to my arrival. Additionally, one side of the bed is almost against the wall so a guest sleeping on that side cannot easily get in and out of bed. That side of the bed also does not have a night stand or any type of plugs. I also attempted to post a video I took, but am not able to….the lights above the bed are not screwed in well and the fixture moves.

I recently spent a weekend at Hotel Leveque with my family, opting for this boutique hotel over The Joseph after careful consideration. It was a delightful experience, enhanced by the hotel's subtly charming design and a cozy ambiance. Not too fancy, it struck the right balance of comfort and elegance. The staff, particularly at the front desk, were friendly and welcoming. I appreciate that they recognized my Platinum status. I had actually requested the suite upgrade, which they graciously provided. We were upgraded to a junior suite and also allowed a late checkout. The weather was freezing, around 10°F, so we spent a lot of time inside. The view from our room was a bit disappointing, mainly showing the walls of adjacent buildings. This unfortunately resulted in limited natural light entering the room, contributing to a somewhat claustrophobic feeling. However, I can’t really complain as they fulfilled my request for an upgrade, and I’m not entitled to a specific room type. In retrospect, a room with a better view, even if smaller, might have been more enjoyable. The standout feature of the room was definitely the bathroom. It was huge, spacious, and impeccably clean. The design and color scheme were particularly impressive, adding a touch of elegance to our stay. I was a bit surprised and disappointed to find Keurig machines in the room; I expected Nespresso machines, which are more common in upscale hotels nowadays. The valet service at the hotel was slightly expensive at $45 per night and appeared to be understaffed. At the time of checkout, which was on a Monday afternoon and wasn’t even busy, we waited for over 30 minutes to get our car. I wish there had been better communication about the delay, as it would have been helpful and appreciated. The service was excellent and the restaurant was great. Despite a few minor drawbacks, our overall stay at Hotel Leveque was quite enjoyable and definitely worth recommending.

The room was cute. They have a stargazing ceiling feature thingy (the name of it slips my mind atm) that you can project on to the ceiling. The hotel is really nice, they have a nice bar/restaurant area. It’s right next to the theater if you like to go to shows. It’s about a mile waking distance to the restaurant/bar district. Would recommend this place and stay there again.

Perfect stay for my wedding! Service was superb, from the new (but enthusiastic) bellhop to the front desk agent (shoutout Summer and the young man up front). Room was spacious and perfect and they treated us with multiple above and beyond surprises for our special weekend. Highly recommend and will definitely come back for our anniversary and beyond.

The hotel is expensive without working amenities. Over $700 for two nights and no working AC. A fan was brought as the AC was not able to be fixed and in good working condition. The windows do not open, as there is a pane of glass covering them. The pillows are terrible. There is no fitted sheet, only a mattress cover, a flat sheet over that, then another flat sheet under the comforter and a THIRD flat sheet over the comforter. The towels are too small to cover most adults. Dirty finger smudges on walls and doors that were left from prior guests. Stains on the towels, that were left from prior guests as well. The TV is locked down, personal devices cannot be connected. The hotel staff removed the TV remote, replaced with the cable box remote. The volume of the TV itself cannot be controlled if unplugged from the cable box. This leaves guests unable to watch their preferred TV shows, movies and other apps that are not accessible without a smart device. Walking to find restaurants is possible, however random strangers will accost you in the streets. Be weary if you are traveling alone and walking around this hotel. This is not luxurious by any means. Anyone would be better off at a Best Western. The front desk staff and engineering staff is wonderful, though it shouldn’t be mentioned how great engineering is as the room should be in full working order for each guest. Disappointing as this was the recommended hotel for a wedding party. All it is, is a pretty face.

Marriott knocks it out of the park! We LOVED our stay from the quiet room to the speakeasy theme bar. BIG THANKS to the staff who took the experience to another level, particularly Didi and Summer.

What a great experience in the heart of downtown Columbus. The staff was awesome and the room was beautiful. The valet guys Ahmed @ Jay went above and beyond taking care of my big truck. Thanks again for the great experience!

The staff was great and very helpful. We were up touring Columbus and they gave us lots of history about the building and the area. View of the river was nice and the location of the hotel is perfect for heading out in any direction to enjoy the day. Floor was a bit gross because of something I never rug and someone’s floss pick but other than that the hotel was great!

Not remotely worth the price (also a $42 daily parking fee). Cons: Hairs in shower, all surfaces super dusty in room, huge cockroaches in stairwell. They won’t give out more water bottles with huge price of your stay. Unable to locate any large trash cans in lobby to get food out of our room, and had to walk a block over outside. Mattresses need replacing (you roll to center worn spots). Has no firmness left on either mattress, and feel some springs. Window rattled loudly and we had to lean stuff against it to quiet it down. Music piped in everywhere is loud, so there’s not really any spot to work on laptop outside your room. Pros: Walkable, interior designer did a good job. Allowed late checkout. Check in is not until 4:00

Went there for an interview and not only was the chef late but he walked by me and didn't even speak. I was there for around 30 minutes. I had to pay for parking and expected to get it validated. When I asked about getting it validated, the front desk lady looked at me like I was crazy and refused to validate my parking! Everyone all around was very unprofessional. I was never told that I had to pay for parking and when interviewing they should validate it. Why should I have to pay $5 just to be there for 30 minutes for a interview. I would not recommend this place to anyone due to the staff treatment.

This place might be the best hotel I ever stayed in and I have been in a lot of hotels. The decor was super classy, the service was on point, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was a step above. Extra points for the following- 1) Loaning me a charger for free when I forgot mine. 2) Setting us up with rose pedals and a bottle fo champagne for our anniversary. 3) Delicious breakfast 4) Starbucks on site Superb. 5/5 would recommend.

We had an amazing 3 night stay here in August. This hotel provided a luxury experience in downtown Columbus. We paid for Valet and left our car in the garage for much of the time, choosing to Uber to the various neighborhoods. The hotel is centrally located, only 5 minutes to German Village and the Italian neighborhood, as well as the Short North. Our room was beautiful, clean, and luxurious feeling. I didn't want to leave! I loved the separate space for the toilet, allowing more than 1 person to occupy the space at the same time. There was enough space for all of our clothes in the closet as well. Front desk staff were courteous and friendly, greeting us each time we entered and exited the hotel. I absolutely recommend staying here when you are in town.

Adored this hotel! Stayed with a friend and it was the perfect location. Safe. Loved the service. The room was clean and cute. They were so so kind to me. I left early for my flight and it got delayed. They let me come back and stay until checkout time and get some more sleep. So grateful.

Amazing experience from the moment I walked in. Claire was exceptional, the manager at the front desk. And Elizabeth knows how to make a great adult beverage. I highly recommend this place to everyone

Wonderful staff and nice rooms with an actual desk, and decent WiFi. If you're not traveling for work the desk and WiFi might not matter much. I am actually from the Columbus area and I don't care for downtown, hence the 1 star for location. If I were visiting Columbus I'd much rather stay in the short north than downtown because downtown is mostly just empty office buildings and extremely wide roads.

Beautiful hotel. Valet parking available. Friendly staff. Room and bathroom is very spacious. Key card needed to enter elevator, which we love this feature.

Room (1 bedroom suite with river view) is beautiful. Stargazer is a nice touch (projects a night sky onto ceiling). Shower could hold about 9 people. Gym leaves a lot to be desired. No laundry on site. Check-in staff very pleasant.

City center hotel in historical building full of Autograph Collection flavor. Front desk was very invested in customer satisfaction. Interior design among the best in this line of hotels.

Hotel is at a good location. I liked the decor of the lobby. Website says it has a turn down service, we didn't recieve this. Also room was quite weathered, dented wall and well used furniture. The shower looks nice but water pressure is not good. The room lowest temperature is 67 and that was not low enough to keep our room cool throughout the night. Hotel was not busy yet we still managed to be given a room with a view of the dirty alley. Arrived at hotel a huge line up blocked the entrance as there is a theater next door, was a bit confusing at first. Coffee in room is keurig, but comes with powdered milk, kinda cheap. On a plus, nice valet guys, quick and greated us with a smile

Booked a weekend getaway for my parents as a Christmas gift. They adored their stay! Sadly we had to cancel their first night due to the inclement weather and they were so accommodating with the process of doing so. They also, any time I called remembered who I was and what this was for and they took the extra steps to ensure my parents stay was exceptional! My parents said the bed was so so comfortable. They have also since had the thought of upgrading their personal bed at home to king from a queen because of how much they enjoyed their sleep! Ten stars!

Absolutely wonderful Christmas Eve stay! This is a beautiful old building with classic architecture and luxurious fixtures. There is a Starbucks attached to it, as well as the Palace Theatre. The staff was courteous and helpful. The room was large, with interesting and sophisticated decor. They will bring robes to your room if you ask. This is part of their stargazer collection, and there was a star projector in the room. Great view of the river, City Hall and COSI, which all had holiday lighting. The bathroom was absolutely decadent, shower is perfect for two. The bed was cozy and comfortable.

We came here for our anniversary. The hotel was beautiful, but we encountered some inconveniences that guests paying $350 a night should not be experiencing. There was a strange burning sulphuric smell in our room at around 4:30 am. It lasted for about an hour. We thought it was maybe a sewer gas issue from the toilet, but it was actually coming from the forced air vent. Really strong and unpleasant. The mini fridge couldn’t keep food at temp so unfortunately we lost some leftovers because when we opened the box it smelled like the contents had spoiled. Additionally, there was no working vent in the toilet or the shower, so steam and smells remained with no way to clear them. These issues were mentioned to the staff and they were cordial, but it seemed like they couldn’t do much about any of it. Overall our stay was just… fine. I wouldn’t spend that much money on this hotel again.

Hotel LeVeque was the prefect location for our wedding weekend in March 2022. Staff was friendly and professional and made us feel special all throughout our time there. Rooms were clean and spacious and ordering room service from The Keep was an added bonus that helped make our stay more comfortable. Getting hair and makeup-up vendors up to our room day of was easy and the hotel quickly provided us with extra items we needed (chairs, food, towels). We loved that we were able to take our first look pictures all throughout the historic lobby too! From start to finish, our wedding weekend was made so much better thanks to the Hotel Leveque Team.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel.Staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast there. Everything was delicious. Tasted fresh and cooked to perfection! Top notch hotel. Amazing valets and doorman too.

Superb and unique Marriott hotel in historic building in city center location. We stayed 5 nights ( 5th night free using points) Great location near the river and river front trails. Service good ( not superb). The Keep restaurant on the mezzanine level is nice - we used it for breakfast. Food great and Service was superb ( Joe). I would recommend Valet parking.

Hotel LeVeque is a gorgeous, refined hotel in downtown Columbus. I stayed here for a night in February as a birthday surprise for a friend and the staff were welcoming and helpful in assisting us with our plans. Our room was spacious and beautiful and continued the constellation theme throughout. There is a very homey feel in the room as you don’t really hear any of the goings on throughout the rest of the hotel. We were able to grab drinks at the keep and the in house restaurant only enhanced our experience. Like I mentioned, it was a Saturday night in February and I expected there to be valet but there were only piles of snow in any convenient drop-off location in front of the doors. There’s a parking garage for the hotel but I wouldn’t classify it as super convenient. This would be my only gripe. Otherwise it was a great experience!

Customer service was excellent! Other than that, value for money was awful, if you travel and are used to 5 star hotels in bigger cities this will disappoint. With this supposedly being the nicest hotel in Columbus, for 809$ a night I’ve stayed in extravagant hotels and suites. This was 0/10 value for money, 5/10 cleanliness, dust still on everything 10/10 customer service from the butler and valet

yes this place was beautiful, spacious, luxurious but as a Latina woman I just felt this racist vibe from staff. They have such a beautiful lobby and space yet they don’t even allow you to take photos and the staff aren’t even helpful half the time and just give dirty looks and point at you and don’t have any manor's… so much for luxury. I really stared to notice the racism when a white couple got all the assurance and help they needed where as me and my husband could barely get their attention. It’s honestly just a luxurious building filled with white/white washed racists.

Wonderful stay hotel is immaculate our room was beautiful with a great view of the river incredible size shower the staff was friendly and helpful the valet team is just superb. This was our second time staying at the LeVeque and just like the first time our stay was perfect. When travelling to Columbus look no further than the LeVeque you won’t be disappointed!

Hotel Leveque is such a beautiful upscale hotel! The rotating brass polished entry door to the tiled floors and entry way give you a hint as to the type of establishment you are in. The staff were professional, friendly and helpful at check-in. They provided restaurant choices in walking distance as well as provided additional bottles of water. The hotel is nicely decorated sort of an art deco/old Hollywood style and the rooms are posh, comfortable and very clean. Rooms have a walk-in shower and the toilet has its own room. If you want luxury stay here!!!!

We loved our stay at LeVeque for our anniversary! From the moment we arrived, it felt so special! The atmosphere is so sophisticated and welcoming. Eduardo, at the front desk, made us feel so celebrated. He told us all about the hotel and the surrounding areas. When we came back, he asked us about our evening and we came back to champagne and roses in our room! It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture! The room was was clean, quiet and beautiful! It really is *stunning* and we had such a peaceful sleep. We will absolutely be back!

This was by far the best hotel experience I have ever had. Clair at the front desk was an absolute pleasure to check in with. She was very informative and made us feel welcome. The personal touch by Claire and the rest of the staff really set this stay apart from all others.

Really nice hotel and property in downtown Columbus. Only stayed one night but the service and amenities were great! The bar area had an awesome vibe and breakfast was soooo good!

  • 5/5 Chris D. 1 year ago on Google
Very nice hotel with great looking rooms and friendly staff. Only minor negatives I noticed was the closet rod was lowered too far, the water pressure was weak and the elevators were a little confusing since there were 3 different sets.

  • 5/5 Tom M. 1 year ago on Google
It's a high end hotel. The service was awesome. Such a friendly staff. Room was huge and comfy. The shower.... oh the shower. It was massive, but the shower head wasn't big enough for the size of the shower and you couldn't use the hand held and the shower head at the same time. It was cool but so much they could have done to make it amazing.

Great hotel. I stayed in August 2022. Late to my review, but wanted to make sure I gave Alea Roper a shout out. She was great and went above and beyond the job she has. This hotel is lovely, the restaurant had great food and it was very close to a really cool trail that ran along the river. Highly recommend.

We were blown away by the service we received at this hotel. The front desk employee that checked us in asked the reason for our trip, we mentioned it was our anniversary and coordinated a surprise to be left in our room. Additionally, she remembered what we were going to do each day of our stay, asked us how we liked visiting the Columbus Zoo and the Wilds when she saw us again. I honestly almost want to go back just to stay at this hotel again. If I could give 6 or even 10 stars, I would.

Beautiful lobby, modern bar and exquisite restaurant. Our room was cozy and clean with an upscale feel. Great view from our window. I woke up early, decided to go for a walk and get fresh air. While walking beside the hotel, an employee came outside and started to sweep the sidewalk at 5 am. He stumbled down some steps and behaved erratically so this was puzzling but overall pleasant stay.

Beautiful place and every staff member- from the front desk to housekeeping- was extremely professional and helpful. They even assisted with printing tickets for a show when we realized mobile tickets weren't enough. Cleanest hotel we've ever stayed in. Simple extras in the room made it wonderful. They have a projector in every room that provides a beautiful starry night sky on the ceiling! Shower is huge, beds were luxurious, and the decor is upscale. Definitely an amazing value for this type of hotel and its right beside the Palace theater and close to many restaraunts. We will definitely stay again!
