Wouldn’t even refer my worst enemy to this group. At first I thought they were terrific until I started to have SEVERE side effects to my heart medication. Their response was “well, you can’t stop taking it yet”, and sent me home. This went on for 4 months, during which my quality of life was horrific. I would call the office and most of the time I would never get a return call. Even calling for an appointment you have to leave a message and again, you’re lucky if they get back to you in 5 days. I left a message three weeks ago requesting to speak to the office manager. She still hasn’t called. She did have two people call to tell me my test results. They both said different things while referring to the same tests. Hmmmm!? Well that certainly instilled confidence. I then contacted my cardiac surgeon who promptly changed my medication because of the “rare side effect” I was having. Unfortunately I did have to go to the hospital ER where my test results showed an infection. They put me on antibiotics and the surgeon changed my cardiac meds again. So far so good it’s been two weeks. I’ve called grand strand primary care for the hospital follow up and have not received a call back to arrange an appointment. And in case your wondering, yes I am calling them during office hours. Anyway, good luck. I’ve never been made to feel so insignificant in my entire life and I’m a new resident to Myrtle beach so I don’t know where else to go, but I’m looking.

They cause more problems than solutions. The “Office Management” has ZERO patient care. Zero leadership and Zero respect! After 4 years I’m left no choice but to find another P.C than will actually help and not hurt the patient! I have waited 3 weeks for JESSICA to call me after I have left NUMEROUS messages for her, with front desk AND her personal voicemail! Check my file OR ask Shanta at front desk!

I was referred to this office after doing outpatient therapy at South Strand. At fist, being a patient gave me a lot of hope that I’d have investment in my care. Dr. Khan and Dr. Han were excellent and wanted to continue my care as best as they could until my insurance allowed me to see a mental health provider. I don’t remember the name of the next doctor I saw at a follow up, but he then prescribed me a medication that I was very unstable on. He dismissed all my needs and basically told me to go to a free clinic, where the other providers here truly wanted to keep me stable while I was there. Being prescribed a medication I was unwell on and telling me to just leave is one of the most irresponsible and un-compassionate experiences I’ve ever had with a doctor. You will get good care with a few here, but the inconsistency is truly dangerous. Even at my first appointment, I sat there panicking while a doctor told me that going to church would cure me, so I made him leave with the help of a nurse. Only request Khan if you need a male provider and are a woman because you will be dismissed otherwise. Dr Han is incredible and so were the other women staff members. I’m grateful to have found another family practice to help me while I’m waiting on my insurance. I will never go back to this place for genuine fear for myself. Please read the other reviews about how they don’t care about mental health. This place does not deserve a good star rating. Please don’t go here for anything regarding mental health needs for the sake of your safety and sanity.

Horrible place. I would never refer anyone to this place again due to lack of care and concern for patients. I came to this office about three years ago and was satisfied until my doctor relocated. Since then I have received minimum care from this place. I also referred a coworker and they too has experienced poor service. I felt bad for referring that person but we both quickly realized that Grandstand Primary is not willing to provide the service that we deserve so we will take our health concerns and business elsewhere.

The Health Care Workers here were great. Greeted in a friendly manner, wait was not long. Every interaction I had with each person made me feel comfortable. Dr Khan took his time to listen and ask my opinion. So happy I chose Grand Strand Primary care.

Good docs once you have an appointment. However, no one ever answers the phone at the primary care office and no one returns calls on requests for appointments. None of the links to leave feedback on the website work and the online scheduling system doesn't work either. Office seems dysfunctional

Thought I had an appointment with a Doctor, didn’t realize until after I walked out that I was seen by a resident from some medical school in the islands. Sweet young girl, but not very knowledgeable, which was very obvious. She looked everything up on her laptop. After 15 minutes of speaking with her I walked out of the appointment. Beware of this office. Know who you are going to see and look them up before you get there. Or better yet, don’t even go there. Suffering with a back injury, wasted 2 weeks waiting on this appointment, now I’ll spend more time suffering waiting to see someone else

They might as well just put this on their placard "Interns Are paying to Train Here, on You" Interns don't have any Life-Advice. They're not elders, so they might diagnose but have no advice on what to do next for the next 1-2 weeks before next checkup- they just want to prescribe an antibiotic and call it a day. Don't take this place too seriously. You could die prematurely. This is a warning. You could die prematurely. These Interns studied in the Islands under some cheaper med school and are paying Dr. Banks for the Opportunity to experiment on you. Of course, Dr. Banks is being paid well for all this. But I'm sure some people are dying prematurely because they're not taking patients' concerns seriously.

My Pharmacy sent a request for a blood pressure med refill 5 days ago which was was depleted. After 5 days and repeated requests from the pharmacy to the doctor we got a message from the pharmacy stating the refill was rejected by the doctor due to an appointment being needed. After four attempts in calling and texting the office over two days, someone finally picked up. I explained the medication depletion situation to the reception individual who was very terse with me and then abruptly hung up. This practice was never this way in the past and it now appears to have declined in patient relationships based on the other recent comments I’ve read.

Loved my Doctor at this practice and was sad when I was told he would be leaving the practice this month. Tried calling the office to make sure that I would be able to get refills for my medications from a different doctor in the practice and was told that I could "google Dr. Frost". The office staff here is beyond incompetent. Forget about getting help when you are truly sick.

I have been a patient for several years. I find the staff very nice and competent when I am there. What’s disappointing is that there is no way to speak to someone live when calling, and, nobody returns calls. Additionally, when trying to leave a message for a physician on Healow, the application lists every physician I ever interfaced with. Given that residents rotate through frequently, it’s impossible to discern which physician I need to leave a message for. It would be great if the office manager, or the managing physician for this practice, could address these very basic customer service issues. Just because the practice serves an older population, we should not be treated like drooling idiots.

First, I'll say I normally see Dr. Banks & like going to him! I'm really ill with bronchitis or something & went to see Dr. TING HAN on friday Jan 6th at 2pm. She said she was ordering an xray & wanted to start me on antibiotics right away. She was having a nurse call in the prescriptions. Today is Monday the 9th & I still have no prescription called in. I've called numerous times, left messages & still have no prescription. I've never seen a nursing staff & receptionist so terribly unprofessional & with an "I don't care, not my job attitude"! If your sick, go to a walk in! Edit: Dr. Ting Han called me on Tuesday (when she came back to work) & was very apologetic about what happened. She was under the impression that the nurse did call in the prescriptions. I even was called about xray.

They are never on time. I always have to wait at least 45 minutes. So unprofessional. Today my appt. Was 3:30 right now is 4:15 and I still waiting. Terrible.

I'm a new patient to this practice having moved from out of state. They were easy to get an appt with, assign a Dr, and provide followup care as well as prioritizing my needs. So glad I picked them. Dr C Frank has done a marvelous job!

I wasn’t very impressed with the physician I saw. My BP is elevated and I was trying to get another med added to my list. He said if I started back on my CPAP they should fix the problem. I didn’t agree. He was focused on other things such as mammograms colonoscopy etc. The next night I got on telehealth on Amwell and spoke with a physician that had 47 years of experience and he agreed that I needed to be on an additional medication. So he sent me in a prescription. Not sure about going back to Grand Strand primary care.

Myself (mewaynego) and wife are very happy with Dr. Banks and his staff. Everyone is very cordial, helpful, and we feel welcome. Dr. Banks has a great manner, good sense of humor, and is very thorough, spends appropriate time with us, and seems to have strong concern for any issues and how to help us manage them. Very pleased!

I am really impressed after my first experience with Grand Strand Primary Care. In addition to making me feel confident that I was being treated as they would treat family, everyone with whom I had contact seemed to genuinely enjoy their work. I was given all the time I needed to ask questions. I am actually looking forward to my next visit!

👍👍 This location has one of the kindest staffs I have ever encountered anywhere. 😠 My daughter was a walk-in for a work physical. She expected to have to wait awhile, but not 4 hours! Then the visit with the doctor lasted 5 minutes!
