When
we
entered
the
room,
we
encountered
a
disgusting
smell
that
triggered
a
gag
reflex.
It
was
only
tolerable
after
more
than
24
hours
of
ventilation
(it
was
cold
then
miserable).
The
beds
were
poor
pre-war
standards
and
the
rest
of
the
furnishings
didn't
fit
in
with
our
century.
In
the
neighboring
room,
the
WiFi
was
not
activated
at
all
and
in
our
room
so
slowly
that
you
flew
out
every
few
minutes.
TV
reception
via
JOYN
was
out
of
the
question,
but
it
would
have
been
urgently
necessary
because
the
reception
via
the
TV
in
the
room
only
showed
a
pile
of
pixels
but
no
picture.
The
staff
was
unable
to
fix
this
error.
So
we
had
to
do
without
it,
for
better
or
for
worse.
In
the
last
50
years
of
my
life,
I
have
not
had
such
a
bad
hotel
experience.
You
will
definitely
never
see
me
there
again.
Yes,
the
owner
offered
to
cancel
the
room.
Only
there
was
no
other
room
available
in
all
of
Nordlingen.
So
we
couldn't
stay
in
any
other
hotel.
That
was
also
addressed
to
him.
The
fact
that
the
owner
now
wants
to
boast
with
his
bogus
offer
speaks
for
itself.
And
yes,
he
promised
to
waive
€
10
a
night
for
the
broken
TV.
When
paying,
however,
it
was
only
€
10
for
the
entire
duration
of
the
stay.
There
was
no
compensation
for
the
really
unbearable
smell.
And
the
beds
may
have
been
bought
relatively
new,
but
certainly
not
the
mattresses.
You
can't
buy
something
like
that
anymore.
The
pain
caused
by
it
speaks
for
itself.
I
always
give
fair
reviews,
but
if
something
was
really
bad,
then
I
comment
accordingly.
My
wife
didn't
write
the
same
review,
as
the
owner
claims,
but
what
she
particularly
noticed.
And
that
she
missed
a
sign
suggests
that
it
was
not
placed
in
a
particularly
conspicuous
way.
Breakfast
was
in
my
opinion
lower
standard.
I
didn't
find
it
as
bad
as
my
wife.
I
have
been
to
hotels
a
lot
in
my
life.
Therefore
I
can
allow
myself
an
objective
judgment.
And
it
was
the
worst
place
to
stay
in
several
decades.
The
owner's
desperate
attempts
to
put
this
situation
into
perspective
does
not
change
the
fact
that
we
suffered
greatly
from
the
stay.
And
if
it
had
been
possible
to
get
another
one
in
the
area,
we
would
of
course
have
canceled
immediately.
It's
a
shame
that
the
owner
doesn't
stand
by
it.
I
don't
doubt
that
he
can
offer
better
rooms
and
better
service,
but
our
stay
had
the
shortcomings
mentioned,
which
were
only
compensated
for
to
a
very
small
extent.
He
can't
talk
nice
about
that.
(Original)
Beim
Betreten
des
Zimmers
kam
uns
ein
ekelhafter
Gestank
entgegen,
der
gleich
einen
Würgereiz
auslöste.
Erst
nach
mehr
als
24
Stunden
lüften
(kalt
war's
dann
halt
jämmerlich)
war
es
erträglich.
Die
Betten
waren
schlechter
Vorkriegs-Standard
und
auch
der
Rest
der
Einrichtung
passte
nicht
in
unser
Jahrhundert.
Im
Nachbarzimmer
war
das
WLAN
überhaupt
nicht
aktivierbar
und
in
unserem
Zimmer
so
langsam,
dass
man
alle
paar
Minuten
rausflog.
An
TV-Empfang
über
JOYN
war
nicht
zu
denken,
der
jedoch
dringend
notwendig
gewesen
wäre,
weil
der
Empfang
über
den
TV
im
Zimmer
lediglich
einen
Pixelhaufen
aber
kein
Bild
zeigte.
Das
Personal
war
nicht
in
der
Lage,
diesen
Fehler
zu
beheben.
Also
mussten
wir
wohl
oder
übel
verzichten.
In
den
letzten
50
Jahren
meines
Lebens
habe
ich
kein
derart
übles
Hotel-Erlebnis
gehabt.
Dort
sieht
man
mich
ganz
sicher
nie
wieder.
Ja,
der
Besitzer
hat
uns
angeboten,
das
Zimmer
zu
stornieren.
Nur
war
in
ganz
Nördlingen
kein
anderes
Zimmer
verfügbar.
So
konnten
wir
in
keinem
anderen
Hotel
unterkommen.
Das
wurde
ihm
gegenüber
auch
angesprochen.
Dass
der
Besitzer
sich
nun
mit
seinem
Schein-Angebot
brüsten
will,
spricht
für
sich.
Und
ja,
er
hat
uns
versprochen,
pro
Nacht
10
€
für
den
nicht
funktionierenden
Fernseher
zu
erlassen.
Beim
Bezahlen
waren
es
dann
aber
nur
10
€
für
die
gesamte
Dauer
des
Aufenthaltes.
Für
den
wirklich
unerträglichen
Geruch
gab
es
keine
Entschädigung.
Und
die
Betten
mögen
relativ
neu
angeschafft
worden
sein,
aber
die
Matratzen
ganz
sicher
nicht.
Sowas
kann
man
heute
nicht
mehr
kaufen.
Die
Schmerzen,
die
uns
dadurch
verursacht
wurden,
sprechen
für
sich.
Ich
gebe
stets
faire
Bewertungen,
aber
wenn
was
wirklich
schlecht
war,
dann
äußere
ich
mich
dazu
auch
entsprechend.
Meine
Frau
hat
nicht
–
wie
der
Besitzer
behauptet
–
die
gleiche
Bewertung
geschrieben,
sondern
das,
was
ihr
besonders
aufgefallen
ist.
Und
dass
sie
ein
Schild
übersehen
hat,
spricht
ja
dafür,
dass
dieses
nicht
sonderlich
auffällig
platziert
wurde.
Das
Frühstück
war
nach
meinem
Empfinden
unterer
Standard.
Ich
empfand
es
nicht
so
schlimm
wie
meine
Frau.
In
meinem
Leben
bin
ich
viel
in
Hotels
unterwegs
gewesen.
Daher
kann
ich
mir
ein
objektives
Urteil
erlauben.
Und
es
war
nun
mal
die
schlechteste
Unterkunft
seit
einigen
Jahrzehnten.
Die
verzweifelten
Versuche
des
Besitzers,
diese
Situation
zu
relativieren
ändert
nichts
an
der
Tatsache,
dass
wir
unter
dem
Aufenthalt
sehr
gelitten
haben.
Und
wäre
es
möglich
gewesen,
im
Umkreis
eine
andere
zu
erhalten,
dann
hätten
wir
selbstverständlich
sofort
storniert.
Schade,
dass
der
Besitzer
nicht
dazu
steht.
Ich
bezweifle
nicht
dringend,
dass
er
auch
bessere
Zimmer
und
besseren
Service
anbieten
kann,
doch
unser
Aufenthalt
hatte
nun
mal
die
genannten
Mängel,
die
nur
zu
einem
sehr
geringen
Teil
ausgeglichen
wurden.
Da
kann
er
nix
schönreden.
