I haven’t been inside, but I ate my lunch on their stairs in the afternoon sun. Best stairs in town.

I went there to see an exhibit about the Chinese Dream and was expecting balanced views from both sides. I like the video clips of the documentary. However, the photos there are just coming from stereotypes, which might be another form of racism. The exhibition ends with a set up of white balloons, which is for funerals in China and for good luck in Japan. This is such a waste of a theme with great potential.

Nice Sinterklaas experience ... although it was small, but it gives a glimpse of the Sinterklaas world. When my 2yo en I are there all alone, we got a surprise from Sinterklaas who was about to take a nap. 😂 Believe it or not 😆

Went to this museum in the old mayor of hilversum office. The building could be 300 years old and is now completely rehabilitated. They were hosting an exhibition called "china dreams" by 3 photographers who traveled around china photographing mostly common men scenes. It was nice. Beside this exhibition there was not much to see about Hilversum, so that was a bit of a disappointment.

No free icom, bad photography exhibit you can visit for free at filmtheater hilversum, just very white in general and not interactive or educational at all, unfortunate the personell there is very old white and sour and no info about the history of the very interesting building at all, especially on monumentendag! Very disappointing in general, the shop only has photography books that are overpriced and not interesting, i really hope this museum will improve and show actual art in the future...

Not worth it. We brought our kids looking to see some Dutch art or culture while visiting Hilversum from the USA. This exhibit “Icons” was pictures of mostly American pop stars which you could look at via google. Not worth the price or visit. Only redeeming quality was a cool photo opt wall.

Staff was pretty amazing. That guy and girl at the National Geographic cafe counter were very polite, friendly and courteous. She even struck a pleasant conversation with me about Dutch music. I also met a few elderly ladies who were very happy to know that I am an Indian. Arrangements are very neat and museum is very well maintained. It's so much peaceful inside the museum. Snacks were tasty and not very expensive.
