As soon as i layed down in my bed a cockroach crawled over my body. Vomited and ran down to the reception asking for a refund. I didnt get my refund so i would nok recommend.

For me, Dutch Hotels are generally underwhelming. Not so with this wonderful hotel. So comfortable, spacious, and scrupulously clean. Great staff, who are attentive, and willing to help with any issues. The restaurant is without doubt, the jewel in this hotels crown. 5 star dishes at realistic prices.

Great location, close to Motorway.. but very remote location away from centre. Great quality meals, nice atmosphere in the 2 bar areas. Gym adequate overlooks swming pool which is surprisingly quiet.

I forgot expensive sunglasses in hotel. They found it but refused to send it by mail to Germany although I offered to pay a nice fee for this service. Zero points for service!

I don't have too much to say about the roons, as I'm not a demanding person. Thebsake goes for the location - close to A6, in a beautiful building is enough for the me to rate it 5. What HAS the importance to me is the service, and 5 is not enough here. Kind, helpful and warm staff took my heart. You will feel not. Only served there, but also welcomed as a person. Thank you night shift 22/23.10.23!!

Good hotel with a good restaurant. Shame restaurant menu never seems to change after several years. Some areas have been refurbished but the colour scheme is very depressing. Great pity. Lost a lot of character and feel of quality.

Excellent hotel with a perfect location near motorway. Breakfast was amazing. Very high standards throughout. But with a hotel a this standard you would expect them to get the little things right. In our room, the otherwise very fancy bathroom, was missibg a little dish or something to put the provided complementary bar if soap. And there were not tissues available. Thats why i took a star off the rating.

We had a meeting there for the Salvation army. The entire complex feels luxurious/expensive. Condiments were excellent although I didn't appreciate the waiter on the other side of a glass wall charging us for drinks that were included on the other side but apparently not when you're smoking a cig on the terrace. We were served both inside and out but it wasn't apparent that we would be charged separately for drinks on the terrace and I'm not one to send back drinks we ordered but I would've liked to have known beforehand since not everyone had money with them. Everything else was fine and the place does have a grand look and feel. *Edit: I forgot to rate the rooms so I did now. And I adjusted my service score up 1 star to 4 because of the same day response to me posting this review. Kudos for that and appreciated.

Been to this hotel on business 3 times now. Also extremely friendly staff. Room was always clean. Food from the hotel restaurant was good.

Odd to not include breakfast in a rather pricy hotell. Not safe to eat in their restaurant when your allergic. Otherwise, a nice place.

This is a straight forward Business oriented hotel. They are in no way setup for tourists. Location is easily described as an urban desert with absolutely zero choices within walking distance of the hotel. We made as serious error booking in here. The service from reception was very poor. Our reasonable requests were simply ignored 3 times.... Good restaurant and good food.

Interesting we were trying to explain the style of the rooms, mid 90s purple curtains grey textured wall paper. Fantastic size though but a bit bleak. Bed two singles pushed together with two single duvets one with hole in duvet cover. Coffee machine water container cannot be emptied and had funky water in it. Kettle can be used with complimentary tbags, this hotels entrance is lovely. The rooms are passable but a tad jaded. Hotel is situated a good 40 mins outside of Amsterdam. Will cost you 65 euros approx to get in via uber or get uber to local town where there is a train station. Food was good their beefburgers tasted lovely. Atmosphere is business not so much families.

I travel extensively for work and stayed in many hotels, but this one takes the cake. Room was gorgeous and so so spacious. Outdoor terraxe was fantastic. This hotel also has proper high end quality restaurant. Food was second to none! I mean it, i am usually underwhelmed by hotel restaurants, but their restaurant would top most of the restaurants in Amsterdam. Luckily, i know i will be returning every time i am in Almere! Wonderful staff members too.

Excellent place to stay when visiting this area. Staff and facility meet high standards and you really don't have to leave this location for several days unless desired. Food and beverage, meals, entertainment and a bar located within the facility make for many in-house options. The restaurant has many delightful choices with light snacks available for early afternoon and in between meals. I plane to keep this location favorited for future visits.

No nearby bus station and taxi fair 18 euro to the centrum one way , best to travel by car if planning yo stay here, awesome breakfast great variety to choose from.

Went for a lunch. Food itself was fine, service wasn't. Reserved a table. Sat there for 14 minutes, nobody came to take an order or to clean the table, when I made a comment to a passing waitress I received a crude remark. Said waitress served us with a big frown for the rest of the lunch. Awkward.

We came in for lunch, but nobody was at the desk to welcome or seat us. After waiting around someone finally came back from the back to tell us we could just take any table. Right after that all the staff disappeared again, but when they finally did reappear they only came up to our table to tell us we couldn’t sit there cause the table was reserved 3 hours (!) later for dinner. They said they only set the table once. Seriously, that’s the reason you can’t accommodate current guests that are willing to pay for a meal that won’t hinder your later booking? The worst thing is that after the lady told me to move, they didn’t even have the courtesy to at least ask us for drinks or hand us a menu. I had to walk up to them to ask, to which they gave me attitude. We decided to go somewhere else for our lunch, even though we were starving. This is how appalled we were by the rudeness of the staff. We always had very pleasant experiences with Van def Valk hotels, but this was an absolute last for the Almere branch. Please replace your rude staff, or at least teach them what hospitality is.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was large and comfortable. Our only problem was lack of staff. Those that we met were friendly and efficient. But we had to wait to get into the restaurant and at reception. Just not enough staff for the number of guests.

Great food, good health facilities, clean and quiet. They have a friendly staff that speaks English beautifully. We will stay there again if we are in the region. Lots of space for parking. Only downside is that they are a ten minute taxi ride from the train.

We just went here again for a late lunch. Food is great but not worth 5 stars. Staff is always friendly. Outside there is enough room to sit in the sun. Extremely well maintained hotel since quite new. We have no experience with the rooms since we live in Almere.
