This place is an iconic pub in Hilversum. The pirate theme of the place sets it apart for all the other pubs. You can have many different drinks but this is the place in the city where you can get a nice Guinness. You can also often find live music. Highly recommended!

Dark and noisy. I went on a busy night with live music and the poor ventilation made the air hard to breathe. Would rather go some place else where I'm actually able to have a conversation without shouting.

Great bar/pub to grab a couple drinks and play some pool. With the bar having live performances every so often and a very alternative and diverse pool of customers coming in. Cozy bar and overall chill especially if you are a bit more young.

The Skiff is always good fun. Over the last 10 years I have hung out there a lot with friends and also made a lot of new friends. It's also a 3 minutes walk from the train station. And at the station there are always a lot of taxi's for your convenience to drive you home or to your hotel so super convenient and of course the recently revamped bus stop if you like taking the scenic route. All in all good fun nice drinks great atmosphere

Love this place. A go-to for a very large and interesting variety of people. Stunning staff and good service.

A classical 'brown' cafe, with a punk-ish vibe. Nice selection of drinks, though it is not the broadest in any category. Its appeal is mainly in its cozy feel and alternative styling. The barkeeper when we were there was a lovely lady who wasn't shy of taking requests on music and having a chat. The bar also houses a pool table for entertainment, which has a unique clear bottom. The titular skiff is represented in the wooden decor above the bar which, on one side, is carved to look like an upside down rowboat with a mermaid on its prow. A lovely experience and definitely worth some patronage. If it were my home town, t his would be my go to.

I ordered online from their shop. They were extremely kind and the communication was great. I will definitely order again from them.

Great place for a few drinks

This place formerly a bar is currently a bottle shop. As a bottle shop it has a great selection of uncommon beer wine and liquor. This is exactly my kind of place. The girl working had great product knowledge and was very helpful. I will be frequenting this place for sure as long as it's a bottle shop and probably check it out as a bar as well.
