Very small island, but the staff make it feel larger, from glass bottom boat to reef diving, food was as per budget, but big attraction was free bar from 0915 to 1600 beers, wine, soft drinkd

Amazing little island been lucky enough to be there with only 7 other people so felt like a private resort. The beach all around is not the nicest because of all the broken corals so footwear is recommended. Nice little pool right in the middle but unfortunately no stairs to get out if you have some immobility issue. Food was average but the complimentary bar till 5pm was a big plus. Dorm rooms are only with fans although there are air-conditioning units installed not sure why they are not using it.bwas raining during my stay so fans did the job but can imagine in a hot day must be a torture.

I went on a full day trip. Clear sea and sky. Delicious lunch. l enjoyed snorkeling. There are many small fish. Here is a small island, so I think a day is enough.

A great short trip from the port. Although it is very scenic and we had a lovely lunch, it is very small. I would recommend spending a extra time and money and exploring further to other islands. Lovely if you don’t have much time though.

Reasonably short boat ride out. Plenty to see and do depending on what cruise package you are on. Beech feet are a must if you plan on getting wet - otherwise you will get sore feet on the rocks! Plenty of food at the barbeque lunch. Hot - find a breezy spot to stay cool when you are out of the water.

I have to say, this was our least favourite of the 6 resorts we stayed at on our 2-week Awesome Pass. (The way the pass works is that you don't have control over your own itinerary - they put you wherever there are vacancies). It would have been absolutely fine if we'd been there for 1 night at the start of the trip, leaving on the 9 am northbound boat, but they put us there for 2 nights at the end of the trip, when we'd already got used to the more remote places further north, which are much nicer and much more our cup of tea. Luckily, we were able to get an earlier boat out than planned on our last day so we weren't stuck there until the last boat out in the evening, which was our original schedule. The place does has its upsides. The location's beautiful, and it was lovely there in the evenings and early mornings, when there were just a few house guests around rather than hundreds of day trippers. There was some good snorkelling right off the beach, although also a lot more plastic and other litter on the beach and in the water than we saw anywhere else in Fiji. The staff were lovely (especially Mary) and did a great job with communal dining tables and activities that got all the house guests talking to each other - very social vibe! We were older than all the other house guests by 20-30 years, which was not ideal (and we did not really appreciate being made to do the Macarena at our age, lol), but they were all really nice and chatty people. We agreed we would have liked this place a lot more when we were younger, given that there's complimentary beer and plentiful food that's cheaper than anywhere else in these islands (although the food was really not great quality at all, compared to the other resorts). The first full day there was OK because we could go back to our room to get away from the crowds, but on the second morning we had to check out of our room super early and then hang out on the crowded beach for several hours waiting for our boat. It's just endless loud tannoy announcements about activities and boat departures, loud music on a tinny speaker that glitches out every time the wifi goes down (which is about once a minute during the day, when all the house guests, day trippers, and the music system are using the same network), and way too many people for the small space. We ended up feeling relieved to leave, and happy that we had somewhere quieter and more luxurious booked for our final 3 nights in Fiji, rather than having that crowded and noisy beach be our last impression of this great country! The bure accommodation was basic but OK. It would have been nice to have a safe as it didn't feel super secure (someone could easily have got into the bedroom through the bathroom area) and there were so many people around during the day - we got our valuables locked up in the office instead. There was also a bedside LED light that flashed all night the first night - they seemed to have fixed it the second night, but then it started flashing again around 3 am and we couldn't figure out how to get it to stop. So we didn't sleep very well.

We had a day trip booked to South Sea Island, the place itself looked beautiful as we arrived.. We found the staff very stand offish which being in Fiji we had never experienced! The pool was perfect for our 9 year old as the beach is all crushed coral in big pieces and hard to stand on and very difficult for kids to play on the beach at all. The glass bottom boat we booked for was apparently “getting its annual check” but never told when booking. The lunch at 11:30am was nice but that is the only food you receive and you can only buy chips so bring your own food. Overall very underwhelming

My boyfriend and I did the half-day tour to South Sea Island and really enjoyed it. Lunch was included and offered a great variety, chicken, sausages, slaw, potato salad, and garlic bread, so there was something for everyone. There is also a complimentary drinks bar and a traditional cultural performance during lunch, which was a real highlight of our Fiji trip. There are plenty of activities available, including a pool, snorkeling, scuba diving, and more. Unfortunately, the sea was too rough on the day we visited, so the tender could not take us out to the snorkel spot. Instead, we snorkeled from the beach, which was still a good experience. The facilities on the island were great, clean bathrooms, showers and access to filtered water. Overall, I would say this trip is best suited for families. The half-day option was perfect for us, as we might have found a full day a bit too long.

My favorite part of our Fiji trip! I absolutely loved it here. It's small and intimate, and the hospitality is remarkable. The buffet lunch was delicious, and the entertainment (dancers) were fantastic. And David, the snorkeling instructor was a true hero as he was able to save me from my own hubris and swim back to the shore with me. When I think of Fiji, I will think of South Sea Island. And highly recommend the semi-submarine!

South Sea Island is an amazing place. It's only 30 minutes by South Sea Cruise. From the start till the end, the staff has been amazing. I was really impressed, after the boat transfer, the captain of boat transfer gave a safety briefing. 👍 to Taki & Happy birthday to you. On the island, food was ready for lunch when we arrived. Options provided was, chow mein, salads, Malaysian curry with rice, fruits. Enough to get it going. Many activities are organised on the island such as, kayaking, snorkeling, cultural singing & dancing, dance lessons, submarine trip or spend your day lazing around swimming pool. I had fun, and thanks for the memory ..

Lovely boat ride out to the island. Nice lunch. Refreshments on hand. Snorkeling or underwater boat or scuba or simply lie in the shallows of the warm tropical waters. Fab.

If non stop thumping music is your thing , this is the place for you. The island is too small to escape it. Pretty basic facilities. Nice fish right off the beach.
