Cheap hotel but location is not so good, little bit far from station and internet speed really slow.

First of all, my experience here is marred by the fact that we accidentally booked a smoking room instead of non-smoking. However, that is a mistake we made, so it does not reflect on my rating of the hotel. The hotel location is a brisk walk to the nearest station at Gondo, in a straight line. Easy to find, with a 7-Eleven the next building over, and Udon Hanamaru a two minute walk away. Reception was friendly - there seems to be only one person who can speak English. The lobby had some things you could buy at a low price, as well as provided many necessary amenities such as hairbrush, hair tie, razor, coffee, tea, creamer. There was a sign asking to please only take one set per person. There is a hot water dispenser here. The lobby also had a vending machine indoors with beer, no ID required. Only one key is given per group (we booked as a group of three). The room itself was quite spacious, with an area for one-person futon, and two beds. There is a private fridge and bathroom with each room, as well as a hair dryer, air conditioning and TV. The bathroom was small, as expected, but clean and usable. The hotel also provides a yukata (Japanese bathrobe) for each occupant, free of charge. There was a air refresher spray which helped with the smoky smell. They also provided cups and kettles, but the kettle did not have a dispenser, so we were unsure how to pour out the boiling water, and just ended up using the hot water downstairs. There were not many plugs per room. Staff come in every day to empty the trash and make your bed for you. I would have enjoyed this hotel a lot more had it not been for the smoke. Would recommend this place, but don't book a non-smoking room if you don't smoke!

Good hotel while staying in Nagano. The hotel provides all the necessary amenities: toothbrush, comb, shaver, shampoo, washing machine etc. Very polite welcome even though we showed up without an reservation. Floor carpet in room and hallway are a bit old and dirty. It will take you the same time to walk from here to the Zenko-ji temple as it would from the hotels around the train station. Just keep in mind it takes 20 min to walk to and from the main train station. (A tip for the hotel would be to provide a discounted taxi service to the train station upon request). There is a closer 'metro' kind station for some relevant sightseeing (including snow-monkey) in the area 10 min away by foot.

Nice place. Good price and not bad location. Just 10 minutes walking to from the main station. 10 minutes walking to Gondo station, where you can access to the train to Yudanaka, the place where you you csn go to the snow monkey park.

Very convenient location. Only a few minutea walk from the station. Comfortable stay and very friendly staff.

The hotel looks old and smell like cigarette some places but I search and this was the better option by price.

Disappointed that the wifi did not work.

Rooms are fairly clean, service is mediocre. The number of parking lots is not enough.
